ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

I hope you’re doing well.  We’re still among
the living or the semblance of it as the days
move forward 🙂  Judy and I drove down to
Cutler Maine Wednesday of last week.  Yep
and we took a lot of pictures.  Now I have a
few more to use for my poetry.  I did some
more mowing.  I mow for two reasons and
they are firstly to mow the grass and then of
course secondly for exercise.  People keep
saying I need to get me a riding lawnmower,
but I would get no exercise on a rider LOL,
yet I may invest on one some day if I can
ever find one I can afford,  being there will
come the day I will not be able to push the
mower.  Hopefully though that is a while
off hehehe.  So,  what else is going on up
this way?   Well,  I managed to get Judy’s
plant hangers hung,  but I needed to go to
town to buy better screws than what the
plant hangers came with and I also bought
some fence wire to use for more support
on the topside of the hangers.  I’ll change
out the screws and all and put the wires
on sometime this week.  Judy’s got her
lil Tinman sitting outside with the plants.
She has plans on making a birdbath for
next Saturdays craft night.  While we were
shopping yesterday we went to find things
she thought she would need for making
her birdbath.  We both stay busy quite
often creating things.  I spend much of
my time writing and designing poetry
pictures mainly because I enjoy doing
them.  Not for the money LOL.  Surely
if I were doing them for the money,  I
would of stopped long ago,  because I
am not making much on them hehehe.
They do though keep my brain active as
well as give me something to do to keep
my mind busy.  BUT,  if you would ever
want to own a book of mine,  the link is
at the bottom of the journal to go and
buy ya one or two 🙂  Anyways,  on with
my journal.  It has been a tad warm up
this way the passed few days.  I hoped
that summer was done,  but it seems to
have a few more days left to make me
sweat.  Today’s forecasted high is for
78 F which it is right now at 6:30 PM 🙂
Monday’s forecast is for 78 as well,  but
then 82 for Tuesday and Wednesday 🙂
Right now my weather program shows
90 for Thursday,  but that can change.
I’m so thankful for this air conditioner
that I bought us many years ago.  If it
weren’t for it,  I would be a puddle in
the floor LOL.  The clouds were so very
pretty when Judy and I went in to town
Saturday,  I had to take pictures of them
and so I took a bunch 🙂  I reckon I will
be using a few of them for writing poems.
LOL  My head stays in the clouds often
and sometimes gets hit by lightning LOL.
Lightning is the same as ideas in my view.
Yep,  I do tend to think too much which
makes it hard to sleep hehehe.  I’m on a
living elevator that keeps going up with
the numbers.  I wish it would slow down,
but I guess you cannot stop aging unless
ya die hehehe.  I though would like to
end the aches and pains that I’ve gotta
deal with every day of my life.  They do
get old.  Oh well,  that’s life.  Judy and I
enjoy our time together doing little things
such as watching TV or just sitting in the
room together ever so often smiling at
one another.  Yep,  we live a quiet life.
I still find myself wishing that I could see
a few of my friends or family members
time to time,  but I guess it’s just a dream
that I keep dreaming.  I do enjoy my time
in the peace and quiet up here,  being we
live out in the boonies,  but time to time
I find myself missing people.  I guess
that’s part the course of living out in the
country and many miles from people that
I know.  I’m glad I have my photography
and poetry to keep me occupied,  because
without it,  I would die of boredom.  Yep,
I am so very glad that God gave me these
gifts that I can use to make it through life,
but most of all I am glad He brought Judy
into my life.  She is my very best friend
and she doesn’t judge me for my many
flaws.  God has always been looking out
for me even when I was unaware of Him
even being around.  God has always done
what He knew was best and He allowed all
that He knew would be good lessons for
me to learn.  Thank You God for always
loving me and for loving us as we strive
on through life to find the pages of our
life that we belong.  AMEN.  Now I do
believe it’s time for me to read back on
all that I’ve written here to see if I can
find a good word or phrase that I can
use for the title for today’s brand new
poem.  So,  it’s away I go,  to that place
of my recollection that I always like to
call RECOLLECT VILLE.  It seems I
may have stumbled upon a decent title
just about 2 quarters of the way back in
my rambling and now after checking,  I
see that it has not been used yet,  so used
it shall be today.  Here goes…

Wishing

Times we travel
with our minds
finds us wishing
for other times.
Seasons journey
of fast and slow
wishing for ways
and places to go.
Often memories
become as a view
forming wishing
they were anew.
Within a window
of now an again
wishing becomes
a season’s wind.
Blowing bestowing
a dream of fishing
with a loved one
becomes wishing.

