ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

We’re now in October and the weather
is getting cooler with each passing day.
Right now at 5:30 PM it’s 55 F degrees
and this week is supposed to be much of
the same.  The nights are getting in the
30’s and 40’s 🙂 which I like a lot better
than the upper 70s to the 80s and above.
Of course  there’s a few items that disturb
me about winter up here and one is that
there are many times we must leave the
hot and cold water dribbling so it does
not freeze.  That of course also ups the
electric bill being it makes the hot water
heater have to work a bit more.  Also
having to get out and clear snow off of
and all around our car.  It gets worse
when the guy with the snow plow does
not come soon enough and we need to
go somewhere important.  I also have
to often get out and snow blow around
the front of our house so that our dear
Rocky can go out and potty.  So other
than a few things like I have mentioned
it’s not all that bad.  Of course heating
oil is quite costly,  but it is what it is 🙂
We have to have heating oil to keep
our furnace running.  We have a few
small radiator heaters,  but they don’t
do well for the whole house.  You can’t
put an electric heater in the bathrooms,
because it’s not safe being our small
bathrooms are without much walking
room as well as that being you’re not
supposed to have electric heaters near
water and the bathroom has a lot it.
So what else is there to talk about :)?
Well, Judy and I went down to Bangor
for the doctor to check out her scar
that she got from the cancer removal
from her lung a while back and he said
it’s looking good.  Her side healed up.
Of course she’s still got a few cancer
spots on her lungs,  but the large spot
was removed.  Anyways,  after she got
done with that we stopped off and had
our anniversary dinner at Denny’s 🙂
Yep,  and we took a few selfies of us
while waiting on our food.  There were
two ladies in a booth near us and one
them made a comment saying we were
so cute taking pictures and I told her
that we were celebrating our wedding
anniversary.  She asked me how many
years and I told her 23.  Anyways when
they got done eating I thought they had
left,  but here comes the same woman
and she told us,  she paid for our meal
and she said happy anniversary.  That
caught both of us off guard hehehehe.
That made the day a lot better being
we were not wanting to have go all the
way down to Bangor for a doctors visit
on our anniversary,  but it all worked
out.  I took a number of pictures of the
fall colors on our drive there and back.
OK then the very next day Judy had
an immunotherapy appointment up in
Presque Isle so I again took pictures
on the trip there and back.  There were
three ducks in the little pond that’s at
the hospital and I took a few pictures of
them.  I always try to make it over to
the pond,  but I don’t always make it 🙂
I took a few selfies while I was at the
pond,  but only a couple came out
halfway descent LOL.  Oh I forgot
about Monday’s scheduled Welcare
visit.  Of course that was just a simple
doctor check up.  We went to Walmart
afterwards to buy a few things that we
were out of or running out of.  Anyways,
that’s about all for the week.  although
yesterday Judy went and had a girls
day with her sisters at her sister Trudy’s
house.  Me and my boy Rocky stayed
home and had some guy time hahaha.
Yes I know,  Rocky is our dog,  but he
is also our boy :).  He though drove me
crazy always thinking he heard his mom
and wanting me to go and check LOL.
I would open the front door and say
she isn’t home yet.  Please go lay down.
LOL,  he never would lay down.  He
was way too antsy.  Well Judy made it
home near midnight and he was happy
and I was ecstatic,  because Rocky was
driving me bonkers LOL.  Ok so that’s
about all that went on last week and
all.  I still thank God for always being
there for us with His love and grace.
We do have a few moments that we feel
that God is not there with us,  but none
the less,  He is always watching over
us and doing what He thinks needs to
be done.  He has sent many angels and
kindly spirits to watch over us and we
feel totally blessed for those blessings.
We have a few difficulties often,  but
we make it thru them with God’s grace.
I pray that you have God in your life.
God,  please keep a watchful eye over
all of our family and friends and the
many that we know not of.  Thank You
for all that You do and all that You’ve
done.  Amen and amen.  Ok,  so now
I believe it’s time for me to read back
over all that I’ve written here to see if
I can find me a word or phrase that I
can use for the title of today’s brand
new poem.   I think I found me a fairly
decent title just a few lines back and
now after checking I see that it hasn’t
been used yet,  so used it shall be 🙂
Here goes…

Totally Blessed

Where troubles thrive
there’s also love
as God is watching us
from up above.
He knows our struggles
He knows our pain
and He sends us angels
to help with our gain.
There might be a storm
that rages within
that’s a blatant memory
blowing in the wind.
Have faith that moments
will ease up in time
as God sends us helpers
to ease up our mind.
Have faith in Lord God
when you are stressed
and know that you are
most totally blessed.

