The Bottom

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

It’s been a hot one up here in Maine
for the passed few days.  Friday was a
high of 91 and Saturday was a high of
82.  Today’s high is 76 which it is near
right now at 75 degrees.  Tomorrows
high is supposed to be 80 and the rest
of the week bouncing from the upper
70’s to the lower 80’s and that means
I will be staying inside quite a bit only
to go out and mow a bit time to time.
I cannot handle hot weather and to
me,  the upper 70’s and 80’s is HOT.
I hope you had a happy and safe 4th
of July.  I stayed home while Judy
went to her daughter Mandy’s house
to celebrate.  The boys stayed home
with me too.  Then yesterday Judy
went up to her nephews house to do
a little more celebrating and once
again I stayed home.  Reason being
on both accounts,  I was not feeling
well.  I was suffering a bit of vertigo.
So,  my 4th of July was boring as it
is most often.  Oh well,  life goes on.
Anyways,  Rocky went for a dental
check up July 5th.  he lost a tooth
the other day and we wanted to make
sure his other teeth were OK.  The
vet said his teeth looked good,  that
Shih-Tzus are often known for the
loss of teeth time to time.  Oh yea,
on the July 2nd Judy and I headed
out in the field with the boys for a
little field trip and no sooner than
we got out there it became a down
pour,  like the bottom dropped out.
We got drenched and so did the boys.
The funny thing is Benny is normally
the last one to head back home,  but
he hates rain and he passed us both
up running as fast as his little legs
could carry him.  Rocky on the other
hand,  walked along with us.  Judy
tried to take a few pictures of me in
the rain.  I held my camera up under
my shirt to keep it dry 🙂  It was a
short lived field trip LOL.  The boys
got a rainwater fresh bath,  but for
some reason they only smelled like
wet dogs Hahaha.  Anyways,  Judy
took a lot of pictures this week of
her 4th of July and the days after 🙂
I took a few pictures on our drives
to and from town as always.  People
keep asking me  where the snow is,
like we have snow 12 months a year.
We do have a small window that is
mostly found in summer that there
is no snow ya know LOL.  My new
neighbor just came and asked for
my help.  He wanted help hauling
our old mattress out to the trash pile
that has begun to the left of the field.
It’s out there now.  It was freaking
heavy.  It was soaked with rainwater.
We bought us a new mattress during
the winter and I threw the old one
out the back door and tried to pull
it to the end of our house,  but the
snow was just too deep.  Our ladder
should be here Thursday,  so I can
get started doing a few repairs on
our porch to keep birds and wasp
out of the roof.  There’s one part
that I will not be able to fix,  but
it doesn’t seem to be the problem,
at least not at the moment hehehe.
So what else is going on around
this place?  Hmm,  not much as it
is too warm for me to do much 🙂
Right now it’s 76 degrees which is
not that bad,  but even 76 can make
me pass out if I am not careful,  so
I try not to push it.  If I go out to
do some mowing,  I will carry out
a couple of chairs and station them
near where I am mowing so I can
sit down before I fall down LOL.
As the years pile up on me the heat
gets harder and harder for me to
handle,  but I’ll find ways to deal
with it 🙂  LOL being our mower
is battery powered it often runs
low about the time I do,  so I can
stop and rest,  then change out the
battery and put the drained one
on the charger 🙂 and I get a drink
to charge myself as well hehehe.
There’s not much else going on
here at the Pearce’s Place.  God is
still watching over us as well as
many angels are protecting us 🙂
Thank You God for all that You
do for us and all that You will do.
Now,  I believe it’s time for me
to have a little look back on all
that I’ve written here to see if I
can find a good word or phrase
that I can use for the new title for
today’s brand spanking new poem.
So it’s away I go to that place
of my recollection that I always
like to call RECOLLECT VILLE.
I think I may of found a decent
title just about a quarter of the
way from the beginning of all of
my rambling which now after
checking shows that it has not
been used yet,  so used it shall be.
Here goes nothing hehehe…

The Bottom

The top of our life
might seem to glow
with things we love
that times bestow.
Yet at the bottom
some good will thrive
to help us much later
to each day survive.
Life is a doorway
that opens our views
and also closes
the times to choose.
The bottom of life
might seem as dirt
times when we find
we might get hurt.
Yet in perspective
the pain can become
a teacher of life
as a beating drum.
Thank God for this
that comes and goes
the times of life
with highs and lows.

