ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

It’s cooling down more and more as the
days pass us by.  Right now at 1:48 PM
it’s 71 F degrees which is supposed to be
the high for today.  It’s supposed to be in
the 60’s and 70’s all week long.  It looks
like we might be getting a porch added
onto our house.  Our landlord brought a
porch add on over yesterday and said he
is going to put it on our house,  but that
means we will have to use the back door
for a while when or until he is done,  but
our back door steps are far worse than
our front steps and not to mention that
we cannot drive our car around to the
back of the house and it would be hell
for us having to walk where his tractor
has messed up the ground.  Anyways, we
are hoping when and if he gets started
on it,  he won’t take but a few days on
it.  It would be nice.  We could sit out
on the porch and enjoy the day as well
as having a bit more room.  Right now
our single wide mobile home is a tad
crowded with no room to do anything.
We could also park our bikes in it when
the weather gets bad.  So that’s what’s
planned for the near future.  Next topic.
Judy and her sisters and a couple of
her cousins got together for craft night
and did some great stuff.  They always
do,  but they are getting better with
each thing they do.  Judy’s turning out
to be a great little painter.  So are her
sisters and daughters.  Yep,  even her
daughters have joined in.  I might give
painting another go in the next day or
so if Judy has any paper left hehehe 🙂
I’m not quite sure what it would be that
I would paint,  but I’m thinking.  No
harm in trying.  Thankfully we get much
of our paint from the dollar store and
it doesn’t cost that much.  She gets the
paper from Walmart and it only cost a
few bucks.  So,  who knows.  Although
I think a majority of my talent is poetry
and rambling along with maybe a little
bit of photography and drumming LOL.
I’m always looking around to see what
I can find that I think Judy can use for
a craft.  I’ve gone around our house and
picked up a few rocks that look like they
could be painted and made into artwork.
Hey,  it gives me something to do 🙂  God
knows I need more things to do to keep
my mind busy hehehe.  Anyways,  I do
love to help Judy with her crafts with
ideas.  I’m an idea type of guy don’t ya
know it hehehe.  Yep,  I’m a thinker,
but the problem is,  my thinker never
ever shuts down to give me rest.  It’s
always in search mode for thoughts to
find either for poetry or for creations
to help Judy with and many occasions
just filled with empty thoughts that in
some form flavor or fashion might come
to use on one distant day,  or not LOL.
I already have problems sleeping due to
aches and pains hehehe.  Nope,  sleep
does not know my name.  Judy keeps
saying go to sleep and I keep asking
her for a map,  because I cannot seem
to find the place LOL. I keep expecting
her to one day paint a map to a place
that she calls Sleep and give it to me 🙂
It could happen hehehe!  It’s a cloudy
day today and supposed to be mostly
cloudy all week long with a chance
for a few showers on Wednesday and
Thursday.  Yes siree,  summertime has
lost its interest with us up this ways.
Of course it has never been like it is
down Texas ways and thereabouts 🙂
Of course our winters are a bit more
whiter and colder than down Texas
ways and thereabouts also hehehe.
I actually love wintertime with the
snow.  Snow seems to make things
that were once just a lowly rundown
house or barn and turn them into
a painting and trees glistening in the
sunlight become dreams with eyes
wide opened.  I also love Autumn as
the leaves begin painting pictures
with their variety of colors.  It’s sad
that fall only last but a very short
time.  LOL of course I’m guessing
that grounds keepers think just the
opposite hehehe.  I can imagine that
raking leaves can become a bitter
nightmare in some cases hehehe 🙂
Yet,  I still thank God for all of the
beauty He gives me to see with the
clouds of formations and scenes
that come alive in the sunlight and
the stars.  God is the only One that
can take anything and turn it into
artwork.  It’s the viewer that will
discern the pictures as God paints
them everywhere to see.  The scene
might be sad,  but still artwork to
bring alive the mind.  Yes,  God is
the greatest artist.  There is no one
that can paint a hillside or mountain
view as well as God.  Take a look
around you today and see what all
you can find.  Now I believe it’s time
for me to be taking a little tour back
through all that I’ve written here to
see if I can find a good word or phrase
that I can use for the title for today’s
brand new poem.  So it’s away I go
to that little place through my thoughts
and recollections that I always like to
call RECOLLECT VILLE.  I believe
I found a decent title about halfway
back in my rambling.  Now to see if
I can do anything with it.  Here goes.

