For The Most Part

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

Judy and I have been keeping tabs on the
hurricane that hit the south.  It looks like
Harvey did more destruction than anyone
had thought possible.  Our hearts go out
to all of the ones that were in its path and
found themselves in the crosshairs of the
storm.  So,  I guess it’s onwards with the
journal.  This passed week has been good.
Not much has happened within these walls.
Nope the Pearce’s Place has been but only
busy with painting and poetry writing.  I’ve
written 132 poetry pictures so far for book
number 5. Just a few more and I’ll be ready
to put them in a book and publish 🙂  So,
what else have we been up to?  Well Judy
and I have ordered us a new snow blower.
It’s a bit more of what I need than the one
I bought a couple of years ago.  That one
was more of a snow shovel that  blew the
snow out in front of you.  So I guess you
can figure that was not so swift hehehehe.
Oh yea,  Last Thursday (Aug 31) was my
birthday and Judy and I did as we do every
year and went out to eat at the Governor’s
Restaurant in Presque Isle Maine.  It was
a good day.  My Governor’s Card had 18
dollars on it 🙂  They put 7 dollars on it for
my birthday 🙂 and I had 11 dollars saved
on it from last year,  so they paid for half
of our meal 🙂  That made for an awesome
birthday.  I took a lot of pictures to and
from Presque Isle.  Also Friday,  Judy’s
sister Barbara had a doctors appointment
so Judy and her other sisters all rode
down with her and while she was gone I
took the boys (Benny and Rocky) with me
to town to pay the electric bill and then
stopped off at the Houlton Bridge and
got out to take a few pictures.  After that
I took a drive by Walmart and did some
grocery shopping.  The boys enjoyed the
ride.  When we got home,  I got out our
weed eater and did a little weed eating 🙂
until the battery died and I had to put it
on the charger.  It was actually a miracle
that it had held a charge since last year.
Our landlord had hired someone to take
care of most of the weed eating and lawn
mowing but it seems that they must of
quit.  Anyways,  onto yet another topic
that involves our landlord.  He had a bad
wreck down in southern Maine (Fairfield)
and I believe he’s still in the hospital.  He
had multiple broken vertebrae,  a broken
neck and broken leg in multiple places.
So all I know other than that is that he’s in
a body cast.   We had thought they had said
he was home,  but we may have misheard.
No matter.  I spoke with my new neighbor,
Matt the other day and he said he would
tell Calvin that he would finish up with the
house addition.  Matt’s a carpenter. So,
it looks like we might finally get that done.
It sure would be nice to have the porch
all finished and wired up so we could start
using it as we’ve been wanting to.  Time
will tell.  So,  what else is happening that
is news worthy, from up here that is LOL?
It looks like God is still watching over us.
We have our share of daily problems,  but
for the most part ,  we are doing well 🙂
Thank You God for always staying with
us,  guiding us and showing Your love and
mercy.  So now I guess it’s time for me to
begin my search back through all that I’ve
written here to see if I can find a good word
or phrase that I can use for the title for
today’s brand new poem.  So,  it’s away I
go to that place of my recollection that I
always like to call RECOLLECT VILLE 🙂
I think I may have found a decent title just
a few lines back and now after searching
I see that I have not used it as of yet,  so
used it shall be 🙂  Here goes…

For The Most Part

In life comes struggles
of a different degree,
some as a blessing
and some you can’t see.
Yet for the most part
there’s lessons to learn
found in the struggles
that we then discern.
Time can be angry
as pages are torn
found as a journal
that might seem forlorn.
Yet as a windmill
the grains of life thrive
found for the most part
to keep us alive.
Don’t let the problems
of yesterdays find
you just reliving them
time after time.
Take a little time
for a prayer now today
then for the most part
you’ll be OK.

There ya go.  I hope you liked the poem.
Also I hope you enjoyed my rambling 🙂
If I bored ya to sleep,  then at least ya got
a nap LOL.  There’s not much else to tell
you other than what I tell you every week
and that is,  I wrote some more poems and
haiku.  Yeppers,  10 more poems with an
added extra 3 to up the count to ye ole 13.
There are 4 Christmas poems in the mix 🙂
Also I wrote 22 more haiku for all of the
haiku lovers out there.  I hope you can
find 1 or 2 of either or both that you like.
Now I believe it’s time for me to begin my
search for that hardly elusive off switch,
but not before I wish you a wonderful
weekend or whatever there is left of it and
a truly blessings filled week.  Remember,
Jesus loves you and we do too.  Now, to
find that ornery off switch.  Where could
it be hiding this time????  Hmm,  it seems
that I see a little reflection in my eyeglass
cleaner bottle.  Yep,  there ya are hiding
behind a CLEAR bottle of lens cleaner.
Do you ever freaking think about where
you are going to hide or do you just say,
That’ll do?????? LOL.  Well anyways,
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

Old Time Memories

Back in the day
when snow was not seen
Christmases were still
the best of a dream.
Those times long ago
we drove to and fro
on Christmassy nights
with lights without snow.
We drove everywhere
that lights would gleam
those old time memories
now but a dream.
Scented with Christmas
and love in the air
we drove around town
with a Christmassy flair.
Songs on the radio
were so full of cheer
as they played on and on
this time of the year.
Christmastime ballads
with joyful  inlays
singing of Frosty
those Christmassy days.
Sounds would echo
as Heaven and Earth
the sweetest to hear
of Jesus Christ’s birth.
The music would waft
as a sweet ocean breeze
songs about Christmas
old time memories.

