ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

I’m getting a slightly late start on today due to
our water being frozen and having to call our dear
landlord to have him come and fix it.  I wasn’t able
to go back to bed when I found the water frozen
at 6:30 AM and I waited till about 9 AM to call him
and tell him about the issue.  Then I had to get my
loving but tired wife up just in case Calvin needed
to come inside.  It took Calvin until about 3 PM to
get the water thawed and running again.  Then we
decided to go back to bed for a bit 🙂  It’s now 5:30
in the afternoon and I fixed Judy and I some much
belated breakfast/brunch.  So I reckon you can tell
that this day did not start off well LOL.  I guess the
same could be said for our landlord being he had to
work on the pipes from the outside connection in
the ice and snow hehehe.  He had to break all of the
ice around the hot water heater door to get it to
open so he could then thaw the pipes and do a bit
of insulating to prevent it from happening again 🙂
Yep,  this day started off a little bumpy,  but it’s
smoothing out gradually.  Judy is starting another
painting.  This weeks challenge is Christmas trees.
Last week they did snowmen 🙂  Her and all of
her family that have joined in the painting group
have all gotten real good.  I guess my heart isn’t
in painting. My heart lies in poetry and music 🙂
It’s 12 F degrees right now at 6 PM.  It’s supposed
to be 5 F by morning and we’re expecting more
snow.  Yep,  we need more snow LOL.  I can’t help
but wonder how people survived before there was
fire LOL.  I guess there was a lot of cuddling back
then and a lot of animals losing their fur for the
sake of the humans.  Hey wait a minute,  isn’t that
still going on?  Times change,  but I reckon some
things will remain the same.  Anyways,  Judy and
I are staying warm.  We spend much of our time
in the PC room where we are right now unless we
are in bed LOL,  then of course we’d be in the
bedroom.  Benny and Rocky are always not too
far from us LOL.  Rocky lies down in the floor
right beside me for a while and then he heads to
the other side of the bed to sleep next to Benny
and of course Judy 🙂  There’s still been nothing
done to the add on of our home.  The water from
the leaky roof has frozen on the floor and there
are icicles hanging everywhere LOL.  I’ve bought
a doggy door and it should be delivered in a few
days.  Then we’ll ask one of our relatives to put
it in for us.  The doggy door is going in the door
of the addition so at least we won’t have to go
out in that room and open that door for the boys
when they need to go outside LOL.  Maybe by
springtime Calvin will get all of the repairs to
the add-on done.  We don’t see it happening in
this weather for sure.  I bought a wet/dry vac,
but I’m fairly sure it won’t vacuum up ice LOL.
It’ll have to wait till spring thaw HaHaHa.  Yep,
our house is in a bit of mess,  but hopefully one
day it will all come together.  If we had the money
we’d pay somebody to finish the add on,  but we
don’t,  so we must wait.  At least it doesn’t affect
our house.  It just makes it rather hard going
outside,  being that our back door is frozen shut.
This is life in the northeastern part of Maine :).
It’s not a life for everyone.  I love the snow,  but
the ice I could do without LOL.  Yep,  it’s nothing
but a pain.  But you have deal with good and the
bad.  It’s that way anywhere you go.  There are
the good and bad things to deal with.  So,  here
we are LOL.  There are many good points about
living up here.  Too many for me to name and
that makes dealing with the bad times not so
hard.  Thankfully the boys love snow.  I will
never forget the first day that Rocky saw the
white stuff falling from the sky.  He glanced
out into the field that was slowly but surely
turning white and he and Benny ran out side
by side bumping against one another as they
played like two brothers could ever play LOL.
Of course I’m sure Milo is always in the back
of Benny’s thoughts,  but he truly loves his
little/not so little brother hehehe.  Yeppers
Rocky is an eating machine.  If there is food
he eats while Benny waits for him to finish
and then he eats.  We’ve stopped giving them
treats as often as we had been. Rocky was
a bit over weight,  but he’s about normal now.
He still eats more than Benny LOL.  Benny
gets what’s left.  It doesn’t matter if I put the
food in two separate pans,  which I do,  Benny
will still wait for Rocky to get done eating
and then eat from the same pan.  Then they
move to the next pan LOL.  They’re healthy
little boys and they love to run and play in
the house,  outside,  or wherever they may
be hehehe.  They’re both lying in their beds
in the floor between Judy and I right now 🙂
I’ve done quite a few more picture poems
for volume 2 of Pearce’s Poetry Pictures.
If you haven’t already bought our book,  I
hope you will think about it.  It has over
150 picture poems in it.  I thank God for
this gift of which He gave me.  It always
amazes me how I can come up with so much
in a short time,  but then God works miracles
with anyone and everyone.  Though quite
often they go unnoticed because we have
tried to blend in with society too much.  Be
who that God intended you to be and use the
gifts He gave you.  Be who you are,  not who
somebody else is.  Even when working at
the same job as another,  your gifts might be
of a different shine.  Let the real you shine
and don’t let critics to hurt you.  There will
always be ones that do not like who we are
for one reason or another.  Now I believe it
is time for me to begin my little journey back
through all that I’ve written here to see if I
can find a good word or phrase that I can use
for the title of today’s brand new poem.  So
it’s away I go to that place of my recollection
that I always like to call RECOLLECT VILLE.
I believe I may have stumbled upon a decent
title just a few lines back.  Now let’s see if
I can write anything worth reading using it 🙂
Here goes!!!!!!

