ANIMAL’S GREETINGS
Hello my friends
I hope you’ve been staying
cool. We’ve
been enjoying the end of summer, as the
temperature has been
dropping a bit with
each passing day. Today’s high is around
72 F degrees
the same as it’s supposed to
be tomorrow. Yesterday was in the mid
to
upper 60’s. Last night was in the lower
40’s as it was on into the
early morning
hours of today. There’s not been much
going on around this
place. This passed
week, Judy went for a scheduled blood
work
appointment, just test, but that’s
about all. She’s OK 🙂 Just blood
test
she has to have done time to time being
she’s diabetic. Other than
that our week
was pretty laid back. Of course I mowed
a little last week
just as I plan on doing
some mowing tomorrow. We went to town
yesterday
to do a little shopping and then
we went and got us some ice cream and
the
Houlton Farms Dairy. They’ll maybe be
closing next month to get ready
for winter.
We go a couple of times every year to get
us some ice cream as
a special treat to us.
They have the greatest ice cream Yummy.
Next
topic. As I said earlier, it’s been a
fairly peaceful week. We’ve been
tinkering
around the house taking care of our crop
and flowers. LOL our
crop sounds like
we’ve got a farm huh 🙂 Nope just a lowly
tomato plant
that seems to be doing rather
well. We should have a few ripe
tomatoes
soon 🙂 Judy’s flowers are doing great. We
will soon though be
having to bring them
inside for winter which means cleaning off
spots in
the spare room, being we’ve got
a lot more flowers and what not than
we
had last year LOL. I don’t miss that old
summer heat in Texas. If we
were still in
Texas, I would have to stay inside all the
time, being my
old body cannot handle
the heat as well and it could when I was
younger
and healthier. I love the scenery
up here. I know, there’s scenery in
Texas
too, but not the same as up here. Plus,
it rarely snows of any
scale in the parts
of Texas I lived in LOL. I’ve grown to
love the snow.
I love how it makes even
the dullest scenery into a works of art 🙂
I know
Texas gets snow, but it’s very
short lived hehehe. I guess I was
meant
to live up north. I have always been very
hot natured and could do
better in the
cold than in the heat. Though I’ll always
be a Texan. It’s
where I was born and
raised. People up here can tell that I’m
a Texan
just by a few words I say and
the way I say them LOL. I remember
the
first few times we went to Walmart
and I said to the checker, “I’ve
gotta
couple of cases of soda waters” and they
would say, WHAT? Hahaha,
yeppers
it don’t matter if it’s my Mountain Dews
or Judy’s Pepsis, I call
em soda waters.
My Pawpaw (my mom’s dad) got me to
calling them that. Him
and grandmother
were like second parents to me. I spent
a lot of time
with them working in the
garden and him and me out on the lake
fishing the
nights away. I sure miss those
days. It would be great to be able to
go
and relive those days, but it seems that
time has no problem with
continuing on.
It has many paces, some fast and some
slow, but it never
stops. I thank God
for all the good times that I was able to
live through
as well as the lessons that
made me stronger. No, I’m not glad
I went
through the bad times, but if I
hadn’t of, I would not be as strong of
a
man as I am today. Thank You God
for all that You allowed in my life
as
lessons and joy. Now I think I need to
begin my search back through
all that
I have written here to see if I can find
a good word or phrase
that I can use
for the title for today’s brand new poem.
So, it’s away I
go to that place of my
recollection that I always like to call
RECOLLECT
VILLE. I think I found
a decent title just a few lines back in
my
rambling and now after checking I see
that it has not been used yet,
so used it
shall be. Here goes…
Continuing On
Our pathways
of life
might have a few rocks
time frames recalled
as a life of hard
knocks.
Yet as we continue
to learn from our views
the passages of
time
create a new news.
One that may blossom
into a great flower,
or
one with lessons
to give us more power.
Look for the good
within all
that you see,
for even the bad times
can help you and me.
Let God to
guide you
between right and wrong
teaching you lessons
while continuing
on.

