Fallen To The Ground

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

I’m getting a late start on writing today
due to a bit of depression that came over
me,  but I’m a little better now.  I guess
depression is part of life.  Ups and downs
like a teeter totter LOL.  So onwards with
the journal.  It’s still a bit cold up this way.
Right now at 7 PM it’s 30 F degrees LOL.
We’re expecting more snow beginning late
tonight not ending maybe until tomorrow
night and then a few snow showers through
the week.  Spring???  It don’t feel like it 😉
Our hot water froze again last week and
we ran out of heating oil Thursday night.
The computer room is nice and warm,  but
the rest of the house is a bit chilly hehehe.
We’ve got a couple of portable radiator
heaters that we’re using in here and in our
bedroom,  but the one in the bedroom is
having a hard time keeping the room warm,
being it’s a fairly large room.  No matter,
it should begin warming up a bit in the
next week in April or so.  LOL there is
no guarantee on that,  but that’s what we’re
hoping on.  Of course when the weather
begins to get too warm for me,  I’ll be
wanting winter back LOL.  Anything over
75 F degrees is too warm for me.  I am very
hot natured and have suffered many heat
strokes in my life when I live in Texas.  So
I do better in winter time.  I’m sure our 2
snow dogs will miss the snow when/if it
ever finally melts LOL.  They do love to
romp and play in it.  The driveway could
be completely snowless and these 2 boys
will find the snow to go running around in.
Of course if it’s too deep for them to make
it through it,  they wait until I shovel them
a little trail,  but here lately being that the
snow has had an icy glaze on the top of it,
they have been able to walk on top of it,
but they still fall through time to time 🙂
They’ll hop out and continue on their way.
So,  it seems spring hasn’t fully found its
way up here yet,  but I hear it’s soon to be
here maybe as a stir in the night hehehehe.
It will be nice to be able to take the boys
out for a field trip without the fear of me
falling through the snow and having to
crawl out again.  Judy can’t walk through
it,  so I am looking forwards to her and
I with the boys taking our strolls out in
the field together and taking pictures 🙂
Right now,  Judy is in the kitchen baking
us some peanut butter cookies.  Yummy!
I’m guessing that the oven is keeping her
warm in there.  Yesterday morning I had
one of the top electric burners on simmer
to keep the kitchen warm enough while
I fixed her and I some breakfast hehehe.
LOL sounds like we live in Alaska don’t
it hehehe.  It’s now 27 F degrees at 7:30 PM.
It dropped 3 degrees in 30 minutes LOL.
It shows on my weather program that it’s
supposed to start snowing early Monday
morning around 5 or 6 o’clock,  but we
shall see.  I might get out with the boys
and play with them while it’s snowing,
who knows hehehe.  I do love the snow.
I just don’t care for the slush that comes
afterwards when springtime begins its
season of melting.  Also I don’t care for
the snow much when it gets glazed over
and becomes merely ice that causes many
slips and falls.  My old body has been
fallen to the ground so many times that
it always aches due to broken bones and
bruises.  I have some cleats that attach
to the bottom of my shoes,  but I don’t
wear them always,  being the cleats can
really mess up a floor and car floorboard.
I’m a tough old bird and I’ll survive 🙂
of course with a lot of aches and pains.
So,  what else is going on around this
place?  Hmm,  well,  Judy finished with
the cookies and she’s in here browsing
the internet on her PC.  The boys are
over there pestering her for treats,  but
they have had their treats and they have
dried food in their dog food pans.  So,
if they are that hungry,  they can eat
healthy food.  Treats are not meant to
be eaten as their major diet,  plus they
cost quite a lot and we can’t afford to
give them treats every time they want
them.  There’s not much else to tell you.
The Pearce’s Place is pretty much on a
regular scheduled tour.  Last night we
watched Ghost Adventures and it was
a pretty good episode 🙂  Our home is
still filled with love.  Yes we have our
share of troubles,  but God is always
at work taking care of us.  He allows
what that’s necessary and then holds
His mighty hand up to halt any further.
So,  I reckon it’s time for me to begin
my little journey back through all that
I’ve written here to see if I can find me
a good word or phrase that I can use
for the title for today’s brand new poem.
With that said,  it’s away I go to that
place of my recollection that I always
like to call RECOLLECT VILLE 🙂
And so after looking back through all
of my rambling I think I may have
found a good title about a 3rd of the
way back through my writings.  So now
to see if I can do anything with it LOL.
Here goes nothing,  but I hope not 🙂

Fallen To The Ground

Timeless our struggles
may seem when they’re found
yet there are lessons
when fallen to the ground.
Seasons of follies
with moments mistakes
often bring lessons
from many heartaches.
Seeming as endless
a time frame might be
a seasons on threshold
that you need to see.
Falling to the ground
may be the only way
to show you the lessons
from day unto day.
Yet as a storm cloud
the rains will then cease
as fallen to the ground
gives moments of peace.

