What is Before

Hello my friends

We’re still hanging in there,  but without
running water and having to go and fill
up a bunch of gallon jugs with water to
wash dishes,  flush the toilet and a few
other things.  I called him and told him
I would give him 200 extra dollars if he
would hurry and get the well fixed and
he said,  no,  the well’s his responsibility
and he would get it fixed and no need for
extra money.  I said well we are heading
into week 3 now with no water and it’s
really doing Judy and I in.  We can’t
wash clothes or take a shower.  So now
with that bit of bickering out of the way,
on with the journal.  Other than water,
we are doing fairly well.  We’re stressed
out due to the conditions.  I am praying
that things get better soon.  We went out
to eat last Wednesday for my birthday.
Yeppers,  I’m 66 now.  LOL I don’t feel
a day over 100.  I’m still dealing with a
little vertigo and it keeps me on my toes
hehehe sort of.  I’m guessing that God
knows I can’t make it to Disneyland and
so he gives me a daily ride of my own 🙂
Judy went to town a little bit ago to do
a little shopping for things we forgot
to get the last time we were there and
she just got home a few minutes ago.
While she was gone,  Rocky needed to
go out and potty and when I let him
back in I forgot and locked the door
hehehe.  Judy rang the doorbell and I
instantly knew who it was LOL.  It’s a
habit to lock the doors that we both
have LOL.  Anyways,  Judy and I took
pictures of us on my birthday when we
went out to eat.  The waitress took a few
pictures of us as well.  That was about
the height of the excitement here.  Judy
stopped off and got us some burgers
from McDonald’s when she was in town.
Neither of us feels like cooking tonight,
so McD’s is our dinner 🙂  We would
love it if we had more choices of places
to eat,  but we live in a small town.  We
went to Presque Isle for my birthday
and that’s about 45 miles north of us :).
Anyways,  the weather is getting cooler
as each day comes to pass.  It’s 52 F
degrees right now at 8:30 PM and the
high for today was 67 which is also the
forecast for Monday and Tuesday.  So
what else is there to bicker about LOL?
Well even though we are having a few
struggles,  I’m sure that God has not
ceased watching over us and I am sure
that He will intervene when He sees it
is necessary and I’m praying that He
comes to that conclusion soon.  Judy
and I will survive one way or another.
Thank You God for all that You have
done for us and most surely what that
You will do.  Please keep You’re mighty
hands over all of our family,  friends
and those that we do not know,  for we
are sure there are many that need You
even more.  Judy and I know that You
are doing what You know is best and
we are grateful for that.  We are also
grateful for the many angels and kindly
spirits that watch over us as each day
comes to pass.  Please give us strength
to deal with what is before us as we
walk into the days ahead.  Thank You
again for all of the many blessings we
have received.  AMEN and AMEN.
Now I do believe I need to be reading
back over all that I’ve written here to
see if I can find a good word or phrase
that I can use for the title for today’s
brand new poem.  So,  it’s away I go
to that lil place of my recollection that
I always like to call RECOLLECT
VILLE.  I think I may have found me
a decent title just a few lines back and
now after checking I see that it hasn’t
been used yet.  So used it shall be 🙂
Here goes…

What is Before

Opened doors
things we see
might be only
our history.
Created daily
within time
what is before
might design.
So many paths
we walk through
might display
the old and new.
Combined life
with many trials
might be strength
for many miles.
God is there
within each door
as shadows cast
what is before.

I hope you liked the poem and maybe
even a little bit of my bickering LOL.
It’s been hard for me to focus because
of the water problems and other things
that I do not wish to mention 🙂  We’re
hoping that he gets tired of me calling
every day and finally gets the well fixed.
Time will tell.  All I know is,  we can’t
go on like this especially in winter.  So,
send us your prayers please.  We surely
need them.  Judy’s going to a cookout
at her sister’s house Labor day,  but I
think I will stay home.  I have not been
able to take a shower since 2 weeks ago
and I’m embarrassed to be near others.
I might change my mind,  but I doubt
it.  Whatever happens,  I’m sure we will
survive.  So I think it’s time for me to
tell you what I tell you every week and
that is,  I wrote some more poems and
haiku.  Yeppers,  10 more poems and
22 more haiku for all the haiku lovers
out there.  Please continue to keep my
my mom in prayer.  She’s not getting
around too well due to her foot.  My
sister Peggy is checking in on her time
to time and I want to thank her for that.
Thank you Peggy.  I wish I were able to
help,  but well, you know.  Anyways,  I
do believe it’s time for me to begin my
search for that hardly elusive off switch,
but not before I wish you a blessings
filled week.  Remember,  Jesus loves
you and we do too.  Now where can that
ornery little off switch be trying to hide
this time???  How did my glasses case
get down on the lower level of my desk?
LOL I see ya poking out of it seeing if
I see ya.  I bet it was a little cramp in
there with my glasses huh hehehehehe.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Rocky
and spirits of Benny and Milo Pearce.

