ANIMAL’S GREETINGS
Hello my friends
Well you might of noticed that I did not
do a journal last week which was due to
it being Father’s Day. I figured that I’d
give writing a break for that day. So, I’m
back this week to try and fill you in on all
that has gone on around here since then.
Our landline telephone has been down and
out since a few days before Father’s Day
and my daughter was unable to call me to
wish my happy Father’s Day. That sort of
depressed me, but Judy made us breakfast
and a very nice dinner and that was great.
We had a nice day together watching TV 🙂
I had Judy call our phone and internet up
so that I could tell them of our problems
with our landline and a guy came out to
look at it Friday and after a few hours he
finally did what I kept telling him to do
which was to look at the phone line beside
the house that they did not cover. I said
our landlord may have nicked it with the
lawnmower. Yep, so they are scheduled
to come out tomorrow/Monday and put
in a new line and hopefully they’ll bury
it this time LOL. It’s been hot and humid
today due to all of the rain, but at least
the temperature is going to be a little bit
cooler for the next few days. It got up to
around 83 F today and right now it’s 76.
Tomorrow’s high is supposed to be 65 F
which is rather nice. I know for many of
you 83 is not too bad, but I can’t handle
anything near or above 80’s for long being
I am very hot natured. Anyways, I’ve told
you all about that before LOL. So, I have
mowed the front yard again actually a few
times, being the grass seems to have gone
on steroids hehehe. I can’t keep up with it
and with it raining so often it makes it hard
for me to be able to mow. So when it quits
for a brief and is able to dry for a day, I
try to take our little push lawnmower out
and attack it LOL with its 15 inch span of
existence hehehe. Yes it does take me a
while to get any mowing done. I have to
stop and take a breath and drink of water
or what ever I have very often, but I get
the majority of our front lawn mowed 🙂
I don’t concern myself with the field out
in the distance. I have though mowed us
a little trail that we can walk to take our
dog Rocky for a little field trip though 🙂
and if it ever ceases raining long enough
for the grass to dry up and we’re not with
any major things to do and we’re not too
tired, we’ll take him out. I’m wanting to
put up the trail camera that Judy got me
for Christmas as well as us see if we are
able to fly the drone that she got me the
year before. Neither of us has ever flown
any type of RC plane or helicopter, so
it should be interesting. The only thing
I have ever flown was a paper airplane or
toy glider LOL. Yep, so I am guessing we
will be crashing the drone a few times and
if it survives we might learn how to fly it?
Judy’s running through a lot of test to see
if she has cancer and I am praying the test
show that she does not. Please keep her
in your prayers. It’s stressful not knowing.
Though we do know that God is in control.
We have many things that we’re wanting
to do this year, such as mini golfing and
enjoying our time together. LOL I’m
not gonna name off all of the things we
are wanting to do this summer, being that
would be a long list. I love that gal and
I’m sure that she knows it. Rocky is still
as ornery as ever. Right now he’s behind
me aggravating Judy for a treat hehehe.
God is always watching over us with His
many angels and kindly spirits that He’s
sent to protect us and guide us. We are
so very grateful for all that You do for us
God and we know that You will always
continue to be here for us as we know
that You are watching over us all. We
thank You and praise Your name. Please
keep Your mighty hands over our family
and friends as well as the many that we
know not of. Amen and Amen. Now,
I guess it’s time for me to begin my path
back through all that I’ve written here to
see if I can find me a good word or phrase
that I can use for the title for today’s new
poem. So it’s away I go to that lil place
of my recollection that I always like to
call RECOLLECT VILLE. I think I may
have stumbled upon a fairly decent title
near the halfway mark of my rambling
and now after checking, I see that it has
not been used yet. So used it shall be 🙂
Here goes…
Major Things
Times and places
things in our life
may seem as more
but be only strife.
Illusions grandeur
might fade away
leaving shadows
of a wanted array.
The major things
we thought as need
might of been only
a poisonous seed.
Look now clearly
at what’s ahead
and give your best
in done and said.
Don’t let wants
to create scenes,
but focus on life
and major things.

