Be Honest

Hello my friends

I hope you have been doing well.  We’re
hanging in there.  The weather for a few
days (2 days) was in the mid 80’s but now
it’s back to the 60’s and tomorrow’s high
is supposed to be 57 F with Tuesday’s high
at around 47 F LOL.  It’s pretty much the
norm for up here hehehe.  We had to use
our portable AC for the 2 days that the
temperature was in the 80’s.  Too warm
for me.  I mowed around our house the
other day and then the next day I did a
little weed eating with our weed eater 🙂
Though the grass is already growing and
it will be time to mow again LOL.  But,
our new ION 40 volt lawn mower works
great.  I couldn’t be happier,  unless of
course somebody mowed it for me LOL.
We’ve noticed due to the nice weather
that there are a lot of people out mowing
their lawns.  It’s been beautiful weather.
We had a bit of rain around Friday of
last week which cooled it down from the
80’s to the 60’s,  It’s those old hot as
Hades days that I do not miss in Texas.
Nope,  I prefer it a bit cooler 🙂  Yeppers,
I believe I’ll stay up here where pavement
doesn’t melt in the summertime hehehe.
LOL so much for the weather related
part of my rambling.  Next topic.  Well,
yesterday Judy and I went to get our
car inspected at VIP but they couldn’t
get to it,  so they set up an appointment
for us today at 2 PM and we killed 2
birds with one stone hehehe.  Chances
girl friend Danika got off work at 2 PM
from McDonald’s which was right across
the street from VIP hehehe.  So we had
it done,  but of course our front brakes
and rotors were needing replaced along
with our air filter.  It was still a pretty
decent price with inspection and all at
$357.17.  Last year we had new back
brakes done at York’s,  but I decided to
take it to VIP this year to seek a better
price and I believe I got one 🙂  Now,
all we need to do is get the car registered
and we’ll be good for another year. The
insurance has been paid.  So what else
is going on around The Pearce’s Place?
Well,  to be honest,  it’s been rather slow
aside from taxiing our grandson and his
girlfriend around hehehe.  Of course we
don’t mind,  but we will be glad when
they get them another vehicle 🙂  They’re
doing their best.  We love them,  but we
know our car doesn’t need those extra
miles on it 🙂  I’m sure it’ll all be OK.
God is always watching over us.  I’m
also quite sure there are many angels
watching over us as well.  We’ll keep
on doing the best that we can.  That’s
all that anyone can ask.  So,  I reckon
it’s time for me to be looking back on
all that I’ve written here to see if I can
find a good word or phrase that I can
use for the title for today’s brand new
poem.  So it’s away I go,  to that place
of my recollection that I always like to
call RECOLLECT VILLE.  I think I
found a good title just a few lines back
and now after checking I see that it has
not been used yet,  so used it shall be.
Here goes…

Be Honest

Don’t let your fear
to prevent what’s true
as life displays times
that envelop you.
Hold to the truth
of a moment’s time
and don’t allow
a untruthful mind.
Be honest in life
as minutes pass by
even if the truth
is a gray colored sky,
but don’t be so cold
to tell ones you see
a fact that needs not
be an honest degree.
Some need a smile
and a little untruth
to help them get by
when life is uncouth.
Some need the beauty
of a heart of gold
to be honest at times
with truth untold.

