Stuck To The Barrel

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

It’s been a great week with spring finally showing
its face 🙂 Yeppers, the snow has all melted away
and we are even having visits from a friendly little
deer. It’s been coming back every day. Judy and
I have begun taking pictures of it. It looks directly
at us while we take pictures, but we don’t seem to
bother it. Benny and Milo pay it no mind hehehe.
Anyways, we’ve enjoyed watching it. Not sure if
it’s a doe or buck being it is still quite young and
I ain’t getting close enough to look LOL. It’s mom
might be in the woods watching it. So that’s all for
now on Bamby hehehe. Judy and I went shopping
yesterday and then stopped off at Houlton Farms
Dairy and got her and I some ice cream. It was a
beautiful day for eating ice cream and obviously
everybody else in town thought the same hehehe.
Yep, that place was busy. I got a hot fudge sundae
and Judy got a banana split. It’s 66 F degrees and
the sun’s shining bright today. It was supposed to
get up the around 78 F degrees today, but I don’t
think it’s gonna make it. It might make 71 though.
In any sense, it’s a beautiful spring day, but the
trees are still lacking in the leaf department LOL.
They’ll start growing soon. I can see buds on the
branches so leaves are soon to follow. Judy and
I even saw some seagulls in town LOL. I think
they were lost hehehe. Nah, we see them all of
the time in town, but not during the winter LOL.
It be too darned cold for em then 🙂 I don’t know
where they hang out, but they’re not in town or
at least I haven’t seen them in the cold of winter.
I think Benny misses the snow, but it looks like
he’s enjoying the sunshine and warmth. Judy
went over to her sister Trudy’s house today so
that her and her hubby could get out of the house
together and do something. Benny wanted to go
with Judy so he’s with her now. Milo is sleeping
right behind me in the floor. I went and took a
few pictures of our deer. It’s back out there just
wandering around eating grass. It looks over
at me from time to time, but then continues with
it’s eating. I guess it’s not bothered by us here.
Yep, we have a pretty lively place around here.
LOL, not really! I had to open up the window
in here. It was getting sort of warm and stuffy.
I’m tired as heck right now, because my body
was aching all morning and I couldn’t get any
sleep, but I did finally nod off after I got so tired
that even a Earth Quake wouldn’t of bothered
me hehehe. But yet, it was a short nap, being
Judy had to get up and so shortly after she got
up, I got up and fixed her and I some cereal.
No telling when she’ll be home. It all depends
on when Dennis and Trudy get back home from
their day out together. Our new neighbors have
been settling in. I’m planning on taking my conga
drums outside in the next few days and doing a
little music video. I haven’t done one in a while.
Judy and I are planning on going to the circus
in the next few days, but not sure if we’ll make
it. If we do, I’ll bring my camera and take a
few pictures if they’ll let me 🙂 LOL Judy might
try to leave me there. She’s said from time to
time that I belonged in a circus. Or was that a
zoo? No matter hehehe, it ain’t gonna happen.
Nope, I ain’t hanging with the monkeys hehehe.
I took my daughter Jamye to the zoo back when
she was younger and when we passed by the
ape cage, she said daddy they look like you 🙂
Yes I have long hairy arms, but no I am not an
ape hehehe. OK so next topic. I’m still waiting
on the results on my PC that’s in Texas being
repaired. I’m sure they will do their best as they
have always done. They did inform me that the
Gateway mother board would not suffice another
processor, so I guess I’ll have to stick with the
1.4 GHZ that it has. Then I asked them if they
could put in a faster video card and they said
they would look into it, but said it had extra
slots for more RAM, so they might add more
to it. We’ll see what they are able to do to get
it up and running at least a little faster hehehe.
Mandy told me that she thought Ron was going
to be able to get my info off of my hard drive
and put it on a new one or fix the old one that
I think had some bad boot sectors. Needless
to say, life goes on. So what else is in the news
of the Pearce’s Place? I ordered a couple sonic
squeaker toys for the boys. Mostly for Milo
being he’s hard of hearing and cannot hear the
regular noise making dog toys . The sonic is
supposed to be only heard by them. I bought
them at Coupaw.com. We’ve gotta take care
of them boys and make sure they’re happy 🙂
It’s 70 F degrees now and 3:30 PM. Nope I
don’t think it’s gonna make it to 78 F degrees,
but 70 will do hehehe. 78 F is too warm for me.
One of the reasons I don’t miss Texas is due
to the overkill on the heat scenario every year.
It was literally killing me being I dehydrate
real easy due to the loss of my colon and lack
of small intestines. Plus I am very hot natured.
Although as I have grown older, I have found
I do get cold more than I used to, but I still
can’t handle the heat. Warm weather also
makes my asthma worse. Yes cold weather
also affects my asthma, but most times only
in a blizzard or when I’m struggling through
the snow hehehe. I have one finger on my
left hand that gives me the dickens when it
gets too cold. The others I have no problem.
I got the index finger on my left hand frost
bitten back years ago when I was working
at Rabel Inc. down in Terrell TX. I carried
some barrels outside using the fork lift and
when I reached around to lift them off of
the skid, I stuck to the barrel. The index
finger on my left hand got the worst of it 🙂
I stayed stuck to the barrel for a few hours
until someone noticed that I never came
back in LOL. This of course was during the
winter hehehe. So, what else is there to
ramble about? I’ve got our little portable
air conditioner ready to turn on when the
days get too warm and sticky hehehehehe.
It has a dehumidifier setting on it that we
often use more than the cooling setting
The dehumidifier settings usually cools the
house better than the cooling setting. It
uses the moisture in the air and blows out
cool non humid air. God has kept His Hand
on our household and protected us as He
has always. Yes we have problems from
time to time and our struggles almost wear
us down, but He gives us strength to go
on. My granddaughter Sami is in need of
prayer. She’s not doing too well. Please
keep her and my daughter Jamye in your
prayers. I wish I could be there for them,
but life just doesn’t offer me that ability.
Jamye, I love you and Sami bunches 🙂
I’m sure God is doing what He needs to
do. Often it’s not what we want, but it is
the best He does, so always have faith.
Now I believe it’s time for me to be taking
my little venture back through all that I’ve
written here to see if I can find me a good
word or phrase that I can use for the title
of today’s brand new poem. So it’s away
I go to that place of my recollection that
I always like to call RECOLLECT VILLE.
I think I found a fairly decent title and now
after checking I see that I have not used
it yet, so used it shall be today hehehe.
Here goes.

