More or Less

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

I hope you had a happy Thanksgiving.
Judy and I had a great one.  We spent
it with her family.  I was sad that I was
unable to spend it with any of mine,  but
that’s life.  I do love her family.  We had
a nice dinner and played CLUE of which
I had no CLUE of how to play so Judy
did most of the playing LOL.  I just sat
beside her and rolled the dice when it was
our turn hehehe.  I took a whole lot of
pictures of our drive up to Caribou and
a few pictures of the family and Judy took
a few of me while we were there.  I had to
dig our car out so that we could go there,
being the night before Thanksgiving,  it
snowed quite a bit.  Our new neighbor
Bernard came with his large snow blower
and helped me to clear our driveway.  I
am so glad he came,  because otherwise
we would of been many hours late getting
to Caribou for the Thanksgiving dinner 🙂
Though even with him helping me,  we
were a bit late getting there and my old
body was spent.  I needed help getting up
the steps to their porch LOL.  It looks
as though we’re expecting more snow this
coming Tuesday.  5 to 8 inches expected,
but could be more or less.  So,  it looks
as though our snow blower and I will be
getting a work out 🙂 and it’s merely just
the beginning of winter.  We’re going to
buy something for our new neighbors
for Christmas being they have proven
to be good neighbors and to thank him
for his help.  Yep,  it looks as though
we might finally have some neighbors
that will stick around for more than a
year 🙂  So what else is there to ramble
about?  Well,  Judy is doing a whole
lot better.  We’re enjoying each others
company as we watch our favorite TV
programs and just being together.  We
don’t live an exciting life,  but we live
a happy one.  Of course we have a few
struggles that come and go in our lives,
but that’s part of life.  The struggles
seem to bring us closer.  Tonight we’ll
be watching many of the recordings that
I did of our favorite shows that I did
while she was in the hospital and being
that God Friended Me is not on tonight,
it works out well.  God is our friend as
He watches over us as He allows what
that’s needed in our life and protects
us from what that is bad for us.  Thank
You God for Your blessings and the
many angels that You send to us in our
times of need.  So I give thanks to You
for all that You do and all that You
will do as time runs its course.  Now I
believe it’s time for me to be taking a
lil trip back through all of my rambling
to see if I can find me a word or phrase
that I can use for the title for today’s
brand new poem.  So it’s away I go to
that place of my recollection that I like
to call RECOLLECT VILLE.  I think
I may have found a fairly decent title
about halfway through my rambling
and now after checking,  I see that it
has not been used as of yet,  so used it
shall be.  Here goes…

More or Less

Things will begin
with just a thought
a passing view
of good and naught.
We might perceive
a day and time
as more of less
of yours or mine.
Our life moves on
leaving many sights
minutes passing
in days and nights.
Look for the view
that brings a smile
of more or less
that times compile.
Don’t let sadness
to be all you see
in more or less
of your history.
Let God guide you
from bad to best
as time intertwines
within more or less.

Well,   there ya go.  I hope you enjoyed
the poem and maybe even my rambling.
I didn’t have that much to ramble about
this week LOL.  Right now it’s 10 degrees
and supposed to be 4 F degrees tonight
or by morning.  Yeppers and we’ve got a
lot more snow heading our way.  LOL,
believe it or not,  I love to watch it snow
and see all of the magical creations that
come into view that are otherwise just
plain bitter sights.  Yep,  even an old
barn or house that time has not been a
friend to,  becomes artwork of a moment
as the snow lands upon them.  So what
else have I forgotten to tell you.  Oh yea,
my mom’s birthday was Saturday Nov 31
and I wrote her a birthday poem.  I sure
hope that she liked it. Anyways, that’s
about all I’ve got for you,  other than
what I tell you almost every week and
that is,  I wrote some more poems and
haiku.  Yeppers,  10 more poems with
1 extra 🙂 and 4 of them are Christmas
poems and the one extra is of course
moms birthday poem.  I also wrote 22
more haiku for all of the haiku lovers
out there.  I hope you can find 1 or 2
of either or both that you like.  Now I
do believe it’s time for me to begin my
search for that hardly elusive off switch,
but not before I wish you a blessings
filled week.  Remember,  Jesus loves
you and we do too.  OK,  so where is
that ornery off switch trying to hide
this week?  LOL trying to hide,  what
a laugh Hahaha.  So far it’s hidden
right in front of me behind things of
which are clear or a lot smaller than
it LOL.  Hmm searching,   Aha I see
ya you little varmint.  Hiding in the
middle of my headset acting like you
are listening to music when in fact the
headset isn’t plugged in hehehehehe.
I wouldn’t of seen ya if it hadn’t of
been for the fact that my headset is
clearly within view on my right side.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky

