ANIMAL’S GREETINGS
Hello my friends
Well the year is at end now and tomorrow
will not only be a brand new day, but also
a brand new year. Yep, 2017 is breathing
its last breath and beginning after midnight
I will have try and remember it is another
year. LOL I might do as always and end up
having to go back and fix the poems that I
signed 2017 for a month or so hehehe. My
old brain gets locked onto one year and it
refuses to release it for a month or 2 LOL.
So, I guess it’s on with the journal. As you
may have noticed, I didn’t write a journal
last week. Hey, it was Christmas. Judy and
I were enjoying our time together watching
Christmas movies and eating good food 🙂
It snowed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
It was a good thing we didn’t have anywhere
to be, because we were snowed in with about
a foot of snow or more. It was a wonderful
sight. The snow made Christmas even better.
I got out with the snow blower Christmas Day
and plowed a place for the boys to go potty.
They couldn’t get out LOL. The snow was
a bit too deep to potty in. LOL Rocky was
following not far behind me as I plowed the
snow. He had to go potty Hahaha. After
I got it done, both he and Benny were out
there finding spots to do their thing hehehe.
Then as I walked out to the road to check
the mail, they stood atop the deep snow to
watch me. Yes I know mail did not run then,
but I had not checked the mail since Friday
so Saturday’s mail was out there. It’s not
like our mailbox is within just a few steps ya
know LOL. It’s quite a ways out to the main
road. Anyways, our landlord had someone
come and plow our driveway the day after
Christmas. So the 28th which was Thursday
I went out and dug our car out of the snow
so we could go to town and buy a few things.
I also spent that day working on the porch
door to get it where it would shut and our
front door trying to seal up the air leaks.
Got that all done. Judy and I then went
to town and bought stuff we were out of.
I’m hoping this new year has a few blessings
in it. We don’t ask for much. Just a few
blessings. Next topic. Well, it looks as if
we might get some more snow this week 🙂
It don’t bother me none. I love the snow,
but I am thinking that maybe if I were not
retired with no where to go, that I might
not love it near as much hehehe. Though
as the years keep mounting up on this old
body I don’t enjoy the snow as much as I
used to. If we ever have any days that it
is not too cold for the boys, I’ll go out
and toss them a few snowballs to chase 🙂
Right now at 6 PM it’s -2 F degrees which
is not all that bad, but it is too cold to
do any snowball throwing and of course
for the boys to stay out with me and play.
Thursday along with snow, the temp is
supposed to be a high of 25 F, so me and
the boys might do a little play time then.
We might make a few short visits to the
outdoors before then. Of course they’ve
gotta go outside and potty, but they make
it quick LOL. Then when they come back
inside they’re always in a playful mood as
they play chase through the house hehehe.
Yeppers, wintertime is one of my favorite
seasons. Of course I could do without the
price of heating oil always depleting our
bank accounts, but that’s life. I do love
Spring, but as the temperature begins to
rise, my old body has trouble functioning.
I am very hot natured and cannot stand it
if the temperature gets near 80 F degrees.
On that matter, I do not miss Texas heat.
I do wish there was a way to just snap my
fingers and magically visit my friends and
family, but transporters are still things of
Star Trek, not real life LOL. Scientist may
be working on such things, but I am in
no hurry to have my atoms rearranged in
a box and then hear someone say Oops.
Most of all I don’t want to hear someone
say Uh-oh from a place other than where
my ears are supposed to be located Haha.
Yes, I would love it if I could visit Texas
or wherever in just but a moment’s time.
I do though thank God for all that He’s
done for Judy and I. He has given us a
ton of blessings. Judy and I had a great
Christmas and tonight we will count down
to the new year and holler HAPPY NEW
YEAR. We might even turn on the TV to
watch the ball drop in New York. I hope
that the new year holds onto a few of the
better things that the previous years have
brought and doesn’t toss them in the trash.
I thank You God for all that You have
done for Judy and I. Thank You for the
many blessings that have come our way.
Now I believe it’s time for me to take a
little trip back through all that I’ve written
here to see if I can find me a good word or
phrase that I can use for the title for today’s
brand new poem. I think I found a fairly
decent title just a few lines back and now
after checking I see that it’s not been used
as of yet, so used it shall be. Here goes…
Magically
The minutes of a year
are as moments of time
magically displaying
what many will find.
We might see beauty
or a little despair
found on our journey
for a little fresh air.
Magically speaking
God does provide
things that we need
for time’s bumpy ride.
We might find struggles
within our own way
that are seen in our eyes
as a troubled array.
Yet then as minutes
are gathered around
you might then perceive
where lessons are found.
Magically forming
as we seek to survive,
lessons from Lord God
will keep us alive.
A new year of lessons
will bring forth a sign
often seen magically
within our own mind.
Scenes we’ve recorded
and things we recall
will display the new year
as life’s bouncing ball.
So as a new year
is clearer to see
look for the blessings
in life magically.