Stuck To The Barrel

Seamless the time frames
of yesterdays chores
some might seem endless
with life’s swinging doors.
Stuck to the barrel
of times torment waste
sometimes we might just
react then in haste.
Hurrying blindly
making things worse
stuck to the barrel
might seem like a curse.
Yet with our choices
of patterns we find
there might be lessons
in a barrels design.
Stuck to the barrel
of timeless perception
you might discover
a seamless connection.
Doing the same things
expecting a change
stuck to the barrel
does not rearrange.
Change up your format
of daily times peril
and you’ll find lesser times
stuck to the barrel.

OK, so there ya go. I hope my rambling didn’t
bore ya to tears and maybe you understood the
poem a little bit. Judy and Benny just walked
in. LOL Benny’s a tired pup. I bet he had fun
playing with his Yorki cousins. He’s lying in the
floor with Milo now and he is already asleep 🙂
Judy is browsing the Internet now. I might need
to hurry and get this done so that we can eat.
I’m getting a little hungry. That bowl of cereal
has pretty much been flushed in the toilet LOL.
In other words it’s already run its course in me.
Without a colon there’s not much that sticks
with me. Of course by looking at me you would
think otherwise hehehe. The medicines they
gave me back in 1994 and 95 are what that
put this weight on me. At that time steroids
were the only thing they knew of to deal with
Ulcerative Colitis and it made me swell up and
gain weight. Now days due to my bad feet
and legs I am unable to do much exercise,
but I do what I can. Most is with me walking
out to check the mail or to just walk around
taking pictures. It’s painful, but I have to
do that or I will get to where I cannot walk
at all, so I shall continue on. LOL Judy
just went to the bathroom and Milo is now
scratching on the bathroom door and barking
trying to get her to come out hehehehehe.
He is so freaken silly 😉 I believe it’s time
for me to be telling you what I tell you
every week and that is I wrote some more
poems and haiku. Yeppers, 10 more poems
with 1 of them being sort of Christmassy.
I also wrote 22 more haiku for all of my
haiku lovers out there. I hope you find
at least 1 or 2 of either or both that you
like. Now I believe it’s time for me to
begin my search for that not so elusive
off switch, but not before I wish you a
most wonderful weekend a blessings
filled week. Remember, Jesus loves
you and we do too. OK, so where are ya
you little varmint? LOL I see ya hiding.
Right there behind my tissue box that is
unstable and now wobbling due to you
leaning up against it and peeking over it.
Gotcha, see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill, Judy, Benny and Milo

