ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

It’s been a fairly decent passed week.  I am
feeling much better now with maybe just a
touch of pneumonia lingering,  but for the
most part I am feeling a lot better.  Judy is
feeling much better too as her ear infection
has healed and the cough is gone.  So,  life
continues on at the Pearce’s Place.  We had
a lil visit from our neighbor yesterday.  He
brought us some food.  He is now outside
putting his underpinning on.  He takes it
off for the summer to allow for a breeze to
flow under their house to help cool it off.
We leave ours up all year round,  being it’s
too much trouble to take it off and put it
back on and I’m not in as good of health
as our neighbor and he’s older than me 🙂
Anyways,  we’re ready for winter,  but he
has a ways to go to be ready.  I would get
out and try to help him,  but I would more
than likely just get in the way being that
I don’t know that much on underpinning
and it took me a while to figure out how to
fix ours LOL,  but I got it done.  So,  what
else is going on around this place of ours?
Well,  Judy’s playing Candy Crush taking
a break from crocheting and of course I’m
back to my writing norm.  Nothing much
has gone on around here this passed week.
We have been doing our shopping after
the sun had already begun to drop,  so I
did not get any new pictures,  so I might
share a few of the pictures from the past
in my stationery.  The weather has not
been too bad.  We’ve had a few nights in
the 20’s,  but more in the 30’s and 40’s so
I only had to run the hot water at a drip
to keep it from freezing a couple of nights.
It’s 62 F degrees right now at 5 PM and
the low is supposed to be 36 F tonight 🙂
Monday’s high is supposed to be 59 and
the same for Tuesday and Wednesday.
It could change as we all know hehehe 🙂
Well Halloween is tomorrow and now is
Halloween Eve.  I doubt seriously that
we’ll get any trick or treaters LOL.  We
never do.  When you live in the boonies
there is not much chance of having any
kids to come knocking on our door. We
used to have neighbors with kids years
ago,  but they never came to our house
trick or treating.  I guess they thought
that Santa would not be into Halloween.
LOL,  yep,  they thought I was dear old
Santa Clause 🙂 HoHoHo.  Anyways, we
have in the past stocked up on candy just
in case we had trick or treaters,  but we
ended up eating the candy ourselves as
we had no trick or treaters hehehehehe.
I am searching for the first snowflakes
to fall from the sky,  but it looks like
I have still a few weeks to wait,  but as
we all know,  that can change at the
drop of a hat or snowflake as it might
be LOL.  Yep,  the weather has a way
of confusing the weatherman,  but then
we know that they are mostly guessing
don’t we,  being forecast means reckon
or foretell.  So,  I usually go on what I
see out the window or the way my body
is reacting.  My old body is often pretty
accurate on the weather hehehe.  Joints
tend to speak volumes with the weather
changes LOL.  I think Rocky is ready
for the snow.  He hates it when it rains
and will hold off going out to go potty
as long as he can LOL.  The snow does
not slow him down,  but there are times
that I will have to snow blow a trail for
him,  I don’t mind doing that 🙂  Rocky
also hates it when the grass gets a little
high and so I have to go and mow,  even
if the grass is only a couple of inches high.
So,  this is the world we live in and it gets
a little weird from time to time,  but we
survive.  God is always watching over us
as well as many angels and kindly spirits
that God has sent to give us a hand when
we’re in need.  We are very thankful for
all that You have done for us Lord and
we praise Your name.  Thank You for
never leaving us in the dust to wither.
Please keep watch over all our family
and friends as well as many that we’ve
no knowledge of.  AMEN and AMEN.
Now I do believe it’s time for me to be
reading back over all that I’ve written
here to see if I can find me a good word
or phrase that I can use for the title for
today’s brand new poem.  So it’s away
I go to that lil place of my recollection
that I always like to call RECOLLECT
VILLE.  I think I found a fairly decent
title near the halfway of mark of my
rambling and now after checking I see
that it has not been used yet,  so used
it shall be.  Here goes…

They Thought

A brief design
within a while
might portray
someone’s smile.
It might even
show us a sign
of a yesterday
a different time.
So many change
shoes they wear
and within them
a breath of air.
Many think that
they thought true
what they saw
that lived in you.
Yet the changes
within the years
might not show
what now adheres.
For the yesterdays
some knew a lot
may have changed
what they thought.

I hope you liked the poem.  I know it
might not make any sense to many of
you,  but hopefully some will get it 🙂
Anyways,  I guess I have told you all
there is to tell other than of course
what I tell you nearly every week and
that is,  I wrote some more poems and
haiku.  Yeppers,  10 more poems with 1
Christmas poem and 2 Halloween poems
in the mix.  I also wrote 22 more haiku
for all of the haiku lovers out there.  I
hope you can find 1 or 2 of either or
both that you like.  Now I do believe
it’s time for me to start my search for
that hardly elusive off switch,  but not
before I wish you a Happy Halloween
and a blessings filled week.  Remember,
Jesus loves you and we do too.  Now,
where can that ornery off switch be
trying to hide this week.  LOL we’ll see
if it does better than it did last week 🙂
Judy’s in the bedroom giving Rocky
a haircut and I thought I would peek
in to see if that switch was going to try
something different.  Nope,  but as
I came back in here I happened to see
movement from behind the picture of
my mom and dad that is sitting on my
desk and noticed something peeking
at me LOL.  Really,  that’s where you
chose to hide.  You still haven’t learned
the art of staying still,  have you LOL.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Rocky
and spirits of Benny and Milo Pearce.

