ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

It’s been cooling down with each passing
day and I love it.  I’m planning on having
a little cook out today,  making Judy and
I hamburgers and hot dogs.  We brought
in all of our flowers due to this morning
and next morning being in the mid to low
30’s.  Judy bought some shelves so that
we could put the plants in the spare room
in front of the window so they can get a
little sunlight.  They’ll at least get some
morning sunshine.  It’s better than none
or leaving them out to freeze 🙂  Right
now at 1:30 PM it’s 60 degrees.  That’s
the high for today.  Of course you must
know that I mean Fahrenheit hehehe 🙂
Yep,  the weather is a whole lot different
than down Texas ways.  Judy is in the
kitchen right now trying to unclog the
sink.  Pouring unclog stuff it.  I can’t
remember the name of it.  I went in to
check on her a bit ago and it looks like
the stuff worked.  I’ll fix us breakfast
when she’s done washing dishes.  We
take turns doing chores around here.
That’s the way it should be when both
are retired LOL.  Of course there are
times that one or both of us are not
up to par and the other has to try to
do what we can.  That’s life and that
is love.  My daughter Jamye sent me
a message the other day.  She wants
to come up for Christmas,  but she’s
at the moment struggling to find the
finances to do so.  I hope she is able.
Judy and I would help out if we were
able,  but we are strapped for cash as
is.  Jamye said she needs to come up
with 700 dollars for the trip.  All we
can do is pray.  It would be great to
see her again and spend Christmas
with her.  I’m sad though that her
daughter (our granddaughter) will
be with her daddy (Jamye’s ex) for
Christmas.  Anyways,  I hope Jamye
can make it up.  Now,  next topic 🙂
I fixed Judy and I Eggos and sausage
for brunch.  She just asked me  if I
would carry the lawnmower outside
so she could mow a bit.  I put the
battery in it as well as the weed eater
and carried them both outside.  I
told her I would come out and help
when  I’m done with this.  We love
our new lawnmower.  It mows and
mulches and all in one shot without
a bag to mess with.  It came with a
bag attachment,  but we prefer the
other attachment that I bought that
pushes the mower grass down to be
mulched to where you can just keep
on mowing.  We’re set for summer
and winter as we also have our snow
blower and snow shovel that operate
using the same 40 volt ION battery.
We’ve got 2 batteries and 2 chargers,
so we’re good to go.  Back when we
first moved up here,  Judy was still
working and I was having to get up
at 4 AM during the winter months
and shovel snow from the car and
make a path.  On top of that it was
often below zero LOL.  Now with
our battery powered snow blower
and snow shovel,  it wouldn’t be that
bad.  No matter,  now with us both
retired,  I just go and blow the snow
when we need to go some where 🙂
like the store or to the doctor,  but
I don’t dare let it sit for too long,
or the snow with become packed
with a hard outer shell making it
difficult to blow.  Oh well,  if that
happens,  our battery powered snow
shovel digs right through it hehehe.
Anyways,  I just thought you would
like to know how we survive up here.
Judy’s behind me relaxing drinking
some coffee.  Both of the boys are
lying in their doggy beds between
Judy and I.  Tomorrow I’m going
to have my Shingles vaccination.
It should lessen the chances of me
getting them again.  Judy got her
a prescription from her doctor to
get the vaccination and she might
do that sometime this week as well.
She might get it the same time that
I do at the pharmacist.  No matter,
she’ll get it done.  She saw what
kind of pain I went through and
she decided she didn’t want to go
through that LOL.  At first she had
thought I was having an aneurysm.
Thank God it wasn’t 🙂  So,  what
else is there to tell ya?   Oh yea,
Judy went to the Dentist Wednesday
after a nurse had told her that her
molars were in bad shape and they
were the cause of the swelling and
pain on the left side of her face,
but the dentist said that one of her
teeth had a rough place on it that
caused a canker soar and he just
ground off the rough spot.  He said
though that part of her problem
could be that she has a impacted
wisdom tooth and if the swelling
doesn’t cease,  she may have to
have it cut out.  But it seems that
with him grinding that one tooth
it did the trick.  Judy’s not hurting
anymore and the canker sore is no
more.  So,  it looks like God is still
looking out for us.  Thank You
God for all that You do for us and
all that You will do.  We are most
surely blessed.  Now to begin my
search back through all that I’ve
written here to see if I can find a
good word or phrase that I can use
for the title for today’s brand new
poem.  So it’s away I go that little
place of my recollection  that I
always like to call RECOLLECT
VILLE.  I think I may have found
a decent title just a few lines back
and now after checking,  I see that
I’ve not used that formation of
the word before,  so here goes…

Grinding

Life’s a pattern
many view
grinding gears to
thereunto,
Like a doorway
time might be
like a grinding
a sight to see.
Many worries
might portray
grinding finding
a dismal day.
With a heartbreak
time moves on
grinding lessons
short and long.
Some might be
but memories
grinding finding
raging seas,
but some memories
might become
grinding scenes
to a brighter sun.

