ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

It’s been a crazy winter up here.  Yep,  the
snow is all melted away and the temp now
is 38 F degrees with a high supposedly of
40 and tomorrows high is supposed to be
near the same.  Tuesday though the high is
supposed to be 33 F 🙂  Weird,  yes I would
say so.  It looks more like our springtime.
So,  all in a nutshell,  I’m hoping for some
snow so that it looks more like Christmas 🙂
I think most Mainers view me as weird LOL.
Most Mainers or at least the ones that I’ve
seen hate wintertime and the snow.  Not me,
but then I’m not a Mainer hehehe.  Being a
Texan,  I never saw much snow,  but now it’s
beginning to look more like Texas up here
with the snow count.  I hope that changes.
So,  what else is going on around this place?
Well the solar motion lights I ordered a few
days ago came and possibly tomorrow I am
gonna go outside and find places to attach
them to the house so that at night when we go
out,  we have some light.  I’ve got a few out
there now and it’s pretty good,  but I think
I am going to put a couple leading over to
our satellite TV dish so that when it does
snow,  I can see to get over to it to clear off
the ice and snow.  I have to use a flashlight
now,  but it makes it hard to do anything if
I have hold a flashlight.  I have one place
that I would rather be that I love more than
snow and that is Port Aransas Texas and
the ocean.  That is my favorite place in the
world.  Judy also loves Port A.  She said
if we could ever afford it,  she would want
to get a condo down there to stay half of
the year if not more.  We’ve got tons of
pictures and videos that we took when we
went down there for vacations when we
lived in Texas.  Yep,  I miss watching the
sunrises and listening to the waves as they
crash ashore.  Yep,  those days are surely
missed.  We just now took some selfies of
us to share and also use for other things.
According to my weather it looks as if we
might get a little bit of snow Wednesday
and Thursday,  but it’s really a guessing
game.  My weather program also shows
a couple of inches of snow for Saturday,
but again it’s just a forecast/guess and it’s
not set in stone.  Yep,  the weather has a
mind of its own.  Hopefully it chooses to
snow quite a bit to make it look a bit more
Christmassy.  I ordered us a backup system
called an EF Ecoflow River 288wh Portable
Power Station.  It should help us out when
we lose our power from time to time due to
storms and what not.  We have been lucky
and never been without electricity for more
than 8 hours,  but on a cold night or day
it will be nice to be able to plug in a little
heater to keep us warm as well as run a
few things such as computers.  Most times
when we’ve lost our power we just went
to bed and covered up good LOL or put
on clothes and coats to stay warm.  We
know how to survive.  Judy just drove to
town to pick a few things from Walmart.
I needed to finish this,  so I stayed home.
My sister’s birthday was the 6th and I did
her a little poetry picture.  I’ll share the
poem with you along with all of the other
poems.  I will sure be glad when the new
passenger side door handle comes in for
our car so that the guy can get it installed 🙂
It’s a bit of a pain for Judy always having
to reach over to open my door.  It can be
opened from inside but not outside.  It’ll
be fixed soon hopefully.  He’s waiting for
it to be delivered and hopefully he can do
it fairly quick being we will have sit there
and wait.  Oh well,  it’ll get done.  I think
I hear Rocky barking saying he needs to
go out.  I’ll be right back LOL.  I’m back.
Benny needed to go out too.  Now I’ll have
to listen for them to bark saying they are
done and want to come back in.  Aren’t
we exciting LOL.  We might watch some
game shows tonight if we can’t find any
other things to watch that we like.  I just
heard the boys saying they’re ready come
back in.  Ok,  so they’re back in where it’s
warm.  God is still taking care of us as He
has done since the beginning.  We are so
very thankful for all that He does for us.
He has sent many angels to watch over us
as well as allowed many kindly spirits to
guide us.  Thank You God for all of the
things You do for us and others.  AMEN.
Now I do believe it’s time for me to be
reading back over all that I have written
here to see if I can find me a good word
or phrase that I can use for the title for
today’s brand new poem.  So it’s away I
go to that place of my recollection that I
always like to call RECOLLECT VILLE.
I think I found a title just a few lines back
that I may not of used yet and now after
checking I see that I am correct hehehe.
So here goes

The Beginning

We might forget
what’s passed us by
the pains and troubles
that we wondered why.
Yet it’s those times
that made us stronger
helping us to weather
storms a bit longer.
From the beginning
we surely won’t know
the paths we’d cross
to get where we go.
Timeless thresholds
become living journeys
scenes we remember
that ended on gurneys.
We might even find
a window or door
that in the beginning
we sought to explore.
Within that pathway
we might see an ending
found from the time
of the beginning.