There ya go.  I hope you liked the
poem and maybe even my rambling.
I can ramble can’t I hahaha.  So is
there anything I have forgotten to
tell you aside from the regular LOL?
Nope,  don’t think so and so I guess
it’s time for me to tell you what I tell
you every week and that is,  I wrote
some more poems and haiku.  Yep,
10 more poems,  but 1 of them is a
Christmas poem this week.   I also
wrote 22 more haiku for all of the
haiku lovers out there.  I hope you
can find 1 or 2 of either or both that
you like.  With that said I reckon it
is time for me to begin my search
for that hardly elusive off switch,
but not before I wish you all a most
blessed week.  Remember,  Jesus
loves you and we do too.  So OK,
where is that dad burned ornery
off switch trying to hide this week?
Hmmmm LOL I see ya,  you silly
thing.  Did you actually think that
little pepper shaker was big enough
for you to hide behind?  Well it’s
not.  Maybe if you were actually
hiding behind it and not just sort
of behind it.  You need to practice
on your hiding skills.  They suck 🙂
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

Breath of Autumn

Through a door
a road to gaze
breath is breathed
for future days.
Autumn’s glory
becomes attune
a song of nature
a time to groom.
Leaves becoming
colorful sights
breath of autumn
life delights.
As the seasons
groom them well
every leaf has
a story to tell.
Life transcending
becoming dreams
breath of autumn
scenic scenes.
Yet the moments
might be found
seasons awaiting
sight and sound.
See the beauty
that times bestow
maybe as flowers
or winter snow.
For the colors
will come to be
breath of autumn
a sight to see.

Colors Come Alive

Minds create moments
time creates paths
minutes become hours
slow and then fast.
Life begins a journey
a colorful style
as some as a memory
and some as a smile.
The colors come alive
as a pathway to see
some as a doorway
and a seasonal key.
Look for the moments
and find certain views
maybe that of browns
or maybe chartreuse.
Minutes pass quickly
and soon fade away
leaving only memoirs
of then another day.
So look and record it
each moment you see
as a photo or video
of your life’s history.
For as colors arrange
they display the best
a time so sublime
for our eyes to digest.
It’s God given scenery
of the passing of times
created as artwork
and romantic rhymes.
It’s just like a fairy tale
as colors come true
some with just little
of a contrast of blue.
They display blessings
a moment’s surprise
with magical scenery
as colors come alive.

Views of Time

The trails of life
that come and go
might just be
a winter snow.
Maybe a change
in the atmosphere
views of life
not seen too clear.
We may recognize
a sudden scene
maybe an echo
a rushing stream.
Views are found
with seconds eyes
scenes we see
in the blue skies.
You may mistaken
a snowy hill
as that of misery
life to fulfill.
Look to the sky
and all around
see all the beauty
a sight or sound.
A change of views
within your sight
can then enhance
each day and night.
For as we also
change our mind
changes are made
in views of time.

ZEN

Time becomes stirring
troubles become sight
evening becomes echoes
on into the night.
Life is disheartening
as time takes its place
when then and again
shows a saddened face.
Zen’s found in choices
as a peaceful thought
enlightened of a view
of what can’t be bought.
Seeming as a dream
an intuitive insight
The Zen becomes a way
to find better light.
Scented of heartbeats
tinted of a tone
sought after lifestyles
we may of never known.
A prayer can be helpful
to show where to begin
as you seek peaceful
in a moment of Zen.

Deep Within Space

Our minds at times
might become seen
as a space voyage
with stars agleam .
Lost in a whirlwind
time is a glance
that may show ones
of a different dance.
Looking down upon us
as time marches on
seeing all the things
so many do wrong.
They might be friends,
but standing away
watching and waiting
for the perfect day.
Deep within space
with a clearer view
of our sky above
that we see as blue.
We’ve sent greetings
out there so deep
and they may wonder
the truth do we keep.
Watching for decades
they may come to see
a much closer view
of you and of me.
They may be waiting
for us to recognize
what that we’re losing
right before our eyes.
Just waiting each day
for us to find love
as Heaven awaiting
from Lord God above.
I’m sure they’ve seen
what we each embrace
as they look onwards
deep within space.

