ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

It’s been a nice passed week.  Last Tuesday
we went to Houlton Farms Ice Cream in town
for the last time this year.  Today was the last
day it would be opened.  It closes up when the
kids start back to school.  It’s mostly school
kids that operate it.  Anyways,  we went three
times this year and got ice cream 🙂  This last
time we both got a parfait,  mmm yummy 🙂
Judy has been trying to help the rest of the
family get her brothers house ready for him
to come home.  It needs a lot of work,  but it
will get done.  Ricky is not doing well at all,
but he doesn’t want his last days to be in the
nursing home.  We hope that it will all go well,
but time will tell.  So,  next topic.  The weather
has been fairly nice.  In the 60’s and 70’s F.
Right now at 4:26 PM it’s 69 F and looking a
little rainy.  It rained a little bit last night,  but
nothing of a grand scale.  The high for today
is supposed to be 73 F,  but I don’t think it’s
gonna make it.  Judy had craft night again
last night at her sister’s house and they did
a Halloween theme.  Judy decorated some
mason jars and they look pretty cool.  They
have all gotten into painting and they are all
getting pretty good.  Judy’s right behind me
sitting at her desk painting at this moment.
She’s painting a teddy bear 🙂  I’ve used a
few of her paintings for picture poetry and
they’ve come out pretty nice.  I’m so proud
of her.  She’s the gifted one in this family.
All I can do is scribble or type a few words
on a piece of paper or in an email.  I’m sure
most of it nobody reads LOL.  Though I’m
glad I have the ability to get my thoughts
out of my head and into writing,  because
otherwise  my head would explode hehehe.
I think if it were not for my writing ability
and rhythm,  I would of been dead years
ago.  Nah,  I’m sure a few of you read my
writings.  I can tell by your comments 🙂
Yeppers,  combined with my weird sense
of humor,  my life has been hanging on
by a thread, I might add, at times 🙂 LOL.
My love for photography is also a large
contributor to my life.  I simply love to
take pictures of things such as scenery,
people and pets.  Judy has also got that
component of life about her.  That’s one
of the things that brought us together and
holds us together.  So what else is there
to ramble about?  Hmm!  Well,  I think
Benny is having winter fever.  He loves
snow and I can see it in his eyes.  He’s
outside now sitting under the car looking
out at the driveway,  more than likely in
a fantasy world.  Last year when we got
Rocky,  he proved to be a snow loving
pooch also, as the first day of snow saw
them both running side by side out into
the midst of it,  bouncing around putting
their faces into the snow LOL.  Yeppers,
we’ve got 2 snow loving dogs and it’s a
good thing,  because they’ve got a snow
loving dad 🙂  I think Benny can tell that
the weather is getting cooler with each
passing day.  The high for tomorrow is
supposed to be 67 F,  which is quite nice
in my book.  In another couple of months
we’ll have to buy some heating oil,  but
not yet.  If we need to use the furnace we
still have maybe 30 gallons of heating oil
leftover from last year.  I hope that the
oil prices don’t start going back up too
soon.  Of course,  there’s nothing that
we can do about that.  We’ll survive as
long as we’re meant to survive 🙂  The
sky is still looking cloudy outside.  Rain
is in the forecast for tomorrow.  I bet
there’s a few Texans that would love to
have some weather like we’re having 🙂
Of course that would all change when
wintertime comes upon us LOL.  Oh
well,  we get to have a white Christmas
along with the beauty of the snow and
all that it creates.  Snow can make even
the ugliest house to look like a painting.
Time is marching on and autumn will
soon be knocking on our door.  Then,
Judy and I will be heading back down
to Baxter State Park to take some fall
photos.  We’re both looking forward to
that.  God has shown us many blessings
and I could not be more thankful.  My
past was a nightmare,  but it had a few
dreams within it,  such as my lovely
daughter and granddaughter.  Many
of the friends that I have met have also
became family to me.  Even through
darkness of the storms,  I found a few
silver linings to make it all worth while.
Thank You God for all that You have
given me and shown me.  My blessings
are great.  So,  now I guess it’s time
for me to be taking a little trip back
through all that I’ve written here to
see if I can find a good word or phrase
that I can use for the title for today’s
brand new poem and so it’s away that
I go to that lil place of my recollection
that I always like to call RECOLLECT
VILLE.  I think I found a decent title
just a few lines back.  Now to see if I
can write anything read worthy using
it LOL.  Here goes.

Time Is Marching

Footsteps making
place in time
leaving footprints
own design.
Time is marching
there and to
leaving then
a moment’s view.
Life’s cascading
like a falls
leaving shadows
on the walls.
Time is marching
face to face
leaving lessons
to enlace.
Words of wisdom,
sight and sound,
time is marching
all around.