There ya go.  I hope the poem made some
sense to ya.  If not,  then,  maybe next week.
I can’t always write something that works 🙂
and there’s no way that I can please everyone
at the same time LOL.  It just cannot be done.
Nope and some people can never be pleased,
because they’re too freaking picky.  Oh well,
I do my best.  So hmm,  I wonder if I’ve got
anything else that I need to tell you other than
the norm hehehe?  Nope,  nothing I can think
of.  So I reckon it’s time for me to be telling
you what I tell you every week and that is,
I wrote some more poems and haiku.  Yep,
10 more poems with an added 6 due to ye
ole picture poems LOL.  Also I once again
wrote 22 haiku for all of the haiku lovers
out there.  Nope,  no Christmas poems this
week hehehe.  I hope you can find 1 or 2 of
either or both that you like.  Now with that
said it’s time for me to begin my search for
that horrible at hiding off switch,  but not
before I wish you a most joyous weekend
or whatever is left of it and truly blessings
filled week.  Remember,  Jesus loves you
and we do too.  Now,  where pray tell is
that dadgum off switch trying to hide this
week and I use the term hide very loosely 🙂
Hmm,  where is that silly thing hiding this
time?  Wow,  getting good 🙂  BUT,  hmm,
I don’t think my camera is supposed to be
rocking back and forth hehehe.  Here,  let
me see what it is.  Well,  hello there LOL.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

P.S  A link to our brand new books

The Weather Clock

Noticed but slightly
a flower bestows
the time of the season
it blossoms and grows.
Tis but a weather clock
of timeless detail,
a momentous journey
the seasons entail.
Maybe just a glimmer
or maybe just a glance
this is the weather clock
that time does enhance.
When as the petals
are blown in the breeze,
this is the weather clock
that floats in life’s seas.
Taking but a moment
to be something more,
the flower falls asleep
just like times before.
This is the weather clock
that shows summers end
and finds in its journey
a flight in the wind.

Motions

Simple rhythms
slightest motions
can be viewed as
words of oceans.
With emotions
counted true,
motions come in
with a view.
So let motions
show your phase
so that ones know
how to gaze.

Hidden Lake

Sweet memories
of autumn days
found in photos
give a gaze.
Wondrous moments
seen so bright
mark the seasons
daily light.
The stage was set
a time to take
with autumn leaves
and hidden lake.
Minutes prospered
come in view
hidden lake
seen thereunto.
The autumn leaves
with colors bright
make the lake then
out of sight.

Lying In Snow

One winter’s evening
I found it just right
to lie down in snow then
that was oh so white.
It felt like a pillow,
it felt like a bed,
the cold snow of winter
where I laid my head.
The snow was melting
and soaking me through
while I was lying
enjoying the view.
While lying in the snow
I found I was froze
soon with my fingers
down to my toes.
Minutes passed quickly
in white snow of winter
while I just laid there
found front and center.
I laid there a while
as time took its toll
and my back was all wet
while lying in snow.

Peace From Within

As a journey inside
our mind can display
mountains and hills
in a wonderful way.
Lying in a hammock
swinging in the breeze
peace from within then
comes with much ease.
Humming a little tune
or just lying in rest
peace from within
can be the very best.
It can help you to find
a moments relief
with peace from within
of Heaven’s belief.
A journey through time
with hopes to ascend,
love from Lord God
gives peace from within.

A Distant View

So faraway
with hills so high
a scene is found
with cloudy sky.
A lake of life
displays a scene
a distant view,
a wondrous dream.
Beyond the trees
where we could see
a distant view
showed wondrously.
A stage was set
with scenery
a moments time
of life to see.
Like a painting
a poetic hue,
time’s displayed
a distant view.

Summer’s Memories

We strode along
the waves of life
hand in hand
I and my wife.
The day displayed
a family
a timeless scene
within the sea.
The oceans waves
would splash about
summer’s memories
without a doubt.
We then walked on
while looking true
at fun in the sun
hazy sky of blue.
Time was counted
within the breeze
the best of times
summer’s memories.

Winter Window

Scenes like glass
with whitish haze
pictured through
a days displays.
A winter window
opens wide
then allowing
looks inside.
Winters portrait
scenic glance
glazed as glass
a moments dance.
Snow is billowed
in the scene
a winter window
light agleam.
Mirrored images
far and wide
scenic gestures
time applied.
This is but a
certain view
winter window
that’s seen through.

