Uncountable Blessings

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

It’s been a sad week here at the Pearce’s place,
but it’s cheered up a bit since the last few days.
Are you ready for me to tell ya why?  Well Judy
had been wanting another dog,  but we weren’t
allowed to have more than 2 dogs.  Besides,  we
had our hands full with Benny and Milo.  Now
as Milo has moved on to Heaven and his picture
hangs in our living room with his joyful essence,
we found ourselves in need of another dog to fill
the void.  Benny still misses Milo and I’m sure
he will always as we will also.  But Judy had her
eyes on a little Shihtzu named Rocky and I said,
let’s get him.  We need the sounds of those little
paws running around playing in our home and it
had gotten too quiet.  Anyways,  Judy’s brother
Ricky loaned us the money to get Rocky and we
picked him up from the airport July 16 which
was Benny’s 4 year birthday.  Rocky is 3 years
old.  He came from Florida.  Boy is he in for
a surprise come wintertime LOL.  Rocky is a
lot like Milo was.  He doesn’t like the outdoors,
but it seems he was never potty trained so we
have been working with him every day to get
him to understand that peeing and pooping
is done outside,  not inside LOL.  He’ll learn.
We have only had him for 3 days ya know 🙂
Benny came with us to pick Rocky up from
the airport and when he saw me take Rocky
out of the crate,  he went crazy with joy,  but
I don’t think he was aware that Rocky was
coming home with us until I put him in the
car with him.  Benny got a little growly at
him 🙂  but then even Milo got a little growly
at Benny sometimes hehehe.  I’m sure they
will become the best of friends in time just
like Benny and Milo were,  for even people
aren’t always quick to become friends.  It
takes time.  So,  what else is there to tell
ya about the goings on around this place?
Well,  last night was the first night since we
got Rocky that he didn’t poop in the floor,
so we might be getting through to him,  but
time will tell.  He did though end up in here
with me after Judy and her sister headed
up to see Ricky at 11 AM today and well,
Rocky had an accident.  Yep,  he pooped in
here and I put his nose down to it and then
I spanked him saying NO.  Then I put him
outside and cleaned up the poop.   It’ll take
time.  We had to stay after Benny until it
finally clicked that he doesn’t get spanked
if he poops outside hehehe.  Yep,  this home
is full of surprises LOL.  We bought some
training spray when we got Benny,  but it
never worked.  You’re supposed to spray it
where you want them to go potty.  We’re
giving it a try with Rocky,  but once again,
time will tell 🙂  Judy sprayed it on our car
tires for some reason hehehe and he went
and peed on them,  just like dogs will never
do LOL.  Yes,  we do silly stuff.  Judy can’t
count the times that I have done some crazy
stuff hehehe.  I think she enjoys my antics,
such as my making up songs off the top of
my head.  She’s amazed at how I do that 🙂
Yet she knows I am a quick thinker being
I can write 10 poems and 22 haiku in just
a matter of a few hours LOL.  I can’t wait
to read Judy’s new book,  but she’s still in
the process of writing it and going back
and making changes ever so often.  She
had sort of slacked off writing with the
situation of Milo facing us,  but now with
our new little boy,   she might get back to
writing.  She writes great poetry too.  Not
quite as much as I do,  but then.  I don’t
know of anyone that writes as much as I
do hehehehe.  It seems I have trouble with
my thinker never shutting down.  It does
get irritating at times,  but it’s God’s gift
to me,  so I use it as best that I can.  It’s
62 F degrees right now at 2:30 PM.  It
rained a big part of the morning,  but at
the moment it’s just sprinkling.  Rocky
is right behind me in a doggy bed playing
with a toy.  A squeaking toy I might add 🙂
I don’t think he ever had a doggy bed or
any toys,  because it took some time to
get him to understand that the bed that
we were putting him in was for him and
he’s been going to town with all of the
many doggy toys that we have LOL.  All
morning it was squeaky squeak with him
in his doggy bed LOL.  Benny is back at
his perch on one of the recliners in the
living room.  He’s our little guard dog 🙂
I wish our landlord would hurry and mow
the lawn.  The grass is getting rather high.
I got the weed eater out yesterday and cut
a few down to size so that we could set up
our picnic table and the boys swimming
pool.  I also got the doghouse moved over
beside our front steps and it seems that
Rocky likes it.  He took a few tours inside
and on top of it.  I still find myself crying
over the loss of Milo,  but he is in a better
place now and in no more pain.  Through
Jesus and His love we will all be united
again one day when our time comes,  so
we will see him again.  God is great and
He has most surely blessed our home.
With God,  all things are possible and
blessings are given freely and forgiveness
through His Son is endless.  Remember,
life has it’s different portholes of which
we will pass.  Allow God inside your
heart and learn the power of prayer 🙂
Judy and I would be nothing without
God in our lives.  We’ve so much to be
thankful for.  We’ve had uncountable
blessings.  We have another blessing
now with us to give us smiles.  Benny
will in time learn to love his new little
brother.  It took Milo a while to learn
to love Benny.  Milo would snarl at
him time to time if Benny got on his
nerves LOL.   Benny does the same,
being Benny is now the big brother 🙂
Rocky just jumped up to my leg and
he wants me to pet him.  Awwwwww!
Now he’s lying down in the floor.  He’s
happy and looking up at me with his
little smile.  Thank You God for all
that You do for our family.  Judy and
I are always with Your protection as
we watch each day go by.   If you do
not know God and His Son,   then I
hope that you will one day take the
time to get to know Him.  So now
I reckon it’s time for me to begin my
search back through all that I have
written to see if I can find me a good
word or phrase that I can use for the
title for today’s brand new poem.  So
it’s away I go to that little place of my
recollection that I always like to call
RECOLLECT VILLE.  I think I found
a decent title and now after checking
I see that I have not used it yet,  but it’s
getting used today.  Here goes 🙂

