ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

It’s been another week gone by as we’ve
reached the mid portion of September 🙂
The passed week has been without much
other than me getting my Shingles virus
vaccination.  Judy is on the list to get it
as well,  but there is a long waiting list.
Anyways,  we’re still hanging in there as
we’re waiting for autumn to awaken with
its many colorful leaves.  Then I’ll be
searching for the first signs of winter
and the first snowflakes to fall from the
sky.  My daughter Jamye is trying to
find a way to make it up for Christmas,
but she keeps running into problems.
I hope she is able to get her problems
resolved and make it up,  but it is in
God’s hands and what  ever happens
will happen.  I am praying for her and
her daughter (my granddaughter Sami).
So,  what else is there to tell ya?  Well.
it’s been a little warm up this ways this
passed week.  The highest temperature
though has been but only 80 F degrees.
Today the high is 75 F degrees but it
has already cooled a bit being now it’s
around 72 F degrees.  We’re expecting
a little rain to come Tuesday evening 🙂
but we all know,  that could change.
So,  what else is going on here at the
Pearce’s Place?  Judy borrowed her
sisters steam cleaner and is fixing to
do our bedroom,  but first she has to
vacuum it.  I asked her if she needed
my help and she said no,  I guess I’ll
continue with the journal 🙂  Benny
and Rocky are in the bedroom with
Judy watching her vacuum.  They’re
curious little boys LOL.  Although
Rocky tends to stay far from the
vacuum,  because the sound scares
him.  Benny on the other hand will
just follow her around hahaha.  The
same goes for when I am using the
snow blower,  but then it’s both of
the boys.  Rocky doesn’t seem to
be afraid of the snow blower a bit.
In fact they will both often get right
in my path wanting me to blow snow
on them LOL.  They are characters.
There’s not much to tell you this
week.  Judy and I have pretty much
just hung around the house,  but
then last night (Saturday),  Judy went
over to her sister’s house for craft
night.  Judy made a beautiful wreath.
A Halloween wreath to be more to
the point.  She said she was doing
it in purple and black and I thought
to myself,  that’s going to look more
black than anything,  but it actually
came out quite nice as she also added
some sparkling iridescence to it that
made the colors pop.  Judy’s very
creative.  I hope she does a few more
paintings soon.  I love her artwork 🙂
I wish I was that creative,  but all I
am is a poet,  photographer and a
drummer.  The only creativity in me
is found in my poetry LOL and I’m
hoping that my books begin selling
one day soon.  I’ve sold a small few,
but nothing substantial.  Hopefully
when I’m dead and gone,  they’ll
start selling enough to provide Judy
with a little bit of an income to help
her get by.  Whatever happens,  it’s
in God’s hands.  When we’re doing
the best we can,  worrying about the
future only causes ulcers and panic.
We all have our flaws and we may
never reach the level of want that we
are striving for,  but we will get what
we need if we don’t give up.  Too many
give up before they’ve even begun and
that only leaves you looking back with
regret wondering why you didn’t try.
Don’t cry about the past.  It changes
nothing.  Look ahead of you and do
the best you can today and the future
will be as it should be.  Maybe not
what you would want,  but the way
it should be.  God sends angels to
help us through our trials.  So many
will turn them away due to their ego.
Don’t let your ego to prevent an angel
from helping you.  Some angels might
be friends of yours or people that you
meet as ships sailing through.  Let
God help you.  Thank You God for
all of the many angels that you’ve
sent to help and guide me through
life.  Now I believe it’s time for me
to start reading back through all that
I’ve written here to see if I can find
a good word or phrase that I can use
for the title for today’s brand new
poem.  So it’s away I go to that little
place of my recollection that I always
like to call RECOLLECT VILLE 🙂
I believe found a decent title just a
third of the way back in my rambling
and now after checking I see that it
has not been used as of yet,  so used
it shall be today :).  Here goes…

Look Ahead

Don’t be always
looking back
and seeing how
you got off track.
Look ahead
and see the path
the better way,
but not too fast.
Don’t let hurry
guide you through,
for sometimes
it hides the view.
Passing scenes
of beautiful finds
might be blurry
as hurry defines.
Don’t let baggage
of yesterdays
to hold you back
in saddened grays.
Look ahead
and see what’s there
within the chances
found in a prayer.

