One Day

Hello my friends

I looks like winter is getting nearer with
each passing day.  It’s been in the 60’s
for the passed week or so and it shows
on my weather program that the next 10
days will be in the 60’s,  during the day
of course LOL.  The nights have been in
the 40’s,  but it shows Monday night or
early Tuesday morning with a low of 39.
So,  yes summer has bid us farewell and
has fallen asleep until it awakens once
again next year around June as it comes
waltzing in right behind spring that will
also be showing itself around the end
of April or middle of May.  Wintertime
up here is the longest season.  It pays no
attention to the freaking calendars LOL.
We often have snow for 5 to 6 months\
out of the year.  Last year it began in
October and didn’t end until April of
this year.  I wouldn’t be surprised this
year if we didn’t start seeing that white
stuff this month LOL.  Anyways,  next
topic.  Judy and I went and got us some
ice cream at the Houlton Farms Dairy
Thursday.  They’ll be closing it up for
winter around the 22nd of this month.
They usually open up around April or
May depending whether or not there is
still snow on the ground.  They have
the best ice cream and tons of choices.
We might make it back for another
helping of ice cream,  but most years
we only go maximum of 2 or 3 times.
Just like the Governor’s restaurant 🙂
We normally only go for birthdays and
anniversaries.  We go only on special
occasions.  Right now at 6 PM it’s 59
degrees.  Soon we’ll have to be bringing
in all of our plants and put them in the
spare room in front of the window so
they can get some sunshine.  It might
only be morning sunshine,  but it’s
better than no sunshine.  Anyways,  if
we left them outside they would surely
freeze and die.  Hopefully we can keep
our tomato plant alive that is doing so
well.  There are a couple of tomatoes
on it that are just about ripe.  One of
them has already begun turning red 🙂
So,  what else is going on around this
place?  Well,  we bought us a carpet
cleaner vac the other day and we are
going to use it maybe tomorrow or
for sure one day this week.  With 2
dogs you need one LOL.  Oh yea,
I just found out a few moments ago
that today (Sunday) is Grandparents
Day,  so I wished my beloved RIP
Grandmother and Pawpaw a happy
 Grandparents Day on Facebook 🙂
They were the greatest.  I enjoyed all
of the time that I was able to spend
with them.  Pawpaw and I used to go
fishing almost every evening during
the summers and would fish the night
away and come home and clean the
fish as grandmother would come out
and get the cleaned ones and take
them to prepare for cooking or to
package them up for freezing until
we needed more fish.  Those were the
good times along with working in the
garden with them as we planted and
harvested the crops.  I had some bad
times in my youth,  but I feel blessed
to of been able to spend time with
my grandparents that lived just across
the road from us.  Thank You God
for always being there for me even if
I wasn’t aware that You were there.
Thank You for my many blessings
in life and all of the blessings that
we are still receiving.  AMEN.  Now
I believe it is time for me to begin
my little quest back through all that
I’ve written here to see if I can find
a good word or phrase that I can use
for the title for today’s brand new
poem.   So it’s away I go to that lil
place of my recollection that I always
like to call RECOLLECT VILLE.
Hmm it looks as though I may have
found a decent title and it looks like
I haven’t used it as is.  I have used
the words in other poem titles but
not just the 2 words so.  Here goes…

One Day

Now is a time
that came to pass
leaving but only
a shadow’s cast.
Time is counted
daily in tune
night to morning
then afternoon.
One day surely
time will expose
the highs of life
along with the lows.
Yet as a memoir
you might perceive
one day a week
as webs to weave.
Just like a spider
along with a web
one day comes
to move ahead.
Leaving the past
as a memory
scented of life
and a timeless sea.
Maybe in the midst
you might portray
memories of then
you found one day.

