ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

I hope you are doing well. I’m enjoying
a break from the mowing 🙂 Yep, with
the lower temps the grass doesn’t do a
lot of growing. I will soon be doing a bit
of rearranging on the porch moving the
lawnmower to where the snow blowers
are and moving snow blowers to where
the lawn mower is, being snow is soon to
be making its presence known Mwhaha.
Yep and I actually am excited to see the
first snow to fall. It’s like an early gift
of Christmas to me. Of course that gift
soon gets old after 3-5 months of it LOL.
My old body is wearing out and I can’t
clear the snow like I used to, but I do
the best that I can. It has already gotten
a lot cooler than the passed weeks. It’s
48 F degrees right now at 8 PM. This
week is looking to be another slow one.
We did though go on an autumn drive
last Tuesday and I took quite a lot of
pictures, but we didn’t see many fall
colors being that a storm had come
thru a couple of days before and blew
many of the leaves off of the trees. We
did manage to find a few places that
still had leaves on the trees though 🙂
In any sense, it was a good drive and
we enjoyed it. We drove way up north
of us. It was a beautiful day. LOL our
next door neighbor has been busy as
he put the underpinning back on their
house that had blown away in one of
our storms :). Ours has held fast since
I put back what had blown away the
year before. We’re ready for winter.
We’ve got a full tank of heating oil.
People keep telling me that we might
have more snow than normal than we
have had passed winters, but they have
been saying that every year. We had
one of the worst years of snow when
we moved up Dec of 2007 which was
the winter of 2008 and we had one of
the longest and coldest winters in 2009.
If I’m not mistaken I believe we had
near 2 weeks of 50 below zero and it
made it hard to stay warm and keep
the pipes from freezing. Since then it
has not been near as bad. I think we
might have a decent winter, but only
God knows 🙂 We can feel His mighty
spirit watching over us as well as many
angels and kindly spirits. Our home
is most surely blessed even if we have
a few struggles now and again. We
know that we are looked after. I pray
that God watches over you as well.
May many spirits be with you always
protecting you from things that you
are unaware of. Thank You God
for never wavering. Amen and amen.
Now I do believe it’s time for me to
be reading back over all that I have
written here to see if I can find me a
good word or phrase that I can use
for the title for today’s brand new
poem. So it’s away I go to that lil
place of my recollections that I like
to call RECOLLECT VILLE. I think
I may have found me a fairly decent
title just a few lines down from the
beginning of my rambling and now
after checking I see that it has not
been used yet, so used it shall be 🙂
Here goes…

Presence Known

The actors we encounter
in our day to day lives
might be only a phase
God allows to arrive.
We may become guilty
of being of the same
as the actors in others
that times do attain.
Many live for twilight
and darkened paths
and seek for wantings
lying shadows they cast.
Yet within the light
God gives us a course
a doorway to Him
to put end to remorse.
It may seem a window
a pathway to peace
bringing about blessings
to help pain to cease.
Life is a roller coaster
going up and down
sometimes with a smile
and sometimes a frown.
Within some moments
we might see a dream
as time frames awaken
within a magical scene.
Then when God sees
that we feel all alone
He makes in a moment
His presence known.

Well there ya go. I hope you liked the
poem and maybe even a little bit of my
rambling. LOL Rocky is asleep in the
floor right behind me. I have to take
care to not roll over him with my chair.
So that seems to be all that I have that
is worthy of being shared other than
what I tell you nearly every week and
that is, I wrote some more poems and
haiku. Yeppers, 10 more poems and
22 more haiku for all the haiku lovers
out there. I hope you can find 1 or 2
of either or both that you like. Now,
with that said I reckon it’s time for me
to begin my search for that silly hardly
allusive off switch, but surely not before
I wish you a week full of blessings and
happiness. Remember, Jesus loves
you and we do too. Okie dokie, so
now where can that ornery off switch
be LOL not trying to hide when he
should be trying to hide LOL? Now,
that is a plumb stupid place to try to
hide being that tiny little flash drive
is barely an 8th on an inch wide. Did
you not even notice that you can be
seen being most of you is exposed 🙂

Magic of Autumn

Remembering moments
that came into view
can become a doorway
for you to walk thru.
The season gives colors
of a passionate scale
that seems as paintings
leaves soon set sail.
But yet before they fall
they display a sight
that seems as a dream
amidst the daylight.
Bright yellows and reds
as orange is mixed in
while so many leaves
blow away in the wind.
There may still be green
with a hint of brown
as the magic of autumn
whirls all around.
Creating life’s doorway
for time to walk thru
while welcoming winter
with a scenic view.
Forming God’s artwork
with a seasonal sun
found as the colorful
magic of autumn.

Living in a Dream

Seeming as illusions
our thoughts may drift
seeming to continue on
while they sort of shift.
Becoming as a moment
of time’s pond of water
created by our dreams
illusions as the potter.
Shaping together sights
upon a random stage
when living in a dream
within a passage of age.
Thriving as heartbeats
while times fade away
we might find echoes
of a distant time’s day.
It might be bestowing
a tunnel through time
seeming to be endless
inside of your mind.
There might be geese
or ducks in a stream
as you continue on
living in a dream.

