Reading Back

Hello my friends

It’s been a slow week these passed
few days.  Yep,  I was slowed down
a bit due to falling on the driveway.
I think when I fell that I twisted my
body and pulled some muscles as I
have done in the past.  Anyways, it
seems to be better now.  My body
is old and doesn’t handle falls like
it did when I was younger hehehe.
What happened is that we have a
rock and gravel driveway and it’s
got a few holes in it,  a few I did
not see while there was snow on it
and I stepped in one and it caused
me to lose my balance and hurtle
to the ground.  Getting back up
was the trick LOL,  but I managed
to get up and walk back home with
our mail.  LOL Benny and Rocky
watched and waited with their lil
concerned looks on their faces 🙂
Anyways,  I wrote one poem that
day,  but it hurt too much to design
pictures,  so that was all I did until
the pain subsided and I could do
it without being in pain.  So,  I’m
short a few poems this week LOL.
Oh well,  life goes on.  Yep,  very
exciting huh LOL!  So,  what else
has gone on around here?  Well,
Judy and I filled our tummies to
the max on Thanksgiving Day and
thereafter until we finished off all
of the leftovers hehehe.  We had
bought a ham and I cut it in half
so that we could eat half of it for
Thanksgiving and the other half
for Christmas.  I mean,  it is just
Judy and I ya know hehehe.  Judy
made a Jell-O cake and we bought
3 pumpkin pies and we still have
1 pumpkin pie left,  but we ate all
of the cake.  Yep,  we put on the
pounds hehehe.  We had candied
yams also and Judy made some
corn casserole.  We watched a lot
of Christmas movies and early on
Thanksgiving Day we watched the
Thanksgiving Day parade :).  We
always love to watch the parade 🙂
There’s not much else going on
that I can think of at the moment.
God is still watching over us as He
has always as well as many angels
that are with us daily guiding us
and looking after us.  We are oh
so very thankful for the blessings
that we receive each day that we
are here.  Thank You God for all
that You do and all that You will
do.  We are grateful for Your love.
Now,  I believe it’s time for me to
be reading back over all that I’ve
written here to see if I can find a
good word or phrase that I can use
for the title for today’s brand new
poem.  So,  it’s away I go,  to that
place of my recollection that I like
it looks as though I may of found
a fairly decent title just a few lines
back that I can use and now after
checking,  I see that it has not been
used yet,  so used it shall be today.
Here goes…

Reading Back

Scenes we find
that come and go
become stories
within their flow.
For as we search
rhyme or reason
we find blessings
in every season.
For as the words
of time are seen
they become a
season’s dream.
Reading back
we may discover
the time to time
words uncover.
Finding blessings
within each view
as you remember
what that’s true.
Life can become
words on track
so many lessons
when reading back.

There ya go.  I hope you liked the
poem and maybe even some of my
rambling hehehe.  Well,  as I said
before,  not much has gone on here
at the Pearce’s Place other than the
stuff I’ve already told ya,  such as
me being a klutz hehehe and surely
of course our Thanksgiving Day.
So,  it seems that all I have left to
tell ya is what I tell ya every week
and that is :),  I wrote some more
poems and haiku.  Yep,  but due to
extenuating circumstances such as
me being a klutz,  I only wrote 7
poems with 3 Christmas poems in
the mix.  I also managed to write
22 haiku for all of the haiku lovers
out there.   I hope you can find 1
or 2 of either or both that you like.
Now I do believe it’s time for me
to begin my search for that hardly
elusive off switch,  but not before
I wish you a most wonderful and
blessed week.  Remember,  Jesus
loves you and we do too.  So OK,
I think it’s time for me to start my
search for that silly off switch that
is not that great at hiding hehehe.
Where oh where can that ornery
thing be LOL????  Hmmmmmm,
some movement caught my eye to
the right of me.   You wouldn’t be
trying to hide behind the fan again
would you.  Yes,  I know it’s not
on this time,  but you don’t seem
to grasp the concept of be still do
ya?  I could see the fan moving 🙂
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Benny,  Rocky
and the spirit of Milo Pearce

Wintertime Ways

Children playing
under a clouded sun
create the windows
of a moment begun.
A season of blissful
as snowflakes fall,
children find ways to
find pleasure in all.
Kids find the joy
of a day in the snow
making snow angels
and a little to throw.
We may forget the
days of our past
the wintertime ways
that went too fast.
Find a reflection
of a time within you
that still has breath
of a wonderful view.
A time so magical
still with a smile,
the wintertime ways
of childhood style.
Let yourself live
while you remember
the Christmastimes
amidst December.
Times we remember
of wonderful days
Christmas can thrive
in wintertime ways.

