Learn To Be Happy

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends
&
HAPPY NEW YEAR

I hope your Christmas was a blessed one and you
were able to spend it with family. Judy and I just
hung out around here and enjoyed each other as
well as our little boys. We gave Benny and Milo
their Christmas Stockings which had a bunch of
little doggie toys in them. It was most definitely a
white Christmas. Benny and Milo went out and
played in the snow. Hehehe Benny just a little bit
more than Milo! Benny loves the snow and hops
around in it like a rabbit hehehe. He likes to lay
down in it and roll around. They love to play chase
as they run back and forth tagging one another.
Benny loves his big brother and I think the feeling
is mutual with Milo. They’re in here right now
chewing on their dental bones. I looked outside
a bit ago and it looks like I might have to dig out
our car a bit maybe tomorrow. I’m not gonna
worry about it today. We ain’t going no where
and I will just have to dig it out again tomorrow.
Oh well, it isn’t too awful bad. It has been worse!
Well, I am snorting and sneezing right now due
to my allergies and they are about to drive me
crazy. Judy’s got em too hehehe, but not quite
as bad as me. I have em all year round. There’s
not much else to report from up here. Judy and I
have been enjoying watching it snow and not
having to go anywhere. It’s 19F degrees right
now at 4 PM and it’s almost time for me to feed
the boys as well as Judy and I. Judy’s wanting
pancakes and sausage and I’m wanting eggs
and sausage, so it looks like I will be busy in
the kitchen when I finish here. We take turns
cooking dinner or whatever hehehe. It’s my
turn. She made Mac and Cheese last night 🙂
I know, Mac and Cheese isn’t hard to make,
but she still did dinner none the less hehehehe.
I’m getting hungry. I think I’m gonna have
to type faster or cut this short LOL. It’s still
snowing outside. Expecting about 4 more
inches today and another inch tonight. So
yes we have snow. It don’t look like it’s going
to go away any time soon hehehe. Milo just
informed us that he needs to go outside and
potty, so Judy took him to the front door and
let him out. I’m reasonably sure he gave the
same look that Benny gave when looking
at all of the snow LOL. Judy just stuck her
head in here and said Milo peed on the steps
this time hehehe being he didn’t want to have
to trudge through the snow to do his number.
LOL poor guys and their short little legs 🙂
Benny just hopped through the snow like a lil
rabbit and found a place to potty, but Milo
ain’t that agile hehehe. He be a tad older
than Benny. I might go outside in a bit and
shovel out some flat spots for them to go
potty as well as shovel off the steps which
have a ton of snow on em. Yet once again
I will have to knock off the snow ledge that’s
hanging over our front door hehehe before
it falls and hurts somebody, namely ME 🙂
We’ve been hearing them fall off and on
with a loud KA-BOOM hehehehehehehe.
I’ve gotten used to the sound, but Judy’s
almost jumped out of her skin a few times
when the snow fell LOL. Even Benny and
Milo have started ignoring them hehehehe.
In any sense, we’re together and happy as
the days are counted. God has most surely
blessed our home. I thank God for giving
me the chance to be with Judy and the boys.
Yes, I get saddened time to time about not
being able to see my family and friends that
are way down south, but I am truly grateful
that I have all that I have here now today.
Life is not about always having what you’re
wanting. It’s about being happy with what
you have. Sometimes the pleasures in life
are hidden in the form of acceptance of all
that you cannot change. Let God live within
you and show you all that you have and show
you acceptance. Let not greed to be your
daily perception. Learn to be happy with the
smaller things and not always wanting what
another has or better. Now that I have gone
and rambled once again, I believe it’s time
for me to be taking my little venture back
through all that I’ve written here to see if I
can find a good word or phrase that might
work well for the title for today’s brand new
poem. So, it’s away I go to that place of my
recollection that I like to call RECOLLECT
VILLE. I think I may have found a good
title. Now, let’s see if I can manage to put
together a few good lines in form of poetry
using it hehehehe. Here goes nothing…..