Unnoticed

A person,  a portrait,
a life that one leads
might go unnoticed
while they’re planting seeds.
Time is a backyard
to many the same
while ones go unnoticed
at what they attain.
Life is a journey
with footsteps of rhyme
as ones go unnoticed
that step out of time.
Don’t let your footsteps
to lose all their stride
within the unnoticed
that lives deep inside.
Let God to guide you
through timeless array
and don’t be unnoticed
as you smile your way.

There ya go hehehe.  I hope that poem made
at least a little bit of sense to you.  Also I hope
that my rambling did not bore ya to tears LOL.
If it did,  then maybe you needed a good cry 🙂
It’s 8 PM now.  I’ve stopped from time to time
to stretch my legs and see how Judy’s painting
is coming along.  It’s coming along quite nicely,
if I don’t say so myself.  It’s 7 F degrees now.
Yeppers,  it’s getting a bit chilly,  but nothing
like what we have dealt with LOL.  I haven’t
done much picture taking,  being that each time
that we’ve gone to town,  it has been dark or
getting that way being it starts getting  dark
around 3:30 PM 🙂  It’s now 3 F degrees LOL.
It dropped a few degrees while I was in the
bathroom a moment ago hehehe. So,  hmm,
have I forgotten to mention anything?  Nope,
nothing except to once again tell you about
our new book.  I hope you will check it out
and maybe even tell your friends about it.
It’s well worth the money.  Pearce’s Poetry
Pictures is available at Amazon.com,  Barns
and Noble as well as a few other book stores.
You might have to ask for it and if they do
not have it in stock,  they can order it for
you.  The link as at the end of the journal 🙂
OK so now it’s time for me to tell you what
I tell you almost every week and that is,  I
wrote some more poems and haiku.  Yep,
10 more poems but once again with a few
extras.  7 to be precise and 9 of the poems
are Christmas poems 🙂  I also wrote once
again 22 haiku for all of the haiku lovers
out there.  I hope you can find 1 or 2 of either
or both that you like.  Now,  I believe it’s time
for me to begin my search for that hardly
elusive off switch,  but not before I wish you
a most wonderful week.  Remember,  Jesus
loves you and we do too.  OK,  so where are
ya hiding this week ya ornery off switch? 🙂
I think I see you peeking out from behind
my crazy eyes that I bought for Halloween.
Yep,  I see ya. You made the left eye to
jerk about just enough for me to see it LOL.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

P.S  A link to our brand new book
Pearce’s Poetry Pictures
is at the end of the journal along
with all of the others.  Enjoy 🙂
P.S. again.  The first poem is a poem
I wrote for my sister Peggy’s birthday.
It was December 6th 🙂

Now it’s on with the poems and haiku
10+7 and 22 hehehehehehehehehehe 🙂

My Big Sister

Time is remembered
within a photograph
me and my big sister
a moment the past.
We went our own ways
as older we grew,
but we are connected
in old and anew.
Lifestyles so different,
yet still of the same,
for we will both always
have our last name.
No matter with changes
and new names to be
I’ll love my big sister
till death comes for me.
You’re now a bit older
than you were yesterday,
but years don’t matter,
we’re both turning gray.
Remember the moments
we saw all the sights
riding with mom and dad
seeing Christmas lights.
Life has a funny way of
connecting each dot
and you my dear sister
I love you a lot
Those memories always
live deep within me,
for you my big sister
are part of history.