Empty Thoughts

Shells with voids
of empty words,
time disperses
flocks of birds.
Empty thoughts
that fly by day
then become
a will and way.
Some as pathways
without roads
that ones tarry
with their loads.
Some as patterns
thoughts foretell
that now seem
an empty shell.
Yet no matter
time finds lots,
lessons learned from
empty thoughts.

There ya go.  I hope that make a little
sense to ya.  I can’t help it.  That’s how
my mind works.  As I do most times,  I
wrote the poem is less than 2 minutes 🙂
My old automatic writing just takes on
a life of its own.  I get a thought and it
just seems to explode in writing hehehe.
It drives me crazy at times when I am in
bed trying to sleep and my mind decides
to recite brand new poems to write LOL.
Then if I don’t get up and at least write
down the titles,  I’ll forget them and it
will drive me nuts hehehe.  Not much
rest for the thinker LOL.  Sleeping pills
and pain pills only keep me awake,  so
no chance of help in that mode.  Most
of the time I will just lie there and pray.
Sometimes that will allow me to nod
off for a bit.  No matter,  I’m surviving
and I’m sure I’ll continue until my time
in this old worn out body is done and
it’s time for me to go home to Heaven.
Oh yea,  guess what.  Wednesday the
31,  I’ll be 60.  Yeppers,  the old Santa
looking poet is getting older and older.
Oh yea,  something I forgot to add on
the subject of our porch.  Our landlord
is selling the property and it now has
me in fear of what will happen when he
does.  Will we get another landlord
and will they be good or bad?  I guess
it’s in God’s Hands.  No matter,  it’s
time for me to be telling you what I tell
you every week and that is,  I wrote
some more poems and haiku.  Yeppers,
10 more poems.  No Christmas poems
this week hehehe.  Maybe next week 🙂
I also wrote 22 more haiku for all of
the haiku lovers out there.  Oh yea,  2
of the poems are about Baxter State
Park where Judy and I went earlier
this month and took pictures.  I hope
you like them.  I hope you can find
1 or 2 of the poems and or haiku
that you like.  Now I believe it’s time
for me to begin my search for that
not so elusive off switch :),  but not
before I wish you a most wonderful
weekend or whatever’s left of it and
a week filled with blessings.  Now,
where is that confounded off switch
hiding this time?  Hmm,  I think I see
a bit of movement behind my foot
grinder.  Yeppers,  I can see you 🙂
You might want to try hiding behind
something that is not that skiny next
time like maybe a camera or something.
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

P.S  A link to Judy’s new book as at
the end of the journal along with the
others.  Enjoy 🙂

P.S. again.  I put a few of the pictures
that Judy did in the stationery.  She’s
my little artist 🙂  Also there are two
pictures of Judy with her new scarf
and her holding three of her books.
Also the last picture is of our porch
add on.  It’s now sitting in the field
awaiting to be attached 🙂

Now it’s on with the poems and haiku
10 and 22 hehehehehehehehehehe 🙂

The Lands Of Time

Passing days
to scenes of past
the lands of time
are shadows cast.
Native Indians
then were found
standing on
their Holy ground.
The lands of time
were better then
for the life
of the Indian.
Watching mornings
sun to rise
the lands of time
in true blue skies.
Soil was always
used to grow
things of life
to help them so.
But the pages
stories found
the new days come
to build a town.
Lost in sequence
the lands of time
then became
a five and dime.
Yet those moments
time remembers
still shine bright
as burning embers.
The lands of time
on native soil
shows the trials
of which they toil.
Scenes as echoes
now and then
the lands of time
for the Indian.

Mountains And Lakes

Time is a porthole
that many go through
seeing all the things
from old to anew.
Mountains and lakes
are scenes so divine
that a photographer
daily shall find.
Mountains and lakes
where waters run free,
this is an essence
that God gave to see.
The stage is a scene
that life wanders through
mountains and lakes
of time thereunto.
Often so Heavenly
a moment partakes
lifetimes remembered
mountains and lakes.

Shapes Of Time

Space is dispersed
times around
minutes showing
sight and sound.
Many moments
shapes of time
show us portions
minutes find.
Some might just be
seconds counted
shapes of time
with some surmounted.
As a painting
times might seem
shapes of time
a bright moon beam.
Minutes tick on
shapes of time
with the things
we daily find.

