Through The Woods

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

I hope your year has begun on a good
note.  Ours has been fairly well so far 🙂
It’s 30 F degrees right now and snowing.
Yep,  winter finally caught up with us 🙂
We are so very happy that we have no
place to be in the next few days,  but it
looks as though Judy will be going down
to Bangor with her sister Barbara on the
13th Thursday.  I hope the roads are good
then.  Right now the snow plow is driving
back and forth down the county road in
front of our house :).  They are real good
about keeping the roads drivable.  LOL
they get plenty of practice I’m sure of it.
It gets dark so early that I’ve barely any
time to take pictures.  I went outside and
took a few of around our house Friday,
but other than the pictures I took last
Monday when we went to town to pay a
few bills and buy some groceries,  that is
all the pictures I got and it was getting
dark then.  So many of the pictures are
a bit blurry,  but they’ll do LOL.  It’s not
like I am gonna frame them or anything.
Anyways,  I am often able to fix a few of
the not so great pictures and use them for
poetry pictures.  It keeps my creative mind
at work making something out of nearly
nothing 🙂  Yep,  it keeps me busy and I do
enjoy creating all the poetry pictures.  If it
weren’t for doing that,  I would more than
likely die of boredom hehehe.  I’m happy
that the snow has finally arrived,  being
I love to go outside with our boys/dogs
and play with them tossing snowballs for
them to try to catch LOL.  They will try
to catch them,  but when they break apart
they look confused hehehe.  Tomorrow
isn’t supposed to be too bad so I might
even take my conga drums outside to do
a couple of music videos.  If I do not do
it then,  I might do it some other day this
week.  It depends on when I feel up to it,
but I definitely will not do it Tuesday 🙂
because the high for Tuesday is supposed
to be -1 F and that’s just a bit too cold to
take my conga drums outside with their
hide drums heads LOL.  Monday night
I will surely have to let the hot water to
dribble on into Tuesday,  for otherwise
the pipes will freeze.  Fun times in Maine.
It has snowed most of the day and is still
snowing a slight bit,  but according to my
weather program it should stop near 7 PM.
Yep,  fun times.  Our outside solar lights
aren’t getting much sunshine today so
they will be weak tonight LOL.  Monday
there should be some sunshine which will
charge the lights.  Wintertime is hard on
those outdoor lights,  but somehow,  they
survive.  I can imagine that the boys will
make for quick potty breaks tomorrow
night, Tuesday and Tuesday night cause
it’s gonna be cccccold.  It can’t be helped.
Of course we will have many more days
and nights with subzero temps.  It’s a
normal thing for up here.  Thankfully the
boys can come in the doggy door of the
porch and wait for us to let them in the
house.  It’s never long.  I set up a mirror
on the porch that can be seen from the
kitchen window that’s rounded so we can
see when the boys come in the doggy
door.  The lights outside come on so the
boys can see,  because out here we have
no street lights.  I do enjoy the peace
and quiet as well as the privacy.  Our
neighbors are far enough away that we
cannot hear them unless they are out in
back mowing or something hehehe.  We
love living in the country.  I think I fell
in love with country living back when
my mom and dad moved us from Dallas
down to South Tawakoni 10 miles out
of town.  At first I hated it,  but I soon
fell in love with it.  I used to go for walks
through the woods,  but the best of it
all was me and my pawpaw fishing the
nights away during the summers and
weekends as well as many other things.
To be young again,  knowing a little of
what I know now would be the greatest.
I’d try not to make the same mistakes
that I made that led me down a dismal
pathway in life.  Although I know that
if I changed anything,  it would change
who I am today and I feel that I am not
all that bad for all of the problems that
I had in my past.  They actually made
me stronger,  but still I would of liked
to of been able to spend time with my
Pawpaw and Grandmother as well as
my mom and dad.  Sadly,  me and my
sister were never very close.  I wish to
God that we had spent time together
as many siblings do,  but it just didn’t
happen.  I love her none the less and
would be thrilled to see her again one
day.  Anyways,  I know that God has
always had His mighty hands guiding
me and protecting me as well as the
many angels that He has sent to help
me in my times of need.  He has also
allowed many kindly spirits to be with
me and now Judy and I as we walk the
paths of life.  Thank You God for never
giving up on me and helping Judy and
I to find the right roads in life to guide
us on our travels.  Now I believe it is
time for me to be reading back over all
that I’ve written here to see if I can find
me a good word or phrase that I can use
for the title for today’s brand new poem.
So,  it’s away I go to that little place of
my recollection that I always like to call
RECOLLECT VILLE.  I think I might
of found me a decent title just about a
third the way back in my rambling and
now after checking I see that it has not
been used as of yet,  so used it shall be.
Here goes…