I hope you liked the poem and
maybe
even understood it 🙂 I also hope you
enjoyed all of my rambling.
I think I
have told you all there is to tell other
than what I tell you
every week and that
is, I wrote some more poems and haiku.
Yep, 10 more
poems, but no extras :),
although there are 3 Christmas poems
in the
mix. I also wrote 22 more haiku
for all of the haiku lovers out there
🙂
I hope you can find 1 or 2 of either or
both that you like. I guess
I’ll sneak in a
little info right here LOL. I’ll be 63
next Saturday 🙂
I’m getting old. Judy
and I have made plans on going to the
Governor’s
Restaurant in Presque Isle
for my birthday 🙂 like we do every
year and
I’ll more than likely do as I
always do hehehe and take pictures all
the
way up there and back. So now I
believe it’s time for me to begin my
lil
search for that hardly elusive off switch,
but not before I wish you a
blessings
filled week. Remember, Jesus loves
you and we do too. Now,
where can
that ornery off switch be trying to hide
this time and I use the
term trying to
hide very loosely LOL? Looking high
and low around the
room. Hmm 🙂
is that you behind my little headset?
Yeppers, its you.
What ya listening
to??? They’re not plugged in Hahaha.
Gotcha, see ya
CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Seem Like Glass
Just
like a stream
the clearest flow
our lives at times
may come and
go.
On some days
that rains release
the water will flow
with fluid
peace.
Yet many moments
may seem wild
as glass refracted
times
compiled.
You might even see
a fervent reflection
seeming like
glass
in your perception.
A time you believe
was just a frame
as but
a moment
for you to attain.
Countless times
that came to be
to help
your eyes
to clearly see.
Life giving scenes
of a watery
flow
instill their value
wherever they go.
Yet as time frames
come
unto pass
we’ll still see things
that seem like glass.

Just Like Art
Synching our eyes
with
young and old
can create art
as moments unfold.
Art like
perceptions
become as a glance
filled with vibrations
as times of
romance.
Just like a vision
a picture you took
life can become
what
many forsook.
Yet with opened eyes
and seeing the views,
you might
envision
a choice to choose.
Then to begin with
a picture or
thought
to unleash dreams
that can’t be bought.
Seeming immortal
the
pictures begin
as a phase of ways
that never really end.
So many
pictures
can fade from sight
if we don’t hold them
within today’s
light.
Look for the living
within every part
and find
beginnings
that are just like art.

Floating Along
Often our peaceful
is hidden from
view
as life floats by us
with an unnoticed hue.
Sometimes
eyesight
is weaker in a way
that many only see us
just drifting
away.
Just floating along
as a timeless dream,
but deep within us
we
seek to scream.
Many only see us
outwards looking in
and don’t see
clearly
our beginning to end.
Yet on some days
of our life
thereunto
we’re with enjoyment
in waters of blue.
Just spending
time
maybe singing a song
with life passing by us
while floating
along.

Eve of Bliss
An
evening falls
to give its shine
haze of sunlight
moments mind.
A
winter scene
becomes the view
as eve of bliss
is fresh and true.
As
remembered
the seasons show
a winter’s white
as fallen snow.
Seasons
journeys
paint and draw
an eve of bliss
with Heaven’s awe.
Giving
memoirs
for our minds
Christmas scenes
that time unwinds.
As an eve
of bliss
and day to pass
we each remember
a shadow’s cast.
Such as
scenes
of Christmas trees,
Christmas lights
and snowy seas.
The
songs we sing
of the seasons kiss
are what live on
in an eve of
bliss.

Brush of Life
Just
like canvas
time becomes
new life painted
seasons suns.
Art of
nature
of many styles
becomes as our
daily smiles.
Giving
moments
time to breathe
a brush of life
to then perceive.
Many
windows
we look through
are of lifetimes
with their view.
That of
changes
wondrous ways
as a brush of life
paints the days.
Simple
things
within our view
might have life
for me and you.
It may be a
sky
with hazy tint
found to be
so heaven sent.
A brush of
life
begins to paint
things so bold
or maybe faint.
Seasons
bloom
times unfold
seconds passing
young to old.
With the
blades
of grassy times
a brush of life
creates designs.

Winter’s Revival
Many love
summer,
but only complain
of the heat that comes
along with the
rain.
I am a winter one
and seek for the snow
timeless
perceptions
and Christmassy glow.
A winter’s revival
is a great sight
to see
a time that defines
what’s best for me.
Christmastime
essence
as scenes come alive
when snowflakes fall
from the wintery
skies.
A time I remember
and a time I look for
as a winter’s
revival
just like times before.
Scenes as dreams
that live in my
mind
as the magical places
become well defined.
Such an explosion
of
beauty and love
as the season of joy
from Heaven above.
The time of
year
I wait for its arrival
scenes snowy white
as a winter’s
revival.

