Near The Ocean

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

Another week has passed and we are still
walking along with New England’s summer.
Of course up where we are it doesn’t get
quite as warm as it does in the lower New
England states.  Judy and I have had an
eventful week.  OK,  maybe not so much as
what you would call eventful LOL.  To us,
anything that requires movement in any
form or fashion is eventful hehehe.  We
though took a drive down south of us to
Cutler Maine Wednesday.  Yep,  the boys
came along with us and I think they had
a blast.  We stopped ever so often to let
them out to stretch their little legs and go
potty,  on a leash of course.  Didn’t want
them running off getting hurt.  We took a
ton of pictures on our trip as we stopped
here and there.  I of course did my usual
an took pictures while she drove hehehe.
It was wonderful day for a drive and we
got a lot of great pictures.  We stopped
off at a lakes public boat dock and let
the boys out.  Judy and I took them out
on the dock and Rocky was mesmerized
with the water.  It looked as though he
was wanting to jump in for a swim,  but
aside from the fact he was on a leash,  he
might of gotten a bit chilly hehehe.  The
lake was spring fed and the water was
ice cold LOL.  You could tell because
the water was so clear that you could se
the bottom which I am fairly sure was
at least 6 or 7 feet deep where we were
standing.  Judy and I got a lot of nice
pictures of the boys and a few of Rocky
looking down at the water.  He went
side to side on the dock to look at the
water.  Right now I am hearing thunder
in the distance.  We might get a little
rain today.  I don’t mind.  The rain is
like a serenading song as it beats its
rhythmic beat on the roof of our home 🙂
I love to watch the lightning streaking
and listen to the thunder.  It’s a time
that I truly enjoy.  Of course I’m sure
that the view can change if a tornado or
other were to be in the mix :),  but as
long as it’s just lightning and thunder
with raindrops mixed in,  it’s a blessing.
OK back to our trip down south LOL.
When we got near the ocean or should
I say a bay,  it seems that the tide was
out and all we could see was mud and
people out there digging up clams.  We
both looked at each other and said,  I
hope there was not a tsunami that we
did not know about and the water was
going to come rushing back in at any
moment 🙂  Nope,  it was just the tide.
I had never seen it go out that far,  but
then we were only looking at a bay to
where it was not that deep to begin with.
Anyways,  we made it to Cutler and we
took a lot of pictures of us and the boys.
I wanted a picture of her and I with the
ocean bay and ships right behind us,
so I sat my camera on top of our car
and aimed it,   then set the 10 second
timer and hurried to get to where the
camera was aimed.  Then when I knew
where to stand,  I told Judy to get out
of the car and stand in front of the cone
and I set the timer again and hurried to
be by her side and believe it or not,  the
picture was perfect.  LOL good thing,
because I only took one picture and it
was too bright outside to see the little
screen on my camera to tell whether or
not I got a good shot or not.  I had to
straiten up the picture and crop out the
hood of the car and all,  but the picture
couldn’t of been better.  LOL sitting on
the top of the car wasn’t guarantying that
the picture would be straight or anything.
We stopped off at the Million Dollar View
on the way down there and took a few
pictures and yes we took many of the
boys.  We stopped off at a few roadside
rest areas too.  LOL between Judy and I
we took over 400 pictures.  Many times
we took pictures of the same thing and
so I kept the best of each and deleted
the blurry ones and duplicates.  It still
left me with tons of photos.  On the way
home,  Judy saw a big nest with what we
thought at the moment an eagle in it and
she stopped so I could take a few pictures.
It turned out to be what we think was a
hawk,  but it still made for a nice picture.
I took a lot of pictures faraway and zoomed
in and as I said,  it was too bright to tell
if I got some good shots.  I didn’t use my
view finder mainly because I didn’t think
of it LOL.  I’ve kind of gotten used to using
that little 1 and a half inch LCD screen 🙂
I most times use my view finder when
I am zooming in on something a long
ways away and I don’t mean a few yards
away LOL.  If I’m trying to take a picture
of the moon I will most definitely use my
view finder 🙂  I’m sure I’ll put many of
the pictures in my stationery.  Oh yea,
I finally finished with Judy’s lighthouse.
I made a ladder for it an screwed it onto
the base leading up to the lighthouse and
then screwed down the base real good
to the lighthouse.  It’s now outside being
our driveway beacon 🙂  I finished with
it yesterday and when Judy got home
from her niece’s house last night she was
greeted by the lighthouse.  She had gone
over there for a pig roast and I’ve got
some bad memories of pig roast LOL
aside from the fact that I wanted to finish
the lighthouse and get it out of the living
room.  It was in the way.  Something else
about yesterday.  It was Benny’s birthday
and Rocky’s adopted birthday being we
have no clue of his actual birthday,  so
we gave him Benny’s birthday.   Rocky
was a sort of birthday present to Benny.
We got Rocky on July 16 2015,  Benny’s
birthday 🙂  Anyways,  we figured that
Rocky couldn’t be more than a year
old so as of yesterday,  Rocky is 2 years
old and Benny is 5.  Benny’s the big bro
now.  OK maybe the older bro.  Rocky
has him a bit on size hehehe.  I sang
Happy Birthday to the both of them and
gave them treats.  They were happy,
but I’m quite sure they had no clue of
what was going on other than they were
getting treats LOL.  I got a picture of
them sitting side by side in the recliner.
The week was a very special one.  Next
month we’re going to head down south of
us to Baxter ST Park and take the boys to
a doggy day care being they don’t allow
dogs at the park.  I’m sure Benny and
Rocky will have a blast at the Katahdin
Critters.  It was recommended by the park
officials.  I am excited.  It will be a day
of picture taking.  We more than likely
will bring some food for a picnic.  I sure
hope Yogi and Boo Boo don’t come by
and try to steal our picnic basket hehehe.
Anyways,  that’s about all from our neck
of the woods.  God has been very good
to us and brought us many blessings.
I know we have a few pitfalls in life,  but
it’s with the pitfalls that we notice the
many blessings that otherwise would just
pass us by unnoticed.  Thank God for
the pitfalls and problems,  for they are
the prescription glasses to help us to
see the blessings when they come.  Now,
I believe it’s time for me to be reading
back through all that I’ve written here
to see if I can find a good word or phrase
that I can use for the title for today’s new
poem.  So it’s away I go to that place of
my recollection that I always like to call
RECOLLECT VILLE.  I think I found
a good title about a 3rd of the way down
from the beginning of my rambling LOL.
Now to see if I can do anything with it.
Here goes……….