The Old Survives

Inside and out
time ticks along
as dusty trails
of a scenic song.
A house or barn
within our view
may show signs
of withered hue.
Seasons passing
become dreams
old and anew
in scenic scenes.
Time is artwork
painted places
scented of what
life embraces.
Find a photo
a heartfelt size
that shows true
the old survives.

God Fulfills

Sometimes a sight
a scene of time
can bring peaceful
inside your mind.
It might only be
a simple place
that for a moment
was a smiling face.
The sky of change
might dance away
becoming sights
of clouds of gray.
There might even
be colors below
textured of time
putting on a show.
Yet we might now
see what is there
as time passes on
going somewhere.
Allow for a breath
that peace instills
found in a prayer
that God fulfills.

Halfway Displayed

Clouds might form
and create a line
within our blue sky
of a peaceful time.
We might lose track
of all that’s seen
and find ourselves
in a horrific dream.
Cars of a moment
found on our road
might drive quickly
with a similar load.
Let all the clouds
to do what they do
as they’re creating
a momentous view.
Life gives choices
that might become
visions of windows
as a passing sun.
So let peace enter
with God given aid
and see beginnings
halfway displayed.

Hot Air Balloon

Thriving as dream
life is but a stage
as time may seem
to only enrage.
Creating a scene
that continues on
transpiring sights
of a breeze’s song.
Life sings softly
a season’s array
just as a balloon
floats day to day.
Heartbeats of love
are a tender tune
often found in
a hot air balloon.

An Autumn Dream

Lifetimes behold
changes of pace
so often as colors
things to embrace.
Scenes of autumn
are colors to view
scented of textures
as time bids adieu.
Summertime skies
become memories
as autumn inlays
a cooler breeze.
Watching scenes
as a beating heart
can create mirrors
reflections of art.
Sights so magical
a magicians allure
an autumn dream
 of colors contour.

Smiling Gleefully

Look to the waves
of the days of past
and locate a smile
of times contrast.
Smiling gleefully
at a time or place
can also transfer
to another’s face.
Not letting things
to ruin your day
time can become
as a joyful array.
Hear the sounds
of a heavenly vibe
and create songs
sung from inside.
Find connections
peace within you
smiling gleefully
at each day anew.

Passed Days Reflections

Looking in a mirror
you might see yourself
reflecting of a moment
you laid on the shelf.
Maybe a mere photo
of a sentimental scene
that’s now reflections
as a living daydream.
Passed days reflections
can become so alive
as we remember them
in our heartfelt eyes.
Seeing all the sights
you remember so well
inside of your mind
seems to cast a spell.
The magic of moments
timeless connections
becomes as a window’s
passed days reflections.

Threads of Old

Winters of past
become as a sight
sweet memories
of snow of white.
Scenic doorways
to thereunto
as threads of old
mixed in the new.
Heavenly scenery
opens to become
as stages of ages
of a scenic sun.
Time may gather
to form a place
as threads of old
life to embrace.
Timid might be
ones seeing snow,
but remember
the scenic show.
Dreams live on
in times so cold
as winter thrives
in threads of old.

Be an Eagle

Fly in the sky
with love so bold
and let your life
to surely unfold.
Be as an eagle
within the skies
a blessing to view
for sorrows eyes.
If you’re weak
and cannot stand
find the strength
a helping hand.
Hands may be
with just a word
but be an eagle
a hopeful bird.

Riding Through

Searching minds
might surely see
the sight of time
from A to Z.
Riding through
on bikes of eyes
some might see
the sun arise.
Yet the ventures
might become
dreamers minds
hope on the run.
Take the time
to look beyond
when you ride
and sing a song.
Sing of nature
and find a smile
a time of life
of hopeful style.
Look within
find peace in you
on your journeys
riding through.

Within our minutes
seconds become history
often forgotten.

Living as a flame
that is trying way too hard,
you might soon burn out.

Doorways of nature
can become heartbeats of time
that flourish beauty.

Unlocking a door
can allow troubles within,
but also blessings.

Learning from the past
can prevent many problems
or make many more.

Our needles in life
are often real hard to thread,
so have some patience.

Echoes that we hear
might be death as reflections
heard within moments.

The length of seasons
is found within the pages
of life’s storybook.

Throbbing as a heart
we might find the winds of change
to display doorways.

Ventures of a thought
often create some problems
that are not present.

Flowing as a breath
a river can become alive
when it starts to rain.

Cherish the old times,
for they might help you find peace
on a later date.

Overloaded minds
might create turmoil within
where peace is waiting.

Emotions of time
are often just confusion
lost in the minutes.

Wind storms of lifetimes
often leave us memories
that we laugh about.

Hearing some voices
when nobody is present
might echo the past.

Looking for answers
amidst a time’s confusion
might show illusions.

Living in a dream
that is only but a dream
can create nightmares.

Looking all around
we can often lose ourselves
in the whereabouts.

Temporal moments
come and go as time passes
and may leave shadows.

Facing what is truth
when you’ve been living a lie
can deflate your past.

Reading a letter
the words can become jumbled
if you hurry through.
