Look Harder

Hello my friends

So what’s up in your part of the world these days? It’s still
raining off and on up here. A tad more on than off if ya get
my drift LOL!!! I hear it’s rather hot down Texas ways, yet
I miss it more than ever. I guess it could be that I am a born
and raised Texan. My mom told me the other day that my
sister asked her if she was ready to go to Maine again and mom
said sure. Yet it won’t be until next summer. I pray nothing
happens to prevent it again as it did this year. I miss all of my
family and friends. Wish I were rich and I would be there now.
I love it up here most days with the beauty and all, but I need
to see my friends and family. Oh well, an old musician friend
of mine is supposed to be coming up this ways August 13 and
he said he wants to jam with me again, so maybe he and I will
get together and do some music. Hehehe maybe even do a lil
video of us. Ya never know. David, I hope you make it dude!
Not much has changed in this little house of the Pearce’s. It’s
pretty much same old same old if ya know what I mean. The
temperatures have been very nice. Wish my health would let
me enjoy it more, but that’s life. Please don’t ask me what’s
wrong, because it would take me a day or two to tell ya LOL.
Alrighty then, it’s time to move onwards with Ye Greetings.
Judy had to go into work at 5 this morning due to expecting
a large group to come in this morning wanting to eat. I hope
she gets off a little earlier than she was scheduled due to it.
I wish I could still work. Who ever said that it’s great being
retired should be shot LOL. If my health would allow me,
I would be working now, that’s of course if I could even find
a Machine shop factory or anything for that matter that I
could do what I know how to do hehehe. Oh well, this is my
life. God allowed my health to get this way for a purpose.
Sometimes I think He allows the brakes to be added so as to
slow us down and change our perception. We many times
will perceive life as speeding over speed bumps, yet the fact
is that God has plans for us and sometimes He needs us to
slow down so we can do what we were meant to do. I was
meant to write and so I shall. The choices fall on what we
let ourselves to do with the moments. We can either just sit
and die away, or we can try to use our gifts the best that we
can. I’m lost in this world of Northeastern Maine, hut I am
doing the best that I can to deal with it. Judy and I find things
that we can do together. One thing is soon coming up hehehe
if it will ever stop raining long enough LOL and that is take
off on a photography cruise. I myself am looking forwards
to it, being it means getting out and away from this house
for a while :). Yep, God gives us many ways to enjoy life,
yet sometimes we need to look harder for the blessings.
With that said, I reckon it’s time for me to begin my little
search through things I’ve written to try and find a word or
phrase that will work well for today’s brand new poem, so
it’s off I go to that place of recollection that I like to call
RECOLLECT VILLE. I believe I found a good title to use
for today’s poem. Now let’s see if I can write anything
good using it LOL. And away we go as Jackie Gleason
would say hehehe.

Look Harder

When in fact goodtimes
you cannot see
look through the sight
of your memory.
If in fact sunshine’s
hidden from view
take a little venture
to something new.
Maybe just mind wise,
but travel on
seeking a brighter
shade of the dawn.
When in fact fractions
of all you find
are but of sadness
from time to time
take on a memory
and let it give
peace that will help you
now just to live.
Yet do not live then
in memories,
for they can turn to
just a disease.
Learn to use wisely
all you remember
times in brushstroke
life’s burning ember.

I hope you enjoyed that. Only God knows how I am able to do
that hehehe. I never know what’s gonna come out of my head.
It seems I have thought this way all my life, for I’ve been writing
poetry for almost 40 years LOL. Sometimes we don’t even realize
our gifts until many years down the line. I just thought I had a
flare for rhyming LOL. I found out later in life that I was given
a gift that would not only help me, but could help others and I
am very thankful to God for this gift. I guess I need to be hushing
now and finding that old off switch on myself LOL, hut before
I do that I need to tell ya what I tell ya all the time čÖé and that is
I wrote some more poems and yes of course I wrote some more
haiku also for all of my haiku lovers out there. Hehehe I actually
out did myself this time. I began writing as I always do and I went
a bit over my quota LOL. I did 23 instead of 22. I thought about
just deleting it or holding it back for next week hehehe, but I
decided to go ahead and send it LOL. No I wasn’t gonna delete
it :)!!! Just messing with ya hehehe. Ok so that about wraps it up.
Have a wonderful week and remember Jesus loves you and we
do too. Now where’s that off switch hiding this time?????????
Found it, once again behind my soda can LOL. See ya CLICK

God bless from Bill and Judy Pearce

Now on with the poems
10 and 22 + 1 hehehehe

The Journey

The footsteps we’re making
are found in our view
after the journey
of here thereunto.
Sometimes the journey
may not seem so clear
and we may never
see how we got here.
The journey of footsteps
is one two and three
how that the pathway
made you and me.
God holds the vision
and knows what is best
how we’ll be better
after each given test.
Many times judgment
guides us each day
while on the journey
going each way.
We have the choices
of left unto right.
yet the best way
might not be in sight.
We can’t see further
beyond our own view
and so we don’t know
if it’s really good to do.
Passion and flavor
takes on our days stride,
yet we will make it
with Jesus inside.

