Certain Things

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

I’m getting a late start on writing this
week being that our grandson Christian
spent the weekend with us and he didn’t
leave till late Sunday evening.  No matter.
I’m fairly sure many of you don’t read
this until maybe late Monday evening 🙂
So it’s off I go into rambles ville hehehe.
Last week was a fairly regular one,  but
it does look as though that springtime
has finally found us.  The high for today
is supposed to be 67 F degrees.  Right
now at 8:23 AM it’s 44 F.  The snow has
been melting, but there is still a lot to go.
Around 9 o’clock last night there was
said to be a small earthquake in central
Maine.  We didn’t feel it.  Judy just said
that 3700 are without power now due to
it.  Thank God that spring has finally put
warmer temps in the air.  At least they
will be OK until the power is back on.
Yep,  we live a pretty uneventful life up
here.  We didn’t feel a thing.  So,  what
else has gone on around this place?  It
snowed a little bit last Tuesday,  but not
enough to really matter.  The ground had
already warmed too much for the snow
to stick to it.  Of course we’ve still got a
lot of snow yet to melt,  but it’s slowly
but surely being melted away.  Another
couple of days like we have had and it’ll
be gone leaving but only mud puddles in
its wake LOL.  Oh yes and of course a
few floods in the lower lying areas.  It’s
a yearly thing up here.  I wish my yearly
allergies would give me a break.  I don’t
have seasonal allergies LOL.  I’ve got
yearly.  They’re all year round.  It seems
my system thinks that anything I breathe
is bad for me and it reacts by putting me
into sneeze mode LOL.  I can be sitting
just enjoying my day and then out of the
blue begin sneezing like a machine-gun.
Then my nose will stop up or decide to
start running LOL.  Hehehe the decision
is up in the air so to say.  I am up earlier
than normal today being I wanted to see
about getting this written and then maybe
going back to bed.  Judy and I are night
owls and we were up till just a few hours
ago.  So both of us are thinking seriously
about heading back to bed LOL.  Neither
of us could sleep well and were up and
down all morning.  So if my journal seems
a little shorter than normal,  that’s why 🙂
I have some sad news.  one of my friends
and classmates from Wills Point passed
away Friday.  Roger Musser was a good
friend.  Him and his whole family were
like family to me.  Me and his brother
Mike had a little rock band back in the
70’s.  Me and Mike spent a lot of time
jamming in his living room as well as at
our house in South Tawakanii.  Roger is
surely going to be missed.  He is already
missed greatly by his family.  I send a
special prayer to his children, siblings and
parents.  You just never know.  So,  now
I guess I need to find something happier
to talk about huh.  Judy and I are doing
well.  We had a great weekend with our
grandson as we always do 🙂  We watched
funny Youtube videos on my computer.
The boys are both lying in their doggy
beds in the floor between Judy and I at
the moment.  LOL,  they’re probably a
little confused as to why we are up so
freaking early hehehe.  They are up with
us all night so you can figure that they
are also very tired.  Well,  there’s not
much else to tell you other than that
God is still watching over us.  I thank
God for His protection.  Although He
does allow certain things to happen as
they are life.  If He were to prevent any
bad stuff from happening,  then we’d
be not so much living,  but just existing.
The ups and downs of life are the things
that make life interesting and fruitful.
Find the blessings and enjoy them.  It’s
with the pitfalls of life that the good
times stand out even more so.  Without
the bad times,  we would just get lax in
our lives without any joy.  I reckon
it’s time for me to be taking my little
trip back through all that I’ve written
here to see if I can find a good word or
phrase that I can use for the title for
today’s brand new poem.  So,  it’s off
I go to that place of my recollection
that I always like to call RECOLLECT
VILLE.  I think I found a decent title
just a little ways back in my rambling.
Now to see if I can do anything with it.
Here goes….

Certain Things

Found on cue
a time might seem
as a torrent
rushing stream.
Yet some moments
need to be
things to hear
and things to see.
Certain things
we say and do
are the lessons
timeless true.
Yet a moment
passes fast
with some things
that never last.
Certain things
are just a time
a life to be
but just a rhyme.
A season found
or day to come
certain things
are then and done.
God allows
some ventured scenes
to be lives
of certain things.