Certain Peace

When you see
an unknown door
prepare yourself
to walk the floor.
Contrive a plan
to then begin
beyond the time
of now and then.
A certain peace
can truly breathe
if you firstly
then conceive.
A prayed prayer
before the view,
the steps in time
you daily do.
Seek the blessings
times release
a moments view
a certain peace.

Falling Into Poetry

Lost in a wording
a simple little phrase,
we’re often falling
in a poetic gaze.
Things that we’ve seen
and heard to fulfill,
found as a shadow
a momentous thrill.
Falling into poetry
as an unknown world,
rolling down a hill
with moments unfurled.
Time is a doorway
to poetic words,
flying through the sky
as a flock of wild birds.
Falling into poetry
brings forth a view,
painted with a thought
of old and anew.

Evening’s Sun

When day’s at end
and time is gone
evening’s sun
will carry on.
Through the light
it shines to say
time has brought
the end of day.
Many mornings
look the same
yet by east
with timeless fame.
Evening’s sun
is found to sing
songs of night
for time to bring.
It gives blessings
we can view
evening’s sun
from old to new.

On The Pier

The rocks of life
that come before
can be made
into our shore.
Then to fish
a day away
with Lord God
to kneel and pray.
With the waves
that come on in
on the pier
is free from sin.
For it’s safe
from Satan’s holds
with the love
that God unfolds.
Life is found
with fishing gear
sent from Heaven
on the pier.

The Polar Bear

Natures heat
is changing fast
with the help of
careless task.
Climate change
is now today
with melting ice
soon gone away.
The polar bear
is losing stride
with its home
to be denied.
With the weather
and atmosphere
the polar bear
will disappear.
Give a care
and lift a voice
to give its home
a better choice.
Don’t just act
all unaware,
for we might lose
the polar bear.

Traveled Roads

Like a story
roads unfold
within memoirs
young to old.
Traveled roads
of hours pass
sometimes slowly
sometimes fast.
Within road signs
holds a choice
a certain turn
a certain voice.
Distant hillsides
come in tune
as ones travels,
times cocoon.
Then the magic
comes alive
traveled roads
that many drive.

The Sky’s Alive

Clouds of day
and night appear
painting scenes
each time of year.
The sky’s alive
with many a thing
rain that falls
and birds that sing.
Amidst a moment
time is found
the sky above,
a shadowy ground.
Some birds in fight
might then display
a moments time
in skies of gray.
With their wings
up high and low
they create
a wondrous show.
The sky’s alive
with life to see
a moments time
that’s given free.

Snoopy’s Farm

This dog named Snoopy,
he lives on a farm
and sleeps every day
on his doghouse barn.
He sleeps in the sunshine
and then in the night
while his friend Woodstock
is always in sight.
Snoopy is a pilot,
his doghouse he flies
while on the farm
in imaginary skies.
His little friend Woodstock
will often be found
watching old snoopy
just fly all around.
It’s a fantastic tale
with a little red barn
found then with Woodstock
upon Snoopy’s farm.

Haiku
for Mar 25,  2017

Life is a journey
filled with many illusions
that lead us astray.

Anger of moments
can become doorways to Hell
if they are held in.

New life awaits us
as the old falls to the side
leaving memories.

Beyond what we think
might be truth we don’t believe
which causes anger.

Springtime’s appearance
could be hidden in the snow
awaiting to bloom.

True enlightenment
often comes at the worse times
due to ignorance.

With you’re loss for words
allow your actions to speak,
but make sure they’re good.

Change can be awesome
if it’s a good direction,
but bad if it’s not.

So many regrets
come from acting hastily
as moments explode.

Nearing a turnstile
often creates the jitters,
fear of the unknown.

It takes some courage
to say what you really mean,
but prepare for life.

The leaves on the trees
often speak loudly of spring
and then more at fall.

Looming destruction
can become our only view
if we seek no peace.

Nearing a tunnel
you might only see the hole
and no end in sight.

Closing in on time
the ticking hands of the clock
might make you nervous.

A real large ego
can become as dynamite
to one day explode.

When looking backwards
you might not see what’s coming
and miss something good.

Now is just a place
that minutes are displaying
as fractions of time.

The past leaves shadows
that we’ll often see clearly,
but misunderstand.

Living in bubbles
and not allowing lessons
can be hindering.

Without a flower
we would be staring at stems
with but only thorns.

A castle in life
can’t be taken to Heaven,
for things blow away.