A Scenic Road

Within a mere journey
some mysteries form
on pathways of lifestyles
where new days are born.
A scenic road of time
becomes as a river
flowing with momentum
that it can deliver.
The artistry of blessings
takes form as a mile
painting all the minutes
that times can compile.
Each scene is remembered
as a photo of time
not only by your camera,
but within your mind.
The weight of your visions
might seem as a load
as you drive on for hours
down a scenic road.

Far Beyond

A thought you have
that comes in frame
might just be
a time insane.
The far beyond
what now is found
might be up
or might be down.
So many thoughts
that we surmise,
might just be
our own disguise.
Some as a dream
that comes alive
far beyond
what should survive.
Thinking of things
so far beyond
the dusk of day
and mornings dawn.

Another Path

A walking path
through day to day
brings forth times
another way.
Things are changing
scenes we’ve found,
which the years
have tossed around.
Another path
of which we choose
might hold things
of which amuse.
But the things
might be so wrong
a winding path
with saddened song
Yet the hours
and days that pass
give us choices
another path.

Baxter State Park

Alive with its passion
the mountains and hills
time was a painting
filled full of thrills.
Rivers found flowing
on throughout a while,
Baxter State Park
for many a mile.
The trees were alive
as each one swayed
painting their pictures
so fervently made.
We stopped oh so often
to get out and look
at scenes within scenes
as a magical book.
Around every pathway
a new sight would dawn
bringing alive photos
that we would carry on.
Steams ran  peaceful
as time went its way
our drive went onwards
with more to display.
As pages in a book
filled chock full of smiles
the journey went on
for so many miles.
Each path would open
and display a view
as the trees gave way
for times to accrue.
Baxter State Park
has so much to see
that a day’s not enough
to set our sights free.
So we will return
for another remark,
taking more photos at
Baxter State Park.

Me In The Mirror

Looking at wrinkles
the ages have brought,
me in the mirror
my hurry has sought.
Lifetimes of struggles
find me very clear,
me in the mirror
of my yesteryear.
My smile is weathered,
but still holds so true,
me in the mirror
that I daily view.
We’ve all got reflections
that mirrors expose,
time in a bottle
our highs and our lows.
Me in the mirror
are moments discerned,
pathways I’ve chosen,
lessons I’ve learned.

Blessings Uncountable

Each day I am filled with
God’s every minute
things I have been through
with Him always in it.
No matter my struggles
of then thereunto
my blessings uncountable
always shine through.
Lifetimes of problems
have made me much stronger
as blessings uncountable
lasted much longer.
Lord God has always been
with me throughout time
as He’s often helped me
to see clear the sign.
My views of my passed days
hold me accountable
learning my lessons from
blessings uncountable.

Shattered Skies

Blue skies of morning
bring forth a day
sometimes as shattered
moments of gray.
Skies with such billows
of cloudy formations
that seem to create
their own constellations.
Then a mere storm cloud
comes and designs
darkness within it
to tell of the times.
Shattered skies forming
lightning and thunder
sights and the sounds
that seem to asunder.
Shattered with beauty
as each moment’s found,
the sky is enlightened
with its sight and sound.
Displayed as heartbeats
found to arise,
this is what I call then
so shattered skies.

Haiku
for Aug 27,  2016

The windows and doors
that we each walk and look through
can decide our path.

Our lessons disposed
will repeat the performance
of things you should learn.

Clouds of a moment
will often create patterns
that you recognize.

A life hindered rose
may not blossom its beauty,
but be remembered.

Driving too quickly
can hurry your own demise
and take ones with you.

The age of humans
is a guess that’s misconceived
due to lack of proof.

Various doorways
will display a reflection
of you and your path.

Now is just a time
that will soon become our past
as our future grows.

Heaven is a place
with life without any pain
and love magnified.

Trails of a hiker
often find themselves covered
as time is exposed.

Showers of raindrops
become as a refreshment
to life at its source.

Kneeling down praying
gives you strength abundantly
as God hears your prayers.

Trading our places
might leave us in a muddle
for what we traded.

Misfortune is life
as it disperses our lessons
from many struggles.

Without a morning
an evening cannot exist,
for it needs its time.

Shadows in moonlight
bring forth many mysteries
that become ones fear.

Nobodies perfect,
for we all have a few flaws,
some more than others.

Hardheaded people
will often stand firm their choice
even if it’s wrong.

Butterflies of life
will flutter in the daylight
to sleep in the night.

Lightning bugs will shine
as a twinkle in the night
while they go their way.

Hardships of time
become the teachers of life
with lessons that last.

The rains of summer
bring heartbeats of life alive
as they quench a thirst.
