It’s Been Known

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

It’s been unseasonably warm this winter
so far,  but I’m pretty sure that will change
as the days move forward.  This week has
a forecast of ice and snow.  Don’t yet know
how much though.  My weather alert says
4 to 6 inches of snow,  but as I have said
before,  that could all change to more or
less at the drop of a hat hehehe.  I do hope
that this year isn’t the one that we end up
without a white Christmas being that my
daughter and granddaughter are coming
up and wanting to see snow.  It would be
a bummer.  We’ve had a white Christmas
for the past 8 years that we have lived up
here.  Oh well,  it’s not like we have any
control over the weather.  It might snow.
It’s been known to snow on Christmas Eve.
Judy just told me that technically it’s still
fall until December 22.  Oh well,  Jamye
is planning on staying until the 28th so I’m
sure they will get to see some snow.  I’m
still banking on a white Christmas.  None
the less I’m sure it will be great.  OK,  so
onto the next topic.  I took a few pictures
of the boys running and playing in the snow
earlier last week.  They had a blast.  Rocky
seems to love the snow just as much as his
brother Benny.  Yep,  it seems that we have
2 snow dogs.  Judy and I took a drive up to
Presque Isle Tuesday to go to the super
Walmart and get us some new tires and
I took pictures all the way there as I always
do hehehe.  I also took a scenic drive by
myself Wednesday and found some great
places to stop and take pictures.  Most of
them were just a few miles from where
we live.  As you probably know,  I love to
take pictures and I’m sure there will be
more to take pictures of as winter grabs
a footing.  This has been an odd winter
and it’s taking a little longer to show its
face,  but I’m sure it will expose itself in
due time hehehe.  All of the previous snow
melted away by about Friday or so,  but it
will be back,  I guarantee it.   Right now
my Windows 8.1 PC is installing that
darned Windows 10 on it.  I’ve already
tried it out and uninstalled it,  but it’s
chosen to update on its own,  so it looks
like I will be uninstalling it after it has
finished installing LOL.  Windows 10
sucks.  More of my programs will not
work using it.  At least Windows 8.1
works with a few of them.  Still it has
that email problem that makes me not
use it for my main PC.  Windows 8.1
nor Windows 10 will let me install my
Outlook Express on them and that is
the only email program that seems to
work for me,  so I will continue using
this PC that has Windows XP Pro on it.
I don’t need all those Windows updates.
They’re most times just memory hogs
anyways.  I have my other programs
that will keep it safe and operating as
it should be,  so who needs their updates.
Don’t they realize that in general,  many
people cannot afford Windows 10 or
to upgrade their PC’s so that Windows
10 will work on them.   The same with
Windows 8.  They both require many
PC hardware updates that a lot of us
can’t afford.  I think Microsoft needs
to let people choose which program
that they want to run.  I HATE version
10.  I also hate version 8.1,  but it’s
better than 10 LOL.  Ok,  so enough
with my ranting about Microsoft hehehe.
I made Judy,  I and the boys breakfast
just a bit ago and had to stop and eat,
but I’m done now.  The boys are doing
OK.  Rocky seems to always want to
be the center of attention 🙂   Benny
is begging for treats from Judy hehehe.
Rocky lets Benny do the begging and
then reaps the rewards.  Benny has
a weird way of begging.  He talks in
many different octaves.  He can sort
of pronounce words such as I love
you and Mama along with I want 🙂
LOL,  we would end up with a gabby
one wouldn’t we.  Milo used to do
the talking,  but he didn’t talk near
as much as Benny.  No matter,  we
love these boys.  There’s not much
else that has gone on around here this
passed week.  The Hand of God has
been watching over us as always and
providing what we are unable to do
for ourselves.  My sister is still needing
your prayers.  The doctors said her
cancer isn’t spreading and so they’re
setting up a schedule to do whatever
needs to be done in January.  I don’t
think they’ll do radiation again being
she has already been through that with
the first bout with the cancer in 1999.
In any case,  please keep Peggy in your
prayers.  Her birthday was Dec 6 and
I wrote her a birthday poem and put
it into a picture that she can frame.
I wish I could be there for you Peggy,
but as I’ve said many times,  prayer
travels many miles.  Hang in there sis.
God is always in control.  So,  now
I reckon it’s time for me to begin my
search back through all that I have
written here,  to see if I can find a good
word or phrase that I can use for the
title of today’s brand new poem.  So
it’s away I go to that little place of my
recollection that I always like to call
RECOLLECT VILLE.  I think I may
have stumbled upon a decent title near
the beginning of my rambling.  Now to
see if I can do anything with it hehehe.
Here goes……Blast off

It’s Been Known

Those times we remember,
those times we recall,
it’s been known to be seen with
the same spring to fall.
Each and every moment
that we might see today,
will be somehow be found now
a remembered display.
Yet so many times we look back
and search to find true,
we are often just remembering
our dismembered view.
It’s been known to be saddening
with times that you miss,
as you might just so often
sit around and reminisce.
Let the times you’ve been happy
to be found it’s been known
as you strive on your journey
for more to be flown.
More days of happiness
that are found from within,
for it’s been known truly,
that with God it can begin.

