If Not By Words

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

I’m back with more incessant rambling or at
least seeming as so 🙂 The weather has been
fairly nice aside from a few rains and what
not. It hasn’t been all that cold at least not
the way I see it. Right now at 3:30 PM it’s
39 F degrees and the high is supposed to be
40 F. My weather program shows snow in
the later part of the week around Thursday
along with some rain showers. We shall see.
We had 200 gallons of heating oil delivered
and now we’re waiting for our landlord to
get our furnace going again. It hasn’t been
used since last March when it quit working.
Calvin (our landlord) came by last night and
worked on it, but he didn’t have any new jets
for it, so he said he’ll go to the store Monday
and buy a bunch of them because he knows
he’ll need them for all of the other people
that are renting from him due to them also
having kerosene burning furnaces hehehe.
We’re OK. Our radiator heaters keep us
quite warm, but then that is due to the
fact that we stay in here (the PC room)
and our bed room most of the time. We
actually only need the furnace to heat the
bathroom and the rest of the house to
prevent the water from freezing up. So
we’re Ok for now, but hopefully Calvin
will get the furnace going Monday or
before the temperature begins to drop
to the single digits LOL. I’m sure he
will, because he don’t want the water
to freeze up either. It would mean more
work for him hehehe. For now we are
doing quite well with our PC monitors
and radiator heater in our computer
room where we hang out most of the
time, because the monitors put out
a lot of heat and often we don’t even
turn on the radiator heater in here
when it’s only around 50 F degrees
outside. We stay quite toasty. Often
we have to open up the door because
it gets a bit too warm. But when it’s
days like today we turn the radiator
heaters on low and that evens it out.
Those radiator heaters and portable
air conditioner were some of the best
things I ever bought LOL aside from
maybe our brand new snow blower
which I have yet to of had the chance
to try it out, but I saw many videos
of other people using it and it seems
to work great. No complaints from
them. A few people uploaded their
own videos to Youtube using the snow
blower and they were amazed at how
well it worked. Only a couple had a
few disgruntles such as it only does
a maximum of 6 inches. But that just
means you will have to try and not let
it get that deep before using it, other
wise, break out the snow shovel. I’ve
been using a snow shovel since 2007
when we moved up here and I will be
glad to not have to use it as much. My
back, shoulders and legs are telling
me to knock it off LOL. I did see one
dude that on cases of deeper snow
where he skimmed off the top layer
with the Snow Joe and then he was
able to finish it up with a second pass.
No matter, if it helps me out a little
bit, that’s what matters. OK so next
topic. Judy and I went shopping the
other day and we ran into all of her
sisters and their husbands hehehehe.
We did a little selfy of us. Of course
the other husbands ran off when they
saw Trudy get out her cell phone to
take pictures. So it ended up, I was
the only male to hang around and so it
was them and me. I’m going to put
the picture in the stationery so ya can
see all of our smiling faces. So, what
else is there to tell ya? Oh yea, Judy’s
birthday was Friday Nov 6. We had a
great day. I got up early that morning
and wrote her a couple of birthday
poems and put them into pictures that
are framable. She liked the first one
I did the best 🙂 I did too sort of. It
was sort of a reminder of when we met
and then got married. Anyways, I may
put the poems in with the rest of the
poems that I wrote Thursday. Ya never
know what I’m gonna do Mwahahaha.
Boy, the days are getting short. It’s
only 4:13 PM and it’s already getting
dark hehehe. The low for tonight is
supposed to be 31 F degrees. It looks
like the radiator heaters will be on
high tonight LOL. I took the boys out
for a field trip before Judy got up on
her birthday. Then I fixed us some
breakfast (waffles, sausage and eggs).
We then later in the day ordered us
some take out from Tang’s Chinese
Restaurant. We did a little emergency
shopping at Walmart before going to
pick up our order from Tang’s. We
forgot a few things Tuesday when we
ran into her sisters LOL. I bought
Judy and I couple of slices of carrot
cake for her birthday, but I had no
idea that they put raisins in it, so we
both had trouble eating it. Me only
for reasons that raisins don’t do me
well being without a colon. They
actually make matters worse. Judy
just doesn’t like raisins. Oh well I
tried 🙂 It didn’t matter, we had a
great dinner while we watched TV.
We couldn’t afford to do much else,
but it was good enough. All in all it
was a great day. We bought Judy a
Fry Daddy elite Tuesday for an early
birthday present. She’s always been
wanting one, so she got it. Saturday,
we took the boys out for another little
