Highway of Life

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

How have you been? It’s been getting a tad nippy up here
the passed few days. Hehehe even Benny don’t want to be
outside for very long. It’s not so much the temperature, but
the 40 and 50 mile and hour winds that tend to drop the chill
factor down to brrrr and below LOL. Gotta hang onto the old
screen door when letting the boys out to go potty or it’ll blow
off LOL. Benny had a poopy butt this morning and Judy did
the washing of his rump this time. I guess between the wind
and the cold, he hurried a tad too much hehehe. Anyways,
he enjoyed the shower so much that he was running all over
the house ecstatic sounding like a miniature horse galloping.
I guess Milo is overdue a bath, so I might give him one a
bit later. Yet, firstly making sure that he has done all of his
duties outside before. Hehehe Milo has a weak bladder and
he can’t hold it for long. Fortunately he dries very quickly.
It’s 17 F degrees right now at 4:42 PM and white outside.
Yep, it snowed a bit last night and the forecast is for a bit
more in the next few days. As December grows closer,
we will be seeing much more of that white stuff that Benny
and me love to play in. Now, onto another topic. The man
that is in charge of the Public Access TV Program in New
York has picked out quite a few of my poems he is wanting
to have read on his program. He’ll have actors reading my
poetry. He said that the program will air the first week of
December and it’ll be uploaded to YouTube and Vimeo, but
he would send Judy and I a DVD copy of the TV broadcast.
We can’t wait to watch the Christmas program. All though
it’ll only air in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess Counties
in New York, so ones elsewhere will have to watch it either
on YouTube or Vimeo. I’ll post them when I get the links.
The video might be able to be purchased on DVD, but I’ll
find out about that later. So, what else is going on up this
way? Hmm, well Judy just took the boys into the bedroom
to watch TV and give me room to think hehehe. I’m not
sure, but I think they’re watching Finding Bigfoot :). I’m
still waiting for the episode titled We Found Bigfoot and
it was Bill Pearce LOL. I used to always get teased about
the size of my feet. My dad always said I had a real good
foundation. Hehehe yea and I said like a blow up boxing
clown huh. For those of you too young to know anything
of a boxing clown, a boxing clown was a child’s punching
bag filled with air usually looking like Bozo the clown LOL.
It was round and weighted at the bottom keeping it from
falling down. Hehehe so now ya have had a little history
lesson. Maybe a useless history lesson, but none the
less a history lesson :). Hehehe Now Judy is watching
Bruce Almighty LOL. It’s a funny movie. The boys
are lying on the bed with her, yet seeming uninterested
in the movie LOL. I think they only like cartoons and
their favorite is Tom and Jerry hehehe. Yea I know,
they just like to watch the images and hear the sound
effects hehehe. I’m sure they have no clue of what that
is going on one way or another hehehe, but then I may
be wrong :). Boy, that wind is blowing hard out there.
Our scarecrow has already blown away and might be
in Canada by now LOL. It’s actually been sort of quiet
around here the last few days of course aside from the
boys yelping time to time either wanting treats, wanting
to be played with or needing to go potty. Benny hasn’t
even barked too much at the sounds of our neighbors
slamming car doors and snowplows that go up and down
the road time to time to keep them cleared for traffic.
Of course we don’t have all that much traffic, but it’s
great for us, being our little Mazda isn’t the greatest
on snowy roads LOL. It does though manage to make
its way through the stuff as long as it’s not too deep :).
I thank God for all of the beauty He allows me to see.
Being I love to do photography, it works great for me.
I actually can’t wait till we get our first HEAVY snow.
It always looks so beautiful. I know it’s a pain for
those that have to get out in it to go to work, but for
me, it’s great. I’ll take the boys out and we’ll have
a blast playing in it while taking a few pictures here
and there of our antics as I did last year. Thank You
God for all that you have given us and all that You do
that we’re unaware of. Judy, I and the boys are very
grateful for You bringing us together as a loving family.
If you are with struggles as you journey on your way,
then let God have your load and He will give you the
strength to make it another mile. Life will often seem
as tons of nightmares, but the Heavenly dreams will
become the highlights of the venture as time passes
by if you will let them. Don’t just live in regret for all
that you have done or been put through. Thank God
for allowing you to find the lessons. Sometimes, the
best lessons are from a grueling highway of life, for
you’ll remember the bumps. Yet, while remembering,
also take note of what took you down that pathway
and use it as a tool of prevention. God expects us to
do our part. He will not do for you what you are able
to do for yourself. Now with that said. it’s time for
me to begin my little journey back through all that
I’ve written here to see if I can find a good word or
phrase that I can use for the title for today’s brand
new poem. So, it’s away I go to that little place of my
recollection that I like to call RECOLLECT VILLE.
I think I may have found a good title, but gotta check
first to see if I haven’t used it already hehehehehehe.
Nope, ain’t used it, so here goes nothing :).