Life’s Memories

The seasons change
leaving times details
so many memories
that our life exhales.
Breathing in essence
of a season’s array
life becomes echoed
in a magical way.
Seeming as a dream
of a wondrous design
with life’s memories
of a so distant time.
Strolling in the snow
of a winter’s cuisine
a time might portray
a Christmas scene.
Formed as a breath
we breathed long ago
as an echo of time
in Christmas snow.
Seeming as illusions
we may look twice
to see if the moment
is heavens device.
 It might be a place
that still lives inside
as echoes of time
that scenes applied.
Focus on good times
and then believe
while looking back
on life’s memories.

Turkey Day

Thanksgiving blessings
are often misunderstood
when some only think of
the food that is good.
Turkey day’s arrangement
has taken place of love
and not being thankful
for the gifts from above.
Search for the blessings
beyond what you eat
and find on the turkey day
much better to accrete.
Seek to find some others
that are surely in need
of love and understanding
or food which to feed.
Find a new perspective
on the day of giving
thankful for the gifts
that God gives for living.
Open up your heart
and your mind to life
this Thanksgiving day
and lessen your strife
Be thankful for the food
as you stop to pray
and give of all you can
upon this turkey day.

Sun of Summer

Oceans display
times to view
gentle ripples
in a sea of blue.
Sun of summer
creates shine
that of echoes
of time to time.
Scenic windows
open up wide
to let sunshine
come inside.
Allowing sights
an ocean’s view
to make sounds
to live with you.
Sun of summer
shines with glee
warm to feel
and sight to see.
It brings alive
times of wonder
scenic sights
sun of summer.

Within Our Mind

The memories
of way back when
become a glance
as scenic wind.
Time becomes as
an open door
within our mind
a timeless shore.
You might see
a boat’s detail
sitting waiting
for time to sail.
It might be only
a dream’s arrays
within our mind
a time to gaze.
Yet for a moment
time stood still
displaying life
as a windowsill.
It might be only
a dream’s design
that’s created
within our mind.

Winter Wonderful

Roads we travel
to near and afar
might have a view
of a wintery star.
They may expose
a time so sweet
as a wonderland
on a snowy street.
You might even
see a time’s scene
of a wonderland
a magical dream.
Wonderful sights
become as gold
as they display a
moment so cold.
Yet, deep within
is a magical place
winter wonderful
a snowy embrace.
A God given time
as a heavenly jewel
found within view
winter wonderful.

Christmas Scenes

There may be snow
with a magical sight
as Christmas scenes
so wonderful white.
Time is a painting
that God displays
some as wonderful
Christmastime days.
Formed from pages
of timeless views
as Christmas scenes
the moments infuse.
Find the heartbeats
that seasons become
scenes within scenes
of a wintertime sun.
Christmas essence
as stage of desire
formed in moments
from God’s own fire.
Heavenly blessings
formed as dreams
creating the essence
of Christmas scenes.

Lost in a snowstorm
you might discover your fear
of being frozen.

Life of memories
is that of what’s remembered
and their perspective.

Many a flower
blooms only when they’re watered,
but some are like weeds.

Passionate people
open doors for the needy
and give of themselves.

Living in a storm
guaranties there will be lightning
creating thunder.

Tomorrows choices
might be today’s creations
that we decided.

can create future problems
that you can’t handle.

Limited journeys
also limits the lessons,
so get out and learn.

Beginnings begun
can often become the end
if they are not right.

When viewing winter
many only see the snow
and not the beauty.

Counting your blessings
you might discover moments
that had slipped your mind.

Summertime fancy
might be only a made up world
that you remember.

Within an ocean
holds many stories to tell
that might be made up.

Shadows of others
might be found within our own
as we learn from them.

When turning around
you might discover yourself
still walking the same.

Sought after moments
that we really do not need
can become problems.

Remembering things
in different lights of day
can become regret.

Looking back on time
what we did so long ago
might show the lessons.

Challenges in life
create the tools that we need
to help us to grow.

Toolless gardening
can hinder daily progress
and slow the planting.

Photographs of life
can become echoes of time
helping memories.

Today’s tomorrow
might look like our yesterdays
that we let slip past.