field trip. Of course they’ve gotten
to where they take a few on their own,
but that’s OK. They love to run in
the field in front of our house. They
better enjoy it, because soon it will
be filled full of snow that will be too
deep for them to run in. I will though
make use of the snow blower and try
to plow them some places to run, play
and poop hehehe. I’ve been doing that
every year for the boys. I did it for
Benny and Milo and I’ll do it for Benny
and Rocky. Benny loves the snow. It
will be interesting to see how much
Rocky likes it. He seemed to love it
back in October when it snowed an
inch or so, but how well will he like
it when it’s feet and not inches hehehe?
We shall see. Though I have a feeling
that he will love it just as much if not
more than Benny. He loves to play.
We’ll give him a treat and he’ll lie
it down in the floor in front of him
wanting one of us to try and get it.
Then when we reach down to get it
the game is on LOL. He pounces 🙂
Then if you get it and give it back
to him, it will be a repeat until he is
ready to just eat the treat or gnaw
on it LOL. I was doing that with him
the other day and Judy said “hmm, I
wonder if he’ll do that with me” and
she reached down and the game was
on hehehe. He does that with Benny
also which I find rather cute 🙂 They
do love one another without a doubt.
Most people think I’m crazy to want
snow, but hey, I don’t care. I think
it’s pretty and yes I still love to play in
it. Being I am from Texas, I never
saw this much snow aside from when
I was 16 and went on a singing trip
with my youth choir and we went up
in the Colorado mountains and did
some concerts at churches. Yep, that
was a lot of snow, but it was a long
time ago and only once in my life 🙂
I never had a truly white Christmas.
One year, Judy and I were driving
around in Greenville Texas and other
towns nearby looking at Christmas
lights on Christmas eve and it began
to snow a bit, but nothing near what
it does up here LOL. The snow didn’t
hang around for long and was but only
about an inch. It was what we call
up here a dusting hehehe. So, now
I get to see snow every year and so
far we’ve had a white Christmas every
year since we moved up Dec of 2007.
I hope it keeps up and we have a white
Christmas this year being my daughter
and granddaughter Sami are coming up
with Jamye’s boyfriend and his son 🙂
Though I’m pretty sure there will be
snow. I’m just a worrywart hehehehe.
According to the Farmers Almanac
for 2015-2016 we’re expecting well
above normal snow, so I believe we’ll
get our fair share of snow. Actually the
only thing I really don’t like about the
snow is when it melts and turns to slush.
Then when it re-freezes turning into ice
which has caused more of my aches
and pains by causing me to slip and
fall. I’m gonna have to by me some
new cleats to attach to my shoes. My
old ones are about stretched out and
tend to fall off at the most inappropriate
times leaving me walking minus one
and often me not aware of it hehehehe
until, well ya know, Kersplat. Yep,
that part of the snow I don’t care much
for LOL. That’s one reason that I’m
happy that it’s not snowing a lot like
it did last year at this time, because
it tended to melt on the days that it
got above freezing and then re-freeze
only to make a horrendous ice skating
driveway and steps. Up here most of
us always have ice melt pellets to toss
on the frozen ice to melt it to where
you can walk without busting your
hindquarters hehehehe. We’ll have to
buy some more this winter, but we’ve
still got some from last winter. So it
looks like we’re pretty much ready for
winter of course aside from our furnace
not working, but I’m sure that will be
fixed soon enough. It’s pitch black now
as I look outside and it’s only 5:50 PM.
It’s 36 F degrees now. Judy is working
on her book still. She’s doing as I do
when I’m writing. I will often read over
it 4 or 5 times and change a word here
and there or maybe even a whole line.
I’m sure after she is done with it, she
will have a masterpiece. Thank You
God for all of the blessings that You
have bestowed upon us. We praise
Your Name if not by words, but by
thought. You are always there for us
guiding us with Your True Spirit along
with all those that You allow to help
us make each day as a pathway of
smiles. Judy and I are thankful for
these little boys Benny and Rocky and
not to forget Milo which also brought
us joy with the time that he was with
us. Lord, thank You for everything,
even that for which we know not of
that You do AMEN. Now I believe
it’s time for me to be taking my little
journey back through all that I have
written here to see if I can find me a
good word or phrase that I can use
for the title for today’s brand new
poem. So, it’s away I go to that lil
place of my recollection that I always
like to call RECOLLECT VILLE.
I think I may have stumbled across
a decent title just a little ways back.
Now to try and put together a few
words that actually make any sense
using it LOL. Here goes…..