There ya go.  I hope you liked the poem
and maybe even a bit of my rambling :).
Yep,  it’s been a little warm up here,  but
I’m quite sure it has been warmer down
in Texas and other southern states.  I do
not miss the triple digit temps.  They’re
too hot for me.  80 is too hot for me and
on those days and warmer I stay in front
of the AC when I am able.  The same goes
for the boys.  They have a lot of hair and
often lay on front of the fans.  Judy’s not
as hot natured as I am,  but she enjoys
the AC too 🙂  Anyways,  Judy’s sister is
doing as good as to be expected.  Judy
took Barbara to Walmart Friday and
Barb rode in a Walmart scooter and did
some shopping.  The radiation treatments
seem to be doing her fairly good.  They
ceased chemo on her due to many issues.
I’m happy that she is not giving up the
ship.  I love her bunches.  Barbara was
the one that found us a place to live up
here and it’s where we are now 13 years
nearing 14 years later 🙂  I’ve learned
how to deal with the climate up here 🙂
Well that’s about all I have for ya other
than what I tell you every week and that
is,  I wrote some more poems and haiku.
Yep,  10 more poems with 1 Christmas
poem in the mix.  I also wrote 22 more
haiku for all the haiku lovers out there.
I hope you can find 1 or 2 of either or
both that you like.  Now I do believe it
is time for me to begin my search for
that hardly elusive off switch,  but not
before I wish you all a most wonderful
and blessings filled week.  Remember,
Jesus loves you and we do too.  Okey
dokey,  so now where can that ornery
off switch be trying to hide this time?
Looking in all of its recent hiding spots.
LOL,  I do believe I see a lil movement
from behind the internet DSL modem.
Yep,  I see ya you silly thing.  Was it
a little hot back there hehehe?  It does
tend to get warm.  Try a cooler place
maybe next time that’s not easy to see.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

Summer’s Ocean

Seasons remembered
our pictures enhance
remind of summers
a wonderful glance.
Scenes as the waves
that roll in and out
as summer’s ocean
is tossed all about.
Strolling all around
in the summer sun
enjoying the seconds
as each one’s begun.
Time’s a photograph
a painting of style
formed as a breath
of memory’s smile.
Shining still within
as the pictures recall
scenic summertime
that still stands tall.
Found as a moment
that’s written within
words of a journal
that times transcend.
Bringing the scenes
once again in motion
found in memories
of summer’s ocean.

Yesterdays Winters

Doorways remembered
as Christmas goes by
become our memories
within our minds eye.
The snow on the ground
as a season of bliss
in yesterdays winters
as Christmastime’s kiss.
Remembering moments
that came to explore
in yesterdays winters
a time long before.
Christmas was coming,
but not yet the day,
for within November
it was reflections array.
All that was within us
as our heartbeats beat
was that of Christmas
a time soon to meet.
Life within memories
is as Christmas dinners
found as heartbeats
in yesterdays winters.

Serenity Path

Life might show
a path to begin
seeming to blow
within the wind.
It might display
a sight to see
that of a breath
within serenity.
It might become
paths to explore
seasoned of life
as times before.
It may be a day
a reflected time
that of serenity
within the mind.
It might be only
a shadow’s cast
showing a scene
of serenity path.

Walls May Form

The roads we travel
might show a stage
as walls may form
from age unto age.
Becoming windows
that a time installs
we might pass by
warnings and walls.
Some speak true
of what that’s there
and others leave
to treat you unfair.
A passing phase
that comes in view
might hold a sight
you take with you.
It might be a scene
that moments adorn
found on a day
that walls may form.