Through The Woods

Journeys in life
might form a tree
branches becoming
what’s you and me.
Within our travels
we might discover
the pages of ages
unlike no other.
We might even find
a time back then
that holds the sight
of a persons grin.
Remember so well
as seasons may show
through the woods
what we now know.
Lessons of moments
and lessons of trials
created the pathways
as a future of miles.
Scenes enlightened
that help you along
of now and again
in a similar song.
Sung as reflections
of yesterdays goods
life is a journey
through the woods.

Well there ya go.  I hope you liked the
poem and maybe even a little bit of my
rambling.  Hopefully I gave ya a smile.
I know,  I might of bored a few of you
with my reflections of the past.  But I
am sure that we all do it time to time.
I think I have told you all there is to
tell other than,  what I tell you every
week and that is,  I wrote some more
poems and haiku.  Yeppers,  10 more
poems and 22 more haiku for all of
the haiku lovers out there.  I hope you
can find 1 or 2 of either or both that
you like.  Now,  I do believe it is time
for me to be searching for that hardly
elusive off switch,  but yet not before
I wish you a most wonderful blessings
filled week.  Remember,  Jesus loves
you and we do too.  Okey dokey,  so
where can that ornery off switch be
trying to hide this time???????????
Hmm,  I think I see something that
doesn’t look as it should.  My K2 meter
is going on and off and it shouldn’t be.
LOL would you quit using the on and
off button as a trampoline LOL.  Will
you ever learn to behave while hiding?
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

Snowflake Drive

Seconds passing
become a sight
within winter
a road of white.
Stories written
form a scene
snowflake drive
a living dream.
Seconds create
a season’s show
timeless pictures
white as snow.
We might dream
of now and then
snowflake drive
in winter’s wind.
It might become
a wondrous way
of open windows
times soufflé.
I dish of winter
that’s so alive
found upon a
snowflake drive.

Gentle Minds

A seascape sight
becomes a song
sung in sunlight
as time rolls along.
Waves of emotion
gentle and pure
create the mindset
of seasons allure.
Singing so softly
songs for the days
lovingly moments
to hear and gaze.
Becoming photos
of a camera’s view
minds within times
of old and anew.
A day of shadows
in scenic memories
become so gentle
as an ocean breeze.
Seen as driftwood
reflections of times
may live in a photo
as gentle minds.

Parked in Place

Travels of life
we might not see
for they’re hidden
from you and me.
Just like a train
of traveled time
some might be
a parked design.
Leaving scenes
to become a view
parked in place
a moment or two.
Just like echoes
of a passing wind
we might only
become a trend.
Allowing minutes
to form a time
places and faces
within our mind.
Trains of thought
can create scenes
found within time
as many things.
A certain path
that we embrace
might be but only
parked in place.

Peaceful Horizons

Now might become
a worrisome day
if we allow things
to get in our way.
Look for the scenes
that God gives you
peaceful horizons
from a sky of blue.
You might discover
new days to dawn
within the troubles
as a magical song.
Sung as a dreamer
a song so sweet
of times horizons
moments to meet.
Find your blessings
in a prayerful way
a better perspective
than a passing day.
It may surprise you
and shine bright
a moment in time
from day to night.
Look for the peace
in a passing gaze
and find blessings
wonderful ways.
Lose your doubtful
and find a prayer
peaceful horizons
as a breath of air.