Uncountable Blessings

When life seems perplexing
for what you perceive
uncountable blessings
are there to retrieve
Portions momentous
might come into view
while displaying only
what bad comes to you.
Yet from encounters
uncountable shows
blessings from Lord God
to heal all our woes.
It might take some time
for peace found in frame,
but within Lord Jesus
there’s power in The Name.
Uncountable blessings
come to us each day,
but often unnoticed
within our which way.
Time becomes patterns
for many transgressing
but Lord God still gives us
uncountable blessings.
Forgiveness through Jesus
as each day moves on,
He still gives us blessings
even when we are wrong.

OK,  how’s that?  I hope you got something
out of that.  Did my rambling on an on about
our boys bore ya to tears LOL?  I hope not.
I just let Rocky outside to do his business 🙂
I hope he does and he doesn’t just sit on the
top steps wanting to come back inside as he
does almost every time we let him out hehehe.
I just figured I just gave him and Benny some
treats and thought he might need to go out
for a bit to potty.  Benny is once again lying
on the recliner in the living room.  I’ll go and
let Rocky back in after a bit.  He’ll be OK
out there.  It’s not raining and it’s only 63 F
degrees.  Not quite the summers that I grew
up with hehehe.  It’s 4 PM and I don’t think
it’s gonna get any warmer today.  Tomorrow
the high is supposed to be in the lower 70’s.
I don’t miss that Texas heat.  Looking back
I can remember many heat strokes and a
few sunburns hehehe.  Of course one can
get sunburned up here just as easily as in
Texas,  but the heat isn’t near as bad LOL.
I just went and let Rocky back inside and
noticed that it had started sprinkling agin
and he was a little wet 🙂  He’s OK.  It must
of just started sprinkling.  He’s back in
here with me now.  LOL the weather is
changing my conga drums tuning status.
Now my smaller conga is the bass.  I’ll
need to retune them before I play them
again 🙂  Life in the rainy state of Maine.
LOL if it’s not snowing,  it’s raining and
visa versa.  So is there anything that I’ve
forgotten to tell you?  Nope,  I think I’ve
said all that I need to say aside from the
regular that I tell you almost every week
and that is,  I wrote some more poems
and haiku.  Yeppers,  10 more poems,
but none of them are Christmas poems
this week.  Maybe next week 🙂  I also
wrote 22 more haiku for all of the haiku
lovers out there.  I hope you can find
1 or 2 of either or both that you like.
Now I believe it’s time for me to begin
my search for that not so elusive off
switch,  but not before I wish you a
most joyous weekend or what ever is
left of it and a blessings filled week.
Remember,  Jesus loves you and we
do too.  Now where’s that dad burned
off switch trying to hide this week? 🙂
Hmm,  me thinks I might see a little
bit of movement behind my statuette
that our old neighbors gave me that
says I think you’re nice.  Yep,  there
ya are you little whippersnapper LOL.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny and Rocky Pearce
“never ever forgetting Milo”

Now it’s on with the poems and haiku
10 and 22 hehehehehehehehehehehe 🙂

Tomorrow’s Destiny

With every ending
another begins
tomorrow’s destiny
moments depend.
Seen from a distance
as now passes by
tomorrow’s destiny
might seem to fly.
Passing of choices
from our yesterdays
tomorrow’s destiny
comes in some ways.
Often as turnstiles
we never did see
tomorrow’s destiny
creates history.
Time frames unnoticed
as pages are turned
tomorrow’s destiny
ones sadly discern.
Found as just sadness
turning around
tomorrow’s destiny
needs prayer abound.
Throughout a prayer
some God given free
good can be found in
tomorrow’s destiny.

A Leaf That Blows

On a summers day
a leaf that blows
finds a path
wherever it goes.
Wind driven journeys
with leaves blowing free.
on a summers day
there’s so much to see.
Tree’s found a swaying
with wind blowing through
the scenes are all found
as a time thereunto.
A leaf that blows
with others each day
the moments all find
there’s so much to say.
Rustling thusly
a leaf that blows
follows the wind
wherever it goes.