I hope you liked the poem and maybe
even my rambling.  I’m gonna try and
finish this as quick I am able so I can
go out and help Judy.  She just now
went out to start mowing 🙂  I think the
boys went outside with her.  They’re
OK.  Our lawnmower doesn’t throw
any grass.   Yep,  I hear the mower 🙂
I guess that’s about all there is to tell
ya except for what I tell you every week
and that is,  I wrote some poems and
haiku.  Yep,  10 more poems,  no extras
and no Christmas related once again.
I also wrote 22 more haiku for all of
the haiku lovers out there.  I hope you
can find 1 or 2 of either or both that
you like.  Now I do believe it’s time
for me to begin my search for that
hardly elusive off switch,  but not
before I wish you a safe and blissful
weekend or whatever’s left of it and
a blessings filled week.  Remember,
Jesus loves you and we do too. OK,
so where is that ornery off switch
trying to hide this time?  Hmmmm,
LOL,  my little Animal figurine has
moved a tad from where it has been
for a long while and the more I look
at it,  I see that it has begun moving.
Yep,  ya still can’t remain still can ya,
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky

As A Stream

Timeless waters
can unfold
showing journeys
young and old.
As a stream
that pours desires
hopeful gives
what never tires.
Like a river
streams may go
showing passage
in their flow.
Life is weathered
over time
some may slip
with fall to find.
As perception
is made clear
we might see
our yesteryear.
Then by sight
we’ll understand
how a stream can
help us stand.
For with struggles
streams provide
we grow stronger
through the ride.
Flourishing ways
to become seen
living lifestyles
as a stream.

The Dragonfly

Spring to summer
as colors bloom
the dragonfly
seeks to attune.
It flutters here
and flutters there
as it displays
wondrous flair.
Displaying talents
of fluttering style
showing presence
its little smile.
Often its pathway
is found to be
the smallest sight
for ones to see.
Being well hidden
amongst a leaf,
but not for long,
for staying is brief.
Spring to summer
it flutters away,
but into autumn
continues to play.
Yet as the coldness
of winter appears
the dragonfly seeks
time it endears.
Seeking when winter
bids its goodbye,
this is the life
of the dragonfly.

A Moment Remembered

Memories awaken
in pictures that I view
seasons of a portal
that once was anew.
Yet as flashing minutes
the time disappeared
leaving in a turnstile
what I so endeared.
A moment then of love
that lives in my heart
a time so wonderful,
a magical work of art.
A moment remembered
as seasons passed by
leaving me in sadness
that makes me to cry.
We all may encompass
that similar feeling
time within a threshold
that’s not so appealing.
We need to let them go
but hold to the thoughts
that love did provide
which needs not be lost.
A moment remembered
can help you one day
recalling the good times
that were not so gray.

Beauty In Disguise

Clouds may form
within your view
and turn to orange
a wondrous hue,
but yet the skies
might hold a place
a time to find
a warm embrace.
It may be hidden
for another scene
within the beauty
just like a dream.
For now you see
but only orange
a time and place
to be reborn.
As sky gives life
within a view
it hides in orange
of a sky of blue.
We may perceive
a scented style
pouring flavors
times compile.
A sky of color
might proclaim
the time has come
for pouring rain.
But yet the sight
up in the skies
might be beauty
in disguise.

Stones May Form

Some rocks might be
of a smaller size
of which we kick
when not so wise,
A pebble that’s found
might seem so small
compared to life
that others appall,
but then that rock
might be so stout
it hurts when kicked
to make you shout.
For as it’s compared
to all that’s around
it might look small,
but then astound.
So don’t allow times
that stones may form
to become the hate
an eventful storm.
Find the meanings
within the sight
that may look wrong,
but then be right.
The sights you see
that cause you pain,
might be lessons
and not so insane.
So in midst of life
with a smaller view
stones may form
to enlighten you.