Oh yea, I accidentally wrote 1 too many
poems,so there is ONE extra making the
total to be 11 not 10 🙂

Now on with the poems and haiku
10 and 22 hehehehehehehehehehe 🙂

Arm In Arm

The future beholds us
watching from a cloud
arm in arm standing
true love endowed.
Showers of blessings
within our view
arm in arm displays
me now with you.
Angels united
as flavors of God
watching waiting
from there so abroad.
Cloud looking hillsides
with us in a trance
thinking of past life
and our song and dance.
Two together angels
we search through the skies
arm in arm there then
as we do apprize.
Looking beyond there
what times had foretold
arm in arm you and I
better than gold.

I wrote this poem as a sort future poem for
when Judy and I find our pathways to Heaven.

As Rain Falls Down

Those April showers
display such a sight
on through the day
and into the night.
As rain falls down
it makes things wet
with its own time
we cannot forget.
April with showers
that display the gain
found amidst now
with moments of rain.
Seasonal journeys
which April displays
as rain falls down
the coming of days.
So as the day ends
with all that I see
I thank the rains
for falling so free.
Giving mother nature
waters to grow
flowers to bloom
and rivers to flow.
As rain falls down
my thoughts come alive
how the snow melts
and birds then arrive.
Seasonal counting
brings me the sight
as rain falls down
each day and each night.

Whirling Round

The world’s a turning
whirling true
around and around
changing its view.
Seasonal stories
with up ways and down
are with the Earth
just whirling around.
Sometimes with snowflakes,
sometimes with rain
whirling around
again and again.
Often the seasons
change their detail
whirling around
as new days set sail.
Pathways of thresholds
that open and close
often find doorways
that sort of oppose.
Rains found with snowflakes
and icicles too
often are found as
what many view.
Sometimes the seasons
of yesterdays page
whirling around then
changes the stage.
The axis is shifted
changing our view
whirling around
of then thereunto.

Kept Me Safe

Passed days of childhood
I see now real clear
a whirring fan in the night
that I could hear.
A security blanket in way
that made that great sound
in the night with my night light
where peace was found.
A teddy bear a fluffy bear
also with me
kept me safe with whirring fan
so peacefully.
My mom and dad said that God
was always right there
and He also kept me safe
and heard my prayer.
My childhood memories
still live close to mind
as all the wonderful things
safely combined.
Now as I’m reminiscing
with smile on my face
I see how mom and dad
truly kept me safe.

Tomorrow’s Thoughts

My passed found
tomorrow’s thoughts
left me standing
alone and lost.
Losing today in
what’s not here
tomorrow’s thoughts
turn yesteryear.
Things that passed by
while I stood
with tomorrow’s
neighborhood.
Often losing
my now today’s
leaves me standing
in a haze.
Tomorrow’s thoughts
become the past
as they turn to
shadows cast.
Lengthy thinking
what’s not here
leaves me stood
with yesteryear.
Due to losing
where and when
and not seeing
time agin.

Sunshine Comes Shining

Spring comes with showers
of April desires,
then May comes in with
more it acquires.
Sunshine comes shining
with its radiant view
displaying everything
dawns day anew.
Pictured as rays of light
shining so bright
sunshine comes shining
with its own delight.
Laughing little light beams
bring forth their shine
that is God given
as your days and mine.
Passionate displays
the sun is designing
while it comes daily as
sunshine comes shining.