Learn To Be Happy

Let not your greed to
drive you insane
while you are always
seeking to gain.
Learn to be happy
with lesser to view
and you might find a
smile within you.
Don’t just let wanna
to live full of stride.
Learn to be happy
with what’s on inside.
Sometimes our thinking
can make us to grin
if we will learn to
not seek for sin.
Find through perception
of now and today
how to be happy
with lesser array.
Don’t let your wanna
to drive you insane.
Life can be better
with peace sought to gain.

I hope you enjoyed my rambling and maybe
even the poem hehehe. I need to be finding me a
stopping place here so I can fix us all something
to eat and then go outside and shovel the steps
and the driveway so that Benny and Milo can
go outside and potty without having to do it
in deep snow. Oh yea, my granddaughter
called me Christmas day. We talked a long
time. My daughter hollered I love ya daddy 🙂
while me and Sami talked. I wish I could see
them, but it’s not possible as the way things
are sitting with Judy and I and our health
as well as our finances. Oh well, at least
we have the internet and telephone which
they did not have back in the olden days.
Back in the 30’s and thereabouts if you lived
just 40 or 50 miles away, you may never
see your loved ones due to travel time on
a horse and carriage as well as a train, so
I am grateful that I can see pictures of my
daughter, granddaughter as well and my
mom and other loved ones and friends.
We are fortunate now days, but we often
do not see it. Thank God for all that you
have. Now, it’s time for me to begin my
search for that confounded off switch,
but not before I tell you what I tell you
most every week and that is, I wrote
some more poems and haiku. Yeppers,
10 more poems with 7 of them being
sort of Christmassy hehehe. I also wrote
22 more haiku for all of my haiku lovers
out there. I hope you find a few that
you like. Now before I search for that
off switch, I want to wish you all a safe
and happy New Year. May this next
year show you blessings in abundance.
Now to find that off switch. I see ya
you little varment. Hiding under Benny
in his doggie bed won’t save ya hehehe.
Benny tends to love to play with his bed
turning it upside down ever so often as
he rolls around trying to find a good spot.
Gotcha, see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill and Judy Pearce

Now on with the poems and haiku
10 and 22 hehehehehehehehehe 🙂

Too Many Times

Too often too many
will just sit and frown
when Christmastime is
coming to town.
Too many people
will just sit and stare
while they are saying
that life isn’t fair.
Too often too many
will let time pass by
while they’re not even then
giving a try.
Don’t let the season
of winters prelude
fall on too many
as just misconstrued.
Let Christmas always
to live in your heart
as that of blessings
that God does impart.

Soon After Christmas

Found down an old road
lights twinkle on
soon after Christmas
dusk unto dawn.
Found in the nighttime
deep in the snow
there are some glimmers
seen to and fro.
Soon after Christmas
still they are shining
giving the essence of
Christmas reminding.
Seen on a hillside
there faraway
there is a glimmer
of Christmas day.
Even the snowflakes
falling so free
soon after Christmas
remind you and me.
Blessings are counted
as each snowflake lands
found after Christmas
in the palm of God’s Hands.
Soon after Christmas
we need to find
the continued reflection
of Christmas type mind.

Peering At Winter

The sights and sounds
that winters bring
are soon joined
as people sing.
Peering at winter
through now and today
we might be found
with a Christmas array.
Scenes all around us
so fluffy and white
might display surely
a Christmassy sight.
Peering at winter
through Christmastimes eyes
there can be newness
each day at sunrise.
All that’s remembered
December and more
peering at winter
our hearts can adore.
Yet we must look passed
those seasons so sad
and see the goodness
of which that we’ve had.
Searching through seasons
of times front and center
we need to find
Christmas peering at winter.

The Shade of Now

A simple sight
of nows perception
might be found
with needed correction.
The shade of now
that now perceives
might be found
as falling leaves.
Yet those leaves
within your sight
might just need
some better light.
The shade of now
might seem so grey
as you’re looking
day after day.
Now’s but a moment
shaded in time
maybe not clearly
within its design.
Let not nows shading
to be all you see,
for time might display
what’s better to be.

