Been Down That Way

ANIMAL’S GREETINGS

Hello my friends

Well,  first of all,  I hope you all had a
Happy Easter.  We were both needing
to get a little rest.  It seems the weather
changes are affecting us as well as Judy
still feeling the after shocks of the last
of her chemo.  That should pass soon.
We’re doing well other wise.  We got
some more snow Friday,  but not too
much.  Just a couple of inches.  It will
soon melt away being the ground has
had some time to warm a bit on top of
the fact we’re having a lot of 40 degree
days.  Of course the nights are in the 20’s,
but that with the 40 degree days will still
not let the snow hang around long LOL.
Our driveway has turned into a messy
mud puddle.  I walked out to check the
mail Friday and almost drowned Hahaha.
I have a feeling that the bugs will be bad
this year due to a not so wintery winter
as we are used to.  I’m not sure if I will
send this journal out tonight or just wait
till tomorrow,  but I thought I would do
a little writing this evening anyways :).
I don’t think that many will be reading it
today Easter Sunday.  So I might finish
it tomorrow and post it :).  Judy made us
some ham and cheese sliders
for dinner.
I’m eating and writing :).  It’s 33 F degrees
right now at 10 PM.  That’s not too bad.
I guess I will finish this up tomorrow,  so
I will return
Monday and get r done LOL.
Well,  it’s 1:30 PM Monday now and back
to the rambling.  It’s 41 F degrees and a
bright and sunny day today.  Much of the
snow should melt away today and possibly
tomorrow,  but it seems that we have more
snow on the way beginning Wednesday eve
and on into Saturday.  Yet,  by the looks
of it,  we’ll not get much.  I do love snow,
but I do get tired of the melting turning
our driveway to mud which makes it hard
to walk to the mailbox to check the mail.
Springtime,  quit your lollygagging and
get r done LOL.  I know we will be having
heck with bugs this year due to us having
such a mild winter,  but there’s nothing I
can do about it other than keep plenty of
bug spray on hand hehehe.  Judy and I
are looking forward to doing a little drive
down south of us to Cutler Maine and
thereabouts this summer and take  some
more pictures.  We haven’t been down
that way for a few years.  We might even
take a few more drives to other spots that
we haven’t been to in quite a while,  but
it all depends on us feeling up to it  which
I hope that we are.  God has been good
to us.  We have survived yet another year
together.  Rocky is doing well,  but he is
showing signs of aging not so good.  He’s
not young by no means,  so it is expected.
No matter,  we love him just as we loved
and still love his brothers Benny and Milo
that have passed on and are now waiting
for us on Rainbow Bridge.  We are very
thankful for all that God has done for us.
He has sent many angels and kindly spirits
to watch over us as well,  so we know that
we’ll be OK.  I hope you have God in your
life and are sharing His love with others.
Thank You Father God,  for never giving
up on us.  Please watch over our family
and friends as well as the many that we’re
unaware of.  Amen and Amen.  Now I do
believe it’s time for me to be reading back
over all that I have written here to see if I
can find me a word or phrase that I can
use for the title for today’s new poem that
I have not already used on passed poems,
so it’s away I go to that little place of my
recollection of which I always like to call
RECOLLECT VILLE.  I think I might
have stumbled upon a fairly decent title
near the mid point of my rambling and
now that I have checked I see that I have
not used it yet,  so used it shall be.  I just
hope I can write something that makes
a little bit of sense LOL.  Here goes…

Been Down That Way

Doorways and pathways
that we journey thru
might have hidden things
which we might view.
Scenes such as torment
or wondrous arrays,
things we stumble upon
to give us a gaze.
We might even find life
we remember so well
it might of been Heaven
or might of been Hell.
Our own life’s reflections
might display a time
that we’ve been down
but only in mind.
There might be troubles
as a broken heart
seasons of moments
as some disfigured art.
So many doorways
and pathways of travel
often might lead to
 a journey of gravel
For within our lifetime
we might find a day
that lives as memories
been down that way.

Well I hope you didn’t mind waiting a day
to receive this LOL.  I also hope you liked
the poem and maybe even a little bit of my
rambling.  I know BORING hehehehehehe.
Well hopefully something I said put a smile
on your face or made you think.  I think I
have told you all there is to tell other than
of course what I tell you nearly every week
and that is,  I wrote some more poems and
haiku.  Yep,  10 more poems and 22 more
haiku for all of the haiku lovers out there.
So now I do believe it’s time for me to be
searching for that hardly elusive off switch,
but not before I wish you a truly blessings
filled week.  Remember,  Jesus loves you
and we do too.  Now,  where in tarnations
can that ornery off switch be trying to hide
this time????  Hmm and Hmm again LOL.
I don’t see it,  OH wait a minute, yes I do.
I see ya you little whippersnapper.  Hiding
behind my cupcake that I am postponing
eating was not so great of a hiding place.
I could hear the cellophane wrapper as you
leaned against it.  Next time don’t lean :).
Gotcha,  see ya CLICK zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

God bless from Bill,  Judy,  Rocky
and spirits of Benny and Milo Pearce.