Near The Ocean

Waves are churning
making true
the sounds of waters
ocean blue.
Scenes are setting
changing phase
near the ocean
in our gaze.
Times are counted
ships roll in
from the point
they did begin.
Near the ocean
sights are seen
colors painted
aquamarine.
The day is made
as time moves on
from dusk to dusk
and dawn to dawn.
Lives are billowed
stages set
actors of
a fisherman’s net.
Lobsters gathered
to the shore
near the ocean
sought for more.
Time is ticking,
time to go
near the ocean
to and fro.
As the day ends
left meets right
near the ocean
dark of night.

So,  as you can see,  I have the ocean on my
mind.  I miss Port Aransas TX.   It was one
of my very favorite places.  I’m glad I made
a lot of videos of the ocean when Judy and I
were down there.  I can pull a video of Port
Aransas and sit back and enjoy the waves
or even our dolphin and lighthouse cruise 🙂
Those are memories that I will remember
to my grave.  Judy and I would often head
out early in the morning to take pictures of
the sunrise as it peeked out from behind the
ocean.  Too many memories to write about,
at least here hehehe.  I would never finish
this journal at that rate LOL.  I hope you
enjoyed my poem and it brought you peace.
Also I hope you were not bored to tears
with my rambling hehehe.  I once again
need you to continue praying for my sister.
So now I reckon it’s time for me to tell you
what I tell you almost every week and that
is I wrote some more poems and haiku.  Yep,
10 more poems and 22 more haiku for all of
the haiku lovers out there.  Nope,  I didn’t
write any Christmas poems this week LOL.
Maybe next week 🙂  So,  with that said,  I
think it’s time for me to begin my search
for that not so great at hiding off switch,
but before I do that I must wish you a most
wonderful weekend or whatever’s left of it
and a truly blessings filled week.  Remember,
Jesus loves you and we do too.  Now,  hmm,
where could that ornery whippersnapper be
hiding this week?  OK,  so you’re getting
better,  but still,  you might want to think
about where you’re going have to stay
hidden for a while before actually doing it.
Hiding inside my aspirin bottle was a good
place maybe if you were not going to be
there for more than,  say,  a second or 2,
but a number of minutes only made the
bottle shake as you began gasping for air.
LOL OK,  you’re out.  Now think more
wisely next week hehehe and oh yea,
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

P.S  A link to Judy’s new book as at
the end of the journal along with the
others.  Enjoy 🙂

Now it’s on with the poems and haiku
10 and 22 hehehehehehehehehehe 🙂

Far Beyond A Star

With eyes wide open
many sights we see
are so far beyond
what is thought to be.
Mysteries of space
are stories to find
far beyond a star
another days time.
Seen as a painting
we look up above
far beyond a star
to an essence of love.
Our imaginations
can carry us away
far beyond a star
to another display.
Scenes that we’ve dreamed of
from near to afar
are places out in space
far beyond a star.

