ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

It’s been another cold week that has come
and gone only to welcome yet another one
to continue with the wintery days.  It looks
as though we’ll get snow most of the week.
Last night/Saturday night it got down to
-20 F and yes I had the water dribbling to
keep it from freezing again 🙂  Of course
we did not have the 25 to 40 miles an hour
winds blowing as we did the last time that
caused the water to freeze.  Those winds
made -25 F drop to -50-60 F  and well that
was an error on my part.  I should of had
the water dribbling in all the water faucets
through out the house to prevent them from
freezing LOL.  Oh well,  It thawed without
any busted pipes 🙂  PVC pipe is flexible
and not as apt to busting as copper pipes
are.  Living up here has been an ongoing
experience that is slowly but surely wearing
my old body out,   but I do like the scenery
as well as the cooler springs and summers 🙂
I do miss Texas,  but for only the fact that
I miss my family and friends as well as being
closer to Port Aransas TX which is surely
our favorite place to be in Texas.  We’re in
hopes of one day returning for another visit
to the Port Aransas coast and us lie on the
beach enjoying the sounds of the waves as
they roll in and out.  Also we both enjoyed
walking around on the beach taking pictures
as well as setting up our tripods and just
snapping a way as people walk passed us.
Each time we went,  people would pose for
us LOL.  One guy must of thought we were
professional photographers as he caught
big fish and brought it to our condo and
asked us to take pictures of him and it.  He
even brought us over a couple of plates of
fried fish from the fish he caught hehehe.
I did a poetry picture using one of the pics
that we took of him holding the fish.  I
wish there were a way that I could get in
touch with him to show him.  It’s in book
three and the poem is called The Catch.  It
came out pretty good being I was still a bit
new at doing poetry pictures 🙂  I’ve learned
a lot of tricks to do with pictures since then.
Yep,  Judy and I totally miss Port Aransas.
It was my home for a while back in the 80’s
and I wish at times that I had never left,
but if I hadn’t,  I most probably wouldn’t
of met Judy,  so I guess it all worked out
for the better.  It’s 6 PM now and the temp
is 12 F degrees and the low for tonight is
supposed to be 1 F.
Tomorrow/Monday’s
high is supposed to be 20 F degrees.  Still
it’s not nothing compared to what we have
had in the past LOL.  We are making do
with what we have.  God is still watching
over us as the days connect and interlock
in the ways they are intended.  I am sure
that we have many angels and kind spirits
watching over us.  We at times can feel
their presence.  I pray that God watches
over you and your loved ones as life goes
its way.  Remember,  the passed is gone
and is now but only a memory.  Use it
to find a smile or the lessons you need to
get you by.  God I pray that You will
always be watching over our families and
friends as well as ones we know not of.
Amen and Amen.  Now, I do believe it’s
time for me to be reading back over all
that I’ve written here to see if I can find
a good word or phrase that I can use for
the title for today’s brand new poem and
so it’s off I go to that little place of my
recollection that I always like to call
RECOLLECT VILLE.  It looks like I
may have stumbled upon a fairly decent
title just about a 3rd of the way back in
my rambling and now after checking I
see that it has not been used as of yet,
but used it shall be.  Here goes…

Nothing Compared

Doorways and windows
and seasons of time
become as the pathways
that live in our mind.
Thriving and resizing
the now and again
as nothing compared
to a heartbeat of wind.
We so often memorize
a moment or place
as a written memoir
that you now embrace.
Nothing compared to
the season of love
a time so divine
from heaven above.
Let God give essence
of His heavenly eyes
and show the beauty
of the true blue skies.
Allow for a moment
of prayerful release
as nothing compared
of a God filled peace.

Well there ya go.  I hope you liked the poem
and maybe even a little of my rambling.  The
temp is still 12 F degrees and it’s an hour later
than it was before.  In other words it’s 7 PM.
Before I start winding this up I want you to
put in prayer for our landlord Calvin.  He is
not doing well.  He’s a good man and we love
him.  He’s like family to us.  So,  that’s about
all I can think of to tell you other than what
I tell you every week and that is,  I wrote
some more poems and haiku.  Yep,  10 more
poems and 22 more haiku for all the haiku
lovers out there.  I hope you can find 1 or 2
of either or both that you like.  Now,  I do
believe it’s time for me to begin my search
for that hardly elusive off switch,  but yet
not before I wish you a truly blessings filled
week.  Remember,  Jesus loves you and we
do too.  Okey dokey,  so where can that lil
silly off switch be trying to hide this time?
LOL  I just glanced to my right and saw
it trying to quickly peek and hide again
behind my hearing aid that is charging
on my PC tower LOL.  I only use it when
my hearing takes a dive due to weather
or other things.  I only have 1 good ear.
My right ear is stone deaf and nothing
can help it.  Anyways,  dude I saw ya.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Rocky
and spirits of Benny and Milo Pearce.

Beyond The Tracks

The ages of time
are often memorized
scenes we remember
clouds in the skies.
Our own reflections
might just be a phase
on beyond the tracks
to the distant days.
We might not realize
the aromas of time
that’s just a memory
living in our mind.
For back in the day
might not have been
how you remember
as way back then.
The windows of time
might hide the facts
all of the moments
beyond the tracks.