Potted Plants

Life and times
needs love to grow
for we’re as plants
that times bestow.
A potted plant
needing some care
as a living life
blooms with prayer.
We need watering
with truth and love
as plants need rain
from clouds above.
We’ll become empty
if not cared for
as a potted plant
will leave a scar.
We need to love
each and everyone
as a potted plant
needing the sun.
Love from our Lord
in Heaven’s expanse
we need His love
as potted plants.

Summer’s Styles

A view from sea
with calm of waves
summer’s styles
enhances the days.
A pier becomes
an evening’s sight
as summer brings
a time’s delight.
Time becomes as
scenes of blue
found as magic
waves thereunto.
The calm within
the seas of life
becomes a summer
less of strife.
Waves so silently
crashing ashore
seeking a lifestyle
of times before.
Displaying scenes
as drops of gold
a summery feel
that ones foretold.
A ocean of dreams
with shallow waves
near the shore
on summer days,
Time’s a creator
of scenic smiles
found as echoes of
summer’s styles.

Field of Hay

Looking outwards
looking in
we might not see
how things begin.
Life as a blessing
a blade of grass
forming a moment
a shadow’s cast.
A field of hay
a timeless scene
might seem as
the smallest thing.
Yet for a moment
look beyond
and see that grass
to just be gone.
For it’s a lifetime
food to feed
for you and I
our daily need.
Think of the cattle
and others too
that need the hay
in life so true.
A field of hay
does many things
giving ones jobs
a lifetime brings.
There’s so much
from day to day
that’s done with
a field of hay.

Search The Clouds

Find a viewpoint
clouds of time
search within them
peace of mind.
Seek the raindrops
they might hold
search the clouds
that times unfold.
Find the blessings
color schemes
clouds above you
certain scenes.
Let God give you
a little prayer
clouds above you
none compare.
Living breathing
time moves on
as the clouds are
then and gone.
Search the clouds
to find a smile
fueled by passion
Heaven’s style.
Allow your mind
to drift away
within the clouds
of white or gray.
Let the sunlight
shine on through
bringing love
to shine on you.
So many blessings
come from rain
to form a heart
to ease the pain.
So the next time
you see shrouds
find the blessings
search the clouds.

Gifts of Christmas

So many things
that come and go
we might not see
as children grow.
Time moves on
leaving memories
found as echoes
of Christmas trees.
Life’s a doorway
swinging true
giving a moment
a single view.
I remember the
kids next door
that came to play
the times before.
I now look out
and give a smile
thankful for
that little while.
The season gives
a special glimpse
heartbeats beating
so immense.
Then the moments
time to time
live as gifts
within our mind.
Gifts of Christmas
can bestow
the love of God
as winter snow.

Haiku
for July 6,  2019

Judging to quickly
you might misconceive someone
and not know the truth.

Pages of today
may seem a bit torn at times,
but they still have thoughts.

Jumbled emotions
can create an argument
over tiny things.

Looking passed a cloud
you might see the horizon
or maybe more clouds.

Breathing in a breath
you may find yourself winded,
for it was passed gas.

Searching illusions
time might uncover the truth
within illusions.

Facts over fiction
leaves many people fighting
over silly things.

Challenging others
without fully knowing them
could end with much pain.

Within forever
there is a place remembered
living in our soul.

Living on the edge
can be very exciting
and also deadly.

Limits on ourselves
are often put on ourselves
by our view of life.

The leaves of autumn
become artist of nature
creating colors.

Changing your viewpoint
can often make things better
or make them much worse.

A flower garden
will only blossom beauty
if it is cared for.

The truth is the truth
no matter how you view it,
so why do ones lie?

When painting pictures
you might fall short of colors
and need to make do.

Arguments of life
are often found in egos
wanting to be right.

Naming a planet
does not make it good or bad
the same as people.

Belief of a ghost
does not make it to be real,
but it can exist.

Trials of a lifetime
creates structure within us
to use as a tool.

Too many judges
without a bit of knowledge
can harm good people.

Looking to the stars
you might see a few twinkling
as eyes looking back.