Embellishing Sights

Snow covered scenery
becomes works of art
seasoned of blessings
as a true beating heart.
Minutes embellished
as a timeless detail
as winter winds blow
and snowflakes set sail.
These are as the stages
of a moment in time
brought into existence
as a heartfelt design.
Life is as a doorway
with a Christmassy hue
the sights and sounds
of a wintertime view.
In snowy winter winds
the artwork finds face
enhanced by a moment
as a Christmassy taste.
Textured as powder
that children will find
and create snowmen
to show Christmastime.
A mailbox in the snow
stands waiting for mail
a Christmastime card
with a scenic detail.
One with Santa Claus
in flight in the nights
or one with Jesus
as embellishing sights.

Pictured Silence

Withdrawn from sound
a picture might seem
as but only a reflection
of a sight so extreme.
It could be a dirt road
or maybe a hill
as a story that’s written
for time to fulfill.
Within pictured silence
you might then recall
a scene so faraway
with an essence of fall.
It might be a memory
or a seasonal place
as a magical moment
that photos retrace.
The scenes become alive
in a picture frame
textured of a smile
through a windowpane.
Maybe on a drive
down a old rocky road
or a path remembered
of a life’s episode.
Look beyond the photo
and remember it well
a blessing of time
with wondrous detail.
It might be a journey
that you cannot hear
a time’s pictured silence
of life’s yesteryear.

Misapprehension

In view of a sight
of where you stand
it might be as wrong
as shifting sand.
You might see a hill
or a valley of style
that seems like a scene
of a remembered mile.
Eyes might deceive
how you view another
as a mountain or hill
or sister or brother.
We’ve each got views
of our very own,
but oh so very many
are truly not known.
A misapprehension
can become a disaster
assuming a mountain
from all of thereafter.
Look for the truth
and discard the lies
the misapprehensions
of how, where and whys.
Breathe in the truth
of a hillside of fact
and let your judgment
to then get on track.
Look closely at liars
see what’s sincere
and misapprehension
may slowly disappear.

Lost Within Winter

Within our footsteps
we might find flow
seasons of flurry
seasons of snow.
The time might be
as a clock on a wall
ticking in essence
the things we recall.
Seeming as an ocean
the snow flows on
lost within winter
until it is gone.
So find your footing
in snowy white trails
and find perspective
that joyful exhales.
You might find signs
of Christmassy sights
blowing in the wind
the days and nights.
The snow flakes fall
creating their styles
flowing as a dream
as each one compiles.
Doorways will open
unleashing dreams
seeming so timeless
as Christmas scenes.
Look then and find
life front and center
and locate blessings
lost within winter.

Hidden But Seen

In the year’s ending
winter creates
often with a season of
white fluffy flakes.
Bringing into view
some colorful scenes
maybe well hidden,
as it magically sings.
Scenes of bright red
as a colorful home
scented of wintertime
snow as a throne.
Time is a creator
that God gives grace
unleashing stages
a warming embrace.
Life can be a dream
as our eyes open wide
 allowing winter’s doors
to come and reside.
Beginning a pathway
a journey to bestow
that’s hidden but seen
in white fluffy snow.
Find within lifetimes
a picture to take
one that of beauty
as a Heavenly wake.
Look at the scenery
that seems as a dream
a time overlooked
that’s hidden but seen.

Winter of Christmas

Looking to the past
there are reflections
mirrored type views
of God’s creations.
Snow on the ground
as white landscapes
textured fluffy white
in wintertime shapes.
With a sea of snow
creating each view
as a Christmas scene
with a wonderful hue.
It becomes so alive
as I look there upon
a winter of Christmas
while singing a song.
Songs on the radio
create such a sight
as sleigh bells ringing
Christmas eve night.
Children can imagine
old Santa and sleigh
flying across the sky
in a magical way.
There may be a few
adults that remember
the way that they felt
in times of December.
As children they were
with heartfelt desires
winter of Christmas
and crackling fires.
Times of the past
we remember so well
we’ve reflected upon
as a story to tell.
A season so joyful
a season full of bliss
winter of Christmas
we now reminisce.