I hope you liked the poem and maybe
even a little of my rambling.  There’s
not much else to tell you.  I think I’ve
told you every thing that has gone on
in this crazy place.  The only thing that
I think of to tell you is what I tell you
nearly every week and that is I wrote
some more poems and haiku.  Yeppers
10 more poems and 22 more haiku for
all the haiku lovers out there.  I hope
you can find 1 or 2 of either or both
that you like.  Now I do believe it is
time for me to begin my search for
that silly hardly elusive off switch,  but
surely not before I wish you a blessings
filled week.  Okey dokey,  so where is
that ornery off switch hiding this time?
LOL well well well,  you have totally
picked one of the most obvious places
to be spotted.  You are so silly hehehe.
Hiding on my ESC key does not mean
you will escape my sight.  It only makes
you more easily seen LOL.  Oh so you
just thought it would be a funny thing
to do.  Well all I can say is please don’t
press the key.  That would mess me up.

Within living color
life might display
wonders of beauty
in a magical way.
Seasonal paintings

season with heart.
Creating blessings
that may seem tall
within the season

Seeking for moments
that time took away
we might discover
life’s different array.

as a time’s perception
when looking around.
Take heed your sight
and find you a smile
that’s within today

Autumn’s Remembrance

Remembering the colors
of a drive so long ago
can create the dreams
that a night may flow.
The colors that begin
enhance dying leaves
with a true love of life
that a fall fairy weaves.
Yet within the ending
the colors will fade
becoming as a journey
of a life’s lemonade.
It might seem to sing
and also to dance
in the photos taken as
autumn’s remembrance.

Mind and Sky

Some seconds our minds
might just drift away
into empty daydreams
of a clouded array.
Breezes might blow
when we’re lost in mind
as times might display
what you want to find.
You might even awaken
a time within you
like blue skies of day
that clouds hide the view.
We each have rhythms
that heartbeats apply
transforming moments
into a mind and sky.

display the sights

Becoming a stage
that shows below
an essence of time
as seasons bestow.

for eyes to partake

of a timeless lake.

and dreams within.

Ages of Color

Seasonal photos
taken in time
create doorways
for eyes to find.
Seeming timeless
the ages become
as colors of fall
in a season’s sun.
Time comes alive
as colors unite
bringing in view
a magical sight.
Living artwork
God has made
showing scenes
so heavenly laid.
Stages of scenes
unlike no other
that time displays
as ages of color.

Equations of viewpoints
might supersede
scenes that displayed
what once was seed.
Maybe just a glimmer
of a time we saw
as nows winter white
an essence of awe.
Life’s seasonal scenes
that a heart delights
found as a blessing
life’s wintery sights.

time has a way
creating a dream

enhanced by time
found in autumn
as a seasonal sign.
Segmented beauty
gives us a smile

Colors of Song

Words of a moment
that seasons proclaim
become as the stories
that songs may attain.
Often with a rhythm
displaying their tone
the colors of autumn
are so rarely alone.
Combined with time
that ticks thereunto
the leaves create art
as a so scenic view.
It all becomes words
that life sings along
a fitted composition
as the colors of song.

Snowy Thoughts

The love of a time
can become a dream
like a wintery sight
with a frozen stream.
Time within illusions
can often transpose
as snow upon trees
the moments impose.
It’s only time frames
our mind perceives
becoming as a stage
a wintertime weaves.
Exposing heartbeats
within winter’s frost
creating memories
life’s snowy thoughts.

Haiku
for Oct 5,  2024

Seeking a purpose
you might think you’re useless,
but helping many.

Finding your footing
on an ice covered  driveway
you might just fall down.

Some storms within us
might be imaginary
living in our minds.

When chasing shadows
you might become exhausted
finding that it’s you.

Limitless pathways
are exposed within our life
sometimes never seen.

Minutes and hours
may look like an eternity,
but they’re only seconds.

Trading your pathways
for someone that is reckless
can destroy your life.

Leaping too quickly
can land you in some puddles
that might be real deep.

Yesterday’s thinking
might not be right for today,
so think it over.

Loosening your grip
you might see things different
and find you must trust.

When trying too hard
you might create depression
as thought overwhelms.

The patterns of time
that we might only perceive
are often shadows.

Flavors of a dream
are often something we’ve seen
that we’ve forgotten.

Walking up a hill
you need to have good footing
or you will slide down.

Focusing on life
you might only see shadows
that many once were.

Liars often lie
even when truth is better
because it’s their way.

Flooding ones with hate
can create a time’s regret
if you change your mind.

The farmers of time
plant ideas to be reaped
from the living minds.

Contagious are lies
as many might see them true
and start sharing them.

The answers we find
might not be the ones we want,
but must deal with them.

Taking a small breath
in a room that’s full of smoke
you might suffocate.

Reading someone’s thoughts
you might mistaken the words
for your own thinking.