I hope you liked the poem. It came to mind
in pieces and I had to put it together hehehe.
I also hope you enjoyed my rambling. Yes,
I know I tend to ramble on and on about the
silliest things. Anyways, I hope you had a
great Christmas, Hanukah or whatever you
celebrated. We had a great Christmas. Not
many presents, but we have the greatest gift
and that is each other and God. We’ve also
got our little boys here that keep us smiling.
So I guess it’s time for me to be telling you
what I tell you almost every week and that is
I wrote some more poems and haiku. Yep
10 more poems with 1 extra and all 11 of
them are Christmas poems. I also wrote 22
more haiku for all of the haiku lovers out
there. I hope you can find 1 or 2 of either
or both that you like. Now I believe it’s time
for me to begin my search for that hardly
elusive off switch, but not before I wish
you a most wonderful weekend or what
that’s left of it and a HAPPY NEW YEAR
with a blessings filled week. Remember,
Jesus loves you and we do too. OK, so
where is that off switch hiding this week?
It’s had a whole extra week to look for a
good hiding spot. LOL and once again it
did not use it Hahaha. Hiding behind the
salt shaker didn’t work the other times
you tried it, so why do you hide there?
The shaker is CLEAR and is only about
a 3rd filled LOL. Try harder next time.
Gotcha, see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
God bless from Bill, Judy, Benny, Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

Mindful Gaze
Looking true
to distant styles
a mindful gaze
within the miles,
winter’s scenes
of love and peace
becomes essence
times release.
Christmas snow
so fluffy white
a mindful gaze
of pure delight.
Looking true
to all you see
you might find
a Christmas tree.
Found within
the winter’s days
you might find
a mindful gaze.

Doors That Open
Stages of winter
show a sign
doors that open
to Christmastime.
Seamless billows
snowy white
doors that open
to daylight.
As pure magic
of winter’s while
doors that open
give a smile.
Time once hidden
might be seen
doors that open
winter’s dream.
Time’s a fashion
stated true
doors that open
giving view.
As an ageless
times desire
doors that open
some admire.
For the moments
life displays
doors that open
give a gaze.
Christmas scenes
then come to be
doors that open
magically.
Snow becomes as
Heavens hue
doors that open
life anew.
Showing signs of
Christmas day
doors that open
show the way.

Winter’s Disguise
A little snow
upon the ground
might hide well
a sight and sound.
Within the scene
might be a day
disguised as time
a whitish way.
A seasons sight
to come in frame
might hold fast
so much to gain.
Winter’s disguise
can hide real well
a Christmas scene
of great detail.
The passing days
of moment’s mind
might uncover
Christmastime.
As the scenes
before our eyes
are no more
winter’s disguise.

This Traveled Road
As wheels will roll
and time moves on
a traveled road
might seem too long.
Winter’s story
beneath the wheels
displays moments
driving thrills.
For the scenery
passing by
this traveled road
as not too shy.
It unleashes
Christmas views
in the landscapes
whitish hues.
This traveled road
has much to say
seeming timeless
in a way.
As the wheels roll
heartbeats sound
seasons greetings
all around.
A point in time
that recreates
life as echoes
different dates.
Minutes passing
change to snow
as we drive
this traveled road.

Evening’s Light
A Christmas story
comes into view
within the evening’s
slight sky of blue.
The minutes pass
as colors bestow
landscapes of time
all covered with snow.
A Christmas delight
of a seasonal way
lights up my life
in wondrous display.
The evening’s colors
are often designed
as that of Christmas
in moments of time.
Sometimes pinkish
is joined with blue
in the evening’s light
as a magical hue.
It is but a moment
that comes and goes
as the evening’s light
blooms like a rose.
Then as the skyline
is left with a haze
the evening’s light
awaits future days.
Just waiting for time
to begin once again
as evening’s light,
a time to transcend.