Scenes After Christmas

White snow is glistening
as the season displays
scenes after Christmas
those wonderful days.
Me with my camera
just walking around
seeking for Christmas
in scenes that are found.
Wonderful blessings
as snowflakes are seen
found then so magical
a Christmastime dream.
Just like a journal
that’s written in time
scenes after Christmas
are the greatest design.
Found in our memories
are oceans of style
scenes after Christmas
with a seasonal smile.

Painted With Life

Seen by the way
of a roadside of time
you might perceive
a country design.
Painted with life
as cattle will trod
scenes of a moment
given from God.
Time might echo
of another day
a time remembered
but a little grey.
Scenes of the past
that now come clear
painted with life
of a yesteryear.
God given moments
that ease the strife
found on the wayside
painted with life.

Wintertime’s Ways

Often a doorway
a passage of time
will form a moment
of winter design.
Seen within snow
as time goes its way
becoming a window
a Christmas display.
Life is a morsel
of Heaven divine
wintertime’s ways
of a moment in time.
Found as a blessing
a picture portrays
Christmastime’s scenes
in wintertime’s ways.

Under Water

Misconceptions
moments viewed
might leave many
so confused.
Under water
things might seem
as a moments
rushing stream.
Just a churning
atmosphere
at the moment
not so clear.
Let your eyes to
find some peace.
allowing rushing
then to cease.
Under water
might just be
your perception
that you see.
Let the minutes
find more clear
under water
atmosphere.

Seascape Journeys

Assorted times
within our view
might just be
a sea of blue.
Seascape journeys
far and wide
letting lessons
come inside.
As the sails
of seasons light
seascape journeys
come in sight.
Times of beauty,
times of pain,
times of rainbows
after rain.
Life is portioned
times details
seascape journeys
weathered sails.

Looking At Lights

A Christmas drive
a time ago
was seen so great
with much to show.
Scenes as special
memories
lights of Christmas
on the trees.
With Santa Claus
and a sleigh of bells
looking at lights
shows great details.
Even a snow globe
seen so alive
made this a special
Christmas drive.
It’s now remembered
magical sights
seen while driving
looking at lights.

Traveling Mind

Lost in a whirlwind
moments of time
brings forth conclusions
a traveling mind.
Life begins spinning
as echoes release
and that is the moment
in need of some peace.
A traveling mind
on roads tar or gravel
might show some signs
that lifetimes unravel.
Leaving but a glimpse
of a moment or two
found on your journey
with a dismal view.
Allow God The Father
to help you to find
peace on your journey
with your traveling mind.

Moonlight

Life of hurries
finds its place
in the moonlight
with much haste.
Not allowing
time to be
in the moonlight
peacefully.
Let the moonlight
find its glow
as it shines on
all you know.
Time can be
with less of pain
as the moon
shows its domain.
Such as shadows
in the night
peaceful settings
in moonlight.

Reflecting Memories

Our days that pass
become a view
a memory
that once was new.
Seasons pathways
create a time
painted with colors
that seem to rhyme.
Looking on through
to the memories
a watery passage
might seem as the seas.
Waves of echoes
that create a view
are blessings from God
from a sky of blue.
Reflecting memories
of a time long ago
can one day appear
as the worlds best show.

Weeping Willow

Life and times
a certain array
becomes a life
of another day.
A weeping willow
of song and dance
becomes a show
of given chance.
Minutes pass
and leave in view
a weeping willow
of thereunto.
A mere memory
of whose and whys
leave many with
tears in their eyes.
A weeping willow
of times regrets
that many now
the reason forgets.
The seasons of life
we fill up with woe
are us acting like
a weeping willow.

Walk Of Mind

When your struggles
become too grand
take a little walk
through dreamers sand.
Allow your mind
to display a place
a mindful journey
with an awesome taste.
A little walk of mind
to a scenic style
that for a moment
gives you a smile.
Don’t let the moments
to steal your peace.
Tuck it away
in the cosmic seas.
Allow the moments
to drift away
into a seasons
wonderful day.
Take a little breather
with God divine
and find blessings
with a walk of mind.

Orbs Of Life

Found in heartbeats
might be flames
orbs of life
with distant names.
Seen as circular
thoughts of times
orbs of life
are as ones minds.
Life of a spirit
seen in the dark
orbs of life
have much to embark.
Maybe a moment
as a mere memory
orbs of life
just wish we could see.
Found as destiny
written in a book
orbs of life
we might of mistook.
Life after death
in sunshine’s array,
orbs of life
are another day.

Haiku
for Sept 2,  2017

We are the counters
that fill moments with numbers
that don’t need counted.

Searching for roses
might uncover many thorns
that might pierce your heart.

Change is a moment
that can become bad or good
with situations.

A true beating heart
that is filled full of passion
will discover love.

Life finds disaster
when occasions open doors,
but peace can be found.

Fall leaves of autumn
become hardships for many
that are groundskeepers.

Years become journeys
leaving footprints of our lives
found as memories.

Lost down a byway
your past days might seem better
than they really were.

A raging river
might expand beyond its banks
due to much water.

Indecisive thoughts
can become troubles doorway
allowing a storm.

Simply believing
is not the answer for peace,
one must have actions.

Beyond the starlight
lives another point of view
that we may not know.

A flower’s design
will change within the seasons
as repetition.

Inside a rainbow
are the colors of Heaven
to promise us peace.

Peer pressure of life
can make many to do things
that is not their style.

A spinning turnstile
could find you in misery
without decisions.

The hope of a rose
is as petals of our lives
that can grow beauty.

Starting too quickly
can become a bumpy journey
that we’re unprepared.

Various flowers
are but only weeds of life
showing their beauty.

Now is a painting
that God has not finished yet,
for He has more plans.

Many distractions
will often slow down our steps
and they might save us.

Perspective is life
as our views might not connect,
but we can still love.