There you go.  I hope you liked the
poem.  Also I hope you enjoyed my
rambling.  Judy has finished with the
carpet in our bedroom at least for the
moment.  She plans on us doing it a
few times being it’s never been cleaned
other than vacuumed and it’s caught
a lot of the boys growing.  If ya don’t
know what I mean.  I mean teaching
the boys that they are to go outside
to pee LOL.  Rocky still has a little
bit of problem with it,  but Benny’s
no problem.  Anyways,  we’re going
to do the whole house before it’s all
said and done,  before we have to
return it to Judy’s twin sister Trudy 🙂
So,  that’s about it, other than what
I tell you every week and that is,  I
wrote some more poems and haiku 🙂
Yeppers,  10 more poems,  but this
time with 1  extra which happens to
be a Christmas poem that I wrote
yesterday while Judy was gone LOL.
I also wrote 22 more haiku for all of
the haiku lovers out there.  I hope
you can find 1 or 2 of either or both
that you like.  Now I believe it’s time
for me to begin my search for that
hardly elusive off switch,  but not
before I wish you a most wonderful
weekend or whatever’s left of it and
a blessings filled week.  Remember,
Jesus loves you and we do too…
Now where can that ornery off switch
be hiding this week?  Well,  as I look
around the room I seem to notice a
bit of movement behind our coin
wrappers box.  LOL this time I see
that you were trying to be still but
ya just slipped off the other side
and were reaching for a nonexistent
handhold hehehe.  Better luck next
week.  Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

Rocks That Sleep

So many people
just lie around
without trying
a sight or sound.
Actions are only
as blades of grass
that tell stories
of times that pass.
So many moments
will pass us by
if we just give up
and never try.
Rocks that sleep
are winds of time
when they’re seen
within the mind.
So many display
a distant hue
just like a rock
of thereunto.
Many are rocks
of disregard
watching waiting
within their yard.
They just watch
to weather about
never seen moving
in ways or out.
So many people
worry and weep
not doing nothing
just rocks that sleep.

Journey’s Road

Wheels become as
pens to write
throughout daytime
then to night.
A simple story
that times unleash
filled with wonder
seeking peace.
A journey’s road
begins its quest
north and south
and east and west.
A scenic memoir
words begin
as time encounters
where you’ve been.
We all journey
our own little way
from time to time
and day to day.
The roads of style
display their view
a book of pages
thereunto.
One day we might
discover scenes
passing ages
rushing streams.
Some might view
their life’s abode
as that of the
journey’s road.

Shadows Of Desire

Beach side memories
we find in the shadows
scented of the ocean
in timeless afterglows.
I can hear the waves
that are crashing ashore
telling of a story
of a time long before.
Moments I remember
are as essence of the sun
in shadows of desire
we’re truly having fun.
Walking taking pictures
of each sight that we see
as waves come crashing
on you and on me.
Mornings encompassed
of a seasonal request
as shadows of desire
that are truly of the best.
My wife and I look out
to the waves of time
and see their abundance
of a wondrous design.
Seeming as a magical
time that comes alive
bringing forth blessings
that help us to survive.
Life is as seconds
that many might forget
losing them in waves
of a moment’s sunset.
Time is but an ocean
with heartbeats afire
filled with the memories
of shadows of desire.

Sky Of Art

That of a painting,
but in the sky
is an artful scene
of heaven’s reply.
Telling a story
from here to there
with drops of white
and a little flair.
Smudges of time
with a dab of blue,
the sky of art
is a magical view.
It displays scenes
as marvelous sights
scented with life,
the days and nights.
That of a painting
a wondrous design
painted with life
to live in our mind.
Seeming iridescent
as the sky displays
clouds of white
and some of grays.
The minutes pass
as we’re looking on
seeing the artwork
from dawn to dawn.
Scenes of emotions
will always impart
found up above
in a sky of art.

Mirage Of Autumn

Reviewing photos
of distant sceneries
I can see autumn
in colorful leaves.
I can even smell it
with aromas so fine,
a mirage of autumn,
such a seasonal time.
With accents of life
in some magical ways,
a mirage of autumn
is a timely phase.
It comes and goes
as minutes tick on
bringing forth colors
that’ll soon be gone.
This is a moment
that many will seek
searching all around
for just but a peek.
The colorful hues
the leaves become
when changing colors
after summer’s sun.
The season awaits
the wintertime snow
and then for spring
to once again grow.
Yet now it’s possibly
a ghost of time
a mirage of autumn
for eyes to find.

Distant Hills

Looking in the distance
you might see a view
some distant hills rolling
beneath a sky of blue.
A time you’ll remember
as the minutes tick on
as the rolling continues
of hills thereupon.
You might then envision
yourself summers days
walking in the distance
on hills that you gaze.
You might even imagine
a meadow that’s revealed
that for a brief time
was so very concealed.
Yet your imagination
may discover other things
a field full of wonder
as rivers and springs.
Scented with the dewdrops
of a morning of style,
you might imagine
what a dream can compile.
Those distant hills might
come alive as you think
as you go to the waters
to get yourself a drink.
Yet this might be a dream
or just your imagination
as distant hills of time
become your destination.