Winter Bids Adieu

Springtime awaits us
as winter finds end
leaving its reflection
as times transcend.
Bringing about life
of a different array
as winter bids adieu
in its own little way.
The melting of snow
that awakens scenes
seasonal moments
as ponds or springs.
Waters start to flow
with the passing time
creating doorways
of new days to find.
So don’t let the cold
to down your spirit
for spring will arrive
with all that’s in it.
Enjoy the beauty
that winter gives you
then welcome spring
as winter bids adieu.

Time To Swoon

The light up above
might reflect time
as the sun fades
in evening’s mind.
Creating a sight
dreamers dream
soon to be night
a magical scene.
Many will swoon
as the orb glows
moonlight above
in nightly shows.
Giving an essence
of dreamers skies
a time to swoon
with starry eyes.
Let yourself go
and find a place,
the moon above
a smiling face.
Allow for dreams
within the moon
to bring you joy
a time to swoon.

Heartbeats of Paws

Living as a pet
so many are more
four paws stood
with love to soar.
Watching as days
pass them on by
looking to you
as stars in a sky.
We need to seek
to be like them
love with a heart
that isn’t so dim.
Find the beauty
within life itself
and don’t put love
on a dusty shelf.
Be more grateful
with oohs and ahhs
just like our pets
heartbeats of paws.

Dreams Ignite

Life is a window
that we look through
within a perspective
of times old and new.
Recalling a moment
that ignites like flame
might give heartbeats
for times to attain.
It could be a picture
or a sound you heard
as the dreams ignite
with a hopeful word.
Heard deep within
as a sweet memory
a season of artwork
that time gave to see.
Perplexing emotions
might come in sight
as wintertime’s snow
makes dreams ignite.

Sights Unfold

Painted up above
artwork of bliss
scenes are created
giving eyes a kiss.
A sky of wonders
in clouds of white
scented of colors
a bluish delight.
Time is a window
that we look thru
as sights unfold
with scenic view.
Living blessings
for young and old
that God displays
as sights unfold.

Years of Roads

Riding along
on the layers
roads of life
scenic prayers.
Life gives way
for time to be
sight and sound
of living history.
Time moves on
as a passageway
so often a story
of a distant day.
Life may seem
as a carousel
going in circles
as a living Hell.
Yet the story
life bestows
is with tools
years of roads.

Incoming Plow

Things remembered
things we thought
are now memories
a little or a lot.
We might reflect on
a time and again
plowing a lifestyle
times to transcend.
Yet within seconds
minutes were born
an incoming plow
just trying to form.
Creating the rows
of seconds to think
as seasonal scenes
and water to drink.
Thirst of knowledge
needs us to allow
the lessons of life
an incoming plow.

Skyline Windows

Actors of moments
might recreate
the magical places
of a time and date.
Seasons painted
glimmers of style
skyline windows
of a distant smile.
You may see eyes
displayed in a hill
that look at you
with life to instill.
Creating echoes
of a scenic past
skyline windows
shadows to cast.
Living as a breath
breathed of a day
within heartbeats
of a blissful array.
Hills and valleys
of skyline’s desire
may burn bright
as a cosmic fire.
Seeming a dream
a passionate time
it formulates life
inside our mind.
Creating passages
as cosmic flows
magical scenes in
skyline windows.

Afternoon’s Light

Threads of sunshine
rise up in the hills
as portraits of life
that magic fulfills.
Unlike a painting
it breathes of time
in afternoon’s light
with sights to dine.
Sewn up as seconds
with cinematic hues
creating perspective
as wonderful views.
Soon the day ends
with a magical sight
as night transforms
in afternoon’s light.

Haiku
for Feb 25,  2023

Time is a number
that so many never count
due to laziness.

So many doorways
only open for money
and have no true heart.

Leaving your anger
in the past where it belongs
makes for good future.

Scenes with illusions
can often trick our vision
into seeing things.

Years that come and go
might leave many reflections
that others can see.

Yesterdays of life
might look better than today,
but not so in truth.

The needs of many
can put confusion in gear,
so deal with a few.

Leaving doors opened
you might allow the devil
to just walk on in.

Making war with time
leaves seconds to battle with
within the minutes.

Change is just a view,
for it should begin within
and not how you look.

Yesterday’s windows
might be clouded from within
and not what was there.

Traveling eyesight
can often see many things,
but none very clear.

We are as the Earth,
for we each are a pebble
that God Created.

Teems of illusions
can create a world of dream
that does not exist.

Shadows of ourselves
are found within the people
that we see each day.

Picking up a phone
to call out to a true friend
needs you to be one.

The length of a day
is always changing our minds
with our impatience.

Living for others
needs you to find good reason
to live for yourself.

So many errors
are as tools to use later
and some are lessons.

When glancing upwards
you might see a few raindrops
falling from the clouds.

Trivial insight
can become a living shell
filled with emptiness.

Opening our minds
can let in lessons of life
through the journeys.
