ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

Another week has come and gone and I have returned
once again to ramble. Not much new has happened up
this ways. It seems we’re still getting a lot of rain for the
next few days. Talk about weird weather hehehe. The
days have been not too bad temperature wise and even
the nights haven’t been all that cold or at least not as bad
as it has been. There might be a few snow showers in
the days to come, but not today. It’s bright and sunny.
Our neighbors kids were riding their riding lawn mowers
around and around their house just a few moments ago,
so I waited for them to stop before I started my journal.
Looks like they either both ran out of gas or they got
tired of riding in circles LOL. There’s not much that
I can report from the Pearce’s household. It’s still as
boring as always. I’m searching for the true beginning
of the winter snows. Yep, I do love the sight of snow
as it falls from the sky and lands on the ground painting
the days with fluffy white scenes. Though I do get tired
of it by February or thereabouts hehehehe. Especially
when it turns to plain old ice of which I slip and slide
upon in my struggles to get to the mailbox LOL. Oh
well, that’s life hehehe. Judy’s still in bed, but she’s
not sleeping. She’s watching the game show called
Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader. My answer is
nope hehehe. They didn’t have the courses of studies
that they have now back when I was a kid hehehehe.
We didn’t have computers. Matter of fact, I brought
my calculator to school one day and my teacher took
it from me saying we cannot use those in here LOL.
Now they are a requirement as well as computers.
I’ve heard they’re starting kids off in pre school
with computers which I might add they didn’t have
preschool anything when I was a kid. I went from
home straight to the first grade of which consisted of
finger painting and playing music or hehe trying to
play music. That is where I found my love for the
drums. I started on the bongos and went from there.
I slowly found that I also had a knack for poetry
at around that time as well hehehe. I didn’t write
it, I just made up little rhymes time to time off the
top of my head. My old friend Mark thought it
was weird how I could make up poems so quick.
LOL he still thinks the same to this day. Isn’t it
weird how two people could grow up literally as
almost brothers and turn out so differently. We did
everything together. Everybody thought we were
brothers. Hehehe we even did the blood brother
thing where we pricked each others fingers and
you know hehehe. Yep, those were the days.
I am nowadays stuck up here without any nearby
friends. It’s lonely. Yes I have Judy, but that
doesn’t count. She gets to spend a lot of time with
her sisters and all, but I haven’t anyone I can go
to visit being driving nowadays is not my forte due
my eyes being only one () and it gets weak real fast.
Plus, I don’t know my way around these parts very
well and I can’t remember directions riding as a
passenger. I guess I will be OK. I just get lonely.
Yet I’m sure there are many of you that have it
a lot worse than I do, so I try not to pity myself
too much hehehe, but it’s hard at times. I guess
that’s why I am so anxious for the snows to begin.
It’ll give me something to do. I do love to play in
the snow hehehehehehehe, but as of now, it’s just
cold and wet. LOL, I know, stop whining hehehe.
So, on with the journal. Judy and I are still doing
our FarmTown farms on FaceBook. Not much has
changed there. Still no new levels or anything, but
they have added a few new facilities. Now we need
more farms to plant on to provide crop for all of the
new facilities hehehe. We’re still playing our Big
Fish hidden object games although we finished the
one we were playing and have not yet begun another.
We’re trying to decide which one to start playing,
but first giving our brains a rest. She has to do most
of the searching being my only eye gets weak and
blurry quickly. It’s aggravating having only one
good eye and it’s not all that good, but at least I do
have it of which I’m very thankful. We all tend to
forget to be thankful for the things that we take for
granted. Such as our eyesight, smell, taste or even
touch. Yes so often we might also forget that even
walking and talking is to be thankful for. There are
so many out there that cannot do one or the other
or maybe even both. Learn to be thankful for the
things you are able to do each day, such as see
the morning sun and smell the flowers as you take
a walk around the yard. There is so much that we
should be thankful for. So take the time to see all
the blessings that you have and be thankful for
them. Let God help you see all the blessings that
you might have been overlooking. Now with that
said, I reckon it’s time once again for me to be
taking my little venture back through all that I’ve
written here to see if I can find a good word or
phrase that I can use for the title for today’s
new poem. So, it’s away I go to that place of my
recollection that I always refer to each week as
RECOLLECT VILLE. I think I might have
found a good title, but we shall see, mwahaha!