Well,  there ya go.  I hope you liked the
poem and maybe even a bit my rambling.
Judy made it back home.  She picked us
up some pizza from Pizza Hut, YUMMY.
There’s not much else to tell you other
that what I tell ya every week and that is
I wrote a few more poems and haiku.  11
poems this week being that the first poem
is my sister’s birthday poem and 2 of the
other poems are Christmas poems.  I also
wrote 22 more haiku for all of the haiku
lovers out there.  I hope you can find 1 or
2 of either or both that you like.  Now I
do believe it’s time to begin my search for
that silly hardly elusive off switch,  but not
before I wish you a truly blessings filled
week.  Remember,  Jesus loves you and we
do too.  Okey dokey,  now where can that
ornery off thing be trying to hide this time?
Hmm,  looking all around at all the recent
hiding spots that were never really good 🙂
Nope,  not behind my pills LOL.  LOL I see
ya trying to hide underneath my face masks.
I know I have a lot,  but I like to be safe.
Anyways,  I doubt you have to worry about
getting sick LOL.  You’re just a silly switch.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

Sister of Mine

We found the time
in younger years
to have some fun
and find some tears.
Years have passed
and left in place
those memories
of us face to face.
We grew distant
as we moved away
dear sister of mine
I love now today.
We’re not so near,
but love knows true
it can travel on
even if not in view.
I still love you
and hope you find
a magical birthday
dear sister of mine.

Distant Train

Thoughts may be
just but a sign
as a distant train
a change of mind.
Paths we choose
might just roll on
as a distant train
of a timeless song.
Sung in harmony
with a cloudy sky
 as a distant train
of hello goodbye.
The tracks become
a path for time
as a distant train
of a one of a kind.
Join the vision
of heart filled days
as a distant train
that time displays.
Look for the hope
in moments ahead
as a distant train
of a worded thread.
Found in a book
that times attain
life’s full of stories
as a distant train.

Look in the Leaves

We might discover
some scenic dreams
found in the leaves
of moments scenes.
Garnished in colors
as a timeless rose
ones may uncover
the choices we chose.
Look in the leaves
and discover a day
one that of colors
of an awesome array.
Find a perspective
that is of a smile
within the leaves
moments compile.
Prayer is an anchor
to help you along
and we are the leaves
so heavenly strong
Given of the strength
that God interweaves
so find the blessings
look in the leaves.

Winter’s Arrays

Time is of artwork
as winter resides
giving us paintings
that living applies.
Seasons upon us
might be as dreams
of a winter’s arrays
and magical scenes.
Glistening snow
in a sunshiny day
becomes a picture’s
wondrous display.
Trees all covered
with snow of white
helping to create
a so scenic sight.
So many might see
the patterns inlaid
in a winter of white
that time has made.
Ice crystals form
becoming displays
seen as the artwork
of winter’s arrays.

Turn of A Page

A living library
holds many pages
some of summer
of different stages.
Yet some may be
as scenes of white
the pages of ages
as day unto night.
Summer is hidden
beneath the snow
as a turn of a page
that times bestow.
Creating passages
to a distant place
that time entwines
with a winter face.
Winter then forms
a snow filled heart
as a turn of a page
and a work of art.
As a book of life
opens up its eyes
it then unleashes
some wintry skies.
The minutes pass
becoming a stage
within the minutes
as a turn of a page.