If Not By Words

When actions are displayed
what words do not say,
so many will wonder
if you’re true that day.
For if not for words
in our daily walk of life
people might think
that you’re filled with strife.
So often what we say
is not what we do
which often only shows
that we’re not so true.
So try to be honest
with what you display
and concur with the wording
of everything you say.
Don’t let yourself seem
what is not what you are,
for if not for words
you might seem bizarre.

Okey-dokey, there ya go 🙂 I hope that
makes sense to ya. I hope you like it, but
if not, sorry Charley hehehe. I reckon I
may have put a few of you to sleep with all
of my rambling huh. Oh well, if so, you
may have needed a nap LOL. Yep, just
call me your pillow of words hehehehehe.
So OK, what have I forgotten to tell you?
Hmm, there isn’t much to add. I think I’ve
said it all and maybe even a bit more that
I’m sure that you could of done without 🙂
So I reckon it’s time for me to be telling
you what I tell you almost every week and
that is, I wrote some more poems and
haiku. Yeppers, 10 more poems with
5 of them this week being Christmassy
and I might even add the 2 poems that I
wrote for Judy on her birthday 🙂 I once
again also wrote 22 more haiku for all of
the haiku lovers out there. I hope you
can find 1 or 2 of either or both that
you like. Now, it’s time for me to be
searching for that not so elusive off
switch, but not before I wish you a
most wonderful week or whatever is
left of it and a most precious blessings
filled week. Remember, Jesus loves
you and we do too. Now, where’s that
off switch hiding this week? LOL OK
so I do have my Cheeto bag sitting in
front of me. That doesn’t mean to try
and hide in it and cover yourself with
Cheeto dust LOL. You can be so silly.
Gotcha, see a CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill, Judy, Benny, Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

Now it’s on with the poems and haiku
10 and 22 hehehehehehehehehehe 🙂
Plus Judy’s birthday poems at end <3

Winter Instilled

Drop by drop
the snowflakes fall,
one by one
the seasons call.
Winter instilled
upon the ground,
drop by drop
seen all around.
The Christmas days
come into view,
flakes that fly
a snowy hue.
Days and nights
show center stage,
winter instilled
page after page.
That of a book
seasons fulfilled,
found as a journey
winter instilled.

Deep Down

A heart of gold
that shines so bright
might be found
with little light.
For found deep down
what many see
is overlooked
by you and me.
We often search
the outer shell
and do not see
the inner Hell.
The sights unseen
might be pure gold
beautiful hearts
with hands to hold.
So when you are
just looking around
look underneath
for love deep down.

Confused Winds

Winds of time
come and go
here and there
each way they blow.
Found confusion
winds of time
seem to have
no path in mind.
Confused winds
will seem to be
blowing leaves
that we can see.
Left and right
then up and down,
winds of time
blow all around.
It sometimes shows
some double ends
with different paths of
confused wind

Many Disguises

Disguised as someone
that they’re not
so many people
do that a lot.
Many disguises
in their daily game
often with words
of a different name.
Often it’s due to
them being scared
of them being always
seen as impaired.
Don’t let yourself
to just hide away.
Lose the disguises
not true each day.
The truth is best
as the sun rises
so don’t just use
so many disguises.

In The Snow

A Christmas scene
found in the snow
might display
some lights aglow.
Sparkling essence
on display
in the snow
for Christmas Day.
Flakes that fall
so snowy white
glisten and sparkle
day and night.
In the snow
might also be
a big snowman
for all to see.
Christmas angels
might then too
be so great
for ones to view.
A scene so precious
high and low
displays Christmas
in the snow.

Cosmic Fractions

In space beyond
what we can see
we can find
new life to be.
Cosmic fractions
intertwined
for our future
then to find.
God’s creations
beating hearts
cosmic fractions
life imparts.
Yet some doubting
thinking true,
that there’s none,
but me and you.
I’ve surmised that
we can’t be
all God did
through history.
Cosmic fractions
near to ours
God’s creations
in the stars.