Winter At The Park

It is but a moment
a segment of time
a scene comes alive
in the eyes of mine.
Winter at the park
in a painted array
becomes a memory
of one certain day.
A time sat alone
as the breezes blew,
snowflakes falling
here thereunto.
Winter at the park
is a seasonal thing
as a few birds then
flutter and sing.
Christmas cardinals
winter at the park
sing to me sweetly
songs of a lark.

Peekaboo Snowman

Winter winds display
a snow driven while
with Peekaboo Snowman
and a little snow smile.
Peeking around to see
if a child needs a friend
to play with in the snow
many times and agin.
Peekaboo Snowman
is a Christmastime scene
found after snow falls
as a wintertime theme.
He peeks around corners
seeking ones to play
Christmastime adventures
on a cold snowy day.
Peekaboo Snowman
is a wonderful sight,
Christmastimes blessings
within snow of white.

Santa There

He stood so jolly
waiting true
to give a gift
to me and you.
Santa in the
snow of white
with our presents
such a sight.
The moment came
a photograph
one I took
of futures past.
For old Santa
does not age
as he’s always
Christmas page.
A story told
of children’s tales
timeless passion
Christmas dwells.
He’s a teacher
love and care
a Christmas scene
of Santa there.

He Came Knocking

We heard a knock
upon our door
the midst of day
whom we adore.
Old Santa Claus
in red and white
asked us out
to see the sight.
His reindeer stood
a sight to see
out in the snow
and harness free.
Old Santa asked
to rest a while
as we looked
and gave a smile.
He came inside
and looked around
to find a place
he could sit down.
He laid his bag
upon the floor
right inside
of our front door.
We spent a while
laughing and talking
the time we found
that he came knocking.

A Cold Winter Road

With every snowflake
that falls to the ground
a cold winter road
still leads us to town.
The pavement is icy
as temperatures freeze
displaying stages
of snow on the trees.
A cold winter road
is a seasonal sight
found as a flavor
of Christmas delight.
The sunshine is less
on the wintery days
leaving a night sky
and stars then to gaze.
Yet if it’s cloudy
on wintertime’s mind
there will still be
a wondrous design.
A cold winter road
will unleash such a view
paved within white
as snowflakes accrue.

Tomorrow’s Child

With us as the teachers
and them shadows cast
tomorrow’s child surely
can learn from our past.
Time is but a doorway
to open and view
and see all the lessons
times taught me and you.
Yet many people
will just look away
and not see the lessons
that time’s taught today.
Tomorrow’s child needs us
to help them to find
the best for our future
that is their design.
We are all unique
as our differences show
and children of today
need to learn where to go.
The windows of pathways
might seem a bit wild,
but lessons can help our
tomorrow’s child.

Three Owls

Found in a picture
a time does display
three owls peeking
out at the day.
Within a tree stump
that one owl designed
is home for the others
with family in mind.
Three owls hooting
singing their song
about all that’s right,
for nothing is wrong.
They have each other
as days come to pass
three owls in a stump
with future to cast.
They’re always gazing
at the ground below
watching and waiting
for time to bestow.
A moment for feeding
will come in a while
three owls together
with a unison smile.
The minutes tick on
while searching to see
a sight or a scene
that is given for free.
God gave them eyes
that are better at night
three owls together
a wonderful sight.

Across The Road

A snowy day
displays a view
across the road
of thereunto.
A scene of white
as snowflakes fall
landing on
the trees so tall.
A photograph
of timeless days
is found within
the winters ways.
Across the road
I see a sight
a Christmas scene
in winter’s light.
The fluffy snow
is found so pure
across the road
a scenic tour.
It’ll soon be
a photagraph
across the road
a moment’s past.

Morning’s Arrival

Life is a doorway
to open and close
with every moment
a time’s to disclose.
Morning’s arrival
is that of the sun
often with segments
not yet begun.
Seasons enlighten
the views that we see
as morning’s arrival
becomes history.
Nighttime releases
it’s own starry grasp
displaying portions
of its moonlight past.
Yet some awaiting
are found in denial
of what they have done
with mornings arrival.

Losing Perspective

Time is a problem
when it goes too fast
and what you’re wanting
is just from the past.
Losing perspective
on minutes you’ve got
could lose everything
and leave you with not.
Sometimes a moment
is all that we need
to tell ones of Jesus
while planting a seed.
Then as the turnstile
of ones come and go
the blessings you seeded
will blossom and grow.
Losing perspective
on who that you are
can be disillusioned
as a moonlight star.
Time is a blessing
that God gives each one
sometimes as seconds
up under the sun.
We have no knowledge
of God’s Holy plan
for our own perspective
is seen by a man.
Let yourself blossom
and become reflective
of all God’s tidings
not losing perspective.