I hope you liked the poem and maybe even
a little bit of my rambling. I’m never quite
sure what I am going to write. I just start
putting words down and it somehow comes
together. Well I think I have told you near
all that I can think of that has gone on that
is worth telling LOL. So I reckon it’s time
to tell you what I tell you nearly every week
and that is, I wrote some more poems and
haiku. Yep, 10 more poems and 22 more
haiku for all the haiku lovers out there 🙂
So now I believe it’s time for me to begin
my search for that hardly elusive off switch,
but not before I wish you a truly blessings
filled week. Remember, Jesus loves you
and we do too. OK now, where can that
silly off switch be trying to hide this week?
It’s had an extra week to be looking for a
decent hiding spot hehehe. Although it’s
looking like you wasted your time just
lying around. Did you even try to hide?
I see you as plain as day right behind my
salt shaker that I keep in here for when
we eat dinner LOL. I thought you would
at least pick a place to hide that was not
so obvious hehehe. You are a silly thing.

Seeking Shadows
So many viewpoints
in life’s memories
create the illusions
of timeless seas.
A springtime array
with shadowy styles
becomes the stories
of moments smiles.
Scented of emotions
sought after ways
created as shadows
of life’s distant days.
A pet can transform
a heartbeat of time
into that of love
that’s heaven divine.
The love will bloom
as time marches on
showing shadows
as unending song.
Sung as a turnstile
that time bestows
visualizing seasons
seeking shadows.

Stormy Minds
Thoughts of moments
can create storms
and become clouds
that times transform.
Our minds might see
a much different view
than the others see
and think they’re true.
We might see rain,
but all they can see
is a start of a rainbow
that’s so heavenly.
Look beyond clouds
find breath of life
as storms might wash
away all the strife.
Allow your eyesight
to see through skies
the blessings of God
in an awesome size.
Find the true joy
within life’s designs
and let it to blossom
within stormy minds.

Light From Within
Darkness might find
a moment’s place
and create a vision
of a frowning face.
There may even be
a scene that weaves
sadness within life
that time perceives.
Yet there is passage
to a blissful design
that may be hidden
in a point in time.
It might be a scene
that time put away
and hid in shadows
the awesome array.
It might even shine
of a glistening scene
as mere memories
flow like a stream.
Locate that place
to begin yet again
with God’s blessings
light from within.

Linings of Views
Prominent moments
that times enter in
might become scenes
of memories friend.
Maybe as pictures of
a honeysuckle sight
found in the linings
of a bush in daylight.
The seams may sew
the colors of time
found in the seasons
of moments sublime.
Seeming a reflection
of a timeless place
that’s so faraway
on a youthful face.
Honeysuckle bushes
of life’s memories
thriving as heartbeats
that a dreamer sees.
Remember the times
that did so infuse
and then be thankful
for linings of views.

With just a breath
the times may show

Life pasted together
like a scenic sight

in a wintery white.
It may seem unreal
this timeless stage
that formed a smile
as a turn of a page.
It can display peace
as time’s massage
found so heavenly

Times within mind
of a distant array
that’s now a dream

Walking on a beach
taking photographs
time begins moving
oh so often very fast.
Becoming shadows

to times conclusions.
We might remember
a scene as a breath
filled with moments
time’s put to death.

as wondrous designs.
Found in memories
the times are as wind
creating the magic

Momentary times

God gives us time

Seeking a heartbeat
in the midst of a jungle
you might find a lie.
Themes of emotion
are often painted within
as hidden feelings.
The leaves of autumn
become different stages
as paintings of life.
Letting go of things
can seem too impossible
when you’re addicted.
Looking back on life
you might find many moments
that you’d like to change.
Today meets journeys
that yesterday might have missed
due to laziness.
Becoming greater
might diminish your standards
and cause you to fall.
Moving too quickly
you might end up with regret
for not giving chance.
Throughout our lifetime
many changes will occur
that can help us grow.
Shadows of ourselves
are often found in others
that see us each day.
Yesterday’s friendships
can become moments in time
that faded away.
Reading between lines
you might miss the full story
and not understand.
In search of the truth
you might discover some lies
that you thought were true.
The ages of time
create many perspectives
that change day to day.
A field full of grass
can harbor many a weed
that seems a flower.
Driving down a road
you might hit a lot of bumps
that jar your thinking.
Threading a needle
that life has put in your path
you might miss the hole.
Today is a breath
that is there for you to breathe,
so find life within.
Beyond all that’s seen
there might be many secrets
hidden in shadows.
Glimmers of dewdrops
on a summertimes morning
can give you a smile.
Yarns of a lifetime
might be only fictional
like a fish story.
Following someone
you might learn all about them
or they might deceive.
