ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

I hope you had a safe and happy 4th
of July last week.  It was pretty much
the same as usual around here.  I sat
at home while Judy went to her sister’s
house for a cookout.  I wasn’t feeling
up to being around them.  Anyways
the boys went with them,  but it seems
Rocky must of eaten a hot-dog that
made him sick.  We were afraid he was
going to die he got so sick.  He could
not even walk.  Well we took him to
the vet,  and he gave him a shot and a
bunch of medicine for me to give him.
He told us not to give hot dogs to dogs.
He said they would make them sick.
Anyways Judy went to New Hampshire
with her sister’s Saturday and she won’t
be back until this evening or so she says.
We shall see about that LOL.  I’ve been
giving Rocky his medicine morning
and night and he seems to be back to
his old ornery self again.  Yep,  the
medicine worked.  I’m still giving it to
him as the vet instructed.  I want him
to be completely well and his intestines
without any infections.  The poor guy
was in a lot of pain,  but now he’s back
to running around the house playing
with his squeaky toys and Benny LOL.
They both have birthdays coming up
on the 16th.  Actually the 16th of July
is Benny’s birthday and he’ll be 6,  but
being we do not know the actual day of
Rocky’s birthday,  we gave him Benny’s
being we got him (picked him up at the
airport) on Benny’s birthday.  We think
Rocky might be around 3 years old now.
He was Benny’s birthday present hehehe.
What a great birthday present it was 🙂
After him losing his older brother Milo
a week before,  he was needing a little
cheering up and so were we 🙂  He did
the trick.  We still miss Milo as we think
of him often,  but he isn’t in any more
pain now and his spirit is always here
with us watching over us.  I’m sure that
Benny and Rocky can see him and they
run and play with him.  So next topic.
Well,  when Judy returns,  we have plans
to one day in the next week or so take
the boys for a little picture taking drive.
We haven’t yet decided on where or
when we will go,  but have decided for
sure to do it 🙂  It’s something we do
a few times every year.  I’ve been busy
working on volume 5 of our book.  The
picture drives will help me out a lot 🙂
They’ll give me a few new pictures to
write about.  Of course I have in no way
run out of pictures to write about,  but
it will give me a new vision so to say 🙂
Well,  both of the boys are sitting in the
living room waiting for Judy to come
home.  Rocky’s on the futon and Benny
is on his favorite recliner.  They both
come strolling in here time to time to
visit LOL.  Rocky usually strolls in first
and Benny isn’t far behind him hehehe.
This weekend has been rather quiet other
than the boys barking at what they think
is Judy coming home every time someone
passes down the road or a neighbor comes
in or leaves.  Judy left Saturday morning.
I usually will open the door and let them
go outside and look for themselves LOL.
I was supposed to be able to keep the car
as one of her sister’s was going to drive
their car this year,  but it seems that their
alternator went out which left me to ether
say, that is just too bad or toss Judy our
keys and say have fun.  I did the latter,
but I wasn’t happy about it.  I got into
it with Judy’s sister Trudy’s hubby about
what was wrong with their car and lets
just say I do not want to ever see him
again.  He has crossed the line with me
once too often and I am done with him.
So,  this weekend didn’t turn out how we
had planned.  I was going to take the boys
out for a little scenic drive to take a few
pictures and also go to Walmart to buy
a few things we forgot,  but can’t do that
now.  So I am just making do the best
way I know possible.  I’ll go and check
on the boys from time to time if they
don’t make it in here first hehehe.  It’s
not been too bad,  Thank God.  I was
afraid that Rocky was going to still have
trouble with his intestines and I was going
to be cleaning up poop,  but it seems that
he is much better now.  LOL speaking of
the little guy,  I just turned around and
he is sitting in floor right behind me just
a grinning hehehe.  He let me take a few
pictures of him smiling at me 🙂  I stopped
writing for a brief to take the fan outside
and clean it up a bit.  It had collected a
lot of dust and was preventing it from
working as well as it should.  It’s working
great now.  Back to the journal.  Both of
the boys are in here now.  I guess they got
tired of waiting for Judy hehehe.  Benny
just got up and ran out of the room with
Rocky right behind.  I guess he thought he
heard our car.  Personally,  I don’t expect
Judy home till late,  but we shall see.  She
might surprise me hehehe.  God is still
taking good care of us.  We might hit a
few stumbling blocks,  but all in all we
survive and find a few blessings through
the storms.  Thank You God for taking
good care of Rocky.  We are so relieved
to know that his time to leave was not
here yet.  He is his old happy self again.
We love him and Benny as our own kids.
Rocky is back and lying right behind me
again hehehe.  He’s daddy’s boy 🙂  Now
it seems I have run out of rambling for
the moment and so I guess it’s time for
me to be taking my little journey back
through all that I’ve written here to see if
I can find a word or phrase that I can use
for the title for today’s brand new poem.
So,  it’s away I go to that little place of
my recollection that I always like to call
RECOLLECT VILLE.  I think I found a
fairly decent title just a few lines back and
now after checking I see that I have not
used it yet,  so used it shall be.  Here goes.