So there ya go,  short and sweet.  Oh yea,
Judy’s sister Barbara had some sadness to
come upon her.  Their dog Takanee died
Sunday.  She was about 3 years old or there
about.  It came quickly.  They are very sad
about that,  but it does happen as we lost
our beloved Milo back in 2015 to cancer.
Life has no guarantee of length of time
so enjoy each breath of air you breathe.
Take the time to see the scenery and smell
the flowers.  The time might come that you
will not be able to enjoy it or to get out
and look at it,  so don’t keep yourself in
a bubble.  But then don’t do stupid stuff
that hurts you or others LOL.  OK,  you
can do stupid stuff,  being sometimes it’s
the stupid stuff that makes us happy LOL.
Just don’t be overly stupid hehehehehehe.
I reckon it’s time for me to be telling you
what I tell you every week and that is,
I wrote some more poetry and haiku 🙂
Yep,  10 more poems with an added 2
and 1 of the poems is a Christmas poem.
So it’s 22 poems in all.  I also wrote 22
more haiku for all of the haiku lovers
out there.  I hope you can find 1 or 2
of either or both that you like.  Now,
I believe it’s time for me to begin my
search for that hardly elusive off switch,
but not before I wish you a most blessed
week.  Remember,  Jesus loves you and
we do too.  Ok now,  where is that silly
off switch attempting to hide?  Hmmm,
I think I see movement fro behind my
PC camera.  Yep,  there ya are,  as usual
just teetering back and forth thinking
that I won’t see ya.  You are silly ya know.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

P.S  A link to our brand new books

P.S. Again   Judy and I have been keeping
tabs on April the giraffe on live feed.  She’s
pregnant and fixing to give birth any day now.
She’s at Animal Adventure Park in New York.
April better not go outside to have that baby.
There’s not a live feed outside LOL.

Now it’s on with the poems and haiku
10+2 and 22 hehehehehehehehehehe 🙂

Yesterdays Fall

Flavored with colors
time is a page
displayed as a book
upon autumn’s stage.
So many yesterdays,
so many colors
painted by Heaven
as one to another.
Seasons of grandeur
are found so alive
on yesterdays fall
with an autumn drive.
Time is a moment
that may seem to pass
with yesterdays fall
a little too fast.
For colors of autumn
are times I recall
driving through country
of yesterdays fall.

A Dragonfly’s Flight

An abstract moment,
a minute to spare
finds but a second
a flight in the air.
A thought came alive
as a scene to see,
a dragonfly’s flight
so wondrous and free.
It might be a painting
or a picture entailed
as a dragonfly’s flight
has magically sailed.
Time has no meaning
to this wonderful sight
the scene now recalled
as a dragonfly’s flight.

Another Winter

Another scene,
another time,
another winter
on my mind.
Snowy moments
time’s displayed
scenic signs
that winter made.
Another second,
another frame,
another winter
gives to gain.
A distant city
across a bridge
another winter
shows a ridge.
Minutes prosper
time to enter
snow of white
another winter.

Painted Mountain

Painted scenes,
timeless hues
become things
the greatest views.
Painted passion
scented phase
painted mountain
scenic days.
With a brushstroke
found design
painted mountain
shows a sign.
Like a fountain
flowing through,
painted mountain
shows a view.
A river’s moment
found so fine,
painted mountain
does unwind.

Bluebonnet River

Sunshine of summer
brings forth an array
a bluebonnet river
as seasons display.
Within a painting
it flows to and fro
a bluebonnet river
with sunshine aglow.
Just like a river
it silently rushes
filled full of flowers
Indian paintbrushes.
The scene’s a painting
in abstract form
a bluebonnet river
a moment that’s born.
Time is surmounted
scenes come alive
painted with passion
to mimic the skies.
Found in the sunlight
seen in the days
a bluebonnet river
with flowers to gaze.