Rails of Passage

Summertime stages
become that of fall
slowly but surely
as time gives a call.
Often as the tracks
of time are in view
the rails of dreams
say how do you do.
Speaking so clearly
the essence of path
seasons of scenery
of future and past.
Now brings a story
that becomes time
told in the future
for others to find.
Providing the life
that’s living flames
as rails of passage
that time attains.

Reflecting Upon

Flavors of colors
may hide in the past
leaving reflections
of timeless contrast.
Found as a present
from God up above
colors of autumn
are filled full of love.
They may be vague,
but still can be seen
as an ocean of color
found in a dream.
The colors creation
is a heavenly style
with painted leaves
as a Godly smile.
Passed days colors
might become alive
living as reflections
for memories eyes.
The sky may shine
of life’s cloudy days
above all the beauty
of timeless arrays.
So don’t let times
to be only a song,
let them sing loudly
reflecting upon.

A Taste of Time

A stream or pond
within our sight
just might display
what times ignite.
A simple aroma
or sound we hear
may grow greater
than yesteryear.
Treats of scenery
timeless cuisines
tasting of Heaven
becoming dreams.
Now is a moment
with hopeful life
as a taste of time
to end the strife.
Find life’s flavors
of loving arrays
and create a pond
of better days.
Open your eyes
and see the peace
as ripples of life
with God’s release.
Look on beyond
within your mind
and locate the best
a taste of time.

Aspiring Adventures

We might drive passed
a moment so brief
and not see the time
of the last fallen leaf.
Autumn brings colors
that will surly fall
connecting to winter
as it hears the call.
Aspiring adventures
to scenes that pass on
are often as journeys
as sounds of a song.
Words of a moment
are found with views
with scenic explosions
as God lights the fuse.
Life giving artwork
our eyes can explore
aspiring adventures
thru times open door.

So Far Away

When looking deep
into the ocean
you might see sights
of a scenic notion.
A ship might bestow
a timeless voyage
from so far away
you had to enlarge.
The waves may seem
as but only a sight
while a ship sails on
to the dark of night.
Its voyage might be
the beginning of day
seen upon a beach
from so far away.

March in Remembrance

White snow of winter
still paints and displays
the scenes within winter
upon cold March days.
The end’s in the making
as time continued on
March in remembrance
with spring soon to don.
Bringing us warm days
to melt all the snow
and create its artwork
to blossom and grow.
Wintertime’s shadows
will find their arrays
to come back and shine
giving artwork to gaze.
Then we’ll be awaiting
that Christmassy scene
March in remembrance
that so many dream.

Dream Come True

Silently memories
become as a phase
a dream come true
of so distant days.
Creating a portal
to time and place
a dream come true
that ones embrace.
An early morning
with snow to fall
a dream come true
that lands upon all.
The flakes acquire
a harmonious sight
a dream come true
within the night.
Then by morning
as the sun rises
a dream come true
displays surprises.
So many paintings
might be found
a dream come true
seen all around.
For as you slept
the snow did accrue
creating a vision
a dream come true.

Images Transform

Within yesterdays
time is a stage
still with pictures
of age unto age.
Life remembered
as distant dreams
scenic reflections
of so many things.
Transforming age
to a photograph
as images live on
in shadowy casts.
Within our heart
we might recall
a time and place
that stands so tall.
It might be scenes
that we embrace
puppy dog eyes
time can’t replace.
Yet a photograph
can give a view
that seems to live
as time so anew.
Remembering life
as a work of art
with the rhythm
of a beating heart.
For as we breathe
new life is born
within pictures
images transform.

Haiku
for Oct 14, 2023

Swarms of decisions
can so often confuse us
when choice is many.

Living in a lie
you might find you’re unhappy
because it’s not true.

Scenes in a picture
cannot look like the true view,
as pictures are small.

Through out our lifetime
we will encounter people
that are far from truth.

Logical moments
might seem illogical to you
when you are in doubt.

Trials we’ve undergone
can become tools in our life
if we don’t give up.

Yesterday’s knowledge
might be out of date today,
so keep with the times.

Highways to byways
become passageways of past
that may seem endless.

Yearning for the past
and not seeking the future
can leave you empty.

Years of decisions
create the you that you are,
so take care your path.

The thresholds we’ve crossed
can be either good or bad
with what that you learned

An electric fence
can be helpful or hurtful
as both will give pain.

Thinking of yourself
and not of others in stride
can lose many friends.

Linking to others
might create a some mistakes
as we may find flaws.

Holding too tightly
to material things in life
can leave you empty.

Crossing a footbridge
you might notice some water
flowing down below.

Changing your viewpoints
when you find out you were wrong
opens doors to truth.

Heading out to sea
you might find a lot of waves
pushing you to shore.

Limited choices
make us to choose emotions
over the journey.

The roads we travel
can often seem too bumpy,
but be the best route.

Thunderstorms of life
might have a lot of lightning
roaring of thunder.

Decide directions,
but look for the flaws within
if you chose wrongly.