Miles of Dirt
Looking for time
on a old passageway
might find designs
of
a so distant day.
Dust may have settled,
but time moves on
down an old
dirt road
of a memorized song.
You might uncover
a track that was
laid
by wheels of lifestyles
that began to fade.
With miles of
dirt
there’s time and place
moments forgotten
that a few embrace.
So
many years pass
with shadows we see
as the miles of dirt
create you and
me.
We leave memories
in places we go,
that many perceive
in life to
and fro.
Don’t just remember
the pain and hurt.
Look for the
blessings
down miles of dirt.

Found in Reality
Snapping pictures
of a passing
thought
helps to remember
what can’t be bought.
Found in memories
as
seasons of trails
within our reality
and timeless details.
A mere
photograph
can hold in its grasp
the reality of time
that’s come to
pass.
We might see illusions
of when and where,
but pictures hold
true
to then and there.
They may fade a bit
as time moves on,
but a
photo still holds
what might be gone.
What we remember,
might not be
clear
of a time or a place
of our yesteryear.
So take a picture
and
hold it real tight,
for it might one day
shed some light.
Maybe of a
photo
of a place you recall
found in reality
a time standing
tall.

Scent of Christmas
An aroma in the air
displays in the mind
such a wonderful
scene
that is Christmastime.
The scent can become
as a heartfelt
array
with a fantastic sight
that comes out to play.
An old country
house
becomes such a view
as snow falls upon it
with a magical
hue.
The sight comes alive
with snow all around
and Christmas
music
displays such a sound.
Jingle Bells playing
on an old radio
as
scent of Christmas
joins with the snow.
The song Silent Night
gives a
peaceful heart
as snowflakes fall
creating works of art.
The season
unleashes
so many sights to see
as the twinkling of lights
on each
Christmas tree.
Memories of the past
are written in the wind
as a scent
of Christmas
comes around the bend.

Summer Green
Camera in hand
I snapped away
colors of
summer
one distant day.
It was as a book
a time discerned
the green
of life
as pages turned.
I found me a view
so heavenly free
a gift
from God
that He gave me.
A phase of green
an awesome view
that came
to life
so fresh and new.
Seeming a dream
my eyes open wide
I saw
all around
as I came outside.
It brought me joy
a summer sight
a
heavenly scene
the dawn of light.
The sweet aroma
so great to
breathe
was from the grass
and nearby trees.
Such a blessing
a time
well spent
brought me joy
to a great extent.
I felt refreshed
as it
faded away
a summer green
of a distant day.
I now remember
so well
that scene
a mindful moment
of summer green.

Haiku
for Aug 24, 2019
The stories we tell
might
be but only fiction,
but some will believe.
The life of flowers
is
that of a mere seedling
to when it’s again seed.
Treads of our
shoes
leave often their impressions
where we do not wish.
Beyond
what we see
there are images of time
that might not be
false.
Tracking a moment
in the heat of a desire
could become
trouble.
Knowing what exist
and not sure of what doesn’t
finds many
in fear.
The seed of a life
is planted within a thought
that many
don’t see.
Sunlight of daytime
brings forth many beginnings
that
might not be good.
Soon after summer
autumn brings many
colors
alive after death.
When finding yourself
you might be
greatly surprised
at all that you are.
Beginnings we see
can most
times be the endings
of another time.
When seeking a change
make
sure you’re not losing life
that was much better.
The scent of
liars
becomes a stench that exist
as ones emptiness.
Fires of
lifetimes
are often started by hate
and put out with love.
Allowing
haters
to create torment in you
gives them much power.
Caution to
the wind
is like winds of tornadoes
that you just ignore.
Autumns
leaves will fall
as colors become photos
that many will
take.
Illusions of life
can often become our views
that no one else
sees.
Various doorways
will become good or bad paths
according to
choice.
Letting ones anger
to become as your anger
shows that
you’re not sure.
Need of a lifetime
is not just water and food,
for
we need to breathe.
The greater your mind,
the less chance of being
swayed,
by a weaker mind.