Frozen Pond

From a bridge
we saw a sign
a frozen pond
of wintertime.
It was white
with snow upon
in our gaze
a frozen pond.
Winter’s hold
so wondrously
was held so tight
with waters freeze.
Time displayed
how minutes move
with the sight
of winters groove.
This frozen pond
was held intact
with snow upon
so firmly packed.

Designs In the Clouds

As days move on
and clouds float by
we my see ships
up in the sky.
An ocean voyage
of white with sails
and in your view
there’s great details.
The waves will roll
with peaceful gaze
designs in the clouds
of changing phase.
Our glance might see
a smiling face
someone we know
in Heaven’s grace.
Designs in the clouds
will change their view
as we look on
in a sky of blue.

Tracks Of Life

With every step
of life’s detail
we’re like a train
upon a rail.
Directions laid
into our path
tracks of life
a moments swath.
The living rails
display a view
as a train track
running through.
Steps may lead
a times recourse
tracks of life
with certain force.
The stage is set
that might jackknife
yet still be good
the tracks of life.

Times Of Heart

Links connecting
a time and place
a beating heart
will then embrace.
Scenes within ones
atmosphere
becomes essence
so sincere.
Times of heart
with mere hellos
becomes the stage
a heartbeat grows.
A simple scene
of distant trees
might embellish
memories.
Times of heart
with you and I
can grow beyond
the bluest sky.
As a moment
that we impart
our lives can be
the times of heart.

Christmastime Fantasies

All of those memories
become such a sight
seen in wintertime
each day and night.
White snow glistening
in mornings sun
seems as a dream world
filled full of fun.
Christmastime fantasies
as time moves along
while you are singing
an old Christmas song.
A time in the night
when your sleep is alive
within every memoir
that did so survive.
Lives are replenished
from moments in time
a Christmassy scene
that was yours and mine.
Find all the magic
that brings you a smile
Christmastime fantasies
that wintertime while.

Summer Field

Traipsing through
some summer days
might be found
a field of maize.
A summer field
with hidden paths
and birds flying
shadows cast.
Life is a journey,
a magical time
in a summer field
within your mind.
You can take a trip
in a dream unfurled
and let it grow
to a wondrous world.
Life is a mystery
time to yield
when you take a walk
in a summer field.

Driving Downtown

On a wintery road
a drive to the store
the road was snowy
just like times before.
A wintertime scene
on a cold snowy day
there were some drivers
heading our way.
Ones on a journey
on roads snowy white
driving downtown
in this wintery sight.
Now’s just a moment
a simple memory
thinking of the times
of my wife and me.
We’ve seen so many
roads of the same
driving downtown
when wintertime came.

Haiku
for Apr 6 2017

Now is a doorway
to tomorrows journey
just waiting its turn.

Many that gather
are often single minded
only due to fear.

Without your effort
you might just live in the past
instead of growing.

Illusions of life
come as swells of an ocean
that are just ripples.

Losing arguments
doesn’t make you a loser,
but yet a learner.

Despite our choices
we will often discover
others paths to cross.

Many directions
only end up repeating
as a recording.

The things that we need
are often only our wants
within confusion.

Life of a flower
has a seasonal conquest
that’s yearning to bloom.

Footprints in the snow
might not show their direction,
but the path they lead.

Life is a moment
that comes and goes with seconds
that might seem too long.

Lost in perception
a scene that’s seen too quickly
might not be correct.

Mornings butterflies
display springtime’s arrival
as fluttering life.

Green grass of summer
often has a lot of weeds
that look like flowers.

An oceans own depth
is lost deep within itself
as a mystery.

Shadows that we see
might be but only shadows
and nothing to fear.

Singing Christmas songs
can bring to life your childhood
with thoughts of Santa Claus.

Snow before springtime
melts to give new beginnings
a chance to find life.

Beyond our beliefs
are things we might not believe
due to perspectives.

On the wings of life
there is a journey to find
as the winds will blow.

The rains of summer
deliver puddles of life
that become rivers.

Clouds in a blue sky
can create a wondrous world
that we imagine.