Be Thankful

When you are worried
found in despair
seek for the blessings
God’s love and care.
When you are saddened
crying your tears
seek for remembering
much better years.
When you’re alone
with no one to hold
be thankful for Jesus
and all He foretold.
Learn to be thankful
for so many things
such as the sunshine
and bluebird that sings.
When you are sickly
in coming of days
be thankful for Jesus
and His greatest ways.
Don’t let your sorrows
to be all you do.
Be thankful for blessings
that live within you.

I hope that poem made sense to ya at least a little hehe.
Thanksgiving day is just a week away or so. I thought
maybe this poem would suit it. Yet of course I might do
another one next week hehehe. Oh well, such as it is.
I guess I need to be finishing this so I can fix Judy and
I some late breakfast hehehe. We’re both night owls 🙂
yet I never sleep due to health issues. When Judy and I
met, I was working night shift and had been for the past
30 some odd years off and on. Yep, I’ve always been
a night person. Now I’m a whatever person hehehehe.
I sleep whenever I can grab a catnap. Ok it’s time for
me to begin my search for that elusive off switch, but
not before I tell you what I tell you every week and that
is, I wrote some more poems and haiku. Yeppers 10
more poems with 3 of them Christmassy and one of
them sort of wintery hehehe. I also wrote 22 more
haiku for all of my haiku lovers out there. I hope you
enjoy a few of them one or the other or both hehehe.
Now before I search for that off switch I must wish
you a most wonderful God filled week. Remember,
Jesus loves you and we do too. Now it’s off to find
that off switch. Found it hovering my eyelids trying
to close them 🙂 Gotcha, see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill and Judy Pearce

P.S. I had to wait for Judy to finish watching
the game show Press Your Luck (WHAMMY)
so she could help me edit this mess LOL…..

Now on with the poems and haiku
10 and 22 hehehehehehehehehehe 🙂

This Fine Weather

Weather changes
bring their views
sometimes with some
snow filled shoes.
Seasons play
as songs to sing
on through winter
and to spring.
Weathers paintings
are hung high
in the seasons
daily sky.
Wondrous settings
seem to show
as the weather
gives us snow.
White formations
float and sway
in old winters
Christmas way.
Weather changes
come to be
such as blessings
we can see.
Soft white snowflakes
paint a view
that seems always
so brand new.
This fine weather
seems to shine
that of wondrous
Christmastime.

Personalized Christmases

Some see tomorrow,
some see today,
while they are searching
every which way.
Seeking for Christmas
of their accord
and not what’s best then
from our sweet Lord.
Some seek their personal
settings to shine
sometimes so different
than yours or mine.
Personalized Christmas
of red, blue and green
is sometimes sought to
daily be seen.
Lose that perception,
to daily deploy
and you might find that
God given joy.
Yet let the miracles
twinkle and shine
that of the wonderful
scenes Christmastime.
Show of the manger
Jesus was born
as you’re awaiting
that Christmas morn.
Let all that glimmers
be that of Love
seen as through Christmas
from God above.
Personalized Christmases
should not be found
without the sight of
Jesus around.

Let Not Your Hurries

A minute a moment
counted so true
might need atonement
coming from you.
Sometimes the fractions
that you display
might seem as actions
bitter time sway.
Many a minute
will sometimes show
all that’s within it
that you don’t know.
Playing a fools game
leads to despair
and then what’s displayed
might seem unfair.
Often your daylight
only shows you
what you are seeking,
not what that’s true.
Let not your hurries
to tally your goal,
for they’ll bring worries then
with a large toll.

Simply The Moments

A simple times flavor
tasted on cue
brings back the moments
living in you.
Simply the moments
counted and gained
bring us the heartbeats
that had remained.
Looking through portholes
of yesterday
we might see someone’s
then other way.
Often the changes
that time’s begun
bring us the shadows
of thens distant sun.
Paintings hung sweetly
on our walls of time
bring us the meadows
of heartbeats sublime.
A simple times flavor
might be now tasted
that of a yesterday
we might of wasted.
It’s our perception
of which we remember
that makes much better
the thens burning ember.
Simply some moments
in our memories
are but a fraction
of embers of seas.