Autumn’s Colors

Driving through time
on an old country road
presents then a style
of a timeless abode.
It seems to go onwards
as miles gather way
with autumn’s colors
of a glorious day.
Scented with pleasures
that eyesight perceives
the colors of beauty
within autumn’s leaves.
They create textures
combined with a sight
that displays moments
that shine in sunlight.
This is just a morsel
of falls tasty treat
seeming so heavenly
with more to accrete.
So many memories
a moment bestows
become our reflections
as found in photos.
Life begins counting
and arranging displays
for ones to uncover
in so many ways
Seen as our heartbeats
times like no others
is what I remember of
autumn’s colors.

Within A Crowd

Lost in perspective
we might not fit in,
but yet look the same
beginning to end.
Time may encompass
our visual sight
with ones not knowing
what’s wrong or right.
The years might pass
leaving many to think
they know you surely,
but it’s just but a wink.
Thinking you’re the same
as times long ago
and not ever realizing
it was all just a show.
We might be flowers
of a journey’s mind
seen for a moment
as just but a rhyme.
Echoing the likenesses
of each you were with,
but it’s only phases
that time did desist.
We are uniqueness
that many never know,
due to their vision
being a little too slow.
Not catching on to
what all you’re endowed
and only seeing flowers
found within a crowd.

Behind Our View

Beach side sands
of an ocean shore
gives many things
ones can explore.
God given days
that times prevail
can become faint
with a slight detail.
So many blessings
of evenings embrace
become as a portion
of life’s smiling face.
An ocean of mind
in scenes by the way
can change its view
from night to day.
When looking ahead
you might not see
the ocean behind
that others perceive.
A gray sky above
may surely proclaim
the existence of God
and His holy name.
Sandcastles built
in this sandy shore
might be right near
a ship and an oar.
It might be a dream
of a sea of blue
that we reminisce
on behind our view.

Tomorrows Days

Fields of emotion
become such a sight
hills in the distance
amidst the daylight.
Life can become
a page from a book
awaiting our eyes
to have a quick look.
Time might pass by
and become shadows
in tomorrows days
the way that it flows.
Look for the sights
that lifetimes display
scented with beauty
in a wondrous array.
For when with hurry
times pass us by
and then tomorrows
may find us to cry.
Sorrow may fill us
as we notice things
the tomorrows of life
and magical scenes.
Then we are wishing
a return for a chance
in yesterdays life
for tomorrow’s glance.
For the hills we see
in wonderful ways
can be the joy
in tomorrows days.

Times Proclaim

The dusty miles
in scenes we see
become the past
in our history.
We might view
the days ahead
as times we find
so much to dread.
With a dusty mile
that times proclaim
which journeys on
with given name,
it might be called
a scenic quest
what all we found
in more or less,
but then it might
be sad to view
all that’s found
in things we do.
Yet the moments
can become
the future seen
of a brighter sun.
Gleaming signs
of brand new days
losing sight
of olden ways.
Allowing wheels
to just roll on
and leave the worst
as then and gone.
For as the times
begin their life
they might end
the passing strife.
Focusing on
a picture frame
might show smiles
that times proclaim.

Haiku
for Sept 7,  2018

Ticking of seconds
is often all we’re hearing
as the minutes pass.

Within illusions
you might discover a path
that can become real.

Changes in people
are often not clearly seen
until it’s to late.

The life of a tree
is shown by many struggles
displayed in its limbs.

Looking to the sky
you might still not see what’s there
due to narrow sight.

Searching within time
you might discover the flaws
that hurry unleashed.

Lost in confusion
ones will often continue
hoping to get out.

Looking down a hole
you might see your reflection
looking back in time.

Doorways to lifetimes
often hold many pathways
for us to travel.

When remembering
our thoughts might be clouded
by essence of time.

A rose of today
might be just a memory
in your tomorrows.

Nothing stays the same,
for as a cloud builds it views,
so do we each one.

The lessons of rocks
are as boulders that have chipped
to become many.

Living in the past
could present many problems
such as existing.

Phases of the moon
are as life cycles we see
that embellish us.

Without our struggles
we would be without lessons
to make us wiser.

Reading dictionaries
will only teach you meanings
and not how they feel.

The sun in summer
brings forth many perceptions
that are good and bad.

Windows of our minds
can become very clouded
as life moves along.

Cherishing items
such as money, cars and stuff
can corrupt your life.

The sight of a star
that so many wish upon
might be a planet.

Focusing on love
and how to make ones love you,
might drive you crazy.