A Vision Of White

A time so sublime
as white in my gaze
becomes as the sun’s
own wintery phase.
A vision of white
in a field full of splendor
displays many snowflakes
the sky did surrender.
Seeming as a painting
more whiter than pearls
a time so sublime
as winter unfurls.
A vision of white
as paintings from God
becomes as a page
that we should applaud.
The beauty is painted
each day for us to see
a vision of white
God gave you and me.
It is but a moment
of sunlight’s romance
a vision of white
with wintertime’s dance.

Olaf Dances

This creature of white
he dances around
on the cold frozen ice
with nary a sound.
Olaf is his name
this creature of white
and he loves wintertime,
it’s his season delight.
He dances and slides
on the cold ice of time
that the season displayed
with a wintery mind.
This whitish creature
likes to skate to and fro,
for he was a creature
ones made out of snow.
Olaf the snowman
was a wonderful sight
as he danced on the ice
each day and each night.
You one day may see him
with your winter glances,
for he is the snowman
named Olaf that dances.

The Fireplace

A moment painted
becomes as a scene
fire burning brightly
a fantastic dream.
The fireplace shows
a wonderful time
painted as artwork
with Christmas in mind.
The tree is as magic
it stands on the stage
while the fireplace
tells of the age,
Christmas incarnate
is found so divine
while the fireplace
shows its great design.

A Painted Scene

Painted colors
trees expose
a scene of white
the painter chose.
A painted scene
comes into view
brightest red
and whitish hue.
Shadowed trees
a distant scene
is a painted
Christmas theme.
Many moments
the painter found
are with snow
upon the ground.
For the colors,
painter’s mind
makes the moment
that we find.
A painted scene
of Christmas land
is living through
the painters hand.

December’s Stage

A view within
my sight of times
becomes a riddle
found with rhymes.
A simple story
words of white
December’s stage
of day and night.
Snow that’s billowed
here and there
becomes a portion
with a flair.
A gift from God
a special treat
December’s stage
with snow to eat.
Ice cream churned
from snow of white
becomes a taste
that ones delight.
December’s stage
that time bestows
becomes an essence
when it snows.

Remembering Milo

There was a time
and place we found
that brought to us
a sight and sound.
This dog so sweet
with love to give
came in our lives
at last to live.
He was so furry
and friendly too,
his name was Milo
in love we grew.
I can remember
the way he’d beg
and shake our hand
with his front leg.
He loved to play
with his little bro,
as they’d run
back to and fro.
Him and his brother
were ready to ride
when in the car
they jumped inside.
Yet he got sickly
as cancer set in
making dear Milo’s
life come to end.
He had a smile
filled full of love,
but now he’ gone
to Heaven above.
Remembering Milo
brings us to tears
as we remember
those great years.
Time is a doorway
to all that we know
sights and sounds
remembering Milo.

Haiku
for Dec 10,  2016

The lives that we live
are as shadows in the years
when we grow older.

Life’ simplicity
is a thought pattern away
from anything done.

Temporal balance
is that of a mere moment
that we remember.

Beyond perspective
finds many different views
from other people.

The seasonal rains
bring forth their own energy
to unleash on time.

A shelter is space
that we might feel safe within,
but may not be real.

A rose colored red
is bound by its many vines
connecting to life.

Chapters of a book
often have numbered segments
for some blank pages.

Various moments
become important to us
due to memories.

Moving too quickly
can leave you with some problems
you’re not ready for.

When chasing the wind
you might find it eluding
as it blows on passed.

Tomorrows turnstile
is a gate that might be locked,
so find the right key.

Drifting throughout time
without paying attention
could find you empty.

A glimmer of hope
comes from so many places
that we might not see.

A deep breath of air
can become a toxic breath
if it’s polluted.

Cold snowy winters
leave some footprints in the snow
from their traveled time.

Ones without belief
are often just empty shells
without any hope.

Painted mysteries
can become the art of life
that we imagined.

Sometimes more is less
when involving someone’s greed
for what they’re wanting.

A forest of thought
holds many trees to think with
that are possible.

The length of a chain
does not guaranty security
for it might be weak.

A bottomless pit
holds imaginary depth
that we know not of.