There ya go.  I hope you liked the poem
and maybe even my rambling hehehe 🙂
Yes I know I tend to drift from 1 thing
to another,  but that’s how my old mind
works LOL.  No matter,  it entertained
ya didn’t it 🙂  I have a prayer reequest
from a friend of mine in Texas.  Sara W
is asking for prayers for her mom and
dad.  They are not doing well.  Please
also put Sara in your prayers too.  She
needs them too.  So,  that about winds
it up.  Now I reckon I need to tell you
what I tell you every week and that is,
I wrote some more poems and haiku.
Yep,  10 poems,  but no Christmas
poems this week.  Maybe next week.
I also wrote 22 more haiku for all the
haiku lovers out there.  I hope you
can find 1 or 2 of either or both that
you like.  Now to begin searching for
that hardly elusive off switch that has
never learned the art of staying still,
but not before I wish you a blessings
filled week.  Remember,  Jesus loves
you and we do too.  Now where can
that ornery off switch be trying to
hide LOL?  Hmm,  I see my mouse
to my other computer moving and it
should not be moving 🙂  Sheesh,  you
could at least find a place to hide that
is not so easy to move stuff couldn’t
ya LOL.  Try staying still for once 🙂
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky

Time’s Persistence

Searching for chapters
within books of time
you might discover
a familiar design.
Maybe as a cloud
that forms overhead
that looks like life
or death instead.
Moments continue on
as time turns pages
drifting and shifting
 clouds of the ages.
Minutes quickly turn
leaving reflections
of time’s persistence
and daily directions.
The shifting of sands
in life’s hourglass
can show some snow
in seconds that pass.
Becoming a doorway
to a brand new view
giving ones choices
things which to do.
Without looking back
time can become
as a new day dawned
of a seasonal sun.
Clouds of perspective
can create consistence
found in the waves of
time’s persistence.

Moments Desires

Discerned as wantings
portrayed as need
desires of a moment
can plant a false seed.
Seeming as the clouds
that create designs
moments will gather
to exist in our minds.
Joined by creations
within our dreams
moments will become
as free flowing streams.
Pouring as a journey
in pools of desire
time creates lakes
of a moment’s entire.
Allow for your dreams
to blossom a rose,
but don’t let desires
make lies to impose.
Look on beyond then
and find you some rest
desired upon a pillow
so heavenly blessed.
Seek for the peace
of an angel’s wings
and sound of the songs
a heartbeat sings.
Find out who you are
as the truth aspires
and don’t get lost
in moments desires.

The Pink of Life

Amazement of time
as colors survive
might then display
what’s oh so alive.
It might be a color
that many don’t use
as the pink of life
a choice to choose.
The colors become
as a seasonal gaze
maybe well scented
in springtime ways.
It might be summer
or beginning of fall
as the pink of life
then stands so tall.
Look for the scenes
that times transcend
displaying blessings
beginning to end.
Heavenly moments
begin with a breath
continuing onwards
even after death.
For as the journey
might show a view
the scenes move on
to a life brand new.
The planting of seed
or a soul’s own path
is the pink of life
of Heavens contrast.

Minds of Gravel

Looking at life
as a bitter toil
can create minds
of infertile soil.
Not seeing signs
of lessons learned
minds of gravel
are not discerned.
Use the tools
within your past
and grow stronger
as lessons last.
Locate the gravel
and use it well
as a time to find
a better detail.
Minds of gravel
can become wise
if they discern
the truth and lies.
So many weeds
find the ways
to exist in minds
of gravel days.
Find the truth
and let it travel
becoming learned
in minds of gravel.

Living Picture

Forest of thoughts
live with a view
found as a moment
a time come true.
Pictures we’ve taken
may one day thrive
living as memories
that are still so alive.
Living within us
scenes from the past
our life is a journey
in photographs.
As a living picture
of a time you recall
maybe of summer
or maybe of fall.
Winter may await us
but not be seen
as pictures awaken
as an ongoing dream.
Often our slumbers
are held within time
as a living picture
thrives in our mind.
Look deep within
and search your soul
for living pictures
of a seasonal goal.
For as the pathways
might seem to collide
a true living picture
can live deep inside.
Becoming a place
remembered so well
as a living picture
or clang of a bell.
So look closely at
times that may be
a true living picture
of your history.