Well,  there ya go.  I hope I didn’t bore you
too much with my PC ranting LOL,  but if
I did,  well there ya go,  I’m human hehehe.
Benny almost made me wet myself when he
jumped up and started barking and ran out
of the room headed for the front door LOL.
It turned out that he was barking at nothing
AGAIN.  He hears our neighbors and thinks
he’s gotta protect us from them.  Problem
is,  our neighbors are quite a distance from
our house LOL.  Benny is our little overly
active doorbell/security alarm.  What would
we do without him hehehe?  He’s now lying
in his doggy bed right beside me.  Rocky is
lying under Judy’s chair using the legs of
her chair as a pillow hehehe.  We love our
little boys.  Well I reckon it’s time for me to
tell you what I tell you almost every week
and that is,  I wrote some more poems and
haiku.  Yep,  10 more poems,  but this time
9 of them are Christmas poems hehehehe.
I also wrote 22 more haiku for all of the
haiku lovers out there.  I hope you can
find 1 or 2 of either or both that you like.
Now,  I guess it’s time for me to begin my
search for that not so elusive off switch,
but not before I wish you a most wonderful
weekend or whatever is left of it and a
blessings filled week.  Remember,  Jesus
loves you and we do too.  OK,  so where
are ya hiding this week ya ornery little
whippersnapper?  LOL,  I think I spy
a piece of lumpy paper that should not
have no lumps at all.  I see ya hiding
under the Walmart tire receipt hehehe.
I almost didn’t see ya,  but you coughed.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

P.S.  Happy birthday Peggy (sis).  I love you.

Now it’s on with the poems and haiku
10 and 22 hehehehehehehehehehe 🙂

Christmas Beginnings

Seasons with journeys,
spring unto winter
Christmas beginnings
come front and center.
The stage is well formed
as time is begun
Christmas beginnings
with Christmas songs sung.
All of the wonders
of every display
Christmas beginnings
can be every day.
Great times of blessings
with our memories
Christmas beginnings
are then as the leaves.
Sometimes found rustling
as time goes around
Christmas beginnings
will always be found.
Maybe with snowflakes
falling to Earth
Christmas beginnings
speak Jesus’ birth.
Then with the stage set
of hopeful for free
Christmas beginnings
display history.
Within a manger
the time is begun
Christmas beginnings
show of God’s Son.
Then as time moves on
and Lord Jesus shines
Christmas beginnings
are the greatest of times.

Leftover Magic

As December’s magic
is shadows we see
the new year begins with
blessings for free.
Though many blessings
might not seem so clear
and left over magic
might fade in the year.
Sometimes that magic
is lost in our heart
seen as a memory
time frames apart.
That leftover magic
can still come alive
if you will let it
to daily survive.
Don’t let your journeys
to lose track of time
and discern Christmas
as just in your mind.
It is a moment
that can live and breathe
with left over magic
if you will believe.

Snowflakes Illusions

Lost in a whirlwind
the snowflakes will blow
some as illusions
that seem to just grow.
So many snowflakes
fall from above
to float down so graceful
and show us their love.
Snowflakes illusions
might look like a sheet
coming in waves
to land at my feet.
Some make snow ice cream
and some have a plan
to roll up so nicely
and make a snowman.
These are the memories
sometimes as elusions
hard to catch surely
as snowflakes illusions.
Christmas with magical
white snow of time
creating some wonders
that are so divine.
Snowflakes illusions
can be anything
a Christmastime flake
in songs that we sing.
Yet they are wondrous
those snowflakes I see
and not all illusions
that are happy and free.
Some are as pages
of books that we read
snowflakes illusions
that seem to plant seed.
Christmastimes joy
in a wondrous detail
aren’t snowflakes illusions,
but magic set sail.

Sitting Up In bed

The sweet eve of Christmas
is now on my mind
as I count the minutes
till that wondrous time.
It seems that I’m restless
and searching for snow,
while sitting up in bed
and looking to and fro.
The minutes pass slowly
and time moves along
while sitting up in bed
just singing a song.
A song about Jesus
and a little drummer boy,
a song about Santa
and oh so much joy.
I think of all the wonders
that Christmas entails
while sitting up in bed
and biting my nails.
I then lay my head down
and try to go to sleep
as I start counting
those bushy white sheep.
Those sheep turn to snow
as dreams in my head
and I wake up again
just sitting up in bed .