Well  there ya go.  I hope the poem made
at least a little bit of sense to you and you
were not just left scratching your head 🙂
Also I hope that my rambling didn’t bore
you to tears and put you to sleep unless of
course you needed rest and then I guess
I’m happy to help LOL.  I had to stop for
a moment to give Benny a little butt wash.
He had a poopy butt.  He didn’t want to
come back inside and I could tell why by
the way he was looking at me cowering,
but after a lil coaxing I managed to get
him to come inside and now after a lil
bath he’s all spunky again 🙂  Oh yea,
I’ve got some great news.  My daughter
Jamye is soon to be married to Brennon
Ewen.  I can tell that Jamye is happier
than I have ever seen her.  Brennon is
a great guy.  He’s a police officer and
a decent man.  I’m sure he will make
Jamye a wonderful husband and Sami
a great step dad.  I look forward to the
day that I meet him in person.  He plays
guitar hehehe,  so him and Sami  can
jam with me whenever they make it up
this way 🙂  So,  I guess that’s all of the
news.  Now it’s time for me to tell you
what I tell you almost every week and
that is,  I wrote some more poems and
haiku.  Yeppers, 10 more poems with
2 of them being sort of Christmassy.
I did though get sort of carried away
again and wrote 7 extra poems, so that
ups the total to 17.  I also wrote once
again 22 haiku for all of the haiku
lovers out there.  I hope you can find
1 or 2 of either or both that you like.
So all that’s left is for me to begin my
search for that off switch that’s terrible
at hiding,  but not before I wish you
a wonderful weekend or whatever’s
left of it and a truly blessings filled
week.  Remember,  Jesus loves you
and we do too.  Now,  where is that
ornery off switch hiding this time?
Hmm,  I think I spy with my 1 good
eye a bit of movement behind the jar of
Pro Sense Tear Stain remover hehehe.
LOL hiding behind the boys medicines
now are ya?  Well,  not bad,  but you
could do better by not always peeking
out to see if I can see you.  Maybe next
week 🙂  Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

P.S  A link to Judy’s new book as at
the end of the journal along with the
others.  Enjoy 🙂

Now it’s on with the poems and haiku
10+7 and 22 hehehehehehehehehehe 🙂

Out To Sea

Rowing in a little boat
through rolling waves of time
out to sea one struggles on
to see what he can find.
The waves come crashing
trying to hold him back,
but through desperation
he stays on track.
Rowing just knowing
that he’ll make it through
while he’s out to sea
in the ocean of blue.
The scenes he’s seeing
are quickly the past,
for soon he looks back
and sees shadows cast.
Rowing in a little boat
his pathways applaud
for he had the strength
that was given from God.

The Fisherman

This man he fishes
in mornings sun,
the fisherman
has then begun.
The waves roll in
upon his feet,
but he still fishes
food to eat.
The fisherman
tosses his line
into the waves
of rolling time.
The echoes heard
are clear to hear
as seagulls sing
like yesteryear.
The fisherman
patiently waits
to see the food
to fill his plates.
The waves roll in
and still abide
to give his bait
a bumpy ride.
He still fishes
on and on
in the mornings
early dawn.
Time is nothing
but a plan
to catch some fish,
the fisherman.

Before You Know It

Each day brings stories,
times to see
that then become
our history.
The minutes tick on
day to day
as shadows gleam
a wondrous way.
Those Christmas mornings
times remembered,
thoughts of Santa,
gifts delivered.
Scenes as essence
red and green
before you know it,
it is seen.
The songs that are sung
of which we know,
we often hear
on the radio.
Before you know it,
it will be here,
the time for giving
Christmas cheer.
The places remembered
from our past
might just be
a shadows cast,
but before you know it,
it will show,
in many places
Christmas snow.
Scenes with wonderful
timeless ages,
lights lit up
with Christmas stages.
A manger scene
with angels singing,
before you know it
the bells will be ringing.
The lights of Christmas
day and night,
before you know it
you will delight.
It’s not the presents
that bring the joy,
it’s the blessings
to enjoy.
Being grateful
for life to live
and then also
sought to give.
So hold on to wishes
for they might come true,
as the season
shares them with you
Before you know it,
it will be here,
Christmastime
is coming near.

Staring At The Stars

Me and my doggy
stare at the sky,
searching the stars
up so very high.
The stars all twinkle
a word or two
to me and my doggy,
those stars in view.
It seems as a story,
it seems as a tale,
staring at the stars
the night skies compel.
Just like a good book
to read in the night,
the stars envelop
our every sight.
Me and my doggy
search out there so far
while sat together
staring at the stars.

The Style Of Time

A stage of an age
with timeless complexion
brings heartbeats alive
in a wondrous collection.
It’s the style of time
that greatly exposes
that many don’t see
due to snubbed up noses.
The lives of many
are counted as smiles
as the style of time
flows down many aisles.
Memories portioned
through a looking glass
as the style of time
that comes to pass.
The seasons will show
the greatest design
sweetly remembered,
the style of time.

A Life’s Journey

Hands without no one
and ones with a lot
leaves ones to wonder
what all that they’ve got.
Without a sad time,
but with better days
displays many journeys
of some wanted arrays.
For sinking ships of life
may not have some oars,
but still be with smiles
as their moments time soars.
It’s the view within with
or without what shall be
that concludes of the sight
or way that ones see.
We might see ones lacking
in what all we’ve got,
yet with or without
they might have a lot.
For ones filled with greed
and pockets with holes
are with or without
a life’s wanted goals.
Yet a life’s journey
with very few needs
with or without
finds God intercedes.