Just a Bridge

Times are crossed
paths are laid
lifestyles found
a different grade.
We are glimmers
sights to see
as just a bridge
to you and me.
Many differences
might be seen
just a bridge
to another dream.
We may not see
the same of day
different strides
a different way.
Times might flow
into our view
like a river
winding through.
Yet with help
from God above
just a bridge
can create love.
Helping to cross
the great divide
allowing truth
to live inside.
Finding passion
along the ridge
love can form on
just a bridge.

Clouds So Thick

Mind numbing scenes
that come at a glance
might be perception
of a moment’s romance.
Clouds of a journey
combined in a sight
can become doorways
to a bright shining light.
Glimmers of each view
enhanced by a dream
can live on within us
as windy days sing.
A song of emotions
with flavors of a rhyme
that taste of sweet honey
as they live in the mind.
Scenes as many angels
that flutter all around
creating clouds of life
as both sight and sound.
Look within the clouds
that surround you and I
and find you the portions
where your mind can fly.
Seeming as a rainbow
your life might display
even within the clouds
of a rainy type day.
These are the moments
that time may depict
discerned as emotions
in clouds so thick.

Crops of Harvest

Planting a story
in a time or place
can become empty
if time can’t taste.
Planting a lie
in a seasons frame
can become poison
that many attain.
Crops of harvest
must be of truth
and not of a lie
that’s without ruth.
Seek for the seeds
of a bountiful style
crops of harvest
times to compile.
Water them daily
and see them grow
becoming as many
ones wish to know.
Don’t let a lie to
live within you,
for it will only
tear you into.
Plant crops wisely
in places you go
especially in you
to help you to grow.
Let God help you
to become better
crops of harvest
of every weather.

Eve of Imagination

As the sun’s setting
with clouds in the sky
time is a window
with life passing by.
Leaving a threshold
of slumber to begin
an eve of imagination
that times transcend.
Just like a doorway
with a reflecting pond
glimmering brightly
as minutes tick on.
An eve of imagination
is created by the mind
as a burning ember
within time to time.
It may seem as magic
flailing in the breeze
while it is recorded
in wondrous degrees.
Limitless perceptions
of a momentous view
brings alive heartbeats
within me and you.
Things we imagine
as we stop and stare
while looking closely
become a breath of air.
For as the sun dims
and darkness is the sky
an eve of imagination
can then begin to fly.

Night’s Hazy Moon

Heaven above us
shows as a shine
as night becomes
as a starry design.
Night’s hazy moon
displays so dim
the sight of the sky
as a watery film.
Time comes alive
in the sights we see
night’s hazy moon
above you and me.
It creates dreams
that can become
a harp in the sky
that angels strum.
Heavenly sights
of God given skies
answers to prayers
for us to apprize.
Night’s hazy moon
enlightens scenes
as clouds drift by
creating streams.
Blessings of life
found up above
night’s hazy moon
so filled with love.
It can be a song
of a midnight loon
sung in the sight of
night’s hazy moon.

With life comes new life
after passing from this one
leaving memories.

Shadows of ourselves
are found in people we know
and ones we don’t know.

The life of a rose
is more than just a flower,
it is that of thorns.

Looking in the past
you might see many mistakes
and many lessons.

Looking to the sky
you might see the bright sunlight
if it is daytime.

Forgetting ones names
is not the worst you can do,
for we do forget.

A field of clover
can replicate happiness
if you allow it.

Pages of a book
can hold many thoughts to see,
but we must read them.

When playing the fool
you might end up the loser
if others believed.

In shallow waters
there might be a few deep holes
that you cannot see.

Painting with your words
needs grammar to be correct
or ones may not see.

Challenges of life
can be  the smallest of things
that become larger.

Perfection destroys
if you do not allow life
and all its mistakes.

When humming a song
the words are no use to you
if they mean nothing.

Counting all the stars
can bring many a headache
into your choices.

Patience is virtue
if you are waiting on God,
but not sitting still.

When guarding your heart
you could prevent any good
from coming to live.

The lines on a road
that separate the pathways
prevent ones collide.

Changing directions
will not correct what that’s done,
but it might help you.

Treading on thin ice
might only lead to trouble,
so watch where you walk.

Blossoms of flowers
can create a wondrous view
or spawn a grave site.

Today will begin
and then become as our past,
so make it your best.