Season Summery

Remembering days
of a summer breeze
season of summer
with green tree leaves.
Scented of moments
of fragrance divine
a season summery
that stays on a mind.
It forms attachments
as heartbeats of gold
as a season summery
of young unto old.
Found as a memory,
found as a sight
that unfolds stories
within the daylight.
These are the pictures
that come into play
as a season summery
a time and a day.
They become a story
in words of a time
as a season summery
that fills up the mind.

The Pelican

This bird it flies
in search of meals
within the ocean
that time conceals.
Yet it looks down
below the waves
and finds its dinner
as a distant gaze.
It swoops on down
to fill up its beak
and then to land
to fill its physique.
They often will eat
while flying around
if they’re unable
to find any ground.
It so often will eat
anything that it can
if it’s not too large
for the pelican.

Sometime Someplace

Sometime may discover
a place that refines
a moment of a place
with awesome designs.
There might be colors
or maybe just a sight
in sometime someplace
of a smile or fright.
It might seem a pattern
as a Halloween scene
a black cat discovered
as nightmare or dream.
Seasons become alive
with pages of leaves
as scenes that enlighten
how a dreamer believes.
Often all that’s there
is but only in our mind
as sometime someplace
is a moment to find.
Unfolding the pages
of ages that appear
as sometime someplace
that might give fear.
Yet many moments
are but only just a trace
of a season many love
sometime someplace.

Winter Instills

Windows of winter
will open to show
a season of blissful
of white fallen snow.
As enacted stages
performed of a time
winter becomes as
a great place to find.
Found as a blessing
snow pearly white
glowing bestowing
a season’s delight.
We might remember
a momentous scene
that used display
the leaves of green.
Yet they are gone
as snow falls down
leaving the leaves in
snow on the ground.
Then in the distance
the season reveals
the wondrous beauty
that winter instills.

Do Not Enter

Many times paths
that we come across
might have a gain
or might have a loss.
There may be a gate
that says no entry
telling of the tales
that are hard to see.
The gate may seem
as a rusted design
telling of the tales
of another fine time.
It may be forgotten
yet standing in place
preventing passage
to a time and space.
The sign on the gate
seen front and center
might be of old
saying do not enter.

Adventurous Roads

Time is a journey
that joins our gaze
forming adventures
for future displays.
A rocky perspective
that many drive on
might be the key to
another time’s dawn.
There may be bumps
among many holes
that tell of the tales
of how a wheel rolls.
It might hum a tune
as you drive along
a tune you remember
the sound of a song.
Adventures begin
as time is entailed
on an old dusty road
as breath is exhaled.
So many memories
the moment bestows
when driving upon
adventurous roads.

Haiku
for Aug 7,  2021

Green leaves of summer
become colors of autumn
as time goes its way.

Heartbreaking seconds
are engulfed in the minutes
while hours pass by.

Living for moments
can become empty doorways,
so learn to look on.

Emptying pockets
of a timeless perception
can form confusion.

Threads of a needle
can sew up an illusion
if it’s done just right.

Time is the keeper
of the things that pass us by
that become memoirs.

Traveling down roads
that we have no knowledge of
can lead to problems.

Looking for a smile
amidst some frowning faces,
you may need to smile.

Windows we look through
might not be showing the truth,
for they might be stained.

Glancing at someone
you might not see what’s within,
but just what’s exposed.

Scenes we discover
may have been there all the while
as we passed them by.

Thinking too deeply
you might find yourself involved
in what that’s not there.

Heartbeats that unite
can become a greater tool
to create lifetimes.

Caught in a rainstorm
you might notice some lightning
followed by thunder.

Pathways that we choose
can often become coffins
buried in the past.

Feeling a raindrop
as it lands upon your head,
may make you refreshed.

Building a lifestyle
from many broken pieces
you might find it stands.

Sought after drumbeats
of another type of life
can create a song.

Living in a hole
you’ve been digging for a while
will one day get old.

Changes in a field
might be only in your mind
and just flourishing.

Time is disturbing
when wishes,  dreams and prayers
get mixed together.

A forest of thought
can depict many viewpoints
that may be just leaves.