Seaward Gaze

Standing and affixed
on the seaward sky
I find the sunshine
as a glimmering high.
It enlightens emotions
that live deep within
while looking seaward
watching waves begin.
The calmness of style
of a timeless scene
is a seaward gaze
and a watery dream.
My eyes stay affixed
on the bright sunlight
as waves come crashing
right there in my sight.
I can smell the ocean
as it wafts in the air
the scent of a journey
with a seascape flair.
In a seaward gaze
my mind’s hypnotized
as I stand watching
and waves are apprised.
It’s a magical moment
that came into phase
as I stood watching
my seaward gaze.

Jumbled Thoughts

We often find
a time and place
mixed emotions
needing faith.
Thoughts may be
a cloud’s array
jumbled scenes
from day to day.
Blessings counted
can help us see
the best in life
for you and me.
God is always
there with love
pouring down from
heaven above.
Life gets better
if we let go
of all the baggage
to and fro.
Allow your life
to set things free,
things not good
for you or me.
For as we struggle
to hold on tight
to baggage of life
that is not right,
we might become
so sad and lost
within the moments
jumbled thoughts.

Tracks May Curve

Now and then
our times may show
a where and when
in to and fro.
Turning churning
days desires
tracks may curve
with minutes fires.
We might find
a day or two
where tracks of life
are best to view,
but then they might
just go astray
as they curve
in every which way.
It’s then we must
discern our path
and slow it down,
not go too fast.
For tracks of life
might swing a right
and leave you there
in another sight.
For as the scenes
become your view
the tracks may curve
to enlighten you.
So when your life
is going smooth
tracks may curve to
change your groove.

Living In Pink

Among so many
a life might portray
pinkish processions
just a little bit gray.
They might appear
as a better view
while living in pink,
but maybe as blue.
So many will hide
the way that they feel
not showing truly
what all they conceal.
Living a liars world
that’ll surely unfold
living in pink ways
when they’re so cold.
Don’t let your ego
to hide what’s true
making ones think
what isn’t so you.
Allow your pride
to release your fear
and learn to display
what may not appear.
A flower might seem
as a beautiful style
hiding the ugly
behind a little smile.
Learn to let go
of a egotistic way,
for living in pink
might end up so gray.

Christmas Days

With summer’s heat
and autumn’s drive
the scent of Christmas
comes alive.
It starts as an echo
that I endear
songs about Christmas
of year after year.
Remembering scenes
as snow of white
those Christmas days
such a wonderful sight.
Songs on the radio
playing Jingle Bells
and Silent Night
with a story to tell.
It’s the sweetest sound
for hearts to find
on a troubled day
to ease the mind.
Christmas gives hope
for a peaceful life
found in a snowflake
with lesser of strife.
So when I envision
that season of hope
my mind takes a trip
on a Christmas slope.
Summer might be
of the seasonal phase,
but joy’s still found
in Christmas days.

Haiku
for Sept 15 2018

With life comes moments
that we might not remember
as the way they were.

Looking for new ways
amidst our yesterdays thoughts
might turn out insane.

Without our struggles
we would not learn very much,
for trials teach more.

So many flowers
show but only a season
and then fade away.

The truth of passion
is often viewed as desires
that are only lies.

Windows to the mind
can become clouded with time
and hide what that’s true.

Living as blades of grass
you might forget the mower
that will cut you down.

Beyond the starlight
holds a place that becomes dreams
in the dark of night.

Focusing on pain
can create a troubled life
when it is peaceful.

Footprints on a beach
can be pathways to the sea
that came to explore.

Trading your lifestyle
for one that you do not know
can lead to trouble.

Some stop signs of life
are often hidden from us
until we get there.

Passing as a breeze
some moments might seem stormy
until they have passed.

A sprout of flowers
will not blossom its beauty
unless it’s watered.

Meaningless chatter
brings no view of perspective,
so say what you mean.

Losing ones pathway
does not mean that they are lost,
but just turned around.

The doorknobs we turn
can often become nightmares,
but also as dreams.

Tripping over holes
that we ourselves created
is considered fact.

Eyes are a turnstile
that look and then look again
at what that is gone.

Reacting to pain
is what many misconceive,
for they do not know.

A summertime field
displays signs of the changes
that autumn reveals.

Spirits of loved ones
might become as our angels
that watch over us.