A Dumdididy Day

The points of a minute
are seconds we see
sometimes just sounding
like a dumdididy.
We count the minutes
of hours each day
while hoping something
will go our way.
The points of a candle
with minutes to burn
gives us the minutes
of seconds to learn.
Many times day time
goes many ways
as all the minutes
seem as a maze.
Segments we’re finding
may be the force
leading us down a
minutes time course.
Learning from moments
of a dumdididy day
we can find Jesus
just leading the way.

See Life Anew

Raindrops falling
are blessings we need
as they each nourish
life giving seed.
Sunshine then showers
the seeds everywhere
giving the nourishment
none can compare.
Days that are raining
many find sad
while we remember
things that we had.
Raindrops falling
can also renew
the way that a moment
lives within you.
Take a little walk
in raindrops one day
and listen clearly
to what all they say.
As they run down
your face one by one
look for the blessings
all that are done.
See on the ground
how each is soaked in
and makes the patterns
again to begin.
God gives us raindrops
to drink in the view
so we will one day
see life anew.

Like A Turnstile

A session of morning
meets waking day
as it will gather
its minutes display.
During the nighttime
morning will smile
as it grows closer
like a turnstile.
In through the window
of nighttimes parade
morning brings visions
of turnstiles displayed.
We’ll see the glimmer
and then see the view
when in the morning
the day starts anew.
Seeming like portraits
painted and hung
morning will blossom
all it has brung.

Portions of Sunshine

Sipping on sunshine
tasty and free
I find I’m yearning
much more for me.
Sweet tasty sunshine
after the rain
gathered together
time and again.
I find I’m yearning
more to be seen
so to just glisten
on leaves of green.
Sipping on sunshine
tasty and sweet
I find I’m waiting
to taste and to eat.
Portions of sunshine
inside each cup
I wish to take it
and sip it up.

God in Mind

Hands all united
can overcome
days of a moments
sad beating drum.
Hands held together
united with love
can make the moments
much better thereof.
We need united
the heartbeats of time
so as to blossom
a better design.
Make hands united
with days come to be
and they will maybe
be better to see.
Make your uniting
with God in mind
and then much better
surely you’ll find.

This Simple Lamp

A simple little lamp
shines a simple little light
on through the daytime
and on through the night.
It’s simple glisten
makes it good to see
sights of all surrounding
here with you and me.
A simple little light switch
makes the lamp come on
when it’s the beginning
of day of brand new dawn.
For without the glimmer
of this lamp of history
I would just be stumbling
because I could not see.
So this simple lamp
I turn on every day
I now thank you truly
for your little lighting way.

Timeless To Show

The breeze of morning
wakes up the view
with the aroma
of mornings dew.
Sounds in the distance
fill up my mind
with all the pictures
that it can find.
The breeze so briskly
blows here to there
sometimes seeming
just like a prayer.
I’ll stand awaiting
for it each day
listening to what all
that it will say.
Words in the morning
breezes will blow
telling the stories
timeless to show.

Wanderings Cease

A wanderers ways
leaves sometimes no trail
headed to somewhere
without a sail.
A simple wanderer
may seem to find
sometimes a minute
connecting our mind.
I’ve been a wanderer
without a clue
headed to somewhere
anywhere new.
A wanderers ways
are patterns prevailed
painted as pictures
sometimes detailed.
Yet comes a time
for wanderings cease
so to find Jesus
and rest in peace.

Blooming In May

I saw a flower
little but grand
and caressed it
soft with my hand.
This tiny flower
seemed to be seen
as the belated
season of spring.
I stood while gazing
at this small flower
minute to minute
maybe an hour.
So many flavors
made up this view
here in this flower
timeless and true.
I thought I saw it
smile big and me
as I caressed it
oh so gently.
I seemed to hear it
saying that day
that it began surely
its blooming in May.

One time a hero
makes not a persons profile.
What about today?

Many will frolic
in troubles of another
and at your expense.

Don’t let your passion
become the guiding motion
that leads you thereto.

Gathered are the stones
that another time will throw.
Help out tomorrow.

The wisdom of many
gives the tools for ones to use,
yet we must use them.

A flawless skyline
is the painting of Lord God
with Holy brush strokes.

Scenes we admire
might not be so wonderful
as the ones we miss.

Heaven awaits us,
yet we must first love Jesus
so as to enter.

Hold your head up high
and don’t let problems guide you.
Work passed the problems.

Glimpsing at people
we will maybe only see
what they want to show.

Stories are lifestyles
as books of times are written.
What’s on your pages?

Morning shows shadows
that are echoes of nighttime,
yet we can now see.

Tempting a moment
might lead you to destruction.
Look clear the moment.

Hearts that are beating
may seem as just a pattern,
but they might be more.

Give someone a hand
when you see them with struggles.
You might make a friend.

A loser is pictured
as someone that many paint,
without all they have.

The leaves of the trees
will dance and sing in the breeze
yet many don’t care.

Let loose your worries
of the yesterdays troubles.
Today is avail.

Clinging to fragments
that your yesterday’s given
might just hold you back.

Knowledge is power,
yet used in the wrong motion
makes stumbling blocks.

Ancestry of many
makes not who you are today.
You can determine.

A windows curtain
sometimes hides all of the view,
so draw the curtain.

Look into your heart
and see what all you’ve hidden.
Lord God knows it all.