Standing Seeking

Us with our visions
might only see time
as that of moments
that live in our mind.
Seasonal train tracks
we’ve walked upon
become as memories
we heard in a song.
Sung as teardrops
that life is displaying
found upon train tracks
gently swaying.
Searching crossroads
some are critiquing
while we may only be
standing seeking.

Lost in Life’s Ocean

Counting the minutes
that time’s gone away
can become thresholds
of a dreamer’s array.
Found upon moments
that you truly endear
a bright sunny day
with an ocean and pier.
Counting minutes
that the times drifted on
leaves us with dreams
of a seasonal dawn.
Filled with perspective
of a true love potion
I find that I’m often
lost in life’s ocean.

Facets of Design

Looking into scenery
we might see ourselves
staring at windows
on a nature of shelves.
Lined up as emotions
painted by God above
scented with a breath
of a season with love.
Facets within the ages
are textures of style
produced as emotions
of a heartbeat’s smile.
Created as blessings
corresponding with life
transforming moments
peaceful from strife.
Search thru the ages
and seek in your mind
the better of moments
God’s facets of design.

Just a Sight

Found upon a river
there may be a dream
flowing as heartbeats
in a magical scene.
Ice and snow of time
displays as memoirs
written within you
as sweet seasons stars.
Glittering as a stage
that’s lit up in white
it might be a dream
or maybe just a sight.

Bluebonnet Phase

Remembering moments
of our Texas arrays
enlightens heartbeats
for the so distant days.
Times come and gone
live now as our dreams
as bluebonnets growing
and enticing the scenes.
Those were the pages
of our moments begun
taking pictures of sights
under a Texas city sun.
Becoming the memories
of the greatest displays
that live as reflections
of a bluebonnet phase.

Threshold of Winter

Standing and admiring
the snow there upon
displays sweet moments
that’ll soon be gone.
Wintertime’s passages
soon start to close
to unleash the melting
with ways water flows..
Making way for spring
and then summertime
while many might not
even like that design.
There’s people and pets
that truly love the view
of wintertime’s essence
that the scenes accrue.
With snowflakes falling
found front and center
time displays patterns
a threshold of winter.

Passing of Life

Times that have passed
leave many reflections
so often as heartbeats
of families connections.
We might have regrets
that correspond in time
filtered from the past
to a gravesite’s design.
Life becomes shadows
of a time’s passageway
scented with memories
of a time another day.
The smell of a cologne
or perfume might live
in the breezes of ages
that spirits might give.
Rejuvenating the love
that cuts like a knife
and enters your heart
with a passing of life.

Caught in a Dream

Seconds to seasons
minutes to years
time might become
as tears and fears.
Seeing the waters
as life’s champagne
a rippling essence
of a seasonal rain.
As melting of snow
creates and elates
it forms windows
for different dates.
This may only be
a reflective cuisine
tasted by eyesight
caught in a dream.

Time Ticks Along

Thinking of the times
that have drifted away
makes minds ponder
of a time another day.
A breath we breathed
and the sights we saw
live on upon a stage
that’s filled full of awe.
Days bright and sunny
a few clouds up above
display the blessings
as God’s form of love.
The beauty of nature
and memories of then
transform the seconds
to a monumental wind.
A breeze of importance
blowing with intent
aimed upon becoming
a moment of content.
Peace and tranquillity
as a Heaven sent song
continue as memories
as time ticks along.

Pictures Taken

Photographic images
of a wintertime stage
become as memories
like a turn of a page.
Created in moments
with a click of a view
as one takes pictures
of times that accrue.
There might be snow
that so many delight
transforming scenery
to a wintery white.
There might even be
snow melting away
for soon a season
will show another day.
One that might be as
a little bit mistaken
found in time frames
with pictures taken.

Haiku
for Mar 30,  2024

Yesterday’s thinking
might become good tools to use
only if they are smart.

Throughout history
we might repeat our mistakes
if they are not learned.

Trivial thinking
can make mountains of mole hills
if not seen clearly.

Some years of our life
might look just like tornadoes,
but we made it thru.

We are like snowflakes
for no matter the journey,
we’re all different.

Watching a time clock
you might think time has slowed down,
but it goes its pace.

Trading off for things
can resolve you the loser,
for you might trade down.

Limitless moments
live in the shadows of life
as spirits live on.

Jumping from a plane
you must have a parachute
or not jump again.

Clinging to seasons
you might find yourself saddened
from all the changes.

Changes within you
might not be seen by others
if they are hidden.

Flavors of sunsets
are depicted in the views
and how they’re perceived.

The love that we share
can blossom into beauty
and become a rose.

Treading too lightly
we might not feel the journey
needed in the bumps.

Cherishing the past
can plant a garden in now,
but be sure it’s good.

Yearning for a drink
from the faucet of liquor
can become trouble.

Dreading tomorrow
needs perspective in today
to better the stride.

Living on the edge
can create many errors
that are razor blades.

Hearing a story,
but not paying attention
can leave you empty.

A forest of thought
can become as a journey
that teaches a path.

Heavenly blessings
are as artwork on canvas
painted by Jesus.

Seasons remembered
are often our reflections
found within photos.