Across The Way

Standing on some
rocks with waves
time is billowed
timeless days.
Scenes as echoes
time that’s found,
across the way
is solid ground.
Waves a crashing
on the shore,
scenes collected
I adore.
Across the way
behind my eyes,
the sea displays
some foggy skies.
Blue with passion
day to day,
I still dream
across the way.

Summer’s Pond

Tiny ripples
so precise,
summer’s pond
beneath the skies.
Seasons threshold
finds a clue,
grasses growing
thereunto.
Summer’s pond
is there to show,
it gives essence
grass to grow.
As we pass by
then and there,
summer’s pond
is unaware.
It just ripples
in its way
with its stories
day to day.

My Dad And I

The years have passed
and time has told
my dad and I
from days of old.
The pages turned
and now I see
my dad and I
through history.
The years ahead
of timeless days
brought us through
a moments maze.
Yet the doorways
opened wide
and my dad and I
walked inside.
We connected
by and by
as time took steps
my dad and I.
Dad’s in Heaven
now today
as I have grown
so old and gray.
I still feel him
within my heart
my dad and I
shall never part.
The scenes of time
shall stay in place
my dad and I
we’re saved by grace.

A Certain Scene

Seeming painted
time’s displayed,
snow filled winters
Christmas made.
A certain scene
with snow of white
makes a dream
to come in sight.
A certain scene
in our front yard
can be made
a Christmas card.
The rooftop glistens
whitish phase
found within
those winter days.
Distant trees
are seen as well
a certain scene
of times detail.
The time is now
but just a dream
of Christmastime
a certain scene.

A Teardrop Falls

A life begins
and then it ends
to begin agin
as time transcends.
A teardrop falls
as time is made,
someone’s day
is lifeless laid.
The pages turn
to other scenes,
a teardrop falls
becoming streams.
The essence of
a family
is found within
what God gave free.
A teardrop falls
for ending days,
but then begins
another phase.

Seascape Home

Ships seen sailing
across the way,
a seascape home
of day to day.
A picture painted,
sights to see
displays motions
oceans free.
With the artwork
time stands still,
a seascape home
that times fulfill.
Abstract scenes
so pictured true,
a seascape home
within the view.
Each with portions
ones have known
an ocean view
and seascape home.

Winter’s Pond

Trees reflections,
winter’s pond
says the season’s
almost gone.
The reflection
shows a barn
of reddish hue
with winters yarn.
Leaves from fall
are melting true,
winter’s pond
displays its view.
Ageless moments
come alive
times reflections
in my eyes.
Minutes frolic
in the sun,
winter’s pond
has just begun.

Snowy River

Wintertime’s chanting
for rivers run wild
while the snow’s melting
for springs reconcile.
A small snowy river
makes pathways to find
wintertime’s journey
with a cold state of mind.
Summertime’s memoir
is that of a place
found in the heartbeat
of a seasonal taste.
Yet a snowy river
still flows as it will
while it is writing
with a snow melted quill.
Yes this snowy river
is a blessing from God
as springtime awakens
with life to applaud.

Rising Lights

Hours have passed on
to leave certain sights,
stars that will twinkle,
those great rising lights.
Of course they are always
there which to shine,
but when the day’s risen
the stars don’t entwine.
Evening brings glimmers
that twinkle so bright
along with the moon
that’s found in the night.
The scenes all become
an enchanted design
found in the night sky
a sweet dream of time.
Rising lights of evening
show wonderful sights
with firefly’s flying
as magical sprites.
The heavens awaken
to display so fine
rising lights of night
from God so divine.

Haiku
for Sept 17,  2016

A place of a rose
displays certain ways to grow
that it can survive.

Sights of a dreamer
might become something so true
if it’s meant to be.

In a painters mind
lives the existence of time
with abstract colors.

A bumblebee’s choice
is determined when it’s born
and it accepts it.

A sound of nature
becomes a dreamers ocean
with waves crashing through.

Summertime’s raindrops
fall as blessings from the sky
and often nightmares.

A stargazers sight
begins with an assumption
that there’s more to see.

Our windows and doors
are true magnets to trouble
when opened too fast.

Shelter from a storm
can be a mere willow tree
that weeps just for you.

Mood changing moments
can be detoured with choices
not to get angry.

Lessons from our past
might be the things we hated,
but taught us so well.

Starlight of design
is a sailors guide of life
as a map of lights.

Flames of a fire
can consume many hours
within its lifespan.

Chance is a moment
that comes at a precise time
and then it is passed.

Holding on to things
can become stacks of baggage
without room for new.

People and places
become known for where they’re from
and not who they are.

A persons actions
becomes others perceptions
as daylight meets night.

Perfection is flawed,
for we are all imperfect
flaws of perfection.

Desires of the heart
can lead you down the wrong path,
so use common sense.

Beyond what we see
is a sky filled with wonder
and some mysteries.

In a moments pause
there is still life moving on,
for time continues.

Life and death is real,
but many don’t understand,
with death there is life.