That Wintery Road

Traveling unraveling
minds of a season
down winter roads
of rhyme and reason.
So many will travel
without a choice
and others travel on
in a Christmas voice.
Singing all the songs
of Christmastime
down wintery roads
a moment reminds.
Truckers travel on
to their destination
delivering the things
maybe for decoration.
They may have loads
of food and more
they must carry to
each grocery store.
The scenes they pass
might be of snow
the roads they travel
each way they go.
Delivering packages
many miles away
things that we need
from day unto day.
So remember the ones
that carry each load
those holiday travels
that wintery road.

Unwritten Memoir

The words we hear
so often fall away
to be unwritten
in a wordy display.
We might remember
a moment in snow
a timeless scene
from so long ago.
It may live again
as a simple memory
as a time unwritten
your mind can see.
It may be a dream
that once came true
that lives on and on
deep inside of you.
A Christmassy sight
with scenes of white
snow on the ground
snowflakes in flight.
You might even hear
a Christmastime song
echoing within you
that’ll never be gone.
It’s a journey taken
from near to afar
a timeless moment
an unwritten memoir.

Flight of Life

Minutes passing
leave just a glance
a flight of life
as song and dance.
Scenery changes
becoming a stage
changing it daily
from age to age.
The scent of spring
becomes details
as grasses growing
when life exhales.
We might not see
a bird in flight
that passes us by
amidst daylight.
Flapping its wings
it leaves a view
as that of a story
words to accrue.
So have a camera
awaiting to take
pictures of a time
a photo to make.
There may just be
a sight awaiting
a time that’s worth
some investigating.
A timeless scene
that moves so fast
a flight of life
as a shadow’s cast.

Passing By

Wheels of time
roll on past
leaving shadows
found to last.
Passing scenes
of rolling minds
become a glance
in scenic times.
Passing by us
a summer’s day
time rolls on
within its way.
Maybe squeaks
of passing wheels
may give voice
to times reveals.
Look and see
the stage design
and record it
in your mind.
The time may be
just like a train
rolling quickly
sought to gain.
Finding truthful
in the phase
wheels a turning
life to gaze.
Allow your mind
to reason why
finding peaceful
passing by.

Happy Birthday Mom

My mom is the best
she’s loving and kind.
She always helping us
time after time.
I wish we were nearer
and not so faraway,
but we are close
with a loving array.
Time keeps counting
as our ages become
life as a doorway
that’s second to none.
My mom’s the best
as she does all she can
giving of herself
with God’s daily plan.
I love you so much
I wish we could be
holding hands tight
with lifetimes to see.
Yet as the minutes
become as more days
I love you more mom
in so many ways.
Happy birthday mom
I hope this brings joy
from your loving son
and once little boy.

Haiku
for Nov 30,  2019

Windows to the mind
begin with a learning path
that teaches lessons.

Temptation destroys
when it’s left out of control
without willpower.

When you’re changing lanes
look before you make a move,
for it might be worse.

Leverage of smarts
does not always win the game
with ones common sense.

Striving for the top
needs to look for good footing
or you will fall down.

Winter’s fields of snow
can often look like paper
filled with breezy words.

When being thankful
remember all the small things
that God’s given you.

When you get behind
and life seems to pass you by
take a breath and pray.

Wintertime flowers
are as Christmas carnations
with their own beauty.

Patience is a thing
we each need to have more of
when at a red light.

Sensing much turmoil
might mean your gut feeling speaks
and needs to be heard.

Various doorways
give lessons within their walls
and some are empty.

 Believing in words
that many have repeated
might prove unhealthy.

Thriving on a dream
can create many nightmares
that might procreate.

Harboring anger
over little things of life
can make you bitter.

When tightrope walking
over problem areas
you may lose footing.

Prayer can ease pain
if it is in God’s wishes,
for He knows what’s best.

Losing your footing
and sliding backwards a bit
is not the end game.

Traveling minutes
can become hours and days
as seconds tick on.

Hands that hold tightly
can become so much stronger
than ones all alone.

Imagery of life
is like an ocean of waves
creating a beach.

Clouds in formation
become recognizable
within our viewpoint.