Tired Of Waiting

Life’s misleading
journey’s made
with some moments
hard to wade.
Often minutes
seem like hours
as each passage
time empowers.
For the moments
take their time
leaving riddles
then to find.
Tired of waiting
then falls through
leaving breathless
me and you.
Yet the seconds
we perceive
might have lessons
found to weave.
We’re often found
anticipating
creating moments
tired of waiting.

I hope you enjoyed the poem and maybe
even understood it hehehe.   If not,  as I’ve
said time and again,  maybe it wasn’t meant
for you and yours is next week 🙂  So many
views can come from 1 poem.  So OK now,
what else is there to tell you that I forgot
to mention before?  Well weather wise,  it’s
not too bad.  Today’s high was 74 F which is
what it is right now at 5:30 PM.  Nope not
too bad.  Tomorrow looks like a near repeat
of today. July is the hottest month up here.
Alrighty then,  it looks like I have filled you
in on all that’s gone on around here.  LOL
of course I’m sure I may have forgotten 1
or 2 things,  but I guess if I did,  it’ll be OK.
So now I believe it’s time for me to be telling
you what I tell you almost every week and
that is,  I wrote some more poems and haiku.
Yeppers,  10 more poems with an added 3.
1 of them is a Christmas poem.  I also wrote
22 more haiku for all of the haiku lovers
out there.  I hope you can find 1 or 2 of
either or both that you like.  I reckon it’s
time for me to begin my search for that
not so elusive off switch,  but not before
I wish you a wonderful weekend or what’s
left of it and truly blessings filled week.
Remember,  Jesus loves you and we do too.
Hmm,  where can that off switch be hiding
this time hehehe or put more to the point
sitting thinking he’s hidden.  LOL I had
to look pretty hard this time.  I thought you
might be using an old spot,  but nope 🙂
I caught a glimpse of you hiding up under
my Jesus hat.  Again,  I would not of seen
you if you would just stay hidden,  but
then in that case,  I would not find you
and this journal would never get sent LOL.
So I guess it all works out for the better.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

Stars And Stripes

Across the sky
is a memory
sights and sounds
for you and me.
Fireworks blazing
speaking of scenes
that eludes many
of what it means.
Stars and stripes
to signify
the lives of time
that live and die.
A scene of truth
and American ways
is of our flag
and way it waves.
Stars and stripes
the American pride
the life we hold
as freedom derived.

Grim

The reaper comes
to take away
when time is done
for young and gray.
There’s no number
no age to choose
the life and times
we win or lose.
For that old Grim
will come to find
the scenes we’ve laid
within our time.
He does not choose
for Heaven or Hell,
for he’s just the Grim
as stories foretell.
So do your best daily
and don’t waste away
while waiting for Grim
to come one day.

Christmas Desires

Some old pictures
bring in view
seasons special
wondrous hue.
Snow so white
as life’s displayed
time has drifted
magic made.
Christmas desires
we have sought
in a photo
life has bought.
Paid with memoirs
journeys found
Christmas desires
sight and sound.
Christmas songs
on the radio
often have the
words of snow.
Life’s a blessing
time acquires
filled with love
Christmas desires.

Beating The Heat

The heat of summer
begins to rise
with that sunshine
in the skies.
A pool with water
or lake nearby
can help you out
when sweats run dry.
Found in a painting
might surely display
beating the heat
in a wonderful way.
Snoopy the dog
just floating with ease
within the summer
and cool pool breeze.
The story is painted
a wonderful view
snoopy in a pool
with water so blue.
He’s just relaxing
his head to his feet
while he is floating
beating the heat.

Flowing Mind

Minds like water
pour like gold
thoughts as rivers
stories told.
A flowing mind
as seasons sway
becomes a scene
a journey’s way.
As life becomes
emotions motion
the waters flow
into the ocean.
Yet the distance
might be long
a flowing mind
just drifts along.
Catching waves
of life’s design
drifting through
a flowing mind.