Suddenly Seen

Time’s illustrations
can often become
so suddenly seen
as a seasonal sun.
Found as a time
in a photograph
seen as a moment
as times epitaph.
With inscriptions
in life’s memory
reflections of then
are time’s history.
Remembering life
as portions of you
so suddenly seen
from old to anew.
Seasons become
a slight reflection
within our view of
times connection.
Found as a place
hearts all agleam
things remembered
so suddenly seen.

Ghostly Perceptions

So often we might
tremble with fear
from the hauntings
that seem so clear.
They may be scenes
connecting views
ghostly perceptions
that times infuse.
There may be life
a real scary place
of the unknown
as a reflected face.
Find the blessings
within the walls
of now and again
in life’s pitfalls.
There may be times
that truly scare you
ghostly perceptions
that aren’t so true.
They have prayer
attached to them
prayed for one day
when out on a limb.
So look for peace
within connections
through a picture’s
ghostly perceptions.

Wall of Stone

Where and when
now and there
a wall of stone
might be of air.
It might hold a
thought or two
as passing days
of thereunto.
A wall of stone
with grass upon
might be signs
of on beyond.
Holding times
as living dreams
a wall of stone
is many things.
It might just be
a timeless tone
as works of art
a wall of stone.

Traveling Skies

Roads of journeys
in wintertime’s view
may oh so often
display times anew.
The newest of sights
with scenic arrays
as traveling skies
in magical ways.
Formed as lifetimes
become so alive
seasons of scenes
that then so arrive.
Becoming artwork
that times transcend
often as a moment
of a gentle wind.
Then as a breath
of winter is blown
the traveling skies
seem to be sewn.
Textures of patterns
in a dreamers eyes
time becomes alive
in traveling skies.

Yesterday’s Sights

Many of the times
we remember well
might be moments
as a story to tell.
Told as a painting
or a photograph
yesterday’s sights
that came to pass.
We might perceive
a moment or two
as that of artwork
that is me and you.
So many seconds
ticked on and on
becoming shadows
of a distant dawn.
Seeming as faded
the time slips away
becoming memoirs
of a written array.
Heartbeats of life
so softly alights
creating dreams of
yesterday’s sights.

Railway of Love

Venturing heartbeats
can find connections
within the railway
of Godly directions.
He can make better
the venture of life
and make it blossom
a husband or wife.
Time is as leaves
that seasons own
bringing us changes
we’ve never known.
Maybe of a railway
tracks found in place
as love and emotion
for us to embrace.
Let God guide you
to a better phase
on a railway of love
within future days.
Look for the beauty
from way up above
Heavenly blessings
on a railway of love.

Haiku
for Jan 8,  2022

Recommended times
are not always good for us
as ones don’t know us.

The truth is a path
that needs much more than our words,
but of our actions.

Time’s a funny thing
that changes it’s perception
in our points of view.

Lines that we’re drawing
might prevent any growing,
for we do not move.

Windows of pathways
can often become clouded
and hide many things.

Living in a rush
can become a heart attack
waiting to happen.

Patient momentum
will give a peaceful outcome
as the minutes pass.

Seasons of sunshine
will change as artists at work
displaying paintings.

Now is a moment
that will one day fade from view
leaving memories.

Leftover heartache
can make it hard to find love,
so learn to forgive.

The leaves of autumn
remember the leaves of spring
but with some color.

Things that we dream of
might become reality
if they’re meant to be.

Love is a flower
that blooms if it’s fertilized
and taken care of.

Change can surprise us
becoming living regrets
or much better sights.

Each tree of moments
grows at its own ratio
and its own time frame.

Looking out in space
you might discover some stars
that seem to have eyes.

Cherishing money
can create relationships
not worth anything.

Winter winds will blow
creating rides for snowflakes
to stream in the breeze.

Yesterdays lifestyles
can become today’s mistakes
if we continue.

Choices that we choose
can weigh heavily on time
as life ticks away.

Flavors of our dreams
can become sour apples
if we make them real.

Roadways of hopeful
are often colluded with pain
that we do not see.