Looking Too Fast

Minutes go quickly
when not taking time
looking too quickly
not seeing the sign.
Things we encounter
as our shadows cast
sometimes we miss things
when looking too fast.
Not taking time to
enjoy what we see
looking to fast then
leaves a degree.
Times that we hurried
to see and look on
looking too fast then
was lost in the dawn.
We might discover
what glances can give
and looking too fast can
not see what that lives.
Take now the time to
look closely and see
all of God’s blessings
for you and for me.

Mistaken Shadows

A shadowy figure
might come into view
that is mistaken
for something thought true.
Mistaken shadows
can sometimes be seen
that of a nightmare
or there in-between.
Often our viewpoint
is just but a gaze
that is mistaken
for horrific phase.
Our imaginations
can sometime run wild
and make us see things
we thought as a child.
Mistaken shadows
from our inner fears
might just be stemming
from our yesteryears.

Within The Rain

A storm cloud comes
with rains to fall
and brings some sights
that I recall.
Within the rains
are memories
of childhood days
with raindrop trees.
Under an oak tree
with rain falling down
I would be sheltered
with little dry ground.
Within the rain
there’s also a sign
lightning found striking
time after time.
Thunder heard roaring
as loud as can be
within the rain
I can hear and see.
Scenes floating by now
as storm clouds attain
I am now dripping
within the rain.

The Life Of A Star

Beyond the cosmos
so many are twinkling
stars up there daily
with all that they’re thinking.
Found then so magically
at night shining bright
the life of a star
is with twinkling light.
The stars that we’re seeing
might not now exist,
for they might of died
but their light does persist.
The distance the light years
determines their shine
the life of a star
and each found design.
Some watch them joyfully
from here to afar
to try to get a glimpse of
the life of a star.

Searching My Mind

So many mysteries
come and then go
searching my mind
what all I should know.
Things I’ve encountered
with time marching on
brings all the journeys
my mind dusk to dawn.
Searching my mind for
my past days gone by
often will help me
with who,  where and why.
Things I remember
that life taught me so
searching my mind
often helps me to grow.
Using those lessons
that time taught to me
God shows me truly
what I need to see.

Loss Of A Loved One

As life finds its ending
beginnings are found
loss of a loved one
finds true higher ground.
The death of the body
leaves life to move on
as Heaven beacons
the soul’s never gone.
Loss of a loved one
will bring us despair,
but God gives us peaceful
with moments of prayer.
Our love continues
to live in the skies
while loss of a loved one
might be in our eyes.
Find all the blessings
from loved ones you’ve known
and let not their death
makes misery grown.
Remember your loved ones
are now well to be
and those that have gone on
one day you will see.

Sometimes A Story

Many find wording
of something ones say
sometimes a story
to ones day to day.
Many find doubtful
what often is said
sometimes a story
is made up instead.
Yet many speaking
might mean all the truth
with many feeling
the pulling of a tooth.
Sometimes a story
can be reality
as time continues on
with all that we see.
So many journeys
might seem as mere lies,
simply because they’re not
seen with our own two eyes.

A Sudden Thought

A thought of despair,
a moment of wonder
might come so suddenly
just like some thunder.
A sudden thought
from a moment of time
might become lemons
are maybe a lime.
Often our moments
will fall out of sync,
the best of a thought
and the right way to think.
Time becomes riddles
of patterns we find
sometimes so suddenly
time after time.
So take perception
to a much better sought,
don’t always let troubles
become a sudden thought.
Sometimes our thinking
can bring forth our pain
of a sudden thought
with lesser to gain.
Look for the good times
within your own past
and make s sudden thought
of the good times to last.

Haiku
for July 18,  2015

Beside misery
holds a place of discontent
that we could avoid.

Counting the raindrops
becomes an endless pattern
as storm clouds reside.

Walking in meadows
might leave footsteps uncounted
as time marches on.

Problems of others
can often become our own
if we’re not careful.

So many in need
stand with wanting arms stretched out,
but many ignore.

Morning brings chances
found within minutes counted
with choices to make.

Some scenes that we see
are often there every day,
but we don’t notice.

Beyond the starlight
holds so many mysteries
that we don’t perceive.

Tomorrow’s daylight
might be hidden fast away
behind a few clouds.

Right now a moment
might seem as eternity,
but be just the wind.

Thoughts that we’re thinking
can become reality.
Careful what you think.

Within the mind’s eye
a mystery can evolve
and become your fear.

Thinking of time passed
you might perceive some mistakes
that you must live with.

Life can be funny
bringing laughter from actions
that we stumbled on.

God shows us mercy
more times than we’ll ever know.
We should be thankful.

Linking together
all of our past and present,
we will find lessons.

Seeking for a smile
could find you in the middle
and being laughed at.

Let ego to dim
while allowing God to shine
in all that you do.

Beyond the starlight
holds places only dreamed of,
but yet might exist.

With squeaking doorways
comes a need for some oiling
as others just wait.

Clinging to the past
could prevent you from growing,
so learn to let go.

Rhythms of thunder
speak patterns within the sky
as lightning prevails.