Visions of Old

Looking at shadows
the time reflects on
seasons of doorways
as a so scenic song.
Sung as a melody
that seasons display
as visions of old
in autumn’s array.
The colors might be
just a little bit faint
as visions of old
so heavenly quaint.
You may encounter
a shadowy sight
within your visions
in a day’s sunlight.
Seen as a season
of a passing dream
life might unfold as
a seasonal scene.
Becoming moments
as stories foretold
it might be found
as visions of old.

Reflections of Heart

Home is perception
found within time
often a dreamworld
living in our mind.
It might be a place
of beauty and style
or of a moment
with a little smile.
There may be trees
of autumn’s array
found all around
in a magical way.
Enhancing scenery
in every little thing
reflections of heart
that shout and sing.
Creating a window
as seasons of time
forming a dream
within your mind.
Enlightening sights
that eyes consume
reflections of heart
time comes attune.
You might wake up
to a great big grin
if you remember
what lives within.
A dreamers world
that’s a work of art
displays a smile
reflections of heart.

Harmony Awaits

Many a moment
passes us by
leaving memories
to often run dry.
Forgetting times
of the yesterdays
when as youth
in playful arrays.
The little things
we did in time
were as harmony
a creative design.
There might be
a splashing sound
an ocean dream
found all around.
It might create
a harmonic tune
that emulates
a timeless swoon.
Bringing pictures
of distant dates
alive to enhance
harmony awaits.

Windows of Breath

Mirrored doorways
open and close
some as railways
and some as roads.
Life can become as
some old saloons
with swinging doors
and timeless tunes.
It might be a scene
as a story to tell
a breath to breathe
with scenic detail.
Yet we may find
moments rest
found in pathways
windows of breath.

Illusions and Dreams

Living as a memory
the past moves on
leaving reflections
as time sings along.
Sung as an ocean
with rolling waves
seen in the distance
as dreamers arrays.
Created by minds
remembering well
illusions and dreams
that awaken to tell.
Becoming seconds
in points in time
now within pictures
inside of our mind.
The sky might show
some worded scenes
awakening worlds.
illusions and dreams.

Holiday of White

Seasons reflections
are golden memoirs
scented of Christmas
as moments of stars.
Times I remember
that now are gone
live within my mind
as a seasonal song.
Snowflakes essence
becomes a memory
a holiday of white
a sight which to see.
Found on a stage
the ages of love
falling as snowflakes
from Heaven above.
This is Christmas
of which I delight
reflections of scenes
a holiday of white.

Pumpkins Remain

Left over fragments
of Halloween sights
might still be seen
in days and nights.
Growing bestowing
as an orangish hue
pumpkins in a field
bidding their adieu.
Halloween passed
and left in its wake
so many memories
moments to make.
Finding in a photo
a fraction of style
thriving as a story
a Halloween smile.
Scarily a moment
that comes around
the great pumpkin
and Charlie Brown.
So many children
time does attain
trick or treating as
pumpkins remain.

Time Lives On

Autumn reminds
of life and death
moments in time
breathing breath.
So many things
may come to end,
but find new life
around the bend.
Colors cascading
memories flow
as time lives on
creating a show.
For in the end
time starts anew
a different phase
a different view.
So have faith as
life moves along,
Lord God thrives
and time lives on.

Country Reflections

Turning the pages
to times long before
country reflections
might shine more.
Seasons of emotions
displayed in a time
country reflections
hearts may remind.
Displaying pictures
enhanced in scenes
country reflections
seasons of dreams.
As rustic memoirs
so timeless and true
country reflections
can live within you.

Hopeful Hearts

Some see Halloween
as a time to scare
and there are others
that seek a prayer.
Life can be hard
as seasons of pain
while hopeful hearts
try to entertain.
Providing doorways
for children to greet
and gather candy
for them to eat.
Seeking for smiles
and pleasure of time
so many hopefuls
just try to unwind.
Yet as Halloween
comes within view
it gives a thought
of ghost going boo.
Children dressed up
in scary costumes
saying trick or treat
within singing tunes.
Enjoy the moments
the season imparts
and find blessings
with hopeful hearts.

Haiku
for Oct 29,  2022

Remembering things
gives us hope for some lessons
we learned from the past.

Seasons of pathways
are often as reflections
and sometimes unique.

Hearing wind blowing
can paint pictures in your mind
that you imagine.

Hysteria’s nightmares
are often fueled from baggage
that we should let go.

Life of a teardrop
has a heartbeat of its own
in sadness and joy.

Leftovers from life
can often be surprises
we forgot about.

Within a forest
some trees might join together
to create one tree.

Yesterday’s fashion
might become the futures laugh,
for it was stupid.

Opening doorways
can also unleash problems
that you might regret.

Trials by fire
are often remembered best
as they were burned in.

So many travels
may become only memoirs
written in our mind.

Playing as the fool
you might find yourself truthful
within foolery.

Writing a lifetime
on an old piece of paper
might be hard to read.

Views of an ocean
can be seen as waves crashing
on a shore with song.

Treading too lightly
you might not feel the blessings
right beneath your feet.

Timeless reflections
are found within our mirrors
as we look inside.

Now may be shadows
of many things we have done
and viewed as right now.

The limits on life
have a load of perceptions
that God only knows.

Challenging someone
to something you know not of
makes you as a fool.

Striking another
and not just walking away
can create trouble.

Now is but a time
that comes about in our life
and might not return.

Snowflakes of winter
are awakened after fall
and purify life.