Making Friends

People walking
passing by
makes so many
want to cry.
Making friends
is not easy
for ones sometimes
turn out sleazy.
Step by step
the time depends
not to give up
making friends.
Life’s a journey
far and wide
making friends
a bumpy ride.
Often friendship
is not gained,
but a lesson
is attained.
Making friends
from day to day
needs some faith
with time to pray.

The Winds Of Time

Minutes are stirring
as time moves along
while ones are singing
a memories song.
The winds of time
are pages of style
displayed as journals
frowns and a smile.
Scenes of great starlight
and a moon overhead
display the pathways
the winds of time said.
Words of some dewdrops
that sprinkle about
may whisper softly
while they’re chilling out.
Now is just a moment
of God’s Own design
found in the pages,
the winds of time.

Whispers

Night finds heartbeats
in the dark
and a whispers
own remark.
Maybe chilling
frightful scenes
as the whispers
in your dreams.
Yet the pathways
journeyed to
might be whispers
meant for you.
In the darkness
there might be
something there
you’re meant to see.
Maybe hopeful
prayerful seen
found in whispers
of a dream.

Imagine Peace

The lives of many
are needing peace
as stormy days
give no release.
The torrent echoes
as nightmares
filled with sadness
needing prayers.
Imagine peace now
living breathing
giving people
what they’re needing.
Some look away
not wishing to see
the images there
that’s not you or me.
So take time today
and imagine peace
and pray that it comes
to give them release.

The Close Of Day

With evenings sign
that hangs so dim
the close of day
is on the limb.
Trees with shadows
branches swaying
the close of day
with all it’s saying.
Seasons journey
speaks its mind
the close of day
with each design
Some days raindrops
some days snow
the close of day
puts on a show.
Time is seconds,
moments sway
found within
the close of day.

Before The Rain

Winds might blow
to give a glance
clouds to form
their song and dance.
Maybe lightning
thunder too
before the rain
will be in view.
Maybe echoes
far and wide
before the rain
falls from the sky.
Even rainbows
may appear
before the rain
and seem sincere.
Clouds might billow
their romance
before the rain
of song and dance.

Matters Of Time

Thought is a pattern
found in the mind,
life as a journey
matters of time.
Lengths are imprinted
lines on a face,
matters of time
for ones to embrace.
Heaven is waiting
for new lives to be
matters of time
for you and for me.
Patience is virtue
that many don’t find
with every footstep
matters of time.
Don’t let your footing
to cause you to fall
with matters of time
and life’s bouncing ball.
Let Jesus help you
with each step you take,
for matters of time
shows blessings awake.

The Moons Reprise

Night is joined with
stars that shine
along with the moon
with its design.
Sometimes a portion,
sometimes a lot
the moons reprise
cannot be bought.
It glimmers brightly
often at night
while sometimes seen
with sunshine so bright.
The moons reprise
is a continued form
performed as a sliver
to new moon born.
Stories of a moon man
that smiles every night
is the moons reprise
with reflected light.
Time is a factor
it does not see,
the moons reprise
of history.

Dunes Of Life

Travels of lifestyles
can become a place
seen as a desert
filled with disgrace.
The dunes of life
are billows of scenes
some as nightmares,
some as dreams.
Many times troubles
are just but a phase
giving us lessons
to learn better ways.
Yet many storm clouds
will surely then burst
with the dunes of life
that you have rehearsed.
Learn what that’s good
and what not to do
from the dunes of life
that you have gone through.

Haiku
for July 16,  2016

A second will pass
leaving minutes remembered
that seem as a day.

The edge of darkness
holds mysteries within it
that light might not see.

Chance is a value
that many will overrate
and fall on their face.

Risk of a beetle
is that of continuing
without being mashed.

The flight of a bird
holds many scenarios
that we cannot see.

Paths of a Earth worm
are done without any sight,
but it will manage.

Within the ocean
there’s life that we cannot see
in the depths so deep.

A cloudless morning
does not mean rain will not come,
for clouds might show up.

Past unto present
brings to light journeys to find
maybe not so proud.

Lost in a whirlwind
a bird will flutter quickly
to seek a way out.

A dandelion dies
to live on another day
as it sheds its seeds.

Summer shows secrets
that only it knows right then
and then they’re displayed.

Showers of morning
fill the air with a flavor,
aroma of rain.

Thoughts of a tadpole
might not perceive its future
until it’s ready.

Where life continues
you’ll find where it also ends
as pathways connect.

A bumblebee’s life
is predestined from the start,
so it deals with it.

Never becomes ever
when never cannot exist,
for it must happen.

Highlights of evening
are the scenes that come alive
and look like magic.

Beyond a doorway
a window might be opened
allowing entrance.

The best of the best
will still be with many flaws,
for we are human.

Headlights found shining
might be life coming your way
or many troubles.

A slithering snake
makes its way across a road,
while fearing its fate.