There ya go.  I hope you liked the poem
and maybe even understood it.  Also,  I
hope you enjoyed my rambling.  I know,
I rambled about the weather a little too
much didn’t I LOL.  Oh well,  it didn’t
kill ya to read it did it hehehe!  So at the
moment it’s 63 F degrees at 6 PM.  Not
too bad huh.  I just went to see if Benny
was ready to come back in.  He loves to
sit out on the front steps and watch the
day pass by.  Rocky though prefers to
sit in here and watch us LOL.  Though
he does start missing Benny and then
he starts pestering us to check on him.
LOL they are true brothers from other
mothers and fathers.  So I guess it’s time
for me to be telling you what I tell you
every week and that is,  I wrote some
more poems and haiku.  Yeppers,  10
more poems.  Nope no extras and no
Christmas poems this week.  Maybe
next week.  I also wrote 22 more haiku
for all of the haiku lovers out there 🙂
I hope you can find 1 or 2 of either or
both that you like.  Now I believe it’s
time for me to begin my search for that
hardly elusive off switch,  but not before
I wish you a wonderful weekend or what
that is left of it and a truly blessing filled
week.  Remember,  Jesus loves you and
we do too.  OK,  so where can that off
switch be hiding this time?  Hmm,  so
where could that ornery thing be hiding
LOL?  I see ya you lil varmint hahaha.
Hiding once again behind my K2 meter.
That didn’t work for you in the past,  so
why do it again Hahaha.  Oh,  so you
were trying to act like a ghost.  Well you
didn’t set it off.  I just saw ya peeking
out like always.  Look for a better hiding
spot next week will ya.  That one was silly.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

Discolored Views

When we discover
a tainted array
we might envision
an unhopeful day.
Yet within prayerful
time can begin
changes of colors
less then of sin.
Discolored views
might be as a yarn
told as a story of
an old rusty barn.
Moments within it
might sort of fade
into other colors
of a different shade.
Yet ones that see it
may only see lies
colors of existence
filled with demise.
For as the story goes
time is but seen
discolored views
found not so serene.
Beyond our eyes
may be our thoughts
life’s conclusions
a little bit lost.
So don’t be quick
to determine news,
for it might be just
discolored views.

A Summer’s Stroll

A beach side day
one summer’s morn
a stroll of passion
is surely born.
The scene begins
with time and place
walking your dog
with a smiling face.
A summer’s stroll
in summer’s sand
that brings in view
a time so grand.
A moment’s blessing
that surely flows
as time displays
what then unfolds.
Just like Heaven
a wonderful scene
a summer’s stroll
seems like spring.

Clouds That See

Just like a breath
that times expose
a cloud displays
all that it knows.
A moment’s life
is then conceived
just like a cloud
that we perceived.
It might look like
some clouds of eyes
as life moves on
in moments skies.
Clouds that see
might be a phase
a time we find
on summer’s days.
But then the eyes
of clouds of time
might just blink
another design.
Becoming a scene
of life’s parade
that floats up high
that God has made.
Each cloud shows
its own degree
of life and times
for you and me.
So many fear
the grayish skies
as clouds that see
display surprise.

Another day
another time
becomes a scene
that may remind.
It might just be
a passing view
a scene of life
in thereunto.
A field of gold
and clouds of gray
might become
a great display.
As life goes on
and time unfolds
we might find
what life beholds.
Our destiny
of moments doors
might expose
so many chores.
Such as time
within our grasp
minutes gained
and needed task.
A field of peace
that you passed by
may hold the truth
and reason why.
There might be
a sight to see
that was then
your destiny.

Sky Of Life

Inside a thought
a time might grow
a place beyond
you used to know.
A sky of life
with scenes of blue
within the sky
and cloudy hue.
It might become
a refreshing scene
a time and place
that you have seen.
A sky of life
becomes enjoyed
a place that holds
what’s now a void.
It might be found
again one day
amidst the sky
and clouds of gray.
By turning blue
like once before
they’ll allow you in
to dream once more.
An unfathomed sky
with time so sweet
and clouds of blue
in summer’s heat.
It then might give
a slight array
of a sky of life
in the light of day.

When Feeling Blue

Times that pass
may leave a frown
a place you loved
that’s not around.
Look deep within
and find that place,
that moment’s time
a smiling face.
Don’t let the blues
to take you over,
look for dreams
in fields of clover.
Allow that time
to come to be
to cease the blue
and set you free.
Find the beauty
in now and then
and then allow
smiles to begin.
Seek the blessings
to help you through
and find the joy
when feeling blue.