I Now Can Recall

Remembering moments
I Now can recall
Christmassy mornings
with trees oh so tall.
Lights all a glistening
twinkling too
I can envision
that wonderful view.
I now can recall
that fantastic sight
as we went driving
on Christmas eve night.
All of the rooftops
with reindeer and sleighs
displayed old Santa
for those Christmas days.
Scenes with a snowman
standing so tall
are many things
I now can recall.
Also lit nicely
were mangers and more
with Baby Jesus
to love and adore.
I now can recall
all those wonderful sights
found during Christmas
my thought reunites.

After Then

Looking passed seashores
of winters arrival
scenes all awaken
the Christmas revival.
Well after then
are the things we remember
looking passed seashores
found in December.
Found after then
are the pages to turn
found as an ocean
that time can discern.
Christmastimes blessings
seen washing ashore
bring us great blessings
with much to adore.
After then comes
then surely the sight
can become heartfelt
that ones can delight.
Seashores of blessings
right now and agin
can be the chances
forgiven from sin.

Heart Pool of Love

A minute of now
brings seasons of time
giving us stages
that we can design.
Scenes in the making
of times push and shove
can become loosely
a heart pool of love.
Learning from mishaps
done then before
can make the heart pool
of love to be more.
Allowing forgiveness
to live and to breathe
a heart pool of love
that ones can conceive.
Let not your anger
to find you alone.
Search for the heart pool
of love to atone.
Found within Jesus
through His Holy Name
a heart pool of love
you then can attain.

Comforting Calm

When in the season
of winters arrival
there is Lord Jesus
to help with survival.
A comforting calm
to gather your view
found in December
a Baby so new.
This little Baby
that God had adorn
gave of Himself
to fleshly be born.
When amidst sadness
seek Him and pray
Jesus my Savoir
please help me today.
See in December
how Christmas arose
giving the blessings
of Hell to oppose.
Found in a manger
that wonderful boy
brought us forgiveness
to be filled with joy.
That comforting calm
from so long ago
still lives and breathes
to help us to grow.

The Snow Comes

The stage is set
for wintertime
here and now
in its design.
The snow comes
again each day
with its own
snow white display.
The setting’s found
as time moves on
as we’re found
that fall is gone.
Snowflakes fall down
from the skies
often landing
in my eyes.
Then as mounds
are risen true
there are pictures
in my view.
The snow comes
as time displays
stages set
for winters days.

The Conversation

The many words
that time has heard
might be found
a bit absurd.
The conversation
found so clear
might be heard
as insincere.
The many sights
we see and touch
might be seen
as much to much.
The conversation
in our mind
might be found
a bit unkind.
Inner thoughts
of words of phrase
might be found
within a haze.
The conversation
that you think
might just be
a ship to sink.
Think it over
clear today
before the words
ones hear you say.

Haiku
for Dec 29, 2012

Today might be good
no matter how bad it seems.
It could be your view.

Believing in dreams
lets the chances for true love
to be when it’s right.

Beyond our success
are gifts God has given
that we may not see.

Today is a day
that’s filled with many chances
to greaten our lives.

Snow driven mornings
bring the sunlight of the day
to be snow blinding.

Now is a shadow
of what our yesterday was,
but it can be changed.

The lines on a face
might display more than wanted
and reveal the lies.

Long awaited moments
could blow up in our faces
if we’re not ready.

Blaming another
for something you’re not sure of
could end a friendship.

Within a doorway
there are chances to be seen
that time will reveal.

People found yelling
could become lonely in time
unless they pipe down.

Scenes throughout winter
come alive as white snowflakes
fall towards the Earth.

Remembering heartbeats
lets them live and breathe in life
even when they’re gone.

Boarding up anger
could soon become deadly scenes
as walls tumble down.

Finding steppingstones
sometimes means losing footing
once in a great while.

Left over feelings
from yesterdays concussions
might cause you problems.

The wonders of time
come in fractions of minutes
that seconds don’t see.

Averting speed bumps
might also prevent lessons,
but also much pain.

Things we remember
can become problems today
if they are no good.

Losing a snowflake
in the midst of a snow bank
describes many lives.

Clinging to today
when tomorrow is present
might just slow you down.

Wrong ways of running
leads to headways of problems
that might cause despair.