Whispers In The Night

Within the night
we might just hear
a sound so faint
we barely hear.
A windy whisper
in the night
might just be
an inner sight.
A simple thing
that you recall
a moments whisper
bouncing ball.
Whispers faintly
just as words,
might just be
some distant birds.
Yet sometimes
those words are clear
faintly saying
that they’re near.
Whispers in the night
might just say
that they’re waiting
for break of day.
But those whispers
might just be
wanting you to
hear and see.
So in the night
when you hear words,
don’t assume
it’s a flock of birds,
for it might be
a lonely soul
with its whispers
times unfold.

A Christmas Glance

The songs we remember
as seasonal smiles
become reflections
that Christmas compiles.
A Christmas glance
can open a door
to a smiling face
and so much more.
Those special moments
of a happy face
warming themselves
by a fireplace,
A Christmas glance
through history
is what that instills
a Christmas tree.
A little toy train
with a working smokestack
a Christmas glance
goes around the track.
Songs sung joyously
as many would dance
this I recall
as a Christmas glance.

A Gaze Of White

A dream of Christmas
comes into frame
often at night
when sleep I attain.
A gaze of white
as snowflakes fall
is that of Christmas
large and small.
The sights I see
within my dreams
are that of magical
glistening streams
Frozen with ice
and snow thereupon
a gaze of white
continues on.
A dream of Christmas
comes in sight
within the season
a gaze of white.

A Puff Of Snow

Winter’s beginnings
are found in the air
with many snowflakes
found everywhere.
A puff of snow
that lands in place
upon the ground,
with a smiling face.
Those little flakes
a puff of snow
billow with blessings
with more to grow.
Christmastimes essence
found pure and white
a puff of snow
that comes in sight.
Then some children
roll snow around
to make a snowman
stand on the ground.
A puff of snow
becomes a man
so large and white
and oh so grand.
A carrot nose
and charcoal eyes
with hat on top
so large in size.
A button down belly
with charcoal too
that stands so tall
for us to view.
A puff of snow
becomes much more
the moment kids
go out the door.
Christmas comes
with joy and praise
and a puff of snow
for winter days.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

She Is My Blessing

My heart has found passion
inside of this one
sent down from Heaven
through Jesus God’s Son.
Today is her birthday
that adds to the years
of us together
with love that endears.
The days are surmounted
that we have been found
together with heartbeats
from God’s Higher ground.
She is my blessing
that my eyes behold
and truly I love her
as we each grow old.
Our paths were connected
with words we could see
rhymes of the times
connected history.
We found much more then
as time moved along,
for she is the one that
now does belong.
Her and I together
in a magical way
hold hands and walk on
with day after day.
So now is her birthday
to display on stage
showing her beauty
and not just her age.
Life is a journey
that often we’re guessing,
but I know we’ll make it
for she is my blessing.
I love you Judy
my wife and my friend.
My love for you shall not
ever find end.
Happy birthday darling,
my sweet honey pie.
I’ll love you always
even after I die.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Haiku
for Nov 5, 2015

The tides of oceans
show the minutes of the day
as time washes on.

Today’s circumstance
will show the key to your life
seen through tomorrow.

Various turnstiles
leave many flowers blooming
while others do not.

Amidst illusions
might be many hopes and dreams
as an oasis.

Partial seclusion
can become full seclusion
if you’re not careful.

One garden growing
can fill up many stomachs
if it’s fertilized.

Flavors of a life
come as many styles of grain
to help them to grow.

Beyond our limits
holds the key to greater life
found as we will grow.

A steady footing
will keep you on the mountain,
but one slip will fall.

Learning from troubles
makes the troubles as lessons
to help you to grow.

Mountains of viewpoints
might turn into molehills
as time goes its way.

Mornings of dewdrops
bring to life many flowers
as the sun rises.

Cohesive people
often cause many problems
if they are stupid.

Standing atop time
looking down on the moments
you might see yourself.

Deciding today
brings decisions tomorrow
made from the journey.

Plotting your course
needs a map of your choices
with best way to go.

Never ending moments
are as many photographs
of which you’ve taken.

Living for others
can cause you many troubles
when they are not there.

A new horizon
shows a glimmer of hopeful
if you look closely.

Allowing sadness
to become all that you view
can cause suicide.

Flavors of the waves
that the ocean shares each day
are with emotions.

Springtime will blossom
bringing flowers into sight
as wintertime fades.