Christmas Smiles

Snow that billows
becomes a romance
a scene and a dream
of wintertime’s dance.
Stood then amidst
the snow with a gaze
one may be smiling
about Christmas days.
Within the backdrop
a time may transform
into that of a joyful
sight Christmas morn.
It might be a memory
of a day or two ago,
yet still be seen stood
in Christmas snow.
Compiled as dreamers
remember that day
as a living reflection
of a wonderful way.
Time can be an echo
of joy that compiles
if we will remember
the Christmas smiles.

Looked Upon

A day remembered
might be the one
to help you to find
a seasonal sun.
A time and a place
reflecting a phase
now looked upon
as so distant days.
A puppy’s vision
might be a dream
or after the rain
in a certain scene.
A puddle of water
reflecting a sight
that’s looked upon
in a day’s sunlight.
It might be a time
remembered well
seeming as a story
love had to tell.
Beginning as life
that has moved on
this is remembered
found looked upon.

Country Minds

Times reflections
might be found
within moments
sight and sound.
Minds of youth
that times inlaid
become echoes
hearts can wade.
Just like a river
of old to new
a moment’s style
may live in you.
A magical time
that you recall
a country mind
a time so tall.
It might of been
a passing phase
yet now it seems
the best of days.
A youthful place
wondrous times
may now live on
in country minds.

Eve of Day

With winter’s phase
comes snow of white
that’s joined along
with a day and night.
Moments may linger
within that of time
as the eve of day
lives on in the mind.
It might be joined
with a scenic view
maybe with mallards
doing what they do.
They might bestow
their heart’s desires
to wait and see what
wintertime acquires.
Playing in a pond
that’s not frozen yet
they splash and swim
getting cold and wet.
It might be a dream
you wish to view
maybe in a picture
with a wintery hue.
You might even see
some clouds of gray
formed in a moment
as the eve of day.

Window of White

When remembering
times and places
a window of white
might display faces.
Seen as snowflakes
on winter’s ground
echoes of people
may be all around.
They might exist
in a wintery breeze
or heard as a sound
of rustling leaves.
Found as a dream
that time holds true
a window of white
an awesome view.
It may seem as if
Christmas is near
with songs of joy
that you so endear.
So many aromas
drift in the air
of Christmastime
none can compare.
Bringing memories
alive from the past
a window of white
in a shadowy cast.
It’s never forgotten
this wondrous sight
seeming so timeless
a window of white.

Sky of Paint

The art of nature
creates designs
as living colors
within our minds
They find a home
a resting place
a sky of paint
with just a taste.
Forming a style
of its very own
the sky up above
has many a tone.
Colors of blue
and gray within
with God’s hands
a breath of wind.
Breezes above
as breathes of air
paint up the sky
with certain flair.
It might at times
seem a bit faint,
but still His work
a sky of paint.

Haiku
for Dec 11,  2021

With our now and thens
many minutes might conjoin
looking as the same.

With a field of dreams
there may be many nightmares
hidden deep within.

The friends of our past
may not have the same beliefs
that you thought they did.

Looking back on time
you might discover yourself
in another light.

Living for the now
can be filled full of regret,
because it was wrong.

Pointing your fingers
at others that do their thing
might reflect on you.

Universal change
often comes within our thoughts
and how we view it.

Ups and downs in life
create many learning paths
that help us to grow.

Many tomorrows
are only within our dreams,
for we are dreamers.

Thinking too deeply
can land you in a mineshaft
filled with illusions.

Having a sweet tooth
and letting it rule your life
can lead to problems.

Escaping a hole
might cause to find another
if you’re not careful.

Within blades of grass
there may be a load of weeds
acting as flowers.

Winter creates thoughts
that many perceive as snow,
but some see as green.

Changing perception
will not change what that is true,
for it stays the same.

Searching for a star
in the midst of a night sky
you might see the moon.

Praying for others
can help you to find some peace
not thinking of you.

Paving way for time
needs to know what is involved
in the passage there.

Windows of our minds
might be on what others have
and not how they are.

A gleeful exchange
with ones that we’re trading with,
might show some regret.

Many trials in life
are only the passages
leading to lessons.

Open up your eyes
and see what truly exist,
then find what needs changed.