November Rains

Seen as raindrops
now today
I see shadows
every way.
November rains
bring their view
as an essence
fresh and new.
Sweet November
gives a show
sometimes seen
as early snow.
November rains
come falling down
bringing moisture
to the ground.
Sweet November
now displays
what’s to be
in future days.
Sights of snowflakes
float with ease
landing on the
grass and trees.
Yet Novembers
days design
now is welcoming
wintertime.
Seen as segues
found in place
November rains
the snows replace.

Sometimes Sorrow

Through our sorrow
we can find
sights tomorrow
peace of mind.
Sometimes sorrow
needs to be
so to set our
minutes free.
Holding sorrow
deep inside
can make problems
to reside.
Let your sorrow
find someone
through the help of
God’s Own Son.
Let not sorrow
destroy you
leaving only
saddened view.
Through releasing
sorrowed ways
you can find
some brighter days.

A Fisherman’s Tale

A story that’s told
as fiction not true
might just become
a moment with you.
A scary story
that someone has shared
might become fuel
for future times scared.
A story repeated
as fishermen’s tales
might become scary
with many details.
Sometimes a story
that someone perceived
might become something
another believed.
So don’t let stories
of fiction or true
lose track of moments
that are within you.
A fisherman’s tale
of how it might seem
could be mistaken
for truth in a dream.

Catching Snowflakes

Catching a snowflake
and tasting its smile
brings me a portion
of wintertime’s while.
Running through snowflakes
as they fall down
I find myself with
an upside down frown.
While catching snowflakes
I fill real good
as I see white snow
in my neighborhood.
Scenes all around me
all covered with white
yet in November
they’re gone before night.
Of course November
in it’s later days
will bring more snowflakes
of which to amaze.
Then catching snowflakes
so tasty divine
I will be daily
in this wintertime.

Look For The Joy

Today’s a day
that time has shown
from the days
that we have known.
Through each today
finds our tomorrows
sometimes with goodness
sometimes with sorrows.
Today’s a day
that God gave free
with our choices
which to be.
Sights and sounds
of each today
are our portions
that display.
Look for the joy
in today’s of time
and let the sadness
fall from your mind.

Through The Window

A window of winter
opened up cold
with all the stories
time has foretold.
A window of Christmas
also in tune
shows through with meanings
coming real soon.
A window of morning
awakens in style
that within winter
with Christmastimes smile.
Now as our windows
open with views
seek for the glory
that Christmas ensues.
Look through the window
and see in the frame
all of the glory
that is Jesus’s Name.

Haiku
for Nov 12, 2011

Losing a second
does not lose the whole hour,
but it is needed.

Scenes in November
show an essence of winter
displayed by snowfall.

Lessons descriptions
come as mistakes that we’ve made
and also others.

Clinging to someone
could suffocate their feelings.
Let them choose to stay.

Today’s directions
are the fuel for tomorrow,
so watch where you turn.

Bringing someone pain
due to yesterdays hatred
can backfire on you.

The ghost’s of today
are shadows of yesterday
filled with memories.

Linking hopeful times
with only fragmented dreams
could bring you nightmares.

Tomorrows we see
are sometimes just illusions
painted with our fears.

Errors in people
are often seen as bold print,
not that important.

Sometimes solutions
that we’ve come to understand
are just more problems.

The pages we turn
might not have been read clearly,
so look back to see.

Mimicking others
leaves yourself to be mimicked
as anger resides.

Forgetting loved ones
could find you alone one day
so remember friends.

Mornings are displayed
as early shadows of time
counted with sunlight.

Written as stories
are our ongoing lifestyles
that others can see.

The sound of beauty
is heard throughout our visions
and heartbeats of time.

Predicting minutes
might conjure up some problems
that might not of been.

Looking hard at then
could cause now to elude you
and bring you sadness.

Thinking causes pain
when you know not what is right
and what that is wrong.

While blinking midnight,
a VCR shows ones knowledge
of how to set it.

The flowers of spring
are just memories in time
that soon will return.