Mow Them Away

Often the grasses
become some weeds
if we allow them
to plant their seeds.
Time becomes ages
of counted array
ones with a mower
to clear them away.
Then as the minutes
of time move along
the weeds that grew
will soon be gone.
Life is a struggle
with grasses of green
turning to nightmares
discolored dream.
So use the mower
of lessons of time
to mow them away
the weeds that you find.

The Sky Awakens

With waves that roll
and oceans tide
the sky awakens
with eyes opened wide.
The sun is shining
on through the clouds
showing the beauty
a lifetime endows.
The sky awakens
to show its path
a cloudy horizon
of shadows it casts.
Time is a doorway
to scenes to explore
as the sky awakens
to display much more.
This is a moment
a certain perception,
the sky awakens
to show its connection.
Found as a window
that many mistaken
is life at it’s source
as the sky awakens.

A Passing Storm

A seasons life
of now and then
begins its path
of time again.
A time of spring,
summer and fall
a seasons life
can then enthrall.
A passing storm
can make its way
to change the view
to night from day.
The winter winds
of memories
are seasons seen,
a mighty breeze.
One might stand
within the cold
and watch snow fall
as times unfold.
The moment seeks
a time so warm
to make it through
a passing storm.

Ride The Waves

Painted water
waves that roll
finds a picture
then unfold.
One of Snoopy
catching ten
with doggy paws
to do again.
A simple scene
of cartoon days
sees old Snoopy
ride the waves.
Hear the roaring
times that pass
as old Snoopy
rides them fast.
He’s an all star
as he moves
keeping in
the daily grooves.
Yes old Snoopy
rides the waves
like a pro
on doggy days.

Fireworks

The rolling thunder
heard so loud
fireworks roaring
life we’re proud.
Missiles shooting
strike the sky
fireworks gleaming
up so high.
Reasons meanings
bring a show
in the night light
high and low.
Fireworks making
sounds to hear
as remembered
yesteryear.
Independence
the sight displays
as our memoirs
yesterdays.

Pier Of Rocks

One day with waves
upon the shore
a pier of rocks
I did so explore.
As I walked along
that wonderful way
I was admiring
each scenic wave.
One day was seen
a summer’s view
waves that came
from ocean blue.
One day was found
myself and I
seeing my journey
as time went by.
Hearing the ocean
speaking to me
words of a phrase
my eyes could see.
Scenes came alive
as seagulls squawks
found as a blessing
a pier of rocks.

Life Exists

A stage of white
with times aglow
is life within
the fallen snow.
Time’s a doorway
entered through
as life exists
with whitish hue.
The scene’s alive
as times unfold
while life exists
from days of old.
A window view
brings forth a sight
a scenic gaze
of snow of white.
A distant time
just like a mist
is winter’s scenes
as life exists.

Upon The Rocks

Beyond a smile
might be a frown
a life that’s surely
going down.
Upon the rocks
of misery
a time of which
you cannot see.
A smile might hide
a frown inside
from life of times
that’s lived and died.
Don’t be misled
by a tarnished grin
one that might
have frowns within.
For there’s so many
upon the rocks
that only show
a smile that’s lost.

Haiku
for July 8,  2017

Before and after
are what we remember best
as now fades away.

While life shows roses
there are thorns yet to be found
that might leave their mark.

The latest stories
of the present interactions
might hold many lies.

Lost in a moment
time might seem to fade away,
but it still exists.

Dandelion fields
bring forth colors of sunshine
to enhance the day.

Without a turnstile
we would never move forward
and become ourselves.

Allowing someone
to control you through anger
can one day explode.

When life throws curve balls
be prepared to miss a few
and accept failure.

The heart that beats true
will surely find its echo
as time goes its way.

Living in past tense
will prevent any future
that is good to see.

Belief of spirits
allows growth from within you
to see passed your sight.

Yearning for something
can become as a burden
that keeps you in want.

Flowers of nature
bring beauty and nourishment
to life thereabouts.

Things that are hidden
might hold many mysteries
that we need to live.

The leaves of the trees
change their face through the seasons
and tell their stories.

Sometimes might seen long,
but be just a mere moment
that we’re focused on.

Without any past
we have nothing to learn from
so pay attention.

Showers of raindrops
bring pleasure and often pain
due to the moments.

Tomorrows journey
begins with our steps today
as we will prepare.

Lost in perception
many fail to see the truth
within someone’s words.

Shouting out loudly
does not make someone listen,
for they’ve closed their ears.

The length of a step
is the focal point of life
that some never see.