Life Caves In

As structures weaken
and time moves on
things we’ve held onto
might soon be gone.
Leaving but a memory
of a time in the past
as our life caves in
just a little too fast.
We need to look up
and say a little prayer
for Lord God’s help
to send love and care.
Don’t let the troubles
that moments reveal
to become all you see
in your life’s windowsill.
Take a little breather
and look for a place
a time you remember
of a smiling face.
Let it to revive you
and enlighten your soul
as a moment caves in
and time takes its toll.
Look for the lessons
that time taught to you
as your life caves in
to expose another view.
For the past is a teacher
to help us to begin
learning from the times
that our life caves in.

A Grassy Knoll

Looking fast
to on beyond
life might show
a certain lawn.
A grassy knoll
a wondrous view
that is seen
from old to new.
A timeless sight
of life’s embrace
with your eyes
and smiling face.
A grassy knoll
with certain style
that gives way
to a little smile.
A scene of life
of a passing day
that time begins
its wondrous way.
Just like a dream
of an old red barn
a grassy knoll
displays its charm.
It’s like a scene
from a story book
a time that awaits
another look.
It is a moment
that falls in place
to give your eyes
a certain taste.
A day’s sunrise
begins the view
a dream alive
from old to new.
It turns to words
of a story told
a mere memoir
of a grassy knoll.

Our Journey’s

Through life we might
discover a time
a moment uncovered
a wonderful rhyme.
It might create thoughts
of another day
as a lemon turned lime
in a magical way.
Filled full of blessings
that time might expose
our journey’s within
as a sweet smelling rose.
We might see a field
that encompasses sight
displaying differences
wrong unto right.
With God’s Guidance
through thick and thin
our journey’s unite
to again begin.
Turning into lifestyles
from old to anew
learning many lessons
of new things to do.
Fields might open wide
to display certain things
lifestyles enhanced
that seem like a dream.
Then as time passes
we might then set sail
our journey’s of life
with a different detail.

Looking into life
a glimmer of time
one can imagine
what they can find.
A sight of beauty
a sight of peace
imagining minutes
a moment’s release.
Life can be magic
as a magician creates
with scenes in life
a heartbeat elates.
Painted as a photo
as time’s memory
imagining places
we wish now to see.
Such as back when
our years of younger
imagining minutes
that we now hunger.
Time is a porthole
that comes and goes
displaying fractions
a moment bestows.
Created from seconds
that turn into hours
time’s we remember
a moment empowers.
Thinking of childlike
ways way back when
when imagining life
when ours did begin.

Time is a number
that many cannot count,
but yet they feel it.

Moments of our lives
often become memories
that we find regret.

The leaves of autumn
are emotional colors
showing how they feel.

Evolving heartbeats
can become as tender love
or hate for the past.

When in a rainstorm
you might only feel raindrops
when life is amidst.

Changing perspective
needs a different viewpoint
on what you’re seeing.

As the clouds will form
they bring about some changes
that we might not see.

Nighttime awakens
when daylight has found its place
to breathe on the stars.

Need of a rainbow
is that of a refraction
of the sun and rain.

Lost on a journey
you can find your directions,
by asking questions.

Many will still lie
even if the truth is better,
because they’re liars.

Shadows of ourselves
are in people that see us
and respond to us.

Throughout our doorways
we will find many problems
that have solutions.

Beyond the glimmer
of a bright and sunny day
lives hope to survive.

Meaningless chatter
can be teachers of patience
for those that listen.

The midnight hours
might only be a moment
that ones fear the most.

Allowing hatred
to become all that you are
will spawn loneliness.

The need of true love
can often shun true friendship
and not allow growth.

Counting your hardships
can lose focus of your strengths
and leave you with tears.

Staring at the sun
will put your vision at risk
the same as troubles.

As the day passes
it leaves echoes of itself
found as memories.

Hardships of others
might seem real easy for you,
but you are not them.