Looking For Life
So often memories
are washed in a time,
seen as but shadows
of a wondrous design.
Glimmers of moments
that lived another day
might find another
way to display.
Looking for life
in moments you see
you might discover
what can truly be.
A Christmas blessing
from many years ago,
might again blossom
and surely bestow.
Displaying hopeful
from a youthful array
found in a time frame
of one distant day.
A Christmas miracle
that might then unfold
while looking for life
through ages of old.

Christmas Flight
We as birds
will find our way
when flying driving
day to day.
Season’s journey
times become
found as pathways
on the run.
Then as Christmas
comes so near,
songs so wondrous
we will hear.
As a bird flies
we will too
a Christmas flight
for then to view.
Christmas scenes
of life and times
a Christmas flight
will fill our minds.

Within The Snow
One winter’s day
you might behold
some steps within
the snow so cold.
A winter scene
that comes alive
within the snow
that did arrive.
A time of year
that brings in view
that snow of white
to then accrue.
Found as rhythms
a musical scene
within the snow
a winter’s dream.
A Christmas sight
becomes surreal
with snow of white
your hands can feel.
You might see signs
of some little dogs
strolling around
near trees and logs.
Their tiny steps
leave little trails,
those happy dogs
with wagging tails.
They may be found
running to and fro
on Christmas day
within the snow.

Standing In Snow
Beyond the day
might hold a glance
of someone found
a snowy stance.
A beard of white,
fat belly too
standing in snow
a Christmas view.
He might be seen
near Christmas day
to watch and wait
his journey’s way.
His suit of red
is clearly viewed
standing still
to try to elude.
Moving real slowly
with a HoHoHo
it is old Santa
standing in snow.

True To Life
While your worries
bring you down
The Spirit of God
is all around.
God’s Own Glory
through His Son
is always there
and not to shun.
For in the makings
of Christmas day
God’s Son Jesus
was sent our way.
He gives us strength,
what all we need
and then helps out
to plant a seed.
He’s True to life,
He’s my best friend,
He’s always there
to the moments end.
I might have troubles,
I might have pain,
but Jesus is always
with a gain.
He shows me daily
through my trials
ways to live then
find some smiles.
So I thank Him
True to life,
for I’ve now got
a wonderful wife.

Momentous Memories
Life is as a journey
becoming as a phase
counted as seconds
of momentous days.
Finding a memory
to bring back a time
found within seasons
of passion and rhyme.
Momentous memories
are timeless to see
as that of heartbeats
in our own history.
Various turnstiles
will open real wide
to allow our memories
somewhere inside.
Momentous segments
of a time long ago
might then display as
some fresh fallen snow.
A Christmastime scene
of a so distant day
becomes as a memoir
of a magical way.
Momentous memories
are fresh air to breathe,
Christmastime miracles
for ones to believe.
It might be imagined
what a heartbeat sees,
but it can be also
momentous memories.

Haiku
for Dec 23, 2017
Time is a number
that you often cannot see,
but it still exist.
Life as a flower
has blooms of a moments display
and then leaves shadows.
Tomorrows are life
without any guaranties
so do your best now.
The storms of our lives
might hold within them rainbows
to provide some peace.
Sat beside rain clouds
you might feel a drop or two,
to land on your head.
A moment will pass
as procrastination grows
leaving things undone.
Misleading people
can bring you much division
within your beliefs.
Seeking for true love
in the dimness of a bar
could find you much pain.
The challenge of life
might seem as impossible,
but growth can be found.
Without a dewdrop
of mornings of summertime
life might fall away.
Windows of our minds
can display many chances
if we’ll look to see.
Many a Christmas
can become as memories
to help us survive.
Walking in the rain
of a scenic summer day
there is breath of air.
Seed of a flower
becomes as its beginnings
to blossom and grow.
Choice is a moment
that we must deal with actions
if they’re right or wrong.
Deceptions best friend
is someone without conscience
and fear of the truth.
The snow of winter
displays beauty of Christmas
that many don’t see.
When in a snow storm
you might lose your pathway,
but you’ve led a trail.
A violins sound
gives forth its very nature
as heartbeats of love.
Without yesterdays
we would be void of lessons
and hit more brick walls.
Pouring misery
into cups of tomorrow
can hinder your life.
The life of a rose
is that of a bumblebee
as it pollinates.