Highway of Life

When changes are displayed
in seasons we view
the highway of life then
might misconstrue.
We might see the wrong ways
of highways detail
and think that they’re always
just leading to Hell.
Yet with the many
of bumps we will find
the highway of life will
show its design.
Often as lessons
that we could not see
the highway of life
will show history.
The many times sights
and sounds that we found,
might be God’s guidance
to His solid ground.
The highway of life
is often viewed wrong
while many will say they
do not belong.
Let now your ventures
of highways of life
fill you with lessons
and not full of strife.

Okey-dokey, there ya go. I did write a Thanksgiving
poem. It’s amongst the list of poems below hehehehehe.
Good Lord of Mercy, that wind is blowing hard now :).
Benny is even barking at it hehehe. I guess I better get
this finished before a tree is blown over into the power
lines somewhere and knocks out our electricity hehehe.
I’ve been saving my writing as drafts ever so often being
I have had the electricity go out on me before when I was
almost done and had to start again from scratch and that
is not fun. LOL that happened just about a month ago or
so hehehe. It happened once, NOT GONNA HAPPEN
TWICE hehehe. I have a battery back up, but it seems
that the battery has gone bad and needs to be replaced.
One day I will buy another one when we can afford it,
but until then, I’ll save to draft as I write :). Now I think
it’s time for me to be telling you what I tell you every
week and that is, I wrote some more poems and haiku.
Yeppers, 10 more poems with 3 of them being Christmas
poems and 1 being a Thanksgiving poem. Also I once
again wrote 22 haiku for all of my haiku lovers out there.
I hope you find a few of one or the other that makes
you smile or even think. Now I believe it’s come to the
point and time that I need to begin searching for that
ornery off switch, but not before I wish you a most
wonderful God filled week and Happy Thanksgiving.
Always remember, Jesus loves you and we do too.
Ok dude, where are ya hiding this week. Really!!!
Honestly, I don’t understand how you think you can
hide on my tissue box, when ya know I have tons of
allergies and grab a tissue more often than the wind
blows LOL. Gotcha, see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill and Judy Pearce
(and Benny and Milo)

Now on with the poems and haiku
10 and 22 hehehehehehehehehe 🙂

Christmas Point of View

When snow flakes fall
from clouds of white
the Christmas point
of view is in sight.
Then some lights
of red, green and blue
will be ones Christmas
point of view.
Songs so joyful
sung united
will be found with
ones excited.
When the snowflakes
gather each day
the Christmas point
of view will sway.
Giving ones sights
to change their mind
about the thoughts
of Christmastime.
The seasons magic
thereunto
is the great Christmas
point of view.
Finding peaceful
through the sadness
while Christmas joy
is filled with gladness.
Allowing Christmas
to be cherished
and not be just
times that perished.
The Christmas point
of view should be
felt deep within
not just what you see.

Scenes Remembered

Wonderful magical
times long ago
many remember
as seasons white snow.
Yet many people
don’t have it so true
as scenes remembered
in their point of view.
Christmas to many
is green glowing bright
found without snow
yet lit up with light.
Driving around
while searching to find
many lights glittering
at Christmastime.
The scenes remembered
might not be so cold
and it might surely be
same as the old.
Wonderful magical
Christmas snowscapes
are often found as some
video tapes.
A Wonderful Life
ones watch in December
often brings joyful
as smiles burning ember.
Those scenes remembered
as just black and white
are often the greatest
of Christmas delight.

Faded Sights

Morning comes
with shadows phase
leading into
blacks and greys.
Faded sights then
are then seen
as a shadows
hollow dream.
Minutes pass
as seconds gain
with faded sights
ones can attain.
In those faded
sights of time
there can also
be sublime.
Scenes created
by a place
or then maybe
someone’s face.
Faded sights from
now to then
might remind us
where and when.

Christmas Arrival

Many a snowflake,
and many a style
prepares for the seasons
Christmassy smile.
Painted with glittering
lights all aglow
the Christmas arrival
is often in snow.
Song ones are singing
with joyful attune
bring in the smiles of
Christmastime soon.
With every second
and minute of day
the Christmas arrival
has so much to say.
Words filled with passion
and joyful accord
the Christmas arrival
is Heaven’s reward.
Displayed with a manger
and Jesus within
the Christmas arrival
forgives us for sin.