Mundane Moments

Times we’ve gotten used to
the daily routines
finds us so often
just doing dumb things.
Those mundane moments
that often display
will make so many to
forget to pray.
As time goes ticking
with minutes we see
we might find mundane
our own history.
Allowing yourself to
never find change
brings mundane moments
that others see strange.
For it’s the changes
in life’s daily course
that helps us grow with
a momentous source.
Let yourself grow now
passed now today
with mundane moments
of lesser that way.

My Scenic Christmases

Those times we went driving
and looking around
at the decorations
found all over town.
My scenic Christmases
were road driven seas
lights that were lit up
on houses and trees.
Each house with beauty
sometimes in the yard
that could of been
on a Hallmark card.
Through all my history
I searched to find
Christmastimes beauty
in my scenic mind.
My scenic Christmases
live still today,
but now with white snow
a wonderful way.
For in my passed days
white did not show
because in Texas then
it did not snow.
Memories are growing
with each Christmastime
as I continue to
see them sublime.

Despite The Weather

My own life of times
from days long ago
found me with rhymes
so bitter with woe.
Things I had gone through
despite the weather
brought me to misery
less a forgetter.
Times I’d forgotten
that one day came back
just like a choo-choos
time railroad track.
Often making journeys
down memory lane
despite the weather
that now does attain.
Scenes seem recorded
as my own lifestyle
despite the weather
now finds me a smile.
For I have survived
those momentous times
despite the weather
and many land mines.
Now I am finding
those times long ago
taught me the lessons
I needed to know.

A Systematic Breath

A breath found with conclusions
as so many breathe
is what’s systematically
making many grieve.
Moments found in patterns
written in the mind
a systematic breath will breathe
each moment out of line.
Taking strides precautions
that might just seem too weird
as a systematic breath breathed
that seems too stiffly steered.
Driven by their OCD
and systematic view
many find their life and times
a little bit askew.
For a systematic breath then
is good from time to time
if it is not always
found within your mind.
A little bit loose planning
can bring ones joyous gain
as it shows surprises
that plans cannot attain.

Postponed Occurrence

An ironic moment
of then there about
might of been postponed
without a doubt.
A postponed occurrence
that time brought ahead
might seem ironic
when it’s done and said.
For when postponing
you might find so true
what your postponing
you might need to do.
So then postponing
becomes later date
of what that maybe then
just could not wait.
A postponed occurrence
might then just become
later a lesson
of what needed done.

Haiku
for May 2, 2015

Springtime has arrived
as it points out its beauty
in flowers and trees.

Evenings setting sun
brings forth a starry night sky
sometimes with the moon.

As a painter paints
he discloses inner feelings
found in the brushstrokes.

Without forgiveness
no one would go to Heaven
for we all have sinned.

Linings of a coat
are so often never seen,
but they keep you warm.

A heart that’s broken
finds it hard to love again,
but time can heal it.

God loves everyone
for many wrong doers can change
if they find the truth.

Losing a loved one
is not a true loss at all,
for Heaven awaits.

The day moves forward
leaving shadows of itself
found in the future.

Limiting yourself
might become your own downfall,
for growth is beyond.

Dismal rainy days
can become as pure rainbows
painted in your mind.

Without yesterday
today and tomorrow are
without the lessons.

Trying too quickly
to walk on through a doorway
could find you despair.

Looking in the field
I see a young deer walking
grazing on the grass.

The fan blades turning
make a sort of whirring sound
found as hypnotic.

Scenes within springtime
come alive with sights and sounds
joined by aromas.

While the day moves on
it’s always painting pictures
of here there about.

Losing direction
needs us to stop and take heed,
then seek the right way..

Not allowing God
to be a part of your life
could find you Hell bent.

Too many people
speaking too many choices
can cause confusion.

Today brings choices
with either happy or sad
to live within us.

Pain is a venture
that many deal with each day,
for they have no choice.