A Tiny Speck

A small amount
of hope so true
can create
a better you.
Letting blessings
find your heart
a tiny speck
will help you start.
The smallest grain
of hope and love
can be more
than push and shove.
A tiny speck
of God for free
can change you
and what ones see.
The passageways
that ones forget
are what can come
from a tiny speck.
A little hopeful
from within
a tiny speck
can then begin.

Your Souls Desire

Dreams of Christmas
and its flame,
your souls desire
might attain.
But it needs some
Jesus love
come from Heaven
up above.
Your souls desire
might fall prey
to the wants
a wrongful way.
Christmas gifts
without a heart
your souls desire
falls apart.
Look within
your souls desire
and see what burns
your truthful fire.
Let God’s glow
find you with praise
your souls desire
better days.

The Look Of Christmas

That sight within minds
that many don’t see
is the look of Christmas
in you and in me.
So often we might just
fear to show true
that very special look
that’s in me and you.
Don’t let your spirit
to just hide away.
Give the look of Christmas
in your every day.
Sure there are others
that are not as the same,
they celebrate the day,
but not the same name.
Also there are many
that do not at all
celebrate Christmas
that you might appall.
But remember now truly
what we are to do
and love one another
though different our view.
We are God’s children
though different we sway
so keep the look of  Christmas
within your own way.
Love Jesus truly
the way that He meant
for the look of Christmas
is still Heaven sent.

Passageways

So many passageways
through our own minds
will lead us in directions
to so many times.
Wintertime’s doorways
of which December paves
finds scenes of Christmas
in those passageways.
Driving down the road
in those Christmassy nights
there are some passageways
with many lights.
Colors all a gleaming
of red, green and blue,
while we drive around
to look at the view.
Passageways of twinkles
that glisten so fine
are often with the essence of
Christmas devine.

Snow For Christmas

My heart seeks signs
of Christmas snow,
in hopes by Christmas
it will flow.
Snow for Christmas
great to see,
to build a snowman
fancy free.
A simple sight
of flakes to fall,
which to land
and cover all.
Snow for Christmas
I seek true,
each flake falling
quite a few.
Now I’m dreaming
wide awake,
snow for Christmas
to partake.
Reaching out to
catch of few,
snowflakes falling
in my view.
Snow for Christmas
is my wish,
for them falling
sway and swish.
Christmas hopefuls
song and dance,
snow for Christmas
in advance.

Beside The Fireplace

Together with family
right by the fire,
Christmas was burning
so full of desire.
The smell of food cooking
that soon we would eat,
beside the fireplace
where we would meet.
My cousin there with me
as we would just play,
beside the fireplace
day after day.
Those wonderful moments
my grandparents shown,
beside the fireplace
now are just known.
Memories living
of Christmas so great,
singing and playing
I did so elate.
Now those days are gone,
but they live deep inside,
times beside the fireplace
Christmas applied.

Haiku
for Dec 12,  2015

Hurry is problem
when you cannot keep your stride
and you hurt someone.

The many storm clouds
that we might see as problems,
might be our blessings.

A sound in the night
that is hidden from your view
could be what’s misheard.

As days move forward
they leave portions of themselves
found in tomorrow.

Escaping the truth
cannot be done by lying,
for the truth will win.

Beneath an action
there’s often motivation
either good or bad.

Various people
leave their feelings covered up
and explode often.

Within a moment
holds many choices to make
with a few mistakes.

Lost in a whirlwind
a flower seed might be found,
but still find its life.

Inflated egos
will often be found alone
as time goes its way.

Flourishing heartbeats
might one day find companions
if they are patient.

Today’s guiding light
could be angels in disguise
in form of your friends.

A cloud passes by
leaving a few memories
if you sought to see.

Believing needs faith
for many things we can’t see
are in existance.

The branch of a tree
might look as though it is dead,
but still have some life.

There’s still a blue sky
even if you can’t see it,
for it hides from view.

As the moon moves on
it reflects its bright glimmer
as shadows of night.

The dawn of morning
brings many new sights to see
if we look for them.

Nearing tomorrow
are the minutes and seconds
that are connecting.

Born to imagine,
it helps us each to create
from what that’s not there.

A bird that’s in flight
might lose itself in a cloud
and find a rainbow.

The stars that twinkle
have only their memories
to shine in the night.