Can You Hear The Bells?

The sight of old Santa
is soon on it’s way
as Santa and reindeer
make their display.
Flying across the sky
in a sleigh full of toys
to give to all of the
good girls and boys.
Can you hear the bells
that jingle in the night?
It’s Santa with reindeer
in the moonlight..
Christmas Eves journey
is found in the sky
as Santa makes distance
as his reindeer fly.
He lands on the roof tops
as the story foretells,
with ones saying momma
can you hear the bells.
The jingling jangling
that’s heard from the roof
could be old Santa
with each reindeer hoof.
So, now as I end this
poem that foretells
tell me now truly
can you hear the bells?

Thankful For You

I seek the wonders
of Thanksgiving Day
giving us blessings
in a Godly array.
Thankful for Jesus
and thankful for love.
Thankful for all of the
gifts from above.
I’m thankful for people
that entered my life.
I’m thankful for you dear
my loving wife.
I look around me now
and see shining stars
that are the blessings
God’s given as ours.
Two little doggies
that we treat as boys
that are so often
just playing with toys.
They came from Heaven
to do what they do
and I’m thankful for them
and I’m thankful for you.

To Judy Pearce,
Benny and Milo

From me 🙂

When I Sleep

The dreams I see
with passing sheep
are very well counted
when I sleep.
One two three four
sheep are on their way
to try and help me
before light of day.
The dreams I find
when the sheep are gone
are often displayed
mornings dawn.
The wakened morsels
here and there
is when I sleep
not very fair.
My painful body
still lays there aching
seeking for dreams then
none awakening.
For when I sleep
I find I am better
to cease the day
no matter the weather.

Delivering Love

Scenes in a storybook
written and read
are often mistaken
for all that is said.
The Christmastime story’s
of Santa Claus
are often found
with oohs and ahs.
Many will read them
and understand
that Christmastimes magic
is like seasons sand.
The purpose of Santa
is delivering love
coming from Jesus
Christ from above.
Santa is an image
of giving so free
what God has done
for you and for me.
Delivering love
on a magical night
Christmas Eves journey
we each should delight.

Beyond The Way

Found in amazement
sometimes might seem
beyond the way a
magical stream.
Those minutes of joy
that we photograph
could be a cloud
of a whitish giraffe.
The streams of story’s
found in the sky
leave many wondering
how, where and why.
All of the paintings
that God does bestow
give us some beauty
we see from below.
The epic surroundings
we find day to day
could be some clouds found
beyond the way.

The Passing of Time

With but a moment
the passing of time
will become shadows
of both yours and mine.
Things we remember
or slightly recall
the passing of time might
show over all.
Days we have chosen
to put in the past
are still maybe scenes
of a shadowy cast.
Don’t let those moments
be just bridges burned.
The passing of time should
be lessons learned.
Look for the blessings
you found from the bad
and the passing of time
won’t then be so sad.

Haiku
for Nov 22, 2013

When today is gone
it will be yesterday found
as just memories.

Looking for pictures
in the fluffy clouds above
might find some people.

With passing of days
there are glimmers remembered
as just a mere phase.

Wintertime’s snowflakes
that come floating from above
paint some blissful scenes.

Never ending times
are found in our memories
as likes and regrets.

A violet sunset
expresses itself through art
combining blues and reds.

A turtles venture
is a slow moving process,
of patience and strive.

With many praying
there are blessings uncounted
that then come to be.

Today brings hopeful
if yesterday’s remembered
as many lessons.

Too many people
leave worries in their pockets
and do not empty.

No is a meaning
that many misunderstand
as bad not for good.

Waking to bad news
doesn’t mean that it can’t change,
for time moves along.

Misleading phrases
make ones to stumble blindly
without not a clue.

Soon winters snowflakes
will encompass the season
with scenes to display.

With words of haiku
many will find their own thoughts
within the three lines.

Beyond a threshold
might be a new beginning
you never thought of.

Scenes from the seasons
display as flowers blooming
or snowflakes falling.

Having a problem
can turn to having answers
if you work on it.

With tomorrows thoughts
comes the changes in the night
that might change the thoughts.

Looks are just skin deep,
for beyond the skin is true
and so hard to see.

A true chainlink fence
still has quite a few weak spots
that need attention.

When one stops talking,
their thoughts will continue on
thinking of what’s said.
